Reviews for NOA Guest House

Review 1:We enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff. Having breakfast provided was great if you booked the rooms with ensuite. Being close to town was convenient.

Review 2:I wasn't expecting the arrivals and departures of other folks so it got a bit noisy at times but overall noise levels were okay (it helped I was upstairs)

Review 3:The staff were great. Location was convenient to the waterfront, palace and main town. Awesome place to meet new people.

Review 4:Some beds are not very comfortable and when there are lot of people is difficult to keep it clean!

Review 5:The staff is good and the atmosphere in the kitchen amazing!

Review 6:The staff were really friendly and very helpful. They helped us with a lot of different aspects of our trip, not just the accommodation, and even when we weren't staying with them (just passing through Nuku'Alofa on our way to the airport) we dropped in to say hello to them and they treated us like old friends.

Review 7:Random people turning up at all hours of the day and night to buy alcohol, Banging on windows and asking for the staff. Said free breakfast breakfast online, but it wasn't offered at any point. Bike hires were dangerous and led to an injury due to poor maintenance. No quiet curfew meant rowdy guests staying up late and causing loud noise and annoying other guests

Review 8:Location and free coconut milk

Review 9:the bathroom in our room was a disaster..broken or no cupboard doors and every draw had dead cockroaches in them...now im no snob, but please that's just not quite right.

Review 10:we arrived at 2am so was in need of bed..lovely and comfortable. bedroom recently retiled and fitted with new furniture.

Review 11:The bathrooms weren't cleaned once in 3 days we stayed there. The owner made us pay more expensive than advertised because we booked through booking so we had to pay bookings commission. it's way over prized for a basic standard. guesthouse.

Review 12:Wonderful staff, clean bedsheets,

Review 13:Bathrooms are substandard for the cost

Review 14:Organised airport pick up. Close to town. Good for 1 night before going to smaller islands. Free coconuts and vey happy staff

Review 15:The back kitchen fridge could do with a good clean.Take ear plugs as the kitchen can get noisy around 6.30a.m..

Review 16:From the owner to the cleaners the staff where great and they went out of their way to help.the rooms are nice and roomy and the bed was really comfortable.

Review 17:Hard pillows , noisy water pump outside my window, little or no water in shower and cold water in the shower. Found another shower that was better.

Review 18:Friendly and helpful people, very welcoming and hospitable.

Review 19:The hot water and pressure in the upstairs showers should have been working in the evenings.

Review 20:The hospitality was amazing. Nana, Mote and the team were outstanding and so welcoming. They get five stars for going out of their way to help.

Review 21:Quite difficult to find, no banner or adverts... You have to ask. They promissed to pick us up at the airport but apperently forgot about it so we came with a different driver for the same price.

Review 22:free coconuts!!! this was great! Also, good location, big room, comfortable bed, clead bathroom, possibility to use kitchen,

Review 23:Everything was easy, the staff was helpful and friendly. We had a lovely stay. Also a good experience in terms of knowing the cultural identity of Tongan people, thanks to their openness.

Review 24:Painters started painting outside the guest rooms early in the morning making noises

Review 25:Location - 5 mins walk to city centre Staff - very friendly and helpful

Review 26:wifi was very expensive. Even if you paid for like 100 megabytes, when using laptop the bandwith runs out quickly. You should instead buy prepaid sim card from a store which has mobile data, its very good value for money compared to this hotels rate.

Review 27:Good shops and restaurants in a walking distance. Staff is very nice and helpful, always smiling and asking if everything is ok. There is no beach near by, so you have to use taxi which is pretty expensive in tonga. We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed our stay. We walked to the pier which is 30 min walk, and paid 10 dollars to get Pangaimotu Island, boat trip takes only 10 minutes and the beach is AWESOME. Hotel also provided free coconuts to drink.

Review 28:Quite noisy chicken in the neighbourhood, but it somehow belongs to Tonga, so we thought why not :-)

Review 29:Central location, very helpful staff, fresh bananas and limes every day. Not a luxury but clean and everything you need for a budget stay in Nukualofa. Overall, a very good place to stay for the price.

Review 30:Mote and his team defiantly go the extra mile to help out where they can.Third stay at Noa and personally wouldn't go anywhere else good value for money...Deff be back

Review 31:It would have been good if the shower and toilet were kept a bit cleaner and if towels had been provided.

Review 32:The staff were very kind and friendly and the bedroom was great with the air conditioning.

Review 33:We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to Noa. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome and assisted us with all our needs. We were offered delicious, complimentary coconuts harvested from the house's palm trees. They also rent out bikes and motorbikes so you don't have to look for a rental in town.

Review 34:Door to room didn't shut properly - needed a shoulder put to it, had two drunk people enter our room at different times in middle of night. Would suggest a bit of planing around the door to fix.

Review 35:Friendly, make yourself at home type place, great to be able to self cater. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Handy to central Nuku'alofa.

Review 36:The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We were travelling with young children and it was a very easy and convenient place to have them. I would recommend noa to others and would visit again myself.

Review 37:The bathrooms are very tired. The air conditioner did not work and room was very hot in the day. Cooled down by opening all windows, but then mosquitoes are an issue - no screens on windows. This is an issue as Chikungunya and Dengue are both current concerns

Review 38:Very convenient for town, and we walked everywhere. Staff are very friendly and the omelette for breakfast was excellent - (We had our own coffee)

Review 39:There was no hot water in the showers and there were no towels (so that worked out well)

Review 40:It was cheap, the location is very good if you want to check Nuku'alofa out and it was cheap

Review 41:Didnt get enough sleep most nights i slept their because the staff would be having loud conversation early morning and throughout the day.

Review 42:The staffs were very friendly, the location good close to town, beach and few places I knew about. The only facility I knew you can smoke outside and can have a few drinks I thought that was great. The shower and hot water was great, being in tonga that is a massive plus sign. Free coconut and banana was good, no mosqitoes. I would definitely stay here again

Review 43:We were there first one night, and then we came back two more nights. Our first booking was right, but for the second one, they didn´t have our room, so the gave us another which was better than our booking, what is nice. The problem is they changed our room the second day and as we had to leave the hotel quite early in the morning, we had to wake up earlier to do our bags because we could´t leave our things there. They moved our luggage, but it was quite disorganised, because when we came back, they told us one room, but our luggage wasn´t there. Finally, the luggage was in other room (no the first one, no our new room...) When they gave us the key, they made a mistake again because it wasn´t our room´s key. Quite desorganised...

Review 44:The staff was excellent. They are kind and very friendly. The location is good. The rooms are humble, but very clean.

Review 45:Nothing specifically with Noa Guest House - being closer to the town environmental noise was louder than if you were staying further out.

Review 46:If you are looking for clean, budget accommodation close, but not too close, to Nuku'Alofa, then Noa Guest House is a good choice. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the yummy breakfasts were cooked in a nice clean kitchen. There is a wee shop directly across the road and the main centre with markets, and the tasty Friends Cafe, is about 4 short blocks away. Nana was great to deal with and tried her best to help us with any requests. If we were to return to Tonga, and needed to stay in Nuku'Alofa, we would definitely look at the Noa Guest House again!

Review 47:Roosters, church bells, and dogs fighting throughout the night. Unless you at a beach resort this will happen anywhere in Tonga. Get a room with air conditioning so you wont have a window open and hear everything.

Review 48:Clean Rooms SUPER friendly staff - was invited to eat and drink with them often. They had great recommendations on which activities and sights to see, and gave such a cool insight on the local culture, traditions/non-traditions and the tourism industry. Fresh coconuts to drink almost every day! Two kitchens to use, never had to wait to cook Location is only 5 minutes away from downtown

Review 89:Kind, hospitable, close to all amenities, highly recommended.

Review 90:Very friendly helpful staff Great location

Review 91:It was cold there at the time. It took me two nights to get a blanket. Also, the man in the next room was shouting on his phone at 11:15 pm and I had to bang on our common wall for him to finally quiet down.

Review 92:The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nana was terriffic.

Review 93:Noa Guesthouse really became our 'home' in Tonga. The owner, Mote, is a very friendly guy who is always around in the evenings to talk to guests about Tonga and/or to have a drink with them. The staff was always around and very friendly, especially Nana. Location was good, a two minute walk away from the city centre. We had an awesome stay at Noa's and the free coconuts were just an added bonus!

Review 94:There were a few things the room could have done with electric jug and cups, toilet roll holder and towel rails would have made a difference . Also our rooms shower head was incomplete . Nothing that would stop me staying again, but enough to change the ratings from excellent .

Review 95:The friendly staff and the welcome drink of fresh coconut were great. Beds were comfy and fresh cooked breakfast on the balcony was great :)

Review 96:No information when arrived about breakfasts, an extra charge/needs to be ordered etc. Not all staff followed the managers friendly example.

Review 97:Very good pre stay communication and help. A relaxed atmosphere, no formal check in. Nana the manger was very friendly. The cooked breakfasts were nice. Very handy for town.

Review 98:Very helpful and nice stuff. We could use a lot for example they provided us a lot of fruit and we got a Welcome drink at the beginning of our stay. They offered us a shuttle service.

Review 99:Friendly, and very helpful

Review 105:changing linen and towels could be more regular

Review 106:Friendly staff, good location.
