Review 1：Completely disappointed with this hotel. No manager on site when you ask for one. Don't offer something that you can't provide. Don't promise something you can't follow through. I stayed on your hotel for Christmas, the room was not fully clean. The decor was modern and nice, however you could see the dust lint attach to the cable lines holding the lamps. Hair residue in the shower from previous guest. On top of that, breakfast was offer until 10:30 am , how ever there was no much left by 9:30 on my first day. And christmas day when everything is close outside, breakfast was not served, no even coffee. I went to the front desk to ask, to find out they didn't have enough staff to prepare and serve the breakfast. The lady at front desk offer to call the room to let us know when they would have it ready. She never called. Even so, when she said they were extending the breakfast until 11am. Well, we stayed in the room until check out time and no call. We were starving, and we knew finding a restaurant open on Christmas would be not an option. We check out, as we asked for a manager, to address the situation, but no one was on site (how convenient). There was other people in the same situation. Everyone was not happy. And the lady at the desk could not offer any solutions.

Review 4：I always look forward to sleeping on their beds. Very comfortable. And the rooms are really clean. Staff are exceptionally kind. I always stay there every time I visit San Diego. Looking forward to my next visit.

Review 5：The first boutique hotel ever with carpet on the floor. Being asthmatic, carpet means too much detergent in the air. The breakfast room was small.

Review 23：What I didn't like is out the control of hotel Hercor. The view from the hotel is not a pretty one. You have rundown housing on one side and a busy street on the other, plus the rooms are a little on the small side.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional.Location of the hotel was nice, ten minutes from downtown San Diego, ten minutes from great outletmalls, and within walking distance to another mall; restaurants, and theatres. The hotel room was clean and modern. The shower is excellent and property is well taken care of.

Review 25：The area was kind of not the greatest. The apartments behind us were pretty ghetto. Wish it would have had a pool or Jacuzzi at least.

The lamps were very weak and dim. Even when all lights were turned on the room was dark. Especially annoying it was in bathroom.

Review 28：The location was a big advantage. It was right next to Chula Vista center with plenty os stores and cafes. And it never took me more than 25 minutes to drive from the hotel to the Coronado beach, or San Diego downtown, or any other interesting place. Breakfast was more than enough.

Review 31：Hotel rooms are really small and the bed was worst I have ever had in the hotels, you cannot turn a side without waking up, because it makes loud noise. I do not know what of are made the walls and floors, but I heard all the steps from upper floor, TV sounds from right side and children crying on the left side. I could not sleep in there, it was crazy. And for the first time I saw that hotel has ear slings in the room..... come on I cannot sleep with ear slings!! Bathroom fan makes also noise and you cannot switch it off, also it sucked in the cigarette smoke somewhere, probably neighbours were smoking outside or in the bathroom!?

There is room for only 15 people I think. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Hercor is just 15 minutes away from San Diego’s city center. A fridge in the rooms can be very useful however there is no room for a fridge in the rooms.

Review 49：The room was too small. You could hear other people through the walls. The breakfast room was tiny with very little seating room. The food at the breakfast buffet was also messy all the time. It was kind of disgusting, and the funky smell in there did not help either. Also, we paid the first night for both of our rooms before going. That night, the front desk man with a ponytail, charged us for all of our nights, plus a $200 deposit. Our stay should have come to a total of 1,200, including the deposit. He attempted to put $1,600 on our card. Our small town bank has a daily limit, and we had to dig up some cash to come up with the cost to cover our rooms. EMBARASSING. When I tried to explain to him what he was doing wrong, he ignored me. Talk about upsetting. Horrible experience, especially so far away from home. NEVER going back. NEVER recommending.

Everyone was friendly, rooms were always clean, the continental breakfast has so many offerings. It's in an area with many places that you can walk to, whether to eat or catch the Tram. Will definitely go back when I'm in town.

I don't understand why they spent so much effort remodeling the decor, but neglected sound proofing.

Review 127：The room looked exactly like it did in the pictures. The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was one of the better ones I ever had. They offered ham, turket meat, bacon, eggs, cereal, bread and oj. It's right across from Tacos El Gordo. I would definitely stay here again!
