Reviews for Ryad Bahia

Review 1:The tasteful refurbishment and warmth of the staff made out staff mush more than simply a place to sleep when we explored Rabat. The owners are also involved with a boat/restraun t project called "Le Dhow' and that's worth a visit too

Review 2:The first night, we were in the Laila room on the top floor and it smelled moldy. The owners ascribed this to construction work going on next door, but it seemed to us more intrinsic. We were moved to another room for the second night, and it was wonderful. Our assumption is that the problem is limited to the Laila room.

Review 3:Superb breakfast and dinner, among the very best of the riads we have stayed at. The owners are descendants of the original viziers to Sultan Moulay al-Hassan I. Their adjacent palace is now the wonderful Dar Jamaï Museum. The antique furnishings of the riad reflect this history.

Review 4:Room and particularly the bathroom were pretty rustic, though everything was absolutely clean.

Review 5:Overall atmosphere and friendliness of staff were great

Review 6:Location is excellent..On a charming side lane in the medina..Very quiet and the hostess could not have been more pleasant. Would definitely enjoy staying here again !!!

Review 7:Rooftop room was quite small - would be hot in summer (go for lower down rooms then), altho the view and all the plants and decorations was lovely. Owner gave us a bad steer when we asked directions to the govt-run craft collective and she talked us out of it and sent us to an expensive rip-off carpet and craft shop (run by persuasive merchants, not craftspeople) over near the golf course.

Review 8:Charming riad that is also a historic family home. Wonderful roof terrace & central garden (where b/fast & dinner is served). Great evening meal - excellent Moroccan food & value. Very friendly & knowledge owners & staff.

Review 9:Great family environment. Friendly knowledgable owners who have travelled widely themselves. Fantastic breakfasts included in the price. Dinner available on request. Get a room with a roof top garden.

Review 10:simple bedroom with rather limited comfort, poor maintenance of bathroom equipment, too expansive for the services provided

Review 11:location, staff friendliness

Review 12:Coffee was a little weak which for Morocco is unusual.

Review 13:Everything was great. "Staff" was particularly helpful in giving us details and ideas about Meknes. Next time I think we would opt for a more expensive room although ours was just fine and very comfortable.

Review 14:If you are driving, be sure to study a detailed map of the Medina to know exactly how to approach the parking area. After the initial tension of driving in the Medina without really being of sure of your destination, you will appreciate the calm, quiet comfort of Riad Bahia even more.

Review 15:This unique property and its gracious owner full of stories insure that our first visit to Meknes will not be our last.

Review 16:Rooms a little small. shower a little weak. Muezzin close by can wake you up with his morning prayers if you're not a deep sleeper.

Review 17:Perfect location in the medina and near the royal palace and main plaza. Airy and spacey Ryad. Very comfortable and beautyfully decorated lobby, restaurant, living rooms and terrasses. Excellent food. very friendly and smiling personnel Nicely decorated bedrooms

Review 18:The hostess makes you feel right at home at this gorgeous place. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, just as the gorgeously decorated rooms. We can highly recommend dinner here, this was also really good. A great place to stay and discover Meknes.

Review 19:Wonderful place

Review 20:Location, room, breakfast and accommodating owners.

Review 21:Room was cold at night had to ask for an extra blanket

Review 22:House was magnificent decor beautiful and lovely breakfast

Review 23:Very friendly staff, beautiful building.

Review 24:Nice location, Nice food and an impressive house. Very nice atmosphere

Review 25:Nothing

Review 26:Location is perfect. Staff very helpful and extremely polite. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. My family and I felt right at home.

Review 27:amazing

Review 28:270Euros for a 3 night stay in this room is very overpriced. Bettervalue can be found elsewhere. The room was basic not comfortable. 2 smalltowels in bathroom, broken plumbing, no Kleenex.

Review 29:Good location. Attractive old Ryad.

Review 30:Not much really. Was not sure if there was the availability of food eg restaurant.

Review 31:Location, attentive staff, helpful with advice etc. Authentic Ryad, well presented.

Review 32:Although the food was very good, there was no menu given at the facility,so there was no way of knowing until we checked out that we wereconsistently spending more for meals than average.

Review 33:Beautiful facility, large and tastefully decorated in traditionalMoroccan decor. Friendly and attentive staff.

Review 34:You are welcomed as guests into the owners' home, which makes for a very homey, comfortable stay in a great location in the medina (which was relatively easy to find). Our room on the terrace among a well-tended garden was a delight. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding.

Review 35:the sheets were old and of poor quality. They were "pilled" and worn. The owners could do more to help us become familiar with the city - this happened in other cities and Riads in Morocco. The room was above the restaurant and noisy. One evening meal was excellent , one average.

Review 36:Beautifully decorated Riad. The breakfast and meals were mainly good.

Review 37:Shower gave a very little bit water

Review 38:Very nice food, cooked by riad Friendly and helpful staff Very nice riad very close to main square and middle of medina

Review 39:The booking.com map was way off! You guys have to get it right. RiadBahia is in the medina, not near McDonalds.

Review 40:The rooms were like something from 1001 Nights and the ownerswere fantastic

Review 41:The room and bathroom were clean but the shower wall tiles need scrubbing

Review 42:The owners and staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location was fabulous...so close to the main square and access to the medina. The riad is decorated beautifully.

Review 43:I thought the food was average Moroccon faire. Our first nights stay was accompanied by a festival which was heard inside our room.

Review 44:The location, just inside the medina was perfect. The Riad was spacious, with multiple community rooms. The bed and bath were clean and comfortable.

Review 45:A problems exists with fake guides operating in the parking areas nearto the hotel. Contact the hotel to arrange help with luggage and safeparking. Do not pay anyone until they have been approved by hotel staff.

Review 46:Staff very helpful.

Review 47:They were a little disorganized. Customers should also be aware thatif you book a room with a balcony the balcony is part of the house andoutside the room.we also feel we didnt get the room we booked. Also itwas extremely dodgy after 9pm outside of riad.streets were full ofdrug dealers.

Review 48:The staff were friendly and hotel room and furniture were pretty

Review 49:Nothing. Badly localted, not clean, the pool was abandoned, and therooms were in quite bad shape. In the neighbour house 2 barking dogsduring the whole night.

Review 50:Although the food is excellent, they had run out of wine!

Review 51:The staff were welcoming and friendly and were always ready to help.Nothing was too much trouble - a real 'family' feel to thehotel, although they have 10 rooms I think. The rooms were spotless andbeautifully decorated with a real eye for detail. Location is excellent- very close to the gates so you don't have to carry your bags far.

Review 52:For 65 Euros we got a very very small room and, with the suitcases onthe floor there was no other place) we couldn't walk in the room.Dusty, no very clean, cheap sheets. Then we moved to a 80 Euro/night room. Much better, but no quality. We checked other Ryads and theywere much better for the money.

Review 53:We liked the location and the friendliness of the people that owe theplace

Review 54:Great and nice staff, they gave us a better room than we booked, perfect location, great and large breakfast, gorgeous minttea

Review 55:The staff was most accommodating and friendly. We were surprisingly given an upgraded room which was large and beautiful…thank you!

Review 56:Owners and staff very friendly and efficient Location great Good breakfast Great room
