Review 1：We liked everything about the Stone Gate Inn. We stayed only the one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we are in Orillia for a concert at Rama, we are definitely staying here. Great value for your money and the place is absolutely spotless and very well maintained and decorated.

Review 2：The front desk staff when we arrived, was rude and made us feel that we were bothering her. When asked about the breakfast, she quickly snapped at me, you stayed here before, nothing has changed. She did not welcome us when we first arrived, she came around the corner and said, do you want to check in. We almost left because of her attitude.

Review 3：The rooms are nice, but when I really looked at the furniture it is getting dated. We like the idea of a suite. However because of how we were treated at the front desk, not sure if we would come back. To suggest it to friends will not happen.

Review 4：Arrived back at hotel early morning (3:00am) and there was no parking available. Bed linens had a bit of an odour.

Review 7：The hotel was immaculately clean, the room large and comfortable, the public areas very clean and pleasant. All around this was a very nice stay. It is conveniently close to Hwy 11 for those travelling between Toronto and points North.

Review 9：This hotel was recommended to us by friends and we're happy to have stayed there. Staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. The breakfast, although standard, was well presented and good. We were impressed that the hot tub was in good working order, which is something we don't encounter much in most hotel chains. We certainly will return.

Review 11：The glass logs fireplace was nice but not worthy of the additional cost we paid for the room. The lounge area which served hors d'oeuvres and drinks in the evening and breakfast in the morning was tiny and it was difficult to find a place to sit during breakfast. The room was hot even with the regular and fireplace thermostats turned right down.

Review 17：TV is a Panasonic but unfortunately the remote control left in the room is the one that comes with the Rogers cable box. You aim it at the TV to turn the TV on and off but aim it at the cable box to change channels and they are not placed side by side. Images were distorted because screen format was zoomed out and I couldn't adjust the screen format without the TV's remote.

Review 18：Easy access to Hwy 11. Comfortable bed, microwave, mini fridge, sink, single cup Keurig coffeemaker available in room. Blackout curtains ensures a good night sleep. Cups, water glasses, wine glasses and cutlery provided in cupboards. Our room also has a fireplace but we didn't use it.

Review 19：The only slight downfall was that the tiny breakfast area was very crowded, but they had an overflow room set up so it was ok.

Review 20：Bed was the best that I've slept in for awhile. The place was quiet considering we were across from the elevator and a wedding group were staying there too.

I still felt the intrusion by the staff, as we are out of the room. Yet, I am aware that if we have booked the same room for more than a day, that the cleaning staff does come in the room, even when we are away...

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was good size, clean and bed was comfortable. Loved the mini kitchen in the room (mini fridge, counter, sink, dishes etc) - was great with kids. Breakfast was better than most hotels I've stayed at. Will stay again.

Review 36：The internet connection went in and out and was a little frustrating. The double beds are true doubles, not queens. Our fridge, although helpful, was awkwardly placed next to the room door and difficult to open.

Review 37：The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for us. The breakfast was very good, and we enjoyed coffee being available throughout the day. It was helpful to have a washer and dryer available, and my husband enjoyed being able to purchase a beer at night.

We had a small family emergency during our stay and the General Manager Christian was so fantastic especially to my brother who had to rearrange his travel plans. The staff really work well as a team to ensure that guests enjoy their experience.

Review 40：I liked that our room attendees was very accommodating to me and my husband. It was our one year anniversary and our first stay here ever. She brought us champaign on ice with glasses even though we did not let them know ahead of time. We would have if we had known this service was available. First time stay so we did not know. However the lady at desk did not want to accommodate us because we did not let them know prior to our stay. Lady at the desk never smiled and actually made me feel u comfortable. However the rest of the stay experience was really nice so I will try this place again. Next time with our family. Thank you.

Review 41：Found the breakfast room small and congested. While it is very functional and attractive as a bar, it was awkward and not comfortable for breakfast.

Review 52：confusing at breakfast not large enough space - everyone is trying to grab a table dining room was opened up - but not clear at first that there was even available space - have a sign that says the dining room is open for people to eat - too cramped in lounge area , loud - too close together , once the dining room was available - pleasant to eat and have breakfast - even though continental breakfast ( which is very nice ) , reduce initial frustrating impression by having sign and staff state that the lounge and dining room are both available rather than trying to worry where you are going to sit

Review 54：The staff weren't that sensitive to our needs and because of it we missed our appointment. They offered to call for a cab for us, we went to check in quickly and when we came back down the hostess said she had been too busy to call. We had to wait for a cab again and were late to an appointment that we had to pay for. This was very disappointing.

Review 57：When we arrived we were informed that we had been upgraded to a housekeeping suite. The suite was far beyond our expectations or needs. It was well-equipped with dishes, utensils, full-size refrigerator, microwave & dishwasher as well as two televisions. Unfortunately we were unable to take advantage of these features as we were only there for one night & had already made arrangements for the evening. All in all, our stay was very enjoyable & we would return in a "heartbeat".

Review 61：Over booked shuttle from casino, driver un accommodating. We're asked to be unsafe and to be in an over filled van. Had to wait 1. Hour for a taxi. Even though we had a ticket for the shuttle. Pool hot tub and breakfast areas very small and breakfast sucked.

Review 86：This was a welcome change from the usual hotels in the area. All rooms are suites and although we had the smallest one, the kitchen was handy complete with dishes, microwave, toaster, fridge and coffee maker. Very quiet, couldn't hear other guests or traffic.

Review 89：The complimentary buffet breakfast is set up in the bar near the front desk. The coffee/tea, toaster and baked goods are all set up on the bar so guests are in each other's way trying to make their breakfast. A smaller table is set up on a different side of the room with yogurt, cereal, eggs, sausages and juice. The traffic in that small space on a Saturday morning is high and we noticed some guests getting annoyed. We got our breakfast before the rush so we were fine but that would be my only suggestion - to change the set-up for the buffet.

Review 119：The location is central to everything you want to explore. It is near the waterfront and quaint downtown shops. The waterfront is nearby and the entertainment at the Casino Rama is a short 15 minute drive. The rooms are very well appointed with a fireplace and comfy beds. Quiet and very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We are not a big fan of continental breakfast. All and all deserves a repeat stay.
