Reviews for Kasagpan
Review 1:Beautiful well presented and peaceful set in a gorgeous location. The owners and their lovely staff really could not do enough to make you welcome and ensure your stay is fantastic. Eager to please and so friendly, helpful beyond expectation. They really go the extra mile for you. Fantastic food, great local produce cooked to order and such a stunning and beautiful small resort. Accommodation is spacious, comfortable and clean and finished to the highest of standards with the perfect blend of the stylish and minimalistic approach. You will want for nothing here if you appreciate beauty, peace, great food and wonderful service. A home from home but better.
Review 2:Wow!! This small hotel looked to me more like a luxury resort! The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. The staff so friendly and welcoming!! I would have loved to stay loger.. * I added some photos, not the best quality, but the place is really amazing!
Review 3:None really.
Review 4:Tita Fe was very nice and was giving us the best deals and connections for our excursions which the kids enjoy a lot. The couch service from Kuya Bernie Gonzalez was really great as he knows a lot of great guides that convinced us to take the night safari which the whole family enjoyed ... from dolphin watching through a swim on the beach, the kids enjoyed it.
Review 5:There is nothing we didnt like Everythink was perfect !
Review 6:Best family botique hotel in bohol. The entire family will be there if anything needed, the staff is very nice and helpfull . Rooms are very big and comfortble with awesom view , everything is brand new. We couldnt ask for more. We would rate it above 10 if it was possible.
Review 7:Nothing
Review 8:Amazing family run small hotel. The owners couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect from providing toys for our 2 year old son to going to the shops and cooking off menu. The tour they arranged was a great day out. The location is great with stunning views out to sea and a great pool. Nothing was ever too much trouble and felt so welcome
Review 9:nothing at all
Review 10:beautiful and clean place to stay, friendly staff, very nice and helpful owners let us feel at home away from home, delicious food-one of the best during our trip,we miss this place a lot
Review 11:This is such a comfortable, private and affordable resort. A perfect setting on a hillside bluff overlooking coral shorelines, it instantly welcomes you to relax in the beauty of Bohol. The management and staff want you to be, and treat you as, part of the family. Such a great place to which to return after touring or just a great way to spend a day relaxing by the pool and seashore.
Review 12:Wifi in room no good. Many ants. One night is 5000 peso. We stayed 5nights. IF you pay this amount yOU could expect a better breakfast. 3small toast. Spoonful marmelade.butter. Tv no good. IF they promise youdinner at 6 pm, they cannot serve it because cook were staying inchurch.meals were so so so.....
Review 13:Bungalow is nice, good location. That staff is friendly I expect.
Review 14:It does not have a beach walk, but the place is being expanded which will, include the beach walk.
Review 15:The staff are friendly, hospitable and accommodating. The owners were hands on. The place is clean and quiet. It is smaller which gives it the homey feeling.
Review 16:The bathroom in the room had no aircondition, so after every visit to the bathroom, you felt like having been in a sauna. The food in the restaurant was fine, but the kitchen logistics was not. One preorders meals and decides on a serving time. Then when having ordered a starter and a main course, one discovers that the starters have been made way in advance and are cold when served. Then you get the main courses on the table at the same time, so they also get cold before you can eat them. You order eggs sunny side, but the are always served easy over. The toasts are also cold, because they have been toasted way in advance and tastes like paper board.
Review 17:We wanted a quiet place to relax, and Kasagpan fits the bill. It is, however, quite far from the city centre., so one must rely on transport. We were lucky to be the only couple staying there, so we had Michael to our disposal as driver, which was really great. The place is beautifully laid out with pool and stunning sunset views, a place to take it easy and read good books.
Review 18:It is clear that they are not "completely open" yet and have some coordination problems. However, I hope they get solved with some time and experience.
Review 19:Beautiful environment. Helpful service and people. Good rooms. Nice swimming pool, although I could not use it :)
Review 20:Very slow internet. Unforeseen additional charges for tour costs. No air conditioning in the restaurant, although the views were beautiful.
Review 21:Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location near to the beach. Cheap snorkelling opportunity right on the hotel doorstep.
Review 22:The wifi wasn't working very well apart of that everything else was superb!
Review 23:The staff make you feel welcomed and the place is really quiet and peaceful. The menu is quite varied and food is great and fresh! Recommended for relaxation and having a brake away from stress and noise.
Review 24:There is only one thing I did not like. The name of the resort should be 'Paradise' or 'Heaven' instead of Kasagpan :)
Review 25:The resort is in a marvellous location with a breathtaking ocean view. Staff are kind, helpful and highly respectful. Very good choice of breakfast and lunch menu on site. I was also fortunate enough to meet one of the owners mrs. Epi who made me feel safe and well looked after though out the entire stay. Best place to go for in Bohol!
Review 26:Dinner and breakfast to improve (this is in progress, after discussionwith the owner)
Review 27:--The view over the bay --the swimming pool --the friendly owneralways free for advices and services ti improve our stay and vistingof the areas
Review 28:The view of the waterfront. Very close to Tagbilaran airport was convenient. Nice place to stay. Would stay again. Kasapan is relaxing and quiet. We stayed one night would like to have stayed longer.
Review 29:Their kitchen routine is not yet perfect. Food was great but a bit cold when served. I'm sure they will get there ;)
Review 30:Great location, quite and relaxing. Very helpful staff and owner. They took care of us like family. It's a nice place to get away from the city noise. Pool is great as well!
Review 31:It was a short stay for two nights and three days, however we enjoyed Kasagpan and made the best memories. All we can say is “thank you” to all of the Kasagpan staff for very hospitality and perfect services and a nice talking with them. We cannot wait to go again!
Review 32:Mostly the room, grounds, staff, services and views are great. We spent 12 days in Bohol touring it easy. I am retired so no rushing it. Kasagpan is not like a hotel, more like your own backyard with maybe some company. Very quiet and private. Good mix of people, couples and families. It is only months old so it is a work in progress and will only get better as time goes on, (like fine wine) but has all the amenities to have a great carefree and relaxing time. We have spent three months traveling the Philippines and have stayed at five star and less hotels. For us it was a lucky find. We have found this location to be one of the nicest places for an a amazingly reasonable price.
Review 33:Food was a 5 at best with the free breakfast being ok but could have done better. Forget dinner there and go out to eat. No beach to walk on! Construction noise in middle of day and location at the end of residential area. Outside seating could use cushions. This place has no amenities whatsoever it's only a one nighters and u will have to find transportation around the city motorbike or trike cab .... That's not good coming out of a late movie. Save your money and go to South Palms Resort instead.
Review 34:Owner of property is extremely nice. Rooms are clean and new. Very small but private place. Nice but small pool. Free shuttle to and from seaport.
Review 35:The fences around the border were a little unsafe, especially for young children, but I believe since they have only opened a few months that improvements are on the way.
Review 36:The staff could not do enough to make our stay comgortable. They even picked fresh vegetables from the garden, so everything was nice and freash. The location is perfect for the airport and only a short ride to the mall.
Review 37:one small thing that can be improved upon is the dinner menu. it would be nice to have a few more traditional filipino dishes available.
Review 38:Kasagpan is not a typical beach resort, but rather a beautiful set of houses set in a relaxing atmosphere on a rock by the sea. The staff are incredibly helpful. When I forgot my universal plug at the hotel, one of the ladies who helps manage the place brought it to the airport during her free time while i was waiting for my flight. The fresh fruits and the amazing desserts are definitely a highlight on the menu. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable and the shower, with its pebbled floor and rain-shower head round off the relaxing atmosphere in the place. overall amazing stay.
Review 39:bad wifi bad air con. all the staff of hotel gone at 9pm and lift u alone without any service like drinks or food it is sutiable for elder dont waist ur life thete
Review 40:sea view only
Review 41:Limited choices for breakfast
Review 42:I just love the breathtaking view of the sea and sunsent, relaxing ambiance, bed and sheets, bathroom, accomodating staff and the pool. It's really good that there are only a few rooms to avoid crowding.
Review 43:I mostly like the owner of the resort, Mrs. Epi Geston. She is so accomodating & very gracious. She's an environmental advocate as well. The resort is far from the maddening crowd of tourists. It's very peaceful & new. It has the perfect view of sunset, thus, the name "Kasagpan" (kasadpan), which means sunset in boholano. Imwould highly recommend this resort. Thanks for the free transport from the pier to the resort & back
Review 44:Building a resort next to a rooster farm!?!?!? The 3 or 4am wake upevery morning became very frustrating to say the least. As I've worked in hospitality for over 20yrs, the owner REALLY needs research other tropical resorts and to listen to the guests and not run a resort for HER pleasure. Little to no cocktails....WTH? The menu really needs a review too! Letting her staff do their jobs would be very beneficial to not only her staff but for her business.Let them finish one job before starting another! If it wasn't for her staff, I'd have left after 2 days.
Review 45:Firstly, the staff are lovely! Joy and Ivy are so very nice along withthe other staff. The location on the coast is beautiful and every daythe sunsets never disappointed.
Review 46:Internet has a weak signal, but you'll never find good internet connection in the Philippines islands, except in Manila hotels! Sea is accessible from the back of the resort for swimming, but no beach to rest or walk like you can expect in the Philippines. Unfortunately, the white sand has been brought from this public beach to rich people place.
Review 47:Very clean and brand new resort at the sea, warm pool with confortable facilities around, lovely deck for massage and/or watching sunset, owner is attentive to the customers wellness: good food, clean rooms, nice welcome, good service airport pick/drop and all Bohol excursions including watch the dolfins, island hopping, panglao beach, meet tarsiers at sanctuary, chocolate hills, etc...suitable location for a calm getaway. Not suitable for people looking for crowd and bars you'd better go to pangloa beach, but for those looking for both, the reception will arrange driver & drop off /pick up at night for small extra charge. Very good money value.
Review 48:This resort has not officially "opened" yet, according to Eppy, the owner. I noticed some of the perimeter construction was still not completed. The most glaring deficiency is the lack of a credit card swiping capability. I got into a situation where I had to come up with a large amount of cash to pay my bill. This was a real hassle! This was not mentioned in the Booking.com advertisement on line! The other deficiency that I did not like was their in-room "safes". They're a joke. Your valuables will not be safe in them. It is nothing more than a part of the bathroom's closet area and consists of a simple wooden locker with a simple lock that anyone could easily break into!! I did not feel secure under these conditions.
Review 49:This property is off the beaten path, situated on Bohol Island proper just north of the city center of Tagbilaran. It has great views of sunsets and the harbor. Fishermen live next door and one can wile away the hours taking in the scenery and local Filipino children swimming in the shallows where the bangka boats are anchored.
Review 50:For us this resort is a Paradise!
Review 51:We love the resort so much that we extended for another night! We all had great time and good memories in KASAGPAN!!!! Thank you for making our vacation Memorable!

Review 53:No problems!
Review 54:Beautiful room, good water pressure and amazing sunset! Definitely try the pati lechon, it was the greatest meal we had all week!
Review 55:Hotel is great but the best thing there is the owner.
Review 56:I would recommend a better breakfast for the price.
Review 57:The hotel is very nice, the staff is so nice and nice food.
Review 58:Nothing!
Review 59:Everything. I felt really relaxed and happy, and they offer shuttle to the pier, very convenient.
Review 60:Restaurant and breakfast could be better

Review 64:Nothing at all, had a perfectly pleasant stay here.

Review 81:a little isolated
Review 82:nice rooms and the setting was god, beautifull sunset and view out to sea
Review 83:There is a limited choice of food in the menu. The resto closes at an early time.
Review 84:The view of the sea has a very calming effect....
