Reviews for Veneza Hotel
Review 1:Whilst breakfast acceptable they could improve cereal selection and scrambled egg was always cold (need to keep it warm).
Review 2:Clean, modern, quiet hotel in excellent location.
Review 3:- Poor Wi-Fi. - Tasteless coffee during breakfast - for a country with really good coffee, it is strange that it was so awful. - Products during breakfast were not added regularly, so we couldn't taste everything what we wanted, because they were over.
Review 4:- Really good location, near train station. - Spacious and clean room.
Review 5:Beds could have been a little more comfortable but truly, no real complaints.
Review 6:Staff was friendly, knowledgable and attentive. Beautiful location. Neat and clean rooms. Wonderful view from balcony. Breakfast was delicious and ample. Wonderful experience. Arrived in mid October so very few guests and lots of fall colors; memorable.
Review 7:The staff at the reception wasn't very friendly or helpful with information. A little walk into town, not much around in regards of restaurants. But close to the train station.
Review 8:Very nice big room. Didn't try the breakfast but smelled delicious.
Review 9:We arrived late night and initially the location looked dark.. When we entered the hotel it was totally different. Warm, cosy and friendly. Great place, great staff. Definitely great value for the money. One point - we used the waze app and it brought us to the main street where we had to look for the signs.
Review 10:The decoration of the room, the Free Wifi (which is very limited and no one told us), and the cleanliness which was very approximate.
Review 11:the parking, the nice building, and the location.
Review 12:bar / lounge areas pretty much token. a good quarter hour walk for me to start of centre at hotel palace. (buses do work the route). short walk to rail station, but no noise.
Review 13:staff all friendly and helpful. very clean. allocated a lrger room. cheap secure parking under or adjacent to the hotel.
Review 14:For the first night we were given a moist, smelly room with only 1 small window. After extensive complaining we got a better room although still not great. The hotel feels a bit outdated and beds are of medium quality.
Review 15:The location is within walking distance of the city centre. Rooms are well sized, although not large.
Review 16:We requested a double and ended up with two singles. Also, the breakfast was terrible and neither of us was able to drink the coffee or the juice.
Review 17:The hotel was rather well located, clean and the staff was helpful - though not particularly welcoming.
Review 18:Wifi was either limited or other rooms used your entitlement because the pass word for all was room number followed by room number twice, so you could use others.
Review 19:Loads of character which we want, we dislike modern. Walking distance to town. Relaxed breakfast setting with coffee outside.
Review 20:The food that was supposed to be hot was cold every morning. Cleaning staff and dining room staff were helpful and friendly but reception staff were surly and unfriendly.
Review 21:Clean well maintained hotel
Review 22:This was our second visit and was as enjoyable as the first. We love the comfort, the facilities and the welcoming, friendly staff. Excellent all round.
Review 23:Helpful friendly staff, comfortable room and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the centre. Good car parking space. Even had hens in next doors garden to wake us in the morning.
Review 24:I travell alot between Lisboa and Aveiro and my first choice of hotel is always Veneza Hotell. The staff is professional and provides an exelent service + the rooms....they LOVELY♡♡
Review 25:Only problem was only one device could connect to WiFi at a time--as we were working while traveling, this just took some logistics (although we didn't ask the front desk about it, so perhaps it would have been easy to fix)
Review 26:Just a nice, clean, easy, elegant hotel with a cool outdoor area to relax in. Comfy beds and close enough to the canal.
Review 27:Beautiful patio area when you can have breakfast. Bathroom well appointed. Easy to use parking options either in the basement or the outdoor private parking.
Review 28:Nothing.
Review 29:Everything. Staff very helpful, facilities good, very comfortable, large room, everything needed in the room and bathroom for a good stay. Secure onsite car parking - good location within walking distance of the main area..
Review 30:I dint´t like the fact that on the Booking Page the informations given is that the Visa card is only to reserve the room. And that the payment is in the Hotel can be with other Visa card or Master Card etc. This did not happen. The hotel charge me on the same Visa, I was unable to pay with other card or cash as was written on the Booking and hotel page.
Review 31:There is sever or water pump somewhere which works somehow noisy - not only when you use washstand or toilet but also when they are in use in other rooms. The room almost has no wall outlets: there are 2 of them, one is in room and other is in bathroom. The breakfast is kind of economy one and consist of bacon or sausages, omelette and beans plus some side snacks. Juices and coffee have awful taste.
Review 32:The hotel is located in separate house with small garden with fountain. Halls and rooms are decorated very good and look rich. WiFi works fine. The bed is large and it is double bed, not 2 beds put together. The bathroom has bidet and bathtube.
Review 33:Everything was fine!
Review 34:Lovely old building in traditional Portuguese style. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable. We didn't take breakfast this time, but in summer it would be possible to enjoy it in the pleasant garden.
Review 35:We absolutely fell in love with this place. Andre is very nice and bohnomous host. We had a taxi to the airport at 3 am and he left fresh bread, cake, milk and juice for us. The place is very clean and cosy. Definitely worth its price!
Review 36:The hotel is a 10' walk from the town center, but this is not much of a problem.
Review 37:The hotel is very conveniently situated within a 5 minute walk from the train station. The area is quiet, I heard no noise from my room. The decoration was pleasant, the bed comfortable, the bathroom modern and well maintained, the room very clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and effective. Once, I couldn't catch the wireless anymore, and the staff present immediately restarted it and solved the problem.
Review 38:It was a 10 to 15 minute walk to restaurants so if you don't want to walk at the end of the day an inexpensive taxi ride was necessary.
Review 39:The hotel was beautiful and the room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent,
Review 40:Aveiro - not a pretty town
Review 41:The restaurants in the old town Quiet room and comfortable bed Proximity to Costa Nova - a really pretty town where we should have stayed.
Review 42:The whole design of building and interiors are very stylish. Very nice staff. We arrived around 10am at the hotel and they still gave us the room earlier than checkin. The breakfast is good. Hotel is close to the train station but 15min walk to bus station. if you arrive and depart Aveiro with bus, here is kinda far away.
Review 43:Awfull coffee and artificial juice for breakfast. Limited food choice for breakfast. Only one socket in the room.
Review 44:Spacious cleen room and a big bathroom. Fridge in the room. Reasonable price. Good hotel garage. Quite good breakfast. Very close to the railway station, walking distance from the city attractions.
Review 45:A little too far to walk to the real centre of town.
Review 46:The receptionist was friendly and efficient. Our room and bathroom were beautifully appointed and clean. The breakfast was excellent.
Review 47:the problems with WiFi from time to time (but after restart of router by staff ok), room's safe blocked and the staff can't open
Review 48:nice room, free parking in front of the hotel, good breakfast, not so far to the center of the city, silence
Review 49:We were in main floor (room 003) A/C not working properly, just smelly fan air coming out, when complaining to receptionist Ana Rosa, I was told that a/c was working (even though temp. in room was 27 after being on for 7hrs.)was also told to open the window-(I had my grandchild with me, was in ground floor, not very safe!) Ms. Ana Rosa also told me that the a/c was old could not reach the temp, I expected of 17 degree, I never asked for 17degrees, but it would be nice to have 20 and not 27 with bad fan air, If I did not want A/C I would have rented a Hostel and not a hotel. I think that Ms Ana Rosa was very professionally RUDE, no actions done. I travel a lot, this was the worse of experiences, Ms. Ana Rosa made me and my family feel very humiliated.
Review 50:cleanliness
Review 51:Water from the bathtub comes out yellow, provoking allergies. Noisy rooms. You pay 5€ for underground parking & 3.5€ for outside parking. Breakfast not included, you have to pay 8€ for each person. A stay of 70€ quickly upgrades to 100€ for basic needs. Hotel looks nice, but fails on basic free commodities that other Hotels have. Again, beware of the water (river water?). Backside of the Hotel has a terrible view (abandoned house/buildings).
Review 52:Clean room with good space.
Review 53:While the hotel's location near Aveiro's train station was perfect for us, one should note that the hotel is not directly located in the center (10-15 minutes walk).
Review 54:In general, the hotel was amazing. Very large and perfectly clean room, luxurious bathroom, outstanding historic building with pleasant yard/garden. Everything newly renovated. One of the best 3* hotels I have ever stayed at (easily with a standard of 4*-5*).
Review 55:Our room was not good since it was located at the ground floor and behind a wall. Then,we requested a senior staff to change our room. The staff tried to find a better room for us and finally she kindly changed our room. Breakfast is nice and locate near the station.
Review 56:bed was uncomfortable reception did not have a map construction noises early in the morning no wi-fi in the room a bit far to the city centre

Review 73:A very comfortable room and quiet. Options for parking were welcome because of the lack of free parking around the town/hotel.
Review 74:Breakfast choice was ok but the hot breakfast was very cold.
Review 75:Hotel room was fabulous. We had three proper comfortable beds not a sofa bed.
