Reviews for Corvallis Budget Inn
Review 1:door lock doesn't work light over desk doesn't work Heater/AC only 2 settings HOT=COLD no Kleenex no extra blankets hard to find location of motel (spent an hour looking for it!)
Review 2:Bed was hard. Very expensive, but that was because all motels in the area were full, since it was a home game weekend in a college town. No breakfast whatsoever.
Review 3:Very clean.
Review 4:A small cleaned up old strip motel. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable, slept on a hard, thin mattress. Bathroom was mostly clean, not real clean. The room smelled/felt damp. Bare essentials only. We used toilet, not shower (not clean). Poor Security, door could be easily broken, used a doorknob latch, No safe for valuables, nor any place to lock Laptop. No Breakfast. Very expensive, same cost as 3-star Hilton hotel by the University. This was OK as a Last Resort.
Review 5:The owner was good, had the room ready for us, and good information about the location in relation to the University football game.
Review 6:It is not centrally located and gets a fair amount of traffic noise from hwy 34.
Review 7:It was cozy and I like that it is single story. Shower was awesome! Like standing under a water fall. Staff was very nice. Liked frig and microwave.
Review 8:When we walked in the office, we thought, yuck what is that awful smell?!! The guy was not respectful and complained a lot about the price he charged me for. He said there was a mistake and that he should charge me more for the whole weekend!!
Review 9:When we drove up to the place we thought it looks clean from the outside.
Review 10:I forgot to ask staff wifi code at check in. It was late when I tried access. Didn't feel comfortable bothering staff at that hour. Wish staff would make a habit of offering code at check in.
Review 11:Convenient location.
Review 12:Used soap and shampoo in bathroom, carpet filthy, desk clerk was unable to give us any help when we called for directions, and later gave us misinformation about locale. It was a dive.
Review 13:Location is good when going to OSU football game.
Review 14:The room was old, dingy, and even had a slanted floor. Not worth the$150/night. Only reason I even considered the place was it was theonly thing available in a 10 mile radius
Review 15:The only reason why we stayed was because of the proximity to Avery Park where we tailgated before the game. The bed was hard and the towels were see through. Way over priced even for a Beaver's game night.
Review 16:The staff was very welcoming.
Review 17:The bath was a bit cramped but it was just me so I could make it work.
Review 18:This hotel is walking distance to my sister's house so the location may not be perfect for everyone but it was just what I wanted.
Review 19:Couldn't turn the TV up loud enough to hear over the air conditioner.
Review 20:For a budget inn, this place is great. Single story ( no thumps and bumps above you or below), clean room, big flat screen, fast internet, firm bed, nice shower head, direct TV with HBO, and quiet. Only one block from park and river walk, and only a few blocks from downtown. This is a good place to stay in town for few days for other events. Like any budget inn, expect noisy heat/cooling unit, and no breakfast or HD. We booked for a week and the owner put us away from the street, with empty rooms on each side which was very thoughtful.
Review 21:There were not enough towels in the room. Although there were laundry facilities available, they did not have any laundry soap available to purchase. The vending machine was out of water and the owner did not want to refund the money put into the machine.
Review 22:Our flight was very late and they did accommodate us by letting us register at 3:00 in the morning.
Review 23:Advertises pool but no pool. Beds were like sleeping on rocks. Reservation was non refundable and I was stuck without a pool and bed of rocks.. So sad.. Stay at the super 8 or anyplace but here
Review 24:Close to favorite pizza place and coffee stand
Review 25:It was a good value for the money - I was traveling alone and needed an inexpensive overnight stay. The room was very basic, but clean - simple toiletries were provided - and the night was quiet and uneventful.
Review 26:The table to sit at was very shakey and you could not use your computer on it, the stove top was not necessary since we did not plan to cook other than use the microwave. The bathroom fan was loud but did not remove any of the steam from the mirror.
Review 27:The beds were comfortable, flat screen was nice, we like to have a microwave and frig.
Review 28:The microwave in the didn't work at all.
Review 29:The room was clean. I was able to check in early and leave my bags. We had plans to go to the coast and wouldn't be back till late.
Review 30:Exiting the parking lot turning left toward downtown Corvallis can be awkward. It is best to avoid attempting this during rush hour.
Review 31:The room was quiet, heater and appliances were in good working order, and there was plenty of hot water for showering. I enjoyed the beautiful flowering tree just outside my door.
Review 32:The room smelled musty and the smell was difficult to get rid of even with bedroom and bathroom windows open. The rubber strip at the bottom of the shower door was half off and laying on the floor. There were crumbs under and around the desk on the carpet.
Review 33:The person at the check-in desk was very pleasant. It was nice having a microwave and refrigerator in the room, as well as good Wi-Fi.
Review 34:They are very nice folks but they do not emphasize service.
Review 35:Rooms are clean, well maintained (tile in bathroom, freshly painted, etc.). A few stains here and there but nicely furnished overall. Very good value for a $50 - $70 night motel.
Review 36:Low quality TV picture, HDMI cables would go a long ways. Our window view was a condemned building.. Not all views are the same and it is not something the hotel could change, so I do not blame the hotel.
Review 37:Staff was extremely nice. A 20 minute walk from Reeser Stadium. This hotel is next to Avery Park, where many game attendees park their vehicles. You end up walking with other fans to the stadium. Price was more than fair. A fridge and Microwave in our room that I was not expecting to see.
Review 38:The former weekly type motel is in deep need of updating - old gas stoves in kitchen area should be removed along with the extremely old carpet. Prices were 30 to 50% higher than other hotels in this range.
Review 39:Convenient for OSU event, but nothing else.
Review 40:Shower didn't really drain. Flatscreen picture was awful. Bed not that great. The two burners in the kitchen purposely don't work.
Review 41:Easy check in and check out. Internet was fast. Location was great. Clean.
Review 42:What we thought was a stained floor turned out to be a layer of rust colored dust on the kitchen floor. No one was at the office when we left to report this to.
Review 43:Staff was friendly at check-in.
Review 44:Definitely not worth the price charged. We went during inflated rate season (ball games, move in students, etc). Book plenty in advance if needing to travel to corvallis during special time.
Review 45:Nice washer and dryer for use when requested (kept locked). Bedding good and ample room size. Liked being able to park outside room or close by.
Review 46:The owners were very accommodating, the hotel is around the corner to Avery Park, and walking distance to Reser Stadium
Review 47:Staff was very nice...when we asked if we could extend our check-out time, they did so for a small extra fee, which allowed us to get ready for a late afternoon wedding. All in all, a decent experience. Appreciated the inexpensive price, which was half of what the others who attended the wedding were paying!
Review 48:The bed was a little hard and the bathroom mirror was a bit awkwardly placed.
Review 49:Even though it was budget friendly, it was clear from the flowers blooming outside the rooms to the fresh coat of paint, that there was a pride of management. I would stay here again.
Review 50:When I got there to checkin the office was closed. So I had to find somewhere els to stay that night.
Review 51:Nothing
Review 52:Nice and quiet. Plenty of parking.
Review 53:rooms are small and outdated.
Review 54:it is acceptable but overpriced.
Review 55:Older room and bathroom. Needs updating.
Review 56:It was close to OSU Campus
Review 57:Nothing to report. Haven't been disappointed
Review 58:Staff is always helpful, very friendly and inviting. And rooms can't be beat for the price point.
Review 59:Dirty room, not enough toilet paper, uncomfortable beds, unhelpful staff.
Review 60:Far from Campus, not super comfortable for the amount we paid, wouldn't have wanted to stay longer or rebook.
Review 61:Good for a 1 night stay.
Review 62:Outdated and the beds were very uncomfortable.
Review 63:It was walkable to Reser stadium and it was clean.
Review 64:bed boards need dusting, room just wasn't very clean, and a little shabby
Review 65:great location near Avery park
Review 66:Bed was hard
Review 67:Inexpensive clean
Review 68:walking distance to shops and restuarants.
Review 69:Great clean easy convenience
Review 70:Paper thin walls like most older motels.
Review 71:Geat budget hotel. Serves its purpose and was clean.
Review 72:Found someone's food in refrigerator.
Review 73:price
Review 74:very rude staff
Review 75:I like 'mom & pop' spots which is what this is.
Review 76:Very clean and beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Review 77:On busy road.
Review 78:Near bike trails
Review 79:The bed was wayyyyy to hard to be comfortable.
Review 80:Quiet comfortable room
Review 81:Love the couple who own the place. They were very friendly. Place was 6 min away from Oregon State University. Decent place for the money.
Review 82:On busy street, could hear traffic noise. Found several bugs in the room.
Review 83:Friendly staff, clean
Review 84:Bathroom needed updating.
Review 85:Room was clean
Review 86:Staff, access in and out and overall spacious rooms.
Review 87:I probably won't stay there again.
Review 88:Everything was what was expected for the price. The only thing I like was customer service.
Review 89:trouble with TV
Review 90:Location and price
Review 91:everything, not worth a dime!
Review 92:Motel needs some TLC...paint...general improvements...no breakfast.
Review 93:Close to OSU
Review 94:Bed was awful. May as well slept on the floor.
Review 95:Clean. Nice to have little micro and fridge.
Review 96:Staff charged me more and didn't give me an itemized receipt. Had to call office and then treated like an idiot when asking for information.
Review 97:no wifi no breakfast price for not having additional amenities
Review 98:closeness to stadium.
Review 99:Clean place. Great location. Beds were a bit uncomfortable but overall not bad for a place to stay after an OSU football game.
Review 100:We did pay 120 but it was game night and choices are limited. But it is a place to stay instead of driving 4 hours.
Review 101:typical old structure, lipstick on a pig.
Review 102:location when theres nothing else available.
Review 103:heating system, bed bad, bathroom cold maid service not great
Review 104:manager helpfull very good manager
Review 105:floor smelled like urine
Review 106:very nice and helpful staff
Review 107:The room smelled bad, and the person at the counter checking me in wasn't very friendly
Review 108:My aunt reserved the room for me. They mixed up my reservation with my parents room and would not let me stay only one night. Made me pay for two nights but had my parents only staying one night when they were staying two. Said there was a 2 night minimum when that wasn't the case. Would never stay there again. Old, outdated and unfriendly staff.
Review 109:Close to OSU and Avery Park.
Review 110:They didn't have the reservation right. Had only one night instead of two. Our son who was in a separate room who was only there for the one night was forced to pay for two nights. They said a 2 night minimum which was never told to us. They did not leave towels after the first night and we had to ask for them. Poor service.
Review 111:Way overpriced probably because of Oregon State's graduation.
Review 112:The room was fine and clean. The bed was firm and comfortable and the area was quiet.
Review 113:This hotel is run by a slumlord- do not stay here. The rooms were dirty, with hair in the bathtub and spiders in all the corners. The bathtub did not drain. All three rooms had recently been smoked in and the smell was attempted to be covered up by a strong perfume. The floors had not been vacuumed and we questioned the cleanliness of the bedding. Needless to say, we only stayed one night. However, we tried to cancel the rooms because of how gross they were and the owner told us he needed 72 hours notice so we were charged for rooms we didn't stay in. I regularly travel and had yet to stay in such a discusting place!
Review 114:Mom's weekend at OSU and it was the only option in town for a me and a friend. The bed is hard as a rock, the walls paper thin, and the place hasn't been updated since probably the 70s. It's your typical roadside flat roof budget hotel. Our neighbors were blaring the TV until we pounded on the wall at 4:30am. Would have liked the manager (owner) to take care if it, but phone calls from midnight to 4:00am went unanswered. I wouldn't stay there alone. If something happened, you'd never be able to get ahold of anyone. I presume $90 per night was the Mom's weekend special price. I can't imagine that's the regular price.
Review 115:Even though the place was clean and orderly, everything was pretty old. The ceiling light in my room stopped working. Also, the room had no alarm clock.
Review 116:I liked the convenience of the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. I also liked the price and think that, for the money, it was a great deal.
Review 117:No fan in bathroom. No heat in bathroom. No coffee maker in room or in office.
Review 118:Very friendly and helpful owners / staff. Clean room. Fairly close to the stadium at OSU. Very favorable rate. Quite location.
Review 119:The facility is just old. The heat did not work. There was no vent in the bathroom to let out steam from the shower or smells. the linen smelled of mildew.
Review 120:The staff was very accommodating and friendly. If I was alone I would have stayed for the price.
Review 121:uncomfortable beds and pillows. Threw away a washcloth that was full of holes. Had to ask for another towel, though there was bed space for four (two queens), they knew we were travelling with our son (taking him to college). Why not have as many linens as there are spaces on beds?
Review 122:Convenience to OSU. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 123:Dirty rooms with hair all over the bathroom floor behind door. Toilet wasn't cleaned. Bed was very uncomfortable, like sleeping on plywood. Main office and rooms smelled bad.
Review 124:Convenience to stadium
