Reviews for Hotel Tartini

Review 1:Three stars?? Spend the extra $30 and get a room at Hotel Piran. Rooms are very worn and dated. Very loud in the morning, can hear all neighbors in the bathroom. The location and view is about all it has going for it.

Review 2:Great Location. Good breakfast minus the coffee.

Review 3:The special designer furniture in the square-side rooms may bring a certain cachet to the hotel but it is completely unpractical, particularly if you are staying a week. It takes up an enormous amount of room space and offers little space for guests' belongings! However, we were told that there is talk of redecorating the hotel and changing the furniture.

Review 4:The view over the Italianate square and town is stunning which is why we decided to return to the centrally-located Tartini on our second visit to Slovenia. The staff is welcoming and very helpful, particularly on the reception desk, The breakfast is excellent although you sometimes have to ask for items when there is a surge of people milling around the service tables.

Review 5:Tricky parking - but then that's always the trade off to be in an old town square. Not their issue at all.

Review 6:Location - great spot right on the old town square.

Review 7:Small room for three beds, very crowded with furniture, dark entry foyer to hotel

Review 8:Location, ability to accommodate our desire for three beds in one room

Review 9:No public computer available; the balcony shutters could not be interlocked because they had been warped.

Review 10:Great view from the balcony, location amidst the city center.

Review 11:The internet connection was not that great. We had to stand by the door in order to get a signal. Maybe it's different for other rooms.

Review 12:The hotel is in a nice location, away from the more crowded beach area but still in short walking distance (and still with great views of the sea). It was quiet and laid back, as opposed to the touristy "Club Med" vibe of Hotel Piran. Good breakfast with lots of options. This is not a new, modern hotel, but everything is in good condition and very clean. Great value for money.

Review 13:The rooms (at least ours) were very small, but one doesn't go to Piran to spend much time in the hotel room.

Review 14:The hotel was very conveniently located.

Review 15:The beds were a bit hard for my liking.

Review 16:The hotel is in a great location. Our bedroom overlooked the square. There was a music festival in the square every night during our stay, but the double glazing was very effective at keeping the noise out if we needed to sleep.

Review 17:Room was overlooking the main square and it was extremely noisy. Furnishing old fashioned. Some stains on the walls. Glass splinter on the carpet. Air-conditioning did not work.

Review 18:Breakfast was OK.

Review 19:Great hotel at best Piran location with professional, motivated and empowered staff running as a team a well maintained hotel with good practical facilities and spacious clean comfortably rooms.

Review 20:no parking. entering with the car is limited to 1 hour max.

Review 21:The location is the best in Piran, very central - at the main squer of the historical city. restaurants, cafes, the beach, the marina and all historical sites, the night life, everything is near the hotel. The room was very nice and clean, with good a/c. very good breakfast. friendly staff - especially David from the reception - a unique person

Review 22:Just be warned that you need to park in the 'Garage' outside of Piran - which is a little way out of the centre. There is a free shuttle bus. Parking is reduced from 17 Euros to 7.50 for hotel guests so make sure you take that extra charge into account. We were also charged a tourist tax (only a couple of euros for 2 of us - but still an extra charge).

Review 23:The hotel is in a fantastic spot - our room had an excellent view of the sea and harbour. The waiter on the roof top bar was amazing and gave us lots of tips about where to visit in Slovenia.

Review 24:My room my modest in size, and though I was alone in a double, the space was tight and awkward due to the odd placement of too many items of furniture. The elevator only landed a half floor above or below my level - a small but constant irritant.

Review 25:Beautiful breakfast space, with lots of daylight for a change, and cheerful staff. A very convenient location - maybe the best in Piran for accessibility.

Review 26:really poor quality wifi :-( room/bed a bit in need of refurbishing.

Review 27:location is awesome, downtown piran. good for a short visit/stay. lots of restaurants, cafes, gelaterias and even beaches nearby. had a room with a nice view on the 5th floor. very good A/C, especially considering OAT at 35C°!

Review 28:Wifi signal is quite weak in my room and only area near the door can sense the wifi

Review 29:the staff are all very nice. One of them was so energetic that he greeted us cheerfully with a high5 Very close to the centre just down the hotel! Nice view!

Alles reibungslos funktioniert! (Parken, Frühstück, Check-in, Check-out) Ein Traum von einem Hotel!

Review 32:We missed having a hot water pot in the room, but understand this isn't standard at this level. Appreciated the small refrigerator.

Review 33:We were given a spacious "suite" with huge balcony. More than we had requested, and much appreciated. Staff were all wonderful. It's not four-star luxury, but definitely better than most 3-star hotels.

Review 34:Staff not listening to guest when come to advice on restaurants and just book at one expensive place irrespective of your preferences

Review 35:Location, location, location....

Review 36:No restaurant and no bar at the time of year we were there! Is this a Booking.com problem? It's not the first time we have had it. Many hotels do not have restaurant/bar facilities at certain times, so perhaps it is advisable to check directly with the hotels.

Review 37:We were very happy with its easy access to all points of interest. Parking is not as difficult as it may sound. The shuttle bus works very well.

Review 38:The hotel could do some little jobs on the windows being destroyed by strong winds. It could do with a bit of modernisation. TV really doesnt work properly. The signal is so poor. Not to mention the quality of the screen. Wifi is not free which is a pitty.

Review 39:We love this location, its ideal. The breakfast room in the summer is beautiful where as in winter they are very restricted by the style and resources of the building. The cleaning ladies could try at least to make beds properly. They are keen on doing their job quickly. But that could do something with the low season as we had a good experience in the summer. We love the breakfast. There is enough breakfast and they make great eggs. Could do some fresh orange juice even if its for extra payment.

Review 40:The bathroom had a waft of urine, but otherwise the room was reasonablyclean. Parking, however, was a nightmare. The hotel doesn't have itsown carpark, so we had to park in the public carpark about a kilometreaway. Unfortunately, the male receptionist was not helpful at all ingiving directions on where this public carpark was, and neither did heexplain clearly what needed to be done in order to avoid the overnightcarpark charge of over 20 euros. We had a nightmare getting our car outand ended up paying extra unnecessarily. We recommend that if you have acar, look for a hotel that has its own carpark!

Review 41:Excellent location. Good breakfast

Review 42:The confusion with the parking ended up costing us time and money.

Review 43:The setting for the Hotel Tartini is the most pleasurable. We had a view of the city center and all that activity. We would have loved to have had a view of the ocean but I think that we were trying to be prudent in our expenses. For the money we were very pleased especially.

Review 44:The room definitely needs updating. There were too much unnecessary furniture which cluttered the room up and made it look small and hard to walk about. I could only find one socket in my room so I had to charge my phone, camera, laptop one at a time. I could not even leave something charging whilst I went to breakfast as the door would hit the plug. There wasnt much of a view from my room, there was no balcony. The wifi was not very good, most of the time it said it was not in range.

Review 45:The location of this hotel is excellent, right in the centre. I was in Room 214, it was clean but I did find a sock from the previous occupant. The breakfast was good but the coffee could have been hotter. There is an outdoor bar area on the first floor that overlooks the square.

Review 46:When there are evening concerts, it can be quite hard to sleep in the rooms overlooking the main square.

Review 47:Lovely hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast. The location is great for those who want to feel the spirit of the town and night life.

Review 48:a very high price for a 3-star hotel; the wi fi kept disappearing and there was a need to log in again and again with a password

Review 49:A very comfortable room with a lovely view, nice and modern interior decoration, spacious bathroom, great location right by Tartini Square, varied and tasty breakfast menu, friendly and helpful personnel

Review 50:The wifi is excellent in the reception, but very sporadic in bedroom. My husband's wish .. The ability to make toast at breakfast.

Review 51:You couldn't wish for a better location. Lovely staff, great terrace bar with beautiful view, really nice rooms.

Review 52:Wifi was patchy (we couldn't get it in our room) and needed complicated credentials to log in each time you wanted to access it. Hotel seemed understaffed at times eg one woman covering breakfast (replenishing food, cleaning tables, seating people) in the restaurant at the busiest time of the year.

Review 53:Excellent location on the main square with great sea views from the balcony. Friendly and quite helpful staff.

Review 54:Expensive for what it was. My husband thought the tv was too small and the aircon wasn't efficient enough.

Review 55:Clean, friendly staff. Balcony overlooking the bay was romantic.

Review 56:One person on front desk was very unfriendly. Disappointing that the porch overlooking the square was not opened for drinks, etc when we visited.

Review 57:Loved their location and breakfast. Most front desk personnel were helpful and friendly. Accommodations were very nice.

Review 58:While we were there there was no one to serve drinks on the roof terrace so we had to make our own way down to the bar on the ground floor.

Review 59:Geat location on the mail square. Roof terrace with lovely views over the town and harbour.

Review 60:No Safe in the room. Car park well away from the hotel (must admit it's unavoidable though).

Review 61:Great location. Nice breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.

Review 62:The balcony was facing the alley and buildings behind the hotel. Parking is outside of the city so is a bit inconvenient. The breakfast was not as good as other hotels in Croatia and Slovenia that we stayed in.

Review 63:The location was very good right on the main square and near the marina. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

The Fine Print

There is a free mini bus/shuttle commuting between the parking and the hotel (Tartini Square) regularly.
