Reviews for Broomelea Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:Rain,rain and more rain.We saw nothing of the Blue Mountains.

Review 2:The hosts and accommodation were very good with breakfast cooked to order each morning. The pancakes were delicious and enormous! The location of the property was walking distance to Leura and would have been perfect had the weather been kinder. There was very little to do in the area in the bad weather.

Review 3:Furniture, although fits the overall atmosphere, is a bit too old. Nevertheless, there are too many other things to love about the property to even look at the furniture. A bit overpriced.

Review 4:Lovely fireplace, nice breakfast, very clean (everything sparkles). We loved out huge room with a smokey flavor and big windows. The B&B is close to Leura center, restaurants, shops. Also very close (10-20 min driving) to main touristic attractions. Overall, I would definitely recommend the place for a romantic weekend.

Review 5:A relaxed environment, very comfortable, excellent breakfast, character of the facility, friendly owners. Only 10 minutes walk from Leura shops and restaurants.

Review 6:I stayed in the Coach House, and loved it all. Great to have a kitchen and the little woodburner was terrific. Wish I could have taken it with me on the rest of my travels...! Was so well looked after, everything provided, very thoughtful and helpful hosts.

Review 7:Loved it! Very welcoming and helpful host. Really enjoyed staying in the cute, homely coach-house which would be perfect for a longer stay as it had plenty of space, a great kitchen, spa bath and lounge area. Every detail had been thought of. Loved the thoughtful touches like Tim Tams in the fridge and chockies for late night cravings. The location is great - within easy walk to Leura shops, the escarpment with wonderful mountain views and walking tracks. Next time we will definitely stay more than one night.

Review 8:The decor, the four-poster bed with warm beneath, the powerful and hot shower facilities, the wonderful breakfast, its excellent location, and the most helpful housekeeper.

Review 9:Loved everything

Review 10:A beautiful house with charming rooms and a delicious breakfast. The host was kind and attentive.- Walking distance from Leura's shops and restaurants

Review 11:We had a self container cottage. Lovely lovely place. Lots of small touches that make a difference, like heater in the bathroom and big tv and huge selection of dvds. That was great as we had horrible weather during our stay there. I rained non stop but the cottage made our day.

Review 12:NO OIL PROVIDED OR VINEGAR IN THE KITCHEN ( IF THEY PROVIDE SALT+PEPPER+ MILK WE THINK THEY SHOULD PROVIDE OIL+VINEGAR)

Review 13:LOCATION, THE COTTAGE WITH THE CARACHTER, FACILITIES

Review 14:Everything perfectly suited what we were seeking - comforting, nurturing, recharging, ideally located for walking, sightseeing and sampling local hospitality on foot.

Review 15:Beautiful accommodation in very handy central location in Leura. Also Bryan dropped off my very heavy bag at the train station and carried it down the stairs to the platform. So kind! Will come again. Not a negative thing to say.

Review 16:We were given the coach cottage, which was a separate property with a kitchen, toilet, living room, and three beds. It was a beautiful little cottage with everything we wanted, including air-con, and it was very comfortable! Breakfast was provided in the room - simple but satisfying.

Review 17:There was nothing we didn't like!!

Review 18:We stayed in the self-contained Coach House, surrounded by a beautiful garden. The Coach House had everything we could ever need and was very clean, easy to use, warm and oh so comfortable. Free, off-street parking just outside our front door! We could have stayed for weeks, not the two nights we had booked.

Review 19:Put this place on your bucket list! Broomelea has everything you could wish for in a B & B. The ambience, accommodation facilities and breakfast were all exceptional. Location is also ideal for visiting the many interesting areas of the Mountains and for the spectacular and varied bush walks. Add to these the genuinely pleasant and obliging(without being intrusive in any way) hosts, Denise and Brian.

Review 20:Loved the beautiful period features, the spacious rooms and especially the cozy fire in the bedroom. The owners were so welcoming and helpful, and served a delicious breakfast.

Review 21:21deg of the room was a tad cool for us. But easy fix with the fire place and light coat. So no issue anyway

Review 22:We loved, house, fire place, location and the new section and the warmth the fire place provided, comfortable furnishing. The relaxed and welcoming feeling we got from owners etc!

Review 23:Probably just that side of the queen size bed. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

Review 24:The design of the cottage, how cosy it was and the hosts were very helpful, friendly and nice people. Everything was also well prepared for us, the breakfast, the facilities (good fireplace with everything prepared, and heaters everywhere on beds, toilets). Value for money!

Review 25:Loved the heritage features including fire place in our room while appreciating WiFi access and range of eclectic art including steam funk style lamps. Wine and homemade cakes in the guest lounge of an evening by the fire was a lovely touch.

Review 26:We had absolutely nothing to dislike during our stay.

Review 27:We stayed in the cottage. It was fully contained, spotless and warm in the midst of winter. The hosts were exceptional and meet the happy balance of being available whenever required and allowing space for visitors.

Review 28:The drive way into the property is too steep and at a bad angle for normal sedan cars and scrapes the underside of the front of the cars. This makes it difficult to drive out of the property.

Review 29:The hosts were very welcoming .The house was beautifully presented .

Review 30:Broomelea was the perfect place for a romantic getaway from the city. Bryan helped out with providing a romantic setting in the room by going above and beyond expectations.

Review 31:Shower took ages for the hot water to come through, and the bathroom was ineffective, otherwise a relaxing and beautiful place to stay.

Review 32:nearly everything, but especially the bed!

Review 33:The thoughtful touches everywhere...the fresh baked goods in the general area, mints in the room, newspaper on the weekend...The delicious and generous breakfasts. The hospitality-- very friendly and personable.

Review 34:Can't think of anything massively negative. If I was being picky I'd say breakfast was a bit basic, and was a do-it-yourself affair. I think if you were in the main house it would have been a more traditional b&b set up, but this did not cause any issues and was more the adequate for us.

Review 35:The Broomlea was a great place to stay for seeing the Blue Mountains. Bryan and Denise were great hosts and really friendly. We were given a map of the area and a local guide book book when we arrived which was really helpful planning our days there. There were three of us staying and we were put up in a fantastic annex, with a small kitchen, bathroom and separate bedroom. It was perfect, with breakfast provided and Internet access. The main house is a beautiful federation era property with a great garden. 10 minutes walk into Leura, and 5/10 min drive to some beautiful walks, look out points and local attractions.

Review 36:Nothing except that our stay was too short!

Review 37:We loved everything about our stay. Brian, the owner was extremely helpful and gave us lots of helpful information (plus maps and books) about sightseeing in the area. Our accommodation was comfortable and furnished with the most amazing, eclectic mix of artefacts. Lots of DVD's available plus lovely chocolate brownies and other homemade goodies. The location is excellent - just a short stroll from Leura Mall. Perfect place from which to enjoy the Blue Mountains.

Review 38:Everything about this place is top quality - the rooms are lovely, spacious and comfortable, the location perfect to walk to cafes, restaurants and shops, the breakfast was very hearty and the owners Brian & Denise friendly and helpful.

Review 39:Great big high window above bed without screen - so early sunlight 6am wakes you up - I want to sleep in on a lazy W/E away ;-).

Review 40:Fully self Contained, nicely decorated Coach house, GREAT CENTRAL Location walk to Shops or Tourist walks & vistas. Cozy log burner lovely gardens, off street parking Plenty of good Continental Breakfast food provided - but it was unclear on Bookings.Com that the Coach House gets self Serve Continental Breakfast, not Hot Breakfast in Dining room. This is a little clearer on the B&B own site, but I missed reading that

Review 41:Nothing, will go there again.

Review 42:Huge well decorated room in an old weatherboard mansion within walking distance of Leura Mail. Exceptional free breakfast in charming room, free quality port and sherry together with chocolates & shortbread in the lovely guest drawing room. Vey clean too.

Review 43:No complaints here.

Review 44:Coach house was perfection! Facilities were excellent, staff were helpful and friendly. Beautiful, peaceful location. Leura is a lovely place to spend a few days. Next time I'll stay for a week!

Review 45:Nothing!

Review 46:Every aspect of this B&B is outstanding. From the moment you enter the property you can sense a wonderful atmosphere. The attention to detail is amazing with every comfort you could imagine. Even down to a blazing fire in the guest living room on a cooler day in February which was the icing on the cake for us.
