Review 1：Booked a room with queen bed, i have been offered only a twin room with no posibility of changing without been announced before. Only 2 functional plugs in the room already occupied by tv and minibar. I had to un-plug everytime i wanted to charge my phone. Bathroom old and not renovated.

Review 3：The pool chlorine smell was bad. We couldn't stay at the pool with our little girl more than 10 minutes.

Review 13：We booked 4 stars hotel just to find out on the site that the hotel has 2 buildings, one in front 4 stars an one connected in the back rated 3 stars. We've got our 3 rooms on the 3 stars building with no air conditioning when it was 31 deg C outside and 28 deg C inside. Our attempt to change the rooms was unsuccesful with the answer that we've booked at a lower rate via booking.com despite the fact that our voucher was clearily showing 4 stars hotel. If you want a pleasant stay in Poiana Brasov stay away from this hotel. Probably are beter hotels nearby.

Review 15：We went to the Escalade for a long weekend. We were looking for a nice place with pool, SPA, inside and outside playground and nice rooms. And we found it. The room was nice, with a lovely view, at the second floor. The pool was nice too, the water temperature ok and the depth from 1,25-1,45m, so perfect for people who can't swim, like me. There were also 2 small pools on the sides and the kids were enjoying them. I loved the fact that they have an inside playground between the restaurant and the bar, in a different room. So, while you were waiting for the food or relaxing at a coffee, you could look at your kid playing in that room. Fantastic. And they also have an outside playground and because the weather was amazing we ate outside and our boy was playing with other kids next to us. Excellent! The food was good (we recommend the beef with blue cheese and fig sauce - truly good) but they also have other very good dishes. The waiters were a little bored or maybe overwhelmed, anyway they weren't enjoying too much their job. The breakfast was good, nice food selection. A big plus for the housekeeping, they saw our baby's cot in the room and they left for us some small bags for the pampers. Whitout us asking! That was very.very nice. Overall we had a very nice stay and for sure we'll be back.

Review 23：Everything was nearly perfect and upon checking out, when I was asked how my stay was by the staff on duty, I told them it was nearly perfect with one minor exception. Once they heard that the manager was immediatelly involved and rectified the situation immediatelly I haven't seen such service since I left the US. Kudos to the Escalade staff and their manager. I will definatelly stay there again.

Review 27：Carpet in the room looked dirty and the room was either for smokers or people smoked in it; the hotel was actually filled with smokers. The morning air was fresh for 5 minutes before the room got filled with smoke from underneath. The hotel could not accept a Visa card from USA because it does not have the pin and I had to pay in local currency

Review 35：We decided to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant...this was not a wise decision. The food is really bad...I ordered duck breast in orange sauce with vegetables. The duck breast was stale, dry and hard, there was no orange sauce, only some slices of oranges, and the vegetables were not fresh (they used frozen vegetables from the supermarket).

Review 89：This was the second time we booked a room with this hotel but the experience was totally different: the booking mentioned that the room had a mountain view, but in fact the view was right onto a roof; the bathroom had moldy walls, and they were damaged from repeated water infiltrations; the carpet was dirty; poor TV reception; the sheets had hairs on them. Overall very poorly looking executive rooms, far from their booking description and in need of urgent refurbishment.

Review 97：The staff seemed a bit disoriented on our arrival but otherwise very helpful and friendly during our entire stay. There are several smoking areas but the doors are always open so there's smoke all through the ground floor, sometimes even at the indoor kids playground. The glass elevator is really cold, avoid it if your coming from the pool! WiFi was only available in reception, restaurant and bar area.

Review 98：Nicely located at a walking distance from the ski gondola lift and cable car. Good value for the money (rooms were ok and clean, breakfast was decent, the swimming pool and playgrounds are really nice for kids). The restaurant food was good.

Review 99：We went there for ski, and we've chosen that location because is very close to the ski slopes and ski ticket center. We've arrived there earlier then expected and even though it wasn't yet the time for checkin the staff was nice in order to provide us with a room to change for the ski.

Review 107：Not really a minus, but compared to the top restaurants, Escalade's menu was really lacking, albeit the prices were great. The restaurant and bar would also close at 10pm - a bit too early if you don't have to put a baby in the bed too. Our room was facing the stadium, which got to be noisy in the late mornings - nothing a closed window wouldn't have fixed.

Review 108：Pretty much everything (note - we stayed in a 4stars room, within the new building). Great value for the money we've paid (from what I understood though, that was a discounted price, thanks booking.com!), good breakfast (quality products plus wide serving hours), nice indoor pool (and with the unpredictable weather Poiana Brasov offers, that's a great plus too) working over 12hours a day, great location with good access, large parking area and fair interior design, with an above-the-average LCD screen. Good free Wi-Fi connection as well, as they had multiple access points all over the floors. Even though we didnt need them just yet, we noticed they had both indoor and outdoor playgrounds for little kids, and every one of the kids seem to have enjoyed it :)
