Reviews for St Paul Plaza Hotel
Review 1:At my arrival they calculated a price that was some 150 R$ more than the big blue print in the email I got from Booking.com. When I showed them the difference, they (correctly) pointed out that a fee of 10% was not included in this price (in small grey letters in the email from Booking.com) So the actual cost is 10% higher, keep this in mind when comparing prices!
Review 2:Location
Review 3:I was placed in a room which the next door apartment was refurbishing, and by 8am I woke up with drill and bumping hammer noises.
Review 4:Good location at a fair price (indeed I took an offer lower than the average I used to find).
Review 5:During the check out I was informed that there was an extra to pay for a lunch served at the room. When I informed that we had had no meal at the hotel, the guy said it referred to 6 bottles of mineral water (which we had bought at the machines in the lounge). He didn't present any signed request for water, but insisted on it and, as we were late to go to the airport, I payed twice for the water.
Review 6:I liked the room very much, mainly the beds and bathroom. We didn't have meals at the hotel so I can't evaluate the restaurant. The staff is kind especially the doorman.
Review 7:The bar area on the roof top saoule be improve to be a really confortable place to relax. Changing rooms should be added beside the sauna, as well as individual showers.
Review 8:The hotel charges the rate of 10% service charge plus the price of the hotel, which makes the cost too high for what it offers. The shower is electric and the check out time consuming. It is not necessary if we have to pay in advance.
Review 9:The free wifi is fast, but limited to 12 h.
Review 10:Staff were pushing for guests to take taxi....for example there is a bus available to take to the airport within 10 meters walk from the hotel but this information was not "happily" shared!
Review 11:Great location.
Review 12:a super comfy hotel to stay, the staff in the reception speak excellently english and they're willing to help you with anything. the location is good. nothing we can be choosy. I highly recommend you if you're looking for a hotel, try this one
Review 13:The door to our room jammed and they had to break it down to get us out. There was no apology or compensation, we were just sent to another room.
Review 14:Hotel facilities not impressing - no outside pool, bar etc. Most of the staff doesn't speak a word in English.
Review 15:Great rooms, very clean. Great WiFi in the rooms Ask for a room with balcony
Review 16:Staff unaccommodating. My flight got in several hours before check in and they would not even let me use the WiFi. The only time are staff spoke to me was when they t old me I could not have my socked feet on the couch as I sat there for several hours waiting quietly.
Review 17:It was not that close to the closest shopping mall.
Review 18:The bedroom and the bathroom were big. The breakfast/dinner area was big and the food was very good.
Review 19:Price was to high (probably because of the World Cup, but still) Tiny room with uncomfortable bad Broken toilet seat
Review 20:Location is quite alright Some of the stuff do speak English
Review 21:It's like a student campus .i don't know how can i explain. There is no hot water in the bathroom tab, no coffe , tea facility in the room even no dressing cabinet,,no no there is but no doors. Jym area like 20sqm whit few old style equitment. They charge over but gives nothing.I don't recoment this ? place to any one.
Review 22:Wifi was very poor 2 out of 3 staff people were not nice at all Elevators didn't work that well Price/comfort ratio was overpriced. probably because of the World Cup, but they didn't offer extra services like shuttles
Review 23:The location was very good The room was comfortable Breakfast was ok
Review 24:A little bit crowded breakfast. More choice of fruits and juices is required.
Review 25:Clean, comfortable rooms; enough space in rooms, no noise from other rooms and corridor. Overall impression of the hotel is good.
Review 26:The bathrooms could have used a bit more counter space, the toilet seat was plastic (but it seems this is common in all 3 hotels we stayed at in brasil)
Review 27:The staff was great, the king size bed was appreciated, and the large rooms were great - it had a dining table where we could work on the laptop or enjoy our meal without getting it all over the bed.
Review 28:Wifi did not work on my phone, and receptionists were not able to fix it (they told me I could use the computer available at the lobby, and pay for it). Finally they called support and they fixed it, but on my last day. Also, they did not have caipirinhas on the roof top bar (!)
Review 29:Nice room. Nice pool on the roof top.
Review 30:-Wi-Fi cut out at times, requiring repeated log-ins
Review 31:-Great location in Brasilia -Excellent and helpful English-speaking staff -Well-appointed rooms -Included breakfast was great
Review 32:I enjoyed the freshly done breakfast, i did not have to worry of trying out the new dishes...everything was great!
Review 33:Basic barracks style
Review 34:Nothing
Review 35:The staff are very nice
Review 36:They charge additional fee of 10% of the price
Review 37:View of the capitol
Review 38:Hotel atendeu as expectativas!
Review 39:Hotel just like the city: fine and clean and completely without charm.
Review 40:Excellent breakfast Good location Friendly staff Clean room Comfy bed
Review 41:Clean and comfortable hotel with nice staff, though not all of them speak English.
Review 42:Wi-Fi (again)...couldn't connect by stated means...
Review 43:Convenience and a very good standard
Review 44:Nothing at all.
Review 45:The Staff was very helpful, the breakfast was good, the location was central and the room was excellent.
Review 46:Prices in Brasilia are high. The room was not luxurious, just basic.
Review 47:This is a well run business hotel.
Review 48:nichts - nothing
Review 49:Leckeres Essen im Restaurant - restaurant with very good food
Review 50:everything ok
Review 51:Nice room with good Wifi, 2 minutes to a big shopping complex, relaxed part of the city, nice staff
Review 52:Amazing Location, The shopping centre is a couple of minutes away and very every to find.
Review 53:nothing
Review 54:confort
Review 55:Toalha encardida
Review 56:Café expresso no café da manhã
Review 57:The hotel could have been cleaner, the staff/atmosphere more friendly and the price lower.
Review 58:Location, professionalism, room, breakfast.
Review 59:Staying in a room that received the sound of aircon machines with loud noise during the night.
Review 60:Good location, clean. Delicious pão de queijo!
Review 61:WiFi a bit intermittent & had to keep logging on
Review 62:Location was excellent and breakfast was good as well
Review 63:Internet was terrible slow in the room, I had to go to the lobby area.
Review 64:Good location, near the Nacional stadium.
Review 65:Excellent and helpful English-speaking staff.Location was good .
Review 66:Good location
Review 67:really good experience, friendly front desk stuff, nice location, beautiful city!
Review 68:Room and washroom was a good size Surprise room had access to balcony Bed comfortable
Review 69:everything is perfect
Review 70:the internet room was with charge really weak wi-fi signal
Review 71:good service
Review 72:Great Food (Parmegiana) Nice rooms
Review 73:Most uncomfortable bed I slept on in Brazil.
Review 74:Location, price, staff, breakfast, cleanliness all good.
Review 75:Amazing room for the price! Walking distance to the stadium for World Cup games. Food on the property is amazing!
Review 76:Staff, breakfast, lake view, everything perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.
Review 77:Amazing Location, very clean and good facilities. Close the Stadium which was a Plus.Breakfast was very good a lot of options. WiFi speed is good, 100% Recommended
Review 78:Wi-fi rarely worked.
Review 79:Staff were friendly, accomodating, and helpful. Location was good, 25 minutes walking from the stadium. Reasonable price considering other hotels in the area and including the pool, sauna, and quality of maid service.
Review 80:I was there for a World Cup Game and the location was excellent , the staff was friendly and the place was very clean .... The breakfast buffett was awesome and the best part was that it was included in the price !!!!
Review 81:Check in very slow and they didn't have the booking reservation (although there were no problems in getting the room and price booked) Note so nice neighborhood
Review 82:Breakfast was good Value for money (promotion price) 10min walking to the city park and shopping 5min away
Review 83:The rooms are no better than a budget hotel and not especially clean. I didn't feel I got value for money. The St Moritz for for example for the same price was far, far better and a much more relaxed, special place to stay. St Paul's felt more like a hotel for business travellers......
Review 84:The breakfast was OK
Review 85:No dresser drawers. Drinking glasses were not replaced or washed thoroughly as I had marked them to check. We were there 11 days and sheets were not replaced but one time as I marked them too. No wash cloths and when I told the desk man he told me they do not provide them and that I would have to buy my own somewhere , this upset me as I did not know my way around the area. No instructions on that sprayer beside the toilet. Shower floor very slippery for us "old people". Our daughter-in-law is from outside of Brasilia and we were not allowed to have her up to sit by the pool with us...but we still liked the hotel. It was hard to find somebody to speak English to us as my Porteguese is very limited.
Review 86:The Breakfasts. The staff in the dining room for breakfasts. Silence in the halls. Neatness of the room. Location pretty much.
Review 87:No privacy curtain, either you open the heavy curtain to let worldsee you or totally dark. Pillows are old and broken. You would beexpected a higher standard after paying over $150 us dollar for anight. Narrow table, small vanity make it less comfortable. Noarmchair to rest in the room.
Review 88:Location.
Review 89:no wi-fi in room, in reception area slow, which is poor for a business hotel; no tourist information;
Review 90:staff: some were friendly - others not; excellent breakfast; asked for a quiet room and got one
Review 91:Two elevators for a hotel of this size means endless waits or walking the stairs.
Review 92:Large modern hotel with good breakfast included and nice rooftop bar and pool.
Review 93:we have to ask twice to obtain the third necessary for the bathroom (it was a room for 3 and the towels and the wellcome products were missing in the room) a very bad system of elevator and we lost a lot of time we ask for a sushi restaurant at the desk and they give us the adress of a night club with a sushi part... that was really not what we're looking for !!!
Review 94:a perfect situation in the town, good beds a good breakfast
Review 95:Only one lift was working and we had to give ourselves 5-10 minutes to take it...
Review 96:The breakfast is good. The pool is small but the bar area around it is very nice.
Review 97:Only one towel first day. Wake up call didn't work. Hair in shower stall. Balcony door lock broken... not fixed after request. Room not made up one day. Noisy at night.
Review 98:Not much. Large volume hotel, good breakfast.
Review 99:The internet reception is terrible. It was terrible when I stayed there a year ago and they haven't fixed it and I will not stay there again because of this.
Review 100:The staff and the location were good but...
Review 101:The elevator was slow at time. The hotel wouldn't allow us to warm our foods inside, which I find was ridiculous. The hotel didn't provide toothbrushes and toothpastes; instead it was sold at the vending machine.
Review 102:Breakfast was amazing! A variety of items to choose from, it couldn't be better. The staff was really friendly as well, and the hotel rooms were clean.
Review 103:- Very low speed of internet. Sometimes unavailable. - Personnel do not speak english. - Noise in the room from the street due to poor insulation of windows.
Review 104:- Location. - Breakfast.
Review 105:There is nothing really bad about the hotel, but I think the prizeshould be lowered. In general, things are getting expensive in Braziland I start spending money in other places.
Review 106:I like the clean and big rooms. The location is very good, a shopping isclose by. I like that there are non-smoker rooms, that the mattress ishard and that the bed has no termination at the end so that I could fitwith my 2 m in the shorter individual bed.
Review 107:- the noise of elevators when staying near the roof top swimming pool... - the main window in my room was not noise proof and it did disturb my nights..
Review 108:- the hotel was clean - the breakfast was ok (especialy the coffee) - the staff was nice to me
Review 109:Room was not at all as booked. Staff were unable to help and wanted tocharge extra for second guest - which had been already paid for uponbooking. Terrible service.
Review 110:The hotel has recently been renovated. Good value for money.
Review 111:Ridiculous to charge for internet. We stayed in hostels let alone hotelswhere speedy internet was for free and did not cost r$17 for 24 hours! At night time, the area, although very safe is basically a red light district...
Review 112:No nonsense clean, good showers, spacious rooms and polite staff. Theylet us keep our baggage in hold and use the facilities even though wewere technically checked out. The location is perfect as it is very, very, central and all the main buildings are no more than 30 minutes ofwalking distance away.
Review 113:WIFI
Review 114:Really nice hotel for the money. WIFI was a little slow at times but otherwise the facility was really good
Review 115:Shower does not work well.
Review 116:Most staffs can speak English.
Review 117:R$ 500,00 for an electric shower? You gotta be kidding me.
Review 118:At night the neighborhood is dangerous.
Review 119:During the day the location is excellent, near the most interesting buildings and things to do in Brasilia
Review 120:Wifi patchy and can only have one device per room attached at a time.
Review 121:Great location, and nice large rooms.
Review 122:The wi-fi is free, but only at limited speed and for a limited time. The bed is too small.
Review 123:It is close to Patio Brasil shopping mall.
