Reviews for Kuskayasi Pension

Review 1:Although I was alone, the first room I was given had 3 small beds. The bathroom walls and ceiling were spotted with dead insects. Mould everywhere on joints and every corner of the shower. The bed linen was really so-so, not neat and holes on some pieces. Only one sheet and a cover spotted too. I asked for a second sheet to put over me but they did not understand what I wanted. Absolutely no English spoken. About the staff, actually I saw no one except Arzu, who seemed alone to do everything. So, when I showed her the mould, It seemed she could do nothing. As I was staying 3 nights, I bought some cleaning stuff and did it myself. On the second night, she had given me a room with a double bed that was not as dirty but not clean. I think it's overpriced and not advisable, for European standards anyway. The breakfast is OK. Rooms are dark because it's situated under the street level, but each room has its own area outside with a table and chairs and it could really be OK if cleaner, and electricity and other details fixed properly.

Review 2:The location was good, easy to reach, close to the otogar (bus terminal). The manager, Arzu, is very welcoming and does the best she can.

Review 3:The room was extremely dirty: bad clothing, tawels, floor and lots of mould in the bathroom. It is a shame to propose such a place to the guests!!! The sanitary authorities should get interested in that place.

Review 4:Nothing

Review 5:The room was modest for the price but that can be expected in a popular beach town.

Review 6:The management immediately helped us park the car and took our luggage back to our room where we were immediately shown the facilities and wished a good night's sleep. The breakfast was generous with an omelet.

Review 7:cigarette smoke - everyone was smoking in the small outside seating area, and the room itself picked up the odor. You could not have the window or door open as all the smoke would come in (the rooms are ground floor opening onto a tiny patio). The room size is deceptive as it's not one room but 2, the larger with one queen bed which barely fits between the walls, head to foot, only leaving about a foot and a half to walk past the bed into the rest of the room and bathroom..The second room has a twin bed completely filling it. The bathroom is spacious, however. But it could have used a thorough cleaning with an eye to getting rid of the mildew. Very expensive, but it was a major holiday which may have spiked all the prices.

Review 8:location directly across the street from the bay and the museum. Quiet residential area.

Review 9:Nothing.

Review 10:Easy to find. Excelent location, near bus station. Free place for the car. Good bed, excelent WIFI. With fridge and AC. A place outside the room with a table and 2 chairs. Good breakfast. Not noicy. Not dangerous at all.

Review 11:Damp, full of ants. Dirty.

Review 12:Poor ventilation in the bathroom and strange room configuration meant it was hard to move around the bedroom

Review 13:Location

Review 14:Plumbing problems and over priced.

Review 15:Helpful staff, good breakfast and easy access to bus station.

Review 16:Very nice owners, family atmosphere. Good location just across the street from the waterfront and the bus station.

Review 17:The map made it look like the hotel is on the harbor side of the street, but it's actually on the other side (east side) of the street.

Review 18:The family who run the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They madesure we got into a great restaurant by calling ahead for us and movingus to the head of a long line.

Review 19:The rooms are facing the street with a small garden in between. There is not much insulation so except street noise.

Review 20:Breakfast served at terrass just in front of room.

Review 21:Staff were very friendly and helpful without being overbearing and we all managed very well with no common language. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained Tea and coffee were available on request and the room had a coffee machine and fridge. Wi fi worked!!! Breakfast was beautifully presented and varied. Location was central and near town, sea, bars and restaurants but it could be noisy. It is a pension, not hotel so the price was in line with expectations.
