Reviews for Hotel Moliceiro
Review 1:Reception staff at check in! Cleaniness of room.
Review 2:Disappointment! Staff sgressive & unpolite. Website promises so much room. We came a group of friends and had booked separate beds in double room... Room not really facilitating this! Girl at reception very hostile and not helpful!
Review 3:Nice hotel right in the centre of Aveiro. We had a reasonably sized room on the third floor with two good beds and a modern bath room. We chose a room towards the back of the hotel (not the canal view) due to the quietness allowing sleeping with open windows. Breakfast very good with everything you want, including some local specialities. WiFi very fast. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 4:Did not like the deliberate darkness in the corridors on the floors. I understand there are some style and concept considerations, and I appreciate the artistic attention to details and the art show cased in the public areas, but really, as a guest I was very uncomfortable every time I emerged from and into the elevator. Too dark and inconvenient! Also the room with a "canal view" was a bit misleading - the canal is there, but you could not see it from the room windows....maybe on higher floors, or not at all....
Review 5:Location was excellent, breakfast good. very clean and lots of art. the internet worked fine and finally reception were friendly and helpful.
Review 6:The hotel overlooks a little park and one of the main canals. The décor is attractive, and varies; a warm, antique air in the reception and bar areas; chic modern design on the landing. My room was rather brown themed (not my favourite colour but that’s my fault) with a rather odd picture. The hotel has no restaurant but this is hardly a problem as there are many within a few minutes’ walk. There’s a welcome glass of port which I had in the evening accompanied by some local sweets, and a good breakfast. The service is pleasant and helpful.
Review 7:Parking not available at the hotel, the nearest 'free' parking is about 1/3 mile away, but an easy walk. Nearby paid parking is time-sensitive to 2 hours per ticket.
Review 8:Location is perfect. Hotel quite comfortable and modern. WiFi excellent. Breakfast great. Good price for performance.
Review 9:Unfortunately the are no other facilities except B&B. Very pleasant lounge and bar area but underutilised.
Review 10:Very well appointed, tastefully decorated: contemporary-stylish; fantastic location; good service especially regarding the challenging parking situation; very helpful staff
Review 11:Hotel information folder should be on the dresser surface, rather than hidden in a drawer. Folder would have information on room's AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL located above the refrigerator unit. However, the A/C worked quite well! Very pleased.
Review 12:My request for extra pillows was handled perfectly! Staff speaks English and is quite responsive. Very quiet room. Excellent Air Conditioning. Great location. An ideal choice for a most comfortable stay.
Review 13:Parking was limited to about five or six spaces outside hotel so not guaranteed. Worked out in the end.
Review 14:Total package very good indeed. Breakfast was by far the best even compared with another so called 4 star hotel we stayed in during our visit to Portugal. Also upgraded our room which was very welcome
Review 15:The lack of restaurant facilities, other than the breakfast which was excellent, the bar which only amounted to a waiter who appeared on demand and the absence of any social enviroment during evening hours.agreat hotel
Review 16:The general atmosphere of the hotel, the cleanliness, the staff manner and our room.
Review 17:Very inefficient check-in, had to wait almost an hour, because the credit card device caused trouble with people checking out. The bar down in the lobby is not very well equipped. They had to find out which beers they have and finally found only to industrial portuguese ones.
Review 18:Got an upgrade to the stylish rooms. Looks great but not spectacular.
Review 19:The Wi Fi was very weak in my room. I had to go outside near the lifts to use a WiFi phone. Breakfast cereal selection didn't have enough fibre.
Review 20:The location. Size of room. Quiet. Breakfast buffet. People at reception.
Review 21:The room was perfect, very big, with terrace and a wonderful view. The "romantic" formula was simply amazing. We had a welcome drink around midnight, the personnel was really nice, it was a memorable stay.
Review 22:Not anything to dislike, only problem we had was the shower door did not stop the water from flooding the bathroom floor
Review 23:Rooms excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel in a brilliant location. Some great restaurants nearby. The hotel breakfast was very good
Review 24:The staff at the front desk was so wonderful. The girl who helped us spoke perfect English and Spanish. She gave us a map and gave us a suggested itinerary of the most important things to see in Aveiro. The room was beautiful and clean and overlooked the canal. Breakfast was also good and was included which is always nice!
Review 25:Lovely modern room with a balcony overlooking the canal.Tea and kettle in the room.Nice free toiletries .Delicious breakfast. Helpful friendly staff.
Review 26:The location was amazing - literally outside was the canal and the fish market. Great restaurant options all around. And most importantly extremely friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the Chanel room and were not disappointed by the room or the views!
Review 27:The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and nice; checkin was fast! Best location possible. I'll definitely stay here again if I visit Aveiro again.
Review 28:Parking is a bit of a problem, with few hotel spaces. There is a public car park opposite. The hotel do everything they can to get over this issue.
Review 29:The Moliciero is a very good choice. The general feel of the hotel is everything you would expect of a quality hotel. The breakfast choice is amazing and they dealt with my special diet promptly. The staff are terrifically helpful. The location is very central, on the canal.
Review 30:This hotel is situated right alongside the main canal and within a short walk of the main shopping centre and many cafes. The staff and in particular Pedro and Miguel are very helpful and have excellent language skills. The breakfast is second to none. The theme rooms are large and very comfortable.
Review 31:The guy at the bar was completely non-responsive. He ignored the guests and disappeared constantly.
Review 32:With the exception of the bar, the service was fantastic. The property is well located and lovely.
Review 33:No complaints at all
Review 34:Great people throughout the hotel - so kind and always smiling! Top hotel in a great location - with some many nice details. Just round the corner you find the fish-market with some great restaurants.
Review 35:We enjoyed the beautiful, quirky Chinese-themed bedroom; staff on reception could not have been more friendly and helpful; and breakfast was the best ever.
Review 36:The bedroom had 5 lamps but every one was too dull for comfortable reading of a book or newspaper. At least one high-illumination lamp for reading would have been nice.
Review 37:The location, and the hotel itself, both were excellent.
Review 38:The hotel is easy to reach and located at one of the canals. The old town is right behind the hotel. The service and the ambience is fantastic. This is one of the few places I would like to come back at any time.
Review 39:Staff were extremely friendly and well-trained. Nice touches such complementary as hot tea being served in the room and a welcome drink served until midnight. Hotel is located right on the canal.
Review 40:Hot food at breakfast was cold
Review 41:The staff were excellent and helpful in every way. Welcoming drinks on arrival and tea each afternoon. Wide choice of food at breakfast. Parking at the front door. Short walk to everything. The room and hotel facilities are beautifully kept and clean
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a very spacious room on the first floor with 4 big windows and a beautiful view on the canal. The bathroom was modern. Breakfast was very good, a lot of variety and coffee was excellent. We had a very relaxing time in this hotel.
Review 44:- carpet in room is old and needs to be replaced - pillows had an odd and unpleasant smell (probably sweat), thus need to be replaced - be aware that parking nearby could be a challenge as the town is quite busy
Review 45:- location of hotel - quiet room, despite overlooking the front street & canal - friendly staff at reception - nice choice at breakfast buffet
Review 46:Everything was great. However blow dryer was wall hung a bit outdated
Review 47:Breakfast was excellent. Room tidy and comfortable. The hotel was in a superb location right on the canal.
Review 48:Our hotel room was only ready well over an hour after check in time. Staff was not helpful in suggesting places to visit. Feels worn down
Review 49:Breakfast was fantastic Tea and fruit in room in the evening was lovely Double windows and comfort of room
Review 50:Actually I liked everything about it!
Review 51:The location was prime to getting all around the town. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The morning breakfast was more than one could want. I felt very well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Review 52:Air conditioning controlled from front desk - never come across that before. Corridors were stylish but really dark with movement controlled lighting that was always slightly behind!
Review 53:Very helpful staff. Large, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Central location and we got lucky with car parking on both nights. Lots of good restaurants within easy walking.
Review 54:Friendly Staff. We had just left our Honeymoon in Vilamoura to visit family in Aveiro and Hotel Moliceiro Made it feel like another Honeymoon. Great Room and Decor. Very Nice Piano Bar at night. Best location. Behind it has some great night life for the younger Travelers. 5 Star Hotel!!
Review 55:Overall hard to find anything to complain about, but I suppose it would have been nice to have coffee-making facilities in the room.
Review 56:Superb service from staff. All staff members were extremely attentive and happily attended to all our requests. Room itself was modern and very comfortable, plenty of space. The location is unbeatable.
Review 57:Our air conditioning worked, but could only be regulated from the main desk. A bit inconvenient, but not off-putting.
Review 58:Perfectly situated near the town center and by a park and the canal, this hotel is a great place from which to launch activities in Aveiro. It can be noisy, but the windows are double pained and silenced the problem immediately. The staff is warm, charming and helpful. They serve tea every afternoon. The breakfast is copious, delicious and full of variety. The room was enormous and outfitted most comfortably. All in all, a top-notch establishment. I recommend it with no restraint.
Review 59:bed wasn't very comfortable no free water

Review 99:Great location Friendly staff
Review 100:Delighted to be upgraded to a room with a view of the canal. Great location and very friendly staff.
Review 101:No outdoor area to sit, but you only had to go across the road to the park by the canal.
Review 102:The staff were so friendly and helpful, particularly Dora. The bedroom was quite luxurious and spotlessly clean.
Review 103:Nothing! It's not amazingly cheap but it truly is a 4 star hotel, unlike many in Spain & portugal that say they are but have a 3 star feel. You get what you pay for!
Review 104:Everything! Great big bed, nice bathroom, including bath, balcony, very complete breakfast, including bubbly & wide choice of breads & cheese, all beautifully presented, staff could speak English if you wanted them to, welcome drink, hot water & tea bag in room (need to bring own milk but then they might offer that, too, if asked).
Review 105:Nothing really!
Review 106:A lovely hotel facing the canal.interesting decoration ,very simple and elegant witn a touch of art deco.Large bedroom.Very helpful staff
Review 107:Nothing to not like!
Review 108:Absolutely fabulous hotel, true luxury at an affordable price. The staff couldn't do enough, the service and finer touches to rooms mark this hotel out as outstanding venue. The location of the hotel is central and immediately adjacent to the historical centre of the town; within easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and the river boat cruises. Perfect short stay location.
Review 109:The hotel is right in the centre of Aveiro along the beautiful canal and close to all attractions, cafes and restaurant. The staff is very helpful and goes above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The breakfast is amazing as well as the little treats provided during the stay. The rooms are very clean and nice. This is the third time we are staying and I would not stay anywhere else in Aveiro.
Review 110:The scrambled egg was usually tepid. It was still delicious. The pianist was so loud we had to leave the room, which we felt bad for him. He obviously has talent but sometimes he was murdering well-known tunes - a pity.
Review 111:The staff were really friendly and made sure my elderly Dad was well-looked after. The decor was stunning. Breakfast was really nice. The scrambled egg and sausages were tasty even though they were tepid. The bar.
Review 112:Noise from 7 am from the building's air conditioning or exhaustion system Shower equipment out of order
