Review 1：Convenience store should be open later than 6pm. After all it is a "convenience" store. There should also be vending machines with bottled water. The staff was kind enough to take us to the employee cafeteria vending machine after the convenience store had closed but unfortunately the machine did not contain bottled water.

Review 3：Ocean view was really a very very distant slice of the ocean. It was not ocean view like one would expect.

Review 5：This place does not have the value for your money! We had the partial ocean view with terrace. It was almost all garden and with a slight hint of ocean view so technically not an ocean view. Everything in the room was old and falling apart. There were several stains on the couch, carpet and even bed sheets. That's horrible! I have never stayed somewhere it was this disgusting! The rooms are horrible, they have the beds infront of the door, u can hear anyone that's walking, talking or doing anything a mile away. Their walls are not sound proof!!! There wa a family next to us and we could hear everything they would say and we had to constantly hear their family crisis. We have been to other resorts and the staff is more helpful and nice. However staff here is simple Rude! They look at u without a greeting or anything. They are simply rude! Same goes to Their Concierge. We had Ri-Ann or whatever her name was helping us out, day one very friendly but after that horrible customer service. We would ask her for recommendations since this was our first time on the island and she would constantly have this dumb look, like really? Do I need to help u! All i can say that the staff that worked their hated their job and the tourists but yet again that's all over Turksnand Caicos. We have been to several different Caribbean islands and I must say this far was the worst experience we have had. Definitely would not visit this resort ever again!

Review 15：This hotel was beyond what we expected! It was so beautiful and the staff was so kind and welcoming. The first night we got there we went straight to the beach which is just a few steps from the hotel. Clean beach with areas to sit and eat. Then we heard they were having complimentary rum punch, beer & appetizers by the pool! FREE! It was so perfect and I am so glad We picked this hotel. We didn't want to leave!

Review 16：We went in off season so the staff was limited and it took a lot of time to get extra towels, help with the safe and one of the staff went on an errand and took the bike keys with him so we had to wait for him to get back to unlock them.

Review 17：All of the locals are so nice and welcoming. We particularly had excellent service from Korna who worked at Hemingway's. He made our Hemingway's and Sands experience so memorable. The hotel is a few minutes walk to shopping, restaurants and a grocery store. We spent a couple of fun nights at Danny Buoy's and felt safe stumbling back to the hotel. For restaurants that are a little farther like Coco Bistro or the fish fry on Thursday's there are plenty of taxis waiting at the hotel to take you wherever you wish to go. The free bike and water sports equipment usage was abundant and a lot of fun to use. The beach was absolutely gorgeous, rooms were spacious, clean and the kitchenette is useful.

Review 18：Unfortunately our hire car was broken into whilst parked in the beach access road next to the hotel.Perhaps it would be better to request that all cars are parked within the hotel main car park.

Review 33：The beach was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our oceanfront room was larger then expected. We went and explored from Beaches property to Seven Stars. The Sands is one of the BEST parts of the beach and shopping areas.

Review 34：We Love Turks and Caicos - this property was convenient to everything. Kid friendly but not too crowded. The best Beach in the world is right in front of you. Staff was friendly and do anything for you.

Review 35：Our room was literally infested by "ants" from day one to the last day. The staff sprayed some product several times during our stay but nobody even bothered to clean the spots full of dead ants.. For the price we payed this was a big drawback, especially with three years old kid.

Review 39：Hemingway is fine for food and a nice spot by the beach but the food isn't that great. Fortunately, being so close to town you can explore alot of different restaurants or the bay bistro is a few properties away and is excellent.

Review 40：We had a 2 bed 2 bath Oceanview for the same price most bother resorts charge for a 1br. It's on a great stretch of grace beach, about in the middle and an easy 10 minute walk to restaurants and the supermarket. In in late may you can head to the beach at 10 am and still get an umbrella or palapa with no trouble, unlike in the high season. Reliable wi-fi and free use of bikes,sea kayaks, Hobie cats and stand up paddleboards. Washer dryer in unit also a great asset.

Review 41：Having paid for an "Ocean View" and with the photos on booking.com, we expected to be able to see the ocean. It seems Ocean View doesnt actually mean you can see the ocean!

Review 42：Room was vast and very relaxing. Well equipped. Access to beach is very easy and stafff helpful with tours and beach towels (you dont have to keep the same one!). Restaurant is very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. it is expensive but that seems to be an island issue more than the restaurant.

Review 43：Only thing that bothered me was little tiny bugs that seem to be on the counter top in kitchen & bathroom area. I've been to other island resorts & I guess no getting around the bugs. Also we were on the third floor with no elevator. Going up the stairs was killer everyday. Going down, not so bad, but would definitely go with patio location next time. Ocean view suite, was just a view, hoping it was more oceanfront, but then again, I guess we would be paying even more.

Review 44：Loved our stay at The Sands. Location was superb, along with the spectacular beach. Very friendly staff, eager to assist. Ocean view suite was beautiful. All the necessities you could think of there. Really nice space.

Review 45：Charging us $10 per person to take us to the grocery store which was a 5minute drive (if that) and then charging another $10 to wait for 10minutes while we shopped. The second time we went to resupply we walkedin and realized we forgot our credit cards so driver took us back tohotel to get card and charged us another $20. Total bill $50 -unbelieveable!!!!

Review 46：The water was gorgeous but that had nothing to do with the propertyand think I can thank God for that one. Rooms were nice and ac was adefinite plus. Also liked the screened in patio and pretty view ofthe gardens (although I did request ocean view and really didn'tget that).

Review 49：The Sands should just pay a little more attention to detail. The WiFi is pathetic and not even password protected. Our bed was way too soft. Our phone was broken on arrival and though they did send people up to look at it they never fixed or replaced it throughout our whole ten days. It's a little frustrating because a few cheap and easy changes and this place would be amazing.

Review 53：Only book excursions through the hotel! There are "salesmen" trolling the beach trying to get you to book with them for less money. They aren't sanctioned by the hotel and might not be a safe choice. Also, the "salesman" became hostile (cussing at hotel guy) when we started asking questions. He became extremely pushy when we figured out they were double booking, smooth talking basic con men. Front desk should tell you this at check in to prevent these situations. PS Bring your own pillow.

Review 71：Cons: Rooms are dated, which makes them appear dirty A fresh coat of paint and new blinds on doors would go a long way. Musty smell. Brownish water comes put if shower when first turned on daily. Maybe this is an issue at other resorts, but still gross. Just let it run for 10 sec and it is clear. Wifi is not dependable. Ok in room, but no access at beach or pool. Fitness facility is minimal. I think people "borrow" equipment for their rooms and don't return because the first day there were several floor mats and the next day (and thereafter) there were 0. And the lighter weight all disappeared. While this isn't the resorts fault, it is still annoying and they should put up signs not to remove it.

Review 74：I pretty much loved everything. The beaches and the clearity of the water on a bright sunny day is the best, visibility was awesome when snorkling around some of the reefs on the island. I wll come back to TCI.

The Ocean Vibes is great they are really helpful and the trips that we did (scuba 4 times; parasailing; deep sea fishing...) were superb.
