Reviews for Windsong Resort

Review 1:They upgraded us to the penthouse which was amazing with roof deck and hot tub. The resort itself is lovely- great part of beach, great pool, food...gorgeous suites.

Review 2:Small matter. But we didn't like the DJ they had one night. Loud. And was not consistent with the clientele and nature of everything else about the property.

Review 3:Fabulous upscale boutique hotel. Terrific location on the beach. Great staff. Lovely oceanfront suite.

Review 4:food quality extremely low as well as restaurant staff and services at jojo restaurant. good place for families with small kids, extremely loud, not really relaxing

Review 5:great location

Review 6:The restaurant was not especially good We didn't feel like leaving the resort to go to other restaurants and dinner was strange being in the dark with no other diners

Review 7:Had to take a cab to most places but it was easy to arrange.

Review 8:Staff was awesome and the hotel was in very good shape. The reef is right offshore and the fish fry was a pretty easy walk on Thursday night.

Review 9:There were a few things needing repair in our unit. But they responded well to fix or correct.

Review 10:Staff was very friendly, helpful and responded immediately to any need. BEAUTIFUL beach front property.

Review 11:Absolutely nothing.

Review 12:Awesome facility, awesome staff, awesome everything. I would definitely go back to Turks & Caicos and stay at Windsong. It's expensive but worth every penny.

Review 13:- Extremely high prices of the "Jojos Cafe" (the only restaurant the hotel has), a Corona beer costs USD 7,5. When asked the manager of the hotel why is this, she said it was because they have high imports costs. When I asked why then the local beer was USD 7, she was unable to justify it. The 6 pack of Coronas on a local supermarket (for tourists) was USD 11 and its 10 minutes away from the hotel.- When talking with Annette the manager (by the way very polite) , she said that the hotel wants to offer the best to their guests, and with this she justified the charge of USD 7 for a bottle of water which brand is "Fiji" (on the room they charge USD 5). While I personally think they are again overpriced, there is no need to offer such an expensive water from the other side of the world. Being so close to USA they could perfectly offer other options which would be in the same level of quality and with a better price. We ended up buying Highlands water from Scotland at USD 2,5 a bigger bottle on the same supermarket we purchased the beer.- It seems the speech of "offering the best to our customers" doesn't applies when they offer complimentary stuff. In theory, they offer complimentary little bottles of water (1 per day) on the beach, of course this water you don't have to pay is not the "Fiji" brand, but a cheap one. We stayed 6 days, and we weren't offered not even once for this free water.- The hotel needs to pay a bit more attention to the guests, we ask several times for different things, but nobody ever came to the room. We asked for coffee, we asked for a fix to the two electricity plugs on the balcony which were not working and they came to fix it the last day but I need to watch a game so I asked the maintenance guy to come later, he never came back.

Review 14:We have chosen the Windsong resort because we wanted a very special week before our first baby arrives. We booked an Ocean Front room, and gosh, this was the best part of our trip. We stayed in room 133 in the third floor and we were really facing the sea. We were amazingly surprised with the room (which I must say was more an apartment rather than a hotel room). We had 2 bedrooms and 2 complete bathrooms, a full kitchen with a double door fridge, microwave, toaster, full oven, dishwasher and all the articles you would need to live the whole week.Every room including the living room had a flat tv, the one on the main bedroom a little old as it wasn't compatible with a chromecast, but the one on the living room was working fine.A nice touch was to see Bvlgari branded soaps and shampoos in both bathrooms. We had a few comments about the room to make it perfect, the hotel placed two docking stations one on the living room and one on the main bedroom, the only problem is that they are old, because they have an Apple 30 pin connector, so if you have an iPhone newer than an iPhone 4S you cannot take advantage of them, something that would have been very useful. The blinds on the bedroom could completely block the sun, this would help a lot if you are a light sleeper and light wakes you up.The hotel organises a taxi for USD 8 (both ways) which takes you to the supermarket (10 minutes away), we highly recommend you take advantage of this the first day you arrive, as you can buy a lot of things like beer, water and more for example to cook in your apartment or room. If you have an oceanfront room, believe me you will want to stay in the magical balcony for as much as possible. You won't want to go out for dinner too much, because you have already the best possible spot.We went out one night for dinner to a restaurant some blocks away and for 3 we spent around USD 200, without any alcohol.

Review 15:A bit disappointed by the late breakfast and rather casual service.

Review 16:Great location on Grace Bay close to the protected reef made snorkelling easy and convenient for a quick morning dip. Views are also great and the installations are very well maintained.

Review 17:small bathroom with a noise fan but very well light , ugly curtain for the shower air condition noisy, lamp near the bed hard to turn on -off .lack switches near the bed , no hook to hang bathrobe ,very poor continental breakfast ,wii doesn't work everywhere and anytime you have to put the password

Review 18:very nice complex on the beach very good parking ,nice staff, very relax place, room not too big but confortable for me. very quiet location

Review 19:Your company ovebilled me the prior stay at Villa Del Mar. I loved Windsong and Villa Del Mar. I'm very upset with your company billing me $200.00 a night when my friends from New Jersey stayed the same dates and paid $155.00

Review 20:our room was not ocean front, however very clean, the food was very expansive and frankly not good at all.. the free breakfast was very limited we had to buy our breakfast every morning, drinks very expensive as well. transportation (Taxi) are very expansive and not friendly at all, we end up taking rides from local drivers for fraction of the cost by walking out to the main road Very safe..

Review 21:The place was very clean, Quite and on a very nice beach with snorkeling reef access, the staff from the front desk, beach coordinator and the servers were supper nice including management.. we ate at couple of places out side the hotel that was excellent...

Review 22:Deceptive "happy hour" offers; no free drink coupon upon check-in; dining facilities were lacking.

Review 23:Beachfront room was excellent, spacious and comfortable and clean with a great shower!

Review 24:I wish there was some sort of entertainment at night.

Review 25:The windsong is a beautiful quaint resort right on the beach, the location is perfect, the staff are nice and accommodating.

Review 26:The location right on Bight Reef was great. We were able to snorkel everyday ...kids also loved the SUP, kayaks and paddle boat. Staff was very friendly- didn't have a bad experience with anyone. Enjoyed that it was a smaller resort; more individuied service and never crowded at the beach. We are a family of 5 with kids ages 15,12, and 10.

Review 27:The food menu was very limited, it will be nice to see more choices.

Review 28:The hotel was wonderful, service was excellent. And the beach is paradise and heaven together on earth.

Review 29:Need another restaurant or bar. Jo Jo's is nice, but no circulation Of air due to location. More fans?

Review 30:The staffs friendliness, the Beach service, the beach Toys!

Review 31:The suite was very large and well appointed with an amazing view of the ocean and stunning daily sunset views! Great friendly staff for beach sports and wonderful breakfasts.

Review 32:Everything was terrific, except we had the front desk book an excursion. We got on the one they told us to; however, the other one also came to pick us up. We requested they handle the refund several times. Still not resolved.

Review 33:Location is terrific! Beach service phenomenal.

Review 34:Expensive but everything on Grace Bay is expensive.

Review 35:Amazing coral reef steps away from the room. Saw barracuda, lobster, turtles, lionfish, starfish, sea urchins, octopus, parrotfish, grouper, snappers and many more.

Review 36:the only thing we didn't like was having to leave.

Review 37:we loved everything ..the room to the location to the warm and friendly staff. Food was excellent ...Best conch fritters and coconut shrimp we had on Provo! And JoJo rum punches on the beach....

Review 38:On the other hand, we were happy to have rented a car because Bight's Reef (out front) was limited. We found Smith's Reef to be much healthier! Also found the dining options and evening activities to be limited.

Review 39:Being on a less crowded part of Grace Bay, away from the larger resorts made for a very relaxing week.

Review 40:Turks and Caicos are very expensive -- excessive government tax and service charge. Have to decide whether worth the price for beautiful scenery and weather. For wife and I, they were.

Review 41:Very helpful, friendly staff. Studio was large enough for our needs. Location and water gear were very good.

Review 42:The shower head should be replaced, it was a bit worn out.

Review 43:The room is huge and nicely put together. When I booked the room I didn't realize the unit was so big (1600 sqft). It is a one bedroom apartment condo than a hotel room! Our bed was so comfy with Frette sheets. Nice roomy shower with Frette robes and towels too! All toiletries are from Bvlgari, a nice touch. LOVE it overall!! Definitely 2 thumbs up! We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Turks.

Review 44:Food needs some help.

Review 45:Beach staff is great. Jerry and Jeff. Fantastic rooms and view.

Review 46:The breakfast was not much for the money we spent !!!

Review 47:Everything was amazing

Review 48:We got Madrid and everything was awesome. We fully recommend it.

Review 49:great location, close to snorkelling, friendly staff,

Review 50:Stayed one night only :(

Review 51:Beautiful spot on the Reef, staff was great overall beautiful resort and food was excellent!

Review 52:the continental breakfast was pretty boring.

Review 53:the proximity to the beach

Review 54:None

Review 55:We rarely left the hotel except to walk on the beach. You can walk to other restaurants for variety or stay at the hotel.

Review 56:Beautiful views, wonderful beach, and friendly and helpful staff. A perfect vacation for sure!

Review 57:The beach is very narrow and the pool area is not that nice

Review 58:I didn't like the fact that the staff was very inexperienced and did not seem very trained. They made some mistakes with my reservations and were not able to charge the room charges for me in cash, cancelling the charge in my credit card.

Review 59:The beach service was awesome and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 60:They need to work on the Havana Club to make it more of a draw. ThePinot Noir at the club is horrible. They could have more watersportsavailable and maybe things set up for the children to do - moreactivities. The hotel could use a 2nd restaurant.

Review 61:The Windsong was very quiet which we loved and the staff was amazing.
