Reviews for Riad Idrissi
Review 1:They are an artesanal family, and of course, we had a visit to their shop... I think is good to know It. I respect everybody tries to get their bread, and everybody can decide what to buy or not. However, It was a nice visit to the shop. Very nicely, we didnt feel bothered or anything to buy.
Review 2:The locatión is very good, the host is very nice, friendly and helpfull, the dinner was very tasty and a lot! They helped us with the best places to go and how to get there. They have a very beautifull terrace and the decoratión of the Riad is amazing! Thank you so much!
Review 3:value for money: we booked late and there were no other options. perhaps it is issue of Meknes overall but the accommodation was the most expensive (of our entire trip) with the same or worse facilities (compared to other places).
Review 4:Friendly staff (we arrived late and they waited for us); we were allowed to store luggage after check-out;
Review 5:The uncomfortable moment when you are invited to see their "gallery" in yhe basement, which was a very pressured filled attempt to get me to buy a carpet.while their home cooking dinner was good, it was overpriced.pretty hard to find. I was not provided directions, just told yo go to a bab and then to look for a restaurant (that was closed) and ask directions. Very easy to find once I knew where to look.
Review 6:Staff was friendly and spoke English. The terrace was lovely and breakfast was awesome! We had a main floor room which was cooler than the rest, a welcome relief from the heat in Meknes in may. It could have been noisy but we were the only guests.
Review 7:The staff except one were indifferent although unavoidably there was a language difficulty we did not experience this elsewhere
Review 8:The riad was tastefully decorated
Review 9:Wasn't crazy about the medina in general. Streets are very dirty and smelly.
Review 10:Beautiful older historic building, very well preserved, quiet and cool inside.
Review 11:Well located
Review 12:A bit hard to find, dinner was bouring
Review 13:The crew is really nice and will help you in every thing you want
Review 14:Complicated tzo get there on foot
Review 15:Good location on medina
Review 16:For me, one most important aspect of a hotel/riad is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The acting manager of this riad reminded of the prison warden in "Midnight Express!" He NEVER even smiled; he always acted as if we were not really welcome; and he was totally unhelpful! I do not recommend this riad to anyone from America who might expect courtesy and helpfulness from the staff!
Review 17:This riad was attractive and comfortable, though noisy since our bedroom was right above a busy walking alley.
Review 18:the room was a bit smelly at first, but clean (go for a room with window if possible). privacy is a bit of an issue as the head of the riad--who is a nice guy after all--wanted us to have dinner there (he insisted quite a lot) and he also tried to sell us some carpets
Review 19:the riad is very nice, and the dinner was tasty. the medina is well located
Review 20:we expected AC, but not all rooms are equipped; our room was a bit small for three people with luggage; our room opened into the central courtyard and had no outside window - lack of privacy and view.
Review 21:traditional style, friendly staff; nice terraces open to all guests.
Review 22:Hard beds. Hot terrace rooms. Couscous made me sick. But that'sprobably a one time incident. Only hard to find if you get dropped offon the main road. If you take the back road it's up the hill 30meters and you'll see a sign. Go left.
Review 23:Pretty cool. First place I stayed in 5 medinas that actually had signspointing to its location. Nice rooms, hard beds, nice bathrooms. Alsofirst bathroom where I had a shower curtain. Staff seem friendly enough.Best point was me taking the personal driver to Volulibis. I was hot andexhausted and didn't want to deal with the ridiculous taxis. Thestaff member (Abdei) called Mohammed. This guy was my buddy! Picked meup in an air conditioned suv. He was so laid back. 400 mad was more thanworth it. Definitely recommend it.
Review 24:The room did not have anything except a bed and a closet, and there was hardly space to move in it. The bathroom did not have a hook to hang clothes.
Review 25:The hotel manager was very nice and provided us with enough info.
Review 26:Smelly room. Hard to find (although they try their best making it visible in the medina)
Review 27:We had the luck of booking the room next to the sunny roof terrace. The breakfast was okay (for moroco), and because we don't like coffee they made us tea the next morning.
Review 28:It's located off the beaten path.
Review 29:The traditional decor was beautiful. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Rooms are small but adequate. Staff was friendly and courteous.
Review 30:A little difficult to find
Review 31:Good traditional decor
Review 32:It was not so easy to find the Riad.
Review 33:This is a real Riad into the core of Meknes Medina. The staff is very friendly and open
Review 34:The room is pretty simple and rustic but it's good value for money.
Review 35:The staff was friendly and very nice to us, especially the cook !
Review 36:very cold in riad
Review 37:nice place
