Reviews for Hotel Hors Chateau

Review 1:The WIFI didn't always connect and was slow. Breakfast was not included and cost an extra 12 euros a day per person. The hotel also wanted to know the exact time that you would be there to eat...no option to sleep in or change plans.

Review 2:The hotel was close to the historic area of Liège and the bed was not two twins put together. We were lucky to get the room at the back of the hotel away from the street and the restaurant.

Review 3:Nothing. Just as an advice, the reception is not always manned so it is better to inform the hotel of your arrival time. The hotel is small with only 9 rooms so there is no lift.

Review 4:Excellent location (close to all the main touristic sites, very helpful and kind staff, well-designed clean room with every necessity and comfort (including coffee & tea making facilities) and nicely served tasty breakfast.

Review 5:Very limited reception availability-we checked in around 5:00 p.m. and then reception closed and wasn't open again anytime after check-in through check-out. Steep, narrow stairs to rooms, but staff carries luggage. Small room for the price.

Review 6:Central Old Town location so could walk everywhere. Car parking was a couple blocks away. Cheerful room decor.

Review 7:We didn't like the breakfast unfortunately. €12 for a basket of baby pastries, coffee, fruit and yogurt, slices of ham and chesse, butter and jam. That's all you get! Without a doubt they could give a more substantial breakfast but we also understand this is very typical in Europe. Bacon and eggs doesn't seem to be an option.

Review 8:The location was AMAZING! just 8min walk from liege-palais station. Around the corner you have this little cafe called Le Rivoli which was fantastic value for money! The room was very comfortable, incredible cleaned and organized. A/C, TV, a kettle!!! The WIFI was incredibly fast and although our room was facing the street we didn't hear anything! In general we loved the place and the manager and receptionist were incredibly helpful! The manager speaks spanish, english and french which was great!!! It has a restaurant that was pretty full everyday we were there, never went but checked the menu and looked delicious!

Review 9:Guests should have a chance of simply getting a drink at the restaurant downstairs when there are enough tables to accomodate them !

Review 10:Interesting combination of vintage building and good modern interior design.

Review 11:Very friendly and helpful staff-spoke English fluently (not a foregone conclusion that anyone will in Liège). Restaurant downstairs was fabulous and not expensive at all.

Review 12:Light sleepers should request a room away from the street. The heating in our bathroom was broken...

Review 13:Nice staff and good location in the old center. The bed was excellent!

Review 14:The only bad thing is that there is no elevator. But this hotel is so good that this negative aspect is extremely minimal when compared to all the other positive things.

Review 15:This is a perfect hotel for couples and solo travelers who want a central hotel that is not too noisy or busy. Breakfast was great even though you would need to pay separately for this service. Rooms are modern, nicely arranged with everything you need in one room.

Review 16:the staff in the restaurant was a little rude and didn't manage to get us what we ordered. dinner had a very good quality though.

Review 17:Very nice staff. The hotel is beautifully located right next to the 'escalier de bueren'. breakfast in the restaurant was delicious and cosy.

Review 18:All perfect

Review 19:It was small and friendly the bistro downstairs did wonderful food all in all best holiday ever. It was sited in the old and interesting part of town but was also surprisingly very quiet. Many thanks

Review 20:Very noisy.

Review 21:Situation centre-ville

Review 22:The bed was a bit hard.

Review 23:Very friendly and helpful receptionist and a good breakfast. Very quiet for such a central location.

Review 24:Stairs very steep.

Review 25:Services good. Staff helpful.

Review 26:The girl who checked us in was kind and helped to resolve some miscommunication.

Review 27:Breakfast at extra cost. Pillows too large and puffy.

Review 28:Friendly staff. Nicely decorated modern room.

Review 29:My room was facing the street-very noisy, needed to keep the blindes shut-otherwise all the street can see me in my room. staircase is steep-but it is an old building. Breakfast is overcharged.Tiles in the shower needs change.

Review 30:Location was good for me- I had a meeting near by.Room is OK, bed is comfortable, tea and coffee facilities in the room-very good.Breakfast is OK.Room is clean,

Review 31:Sound of slamming door due to the restaurant at ground floor. Bathroom was poorly lit and shower head needs to be fixed. Poor privacy (sound + view on neighbours).

Review 32:Excellent location near the city center. Friendly staff. Parking about 200m away (paying though). Fair value for money.

Review 33:A bit noisy, because room was next to the street. Note: You have to tell the time of your arrival, otherwise nobody may be at the reception, but -very nice- they will phone you in case that you forgot to mention this in your booking.

Review 34:It's really in the center of Liege. Minimalistic style of the room was completely ok, wonderful cosy bed. Good, that you can choose to open the windows or to use the air condition..

Review 35:Top rear of the hotel, if windows are opened, is next to a noisyventilation system used by nearby building. We did not mind and itstopped working at 11.00 pm. I mentioned it to the hotel owner.

Review 36:Downtown. Great way to explore the city and come back to rest. Next tothe famous "Escaliers" (stairs) of Liège.

Review 37:Narrow stairs to get to reception Parking in public car park underDecathalon cost €14 overnight Breakfast was basic - croissants, coffee & juice If anyone enters or leaves a neighbouring room itmakes a lot of noise.

Review 38:Friendly staff Rooms nicely furnished Free wifi Great shower

Review 39:Unfriendly reception.Had to wait 10 minutes before staff appeared for checkout. Steep stairs. Incredibly SMALL bed - even for a single bed. Only one English-language TV channel - CNN.

Review 40:Central location in historic centre. Good breakfast.

Review 41:No hot water and nobody at reception in the morning when leaving.Freezing cold room...bad breakfast, badly organised. Typicalboutique hotel that looks nice, costs more but does not function aswell as it should.

Review 42:Parking in the general area around the hotel was an issue, and it was abit of walk to find a reasonable restaurant, but access to the hotelitself is potentially the biggest issue. Access is via steep narrowstairs to reception on the first floor, no lift that I spotted. Not thebest form of access with large suitcases etc.

Review 43:Convenient, cost-effective and comfortable accommodation.

Review 44:The staff were fantastic and so accommodating, ann the food in the restaurant downstairs was amazing , we would certainly return there!!!!

Review 45:Great rooms in an a renovated 17th century building. fabulous wood beams.

Review 46:Stair steep and narrow to the upper rooms

Review 47:The hotel is city central.' Bus stop outside Close to shops
