Reviews for Moonlight Resort

Review 1:It was little to far from the mainbeash and you haven't enywere to chill out in the sun after the beach.

Review 2:Good resort for the money you paid. The food was great And the people who worked over there was helpful and nice :)

Review 3:It would have been nice to get WiFi in the room but that wasn't a major issue. The room was on the warm side but we recognise that we had the option to upgrade to air con had we chosen to.

Review 4:We loved our stay here. The ladies were very friendly. The food was well priced and delicious - particularly the fresh mango juice, the camembert chicken and the homemade chips. The bed was kingsize and so comfy we could have stayed in it all day. The rooms themselves were beautifully decorated, really good sized with wardrobe and en suite (separate toilet and shower which was a nice touch). It's only 5mins walk to the main beaches. The price, which included an excellent breakfast, was extremely reasonable compared to what you get at other resorts for considerably more money!  Reflecting on some of the previous comments: when you book the room on booking.com it clearly says that tax is not included in the price you are quoted. Some people have obviously not read it properly. Unfortunately booking.com doesn't calculate that when it gives you the 'price to pay' but it does say tax to be added underneath. There are also both air con and fan options for each room. If when you arrive you choose air con instead of the fan, you will be charged extra. It really is that simple folks! We would definitely recommend this lovely place and stay again.

Review 5:A really nice resort with a smiling, polite staff. Nice rooms and good breakfast. Not far to the beach and they were in a child friendly area. We were two girls backpacking, but I could have stayed here if I were on a shorter holiday as well.

Review 6:The reservation does not say that we have to pay for one adult more for a double room when we arrive for what is a double room for a single person? .And that the air-con cost 600 pesos a day. I living in the PH now for 3 years. 30 times 600 is 18000. my electric bill was never over 6000 using air con every day and night. Road to the beach very long 20 min. no hot water in the shower only in the sink

Review 7:Staff very nice. thats all what is good

Review 8:When we got there we had to pay extra (around 500 pesos) without any reason. They told us te prices on Booking.com weren't correct. There were al kinds of musquito's, flies and crawling creatures in the room. The wifi didn't work. Also you have to walk quite far from the town to get there and at night there is no light so you have to bring a torch or use the light of your phone. We stayed in room 1, which is located next to a street on which all kinds motorbikes drive throughout the whole night, so you have no silence and no proper bedrest.

Review 9:Bathroom was clean

Review 10:Too bad you cant pay with your creditcard, something you can do in many other hotels on the island. Gives you the chanse to save some cash in your pocket since there are no ATM´s on the island. A bit noisy since many motorcycles honked at early hours

Review 11:Very helpful staff, nice hotel area

Review 12:A bit far from beach Bad advice when we asked for a dive-instructor (dangerous guy who were very unproffessional)

Review 13:Breakfast was quite good Nice rooms

Review 14:Air conditioning is not included in the price of my room.Little was stuffy with a fan. It is OK! 7 minutes on foot to the Bounty beach.

Review 15:Quiet, friendly staff, well-kept area.No insects in the room.Great hotel for a few days. I'm not picky.

Review 16:When I booked the room, it said "some rooms have A/C (subject to availability)". When I got there, I got one of the rooms with an A/C machine, but they refused to let me use it without paying more money. I complained and the owner just shrugged his shoulders, and the rest of the staff just laughed when I said I was going to complain. Now it seems that they have removed that description. The fan that was in the room was a miniature fan, and the room was an oven - most of the time, even at night it was much hotter in the room itself than outside. The WiFi was extremely slow. The room wasn't cleaned daily and there were ants crawling all over the place (thankfully not over the bed, though) The location is far away from the main beach and restaurants, barely indicated, and you have to walk quite a while along an unlit path to reach it.

Review 17:Cheap, but had I known all the problems I would have with it, I would have booked somewhere else

Review 18:The staff made my stay a wonderfull experince

Review 19:Poor food, try to cheat me for what I order

Review 20:Food, room, bed, staff

Review 21:the room and their wifi.

Review 22:the staff

Review 23:Too many mosquitos in room. Very overpriced.

Review 24:Big bed. Tea.

Review 25:Nothing what I didn't like

Review 26:Loved the strong and fast WIFI Loved the breakfast

Review 27:Great if you're on a budget. Just remember the VAT fee is not included when you book your stay, so the price may vary slightly when you come to pay.

Review 28:really nice, cozy place with a very warm family atmosphere. Away from the big tourist strip but close enough to get there in a few minutes if you want to.

Review 29:We've stayed at a much comfortable fan room than this. They shouldn't offer fan rooms at all. The walls absorb heat; plus the mosquitoes are a pain in the ***! Bring Off Lotion!

Review 30:It's affordable. Very friendly staff. Located at the northern part of Malapascua where there is more privacy and the sand is finer.

Review 31:Total lack of professionalism. Hotel would not accept credit card andinsisted that I pay cash in full immediately on arrival. There is no atmon Malapascua Island and the Receptionist suggested I travel to Bogo onCebu mainland to get cash from an atm... A round trip by ferry and busof at least 3 1/2 - 4 hours. In the end I refused to stay at thehotel after the second night and just paid for two nights, using thecash I had put aside for diving. Initially, it was not accepted and Iwas threatened with the police if I did not produce cash for the 3rdnight. When I told the receptionist to call them, she relented andaccepted payment for 2 nights. I also paid 500 pesos toward the 800pesos she claimed as being commission already paid to Booking.com. Isthis figure correct?? Booking.com should not be dealing with this hotel.

Review 32:Location and room.

Review 33:Room had an AIRCONDITIONER>>they would not turn it on..as I hadnot requested on line that it be turned on..I Offered to pay.cause itwas very hot..but NO...just one fan..did nothing..NO Credit cardacceptance..no ATM...anywhere in the city...and the attitude of thefront desk was ..heyits not our fault over all..too far from the townand the walk in at night was treacherous..completely DARK..no lights atall...to walk into town...NO Tv at all..or media..at all....verydissapointing stay....

Review 34:The room at the hotel was very nice.....modern fixtures.....andclean....double space for bath and shower...very good.....the staff attimes was fine....AT TIMES>>>>breakfast was also good..

Review 35:There was one staff who is not that hospitable.

Review 36:The newly renovated units. One to one staff to guest ratio.

Review 37:online promo is not clear!!!! fan room? airconditioned room?

Review 38:fair stay..

Review 39:Room not cleaned No card machine Miles away from anywhere Expensive for location Poor facilities

Review 40:No hot water in shower. The beach close to the resort was full of trash.

Review 41:Really beautiful and quiet place. Very nice stuff, and good food.

Review 42:Away from the beach and an unlit walk through the trees.

Review 43:Huge Bed. Very nice decor.
