Reviews for Little Mermaid Dive Resort

Review 1:Refrigerator didn't work. Rooms are very basic. Mattresses were more like just a lump of foam. Breakfast was a bit small - one egg and some rice, with juice and tea/coffee.

Review 2:This is a dive resort. It's basic, but really you wouldn't stay here unless you were diving. In fact, don't visit Malapascua unless you're diving - there's nothing else to do. The bar area was good. Dive school was very good. Manager was friendly and helpful.

Review 3:friendly staff, excellent dive instructors+crew, and efficient manager. great location to explore the village and restaurant ( the famous La Isla Bonita is behind the Resort :D) quiet, comfy and relaxing even it's high season Guyabana Shake is a must-try!

Review 4:Poor management. Not arrange ontime pick up from Cebu though this was confirmed with date/time and price. We tried to contact the manager but cannot access via phone and internet.

Review 5:convenient location, dive shop, restaurant

Review 6:1) Lying about the conditions. Booking says they do have internet signal in the whole area of the hotel. They are lying, signal is only available in the restaurant. Not in the bedrooms area2) BAD SERVICE. We hired for 3000php diving with the sharks. I got sick in the boat because of hypothermia so i could not dive. And they made me pay all the amount. Instead of charging me just the expenses of the boat and the instructor 4) When I was in the boat under pretty bad sick feelings the instructor told me "Come on, you have to to dive as you anyway have to pay for it" Bad joke for this moment. 3) TOO EXPENSIVE FOR NOT INDLUDING SOAP IN THE TOILET AND THERE IS NO SWIMMING POOL 4) One of the group (we were 4) had the ear in bad conditions because of previous dives. The owner of the hotel told him that still was ok. However we asked in the other diving school and they told him that he should not dive. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH OF THE CUSTOMER. THAT IS ILLEGAL For similar prices you have better good looking hotels with better service: BLUE CORAL BEACH RESORT SLAM´S GARDEN RESORT (No internet but at least they are honest) MALAPASCUA GARDEN RESORT MOONLIGHT RESORT

Review 7:i hope they may have tv even for standard room, and the window was not safe,

Review 8:i like the place because its quite and clean, and the owner was so approachable

Review 9:The resort does not exactly has ocean view nor is it on the beach front. They have a roughly 100ft walkway between 2 other establishment to get to the beach. WiFi is only accessible in the bar/dinning area. Restaurant/Bar staffs need more customer service training, as in attentiveness to dinners. The tap water was a little salty due to the size of the island and coming from the well, but that is of no fault of the resort.

Review 10:Real air conditioner to match the size of the room which is rare in the Philippines. Great and spacious rooms. The dive shop operation was top notch even though their boats were down from mechanical issues. They even pair me and the dive guide up with another boat so I can go see the famous thrasher sharks. They also send a boat out for the day even though I am the only diver on that day. I have over 400 dives under my belt and this kind of service is hard to come by especially when they have the lowest per dive price in town. All the rooms have been recently remodeled hence the nice air conditioner, new windows, new doors, and all the previous negative comments regarding the rooms have been rectified. All thanks to the super typhoon.

Review 11:Too many boats parked on the beach along with broken glass in the sand was disappointing. The A/C was very loud, the toilet wouldn't flush and a stray dog relieved itself on my sandals while they sat outside my door.

Review 12:The water is beautiful and the food was pretty good.

Review 13:Upon arrival we were told there was a 5% surcharge on the room rate forcc payments. I made the booking with the cc and received an emailsaying the room had been paid for already. Malapascua does not have atmso you have to travel with the estimated amount of cash you will spend.Having been there 20 times in the last 4 years I have a rough idea ofhow much I need and that did not include 5% on 2 (overpriced) rooms for3 nights! The sole money changer on the island offers bad rates so...All in all, this little surcharge disrupted the enjoyment quite a bit.*** neither of the 2 rooms was ever cleaned or towels/sheetschanged or beds made during our entire stay. Window frame was brokenbefore our arrival forcing us to wait until they fixed it before wecould leave the room. There is no aircon, no tv, and no toiletries ofany kind (no bar soap or shampoo) - received ragged towels that I woulduse to clean floors at my home for our bathrooms. All in all - theyolanda typhoon excuses don't cut it. I will never stay at thishotel ever again nor will I recommend it to anyone. I booked here causemy favorite place was sold out.

Review 14:Located in the middle of bounty beach, the hotel is equidistant to thevillage and the rest of bounty beach. It's right on the beach aswell, though rooms don't have beach views.

Review 15:Owner, sister, involved with the restaurant.

Review 16:Manfred,& Arlene, Hard working guys on the dive boat

Review 17:-dirty beach -too many boats parking there -tv does not work

Review 18:Nothing was good, except for we kindly get headache tablets per day.

Review 19:The room was insect ridden and the toilet leaks over the floor. Enough said

Review 20:Most of the meals were good

Review 21:excellent staff
