Review 2：Amazing location and view plus the apartment had every amenity possible for our stay. Modern, clean, comfortable and a great host. Highly recommend!
Review 3：Little bit far away from town center. Avoid heavy luggage due to slope in town and no lift in apartment. Worry about security since door lock of balcony out of work.

Review 7：During the weekdays it might be very difficult to find a parking spot, especially a less expensive one. We were lucky to get a spot just next to the apartment, where spots were for free during the weekend.
Review 8：Incredibly helpful and well informed host :) We were informed about all the most interesting routes to take in the town and additional trips to the nearby islands. Apartment was super cosy, with well equipped kitchen (including microwave oven, coffee maker and dishwasher). We even had freshly gathered wildflowers left for us - a nice touch :)
Review 9：It was billed as having a balcony and sea view. There was no such view and a very small, dirty balcony. There was no dining table, despite being a huge apt. with six beds. No coffee maker or corkscrew in kitchen. The location was very noisy at night, with large groups of college students yelling in the streets until 3 AM.

Review 11：Not enough glasses, non-stick pots badly used (considered unsafe to use), not too clean, sink in the bathroom stuck, blankets too warm, setting of heating incomprehensible, whole area apparently undergoes renovation...

Review 13：Smoke alarm in the hallway was peeping all night because of low battery. Not suitable for those who have trouble with stairs. Difficult to find parking.

Review 18：We received a nice, spacious and cosy two-storey apartment and had a wonderful stay there. Recommend it to anyone staying in Ålesund. We stayed at one of the family apartments of Norhostel apartments. When we got to the checking address we got to know that the apartments are situated somewhere else (also in the city center) so this was not what we wanted to hear after a long journey. But they offered us a ride to the apartment which was very nice and comfortable.
Review 19：Satellite antenna was broken. Washing machine was broken. Dishwasher was broken. Kitchenware was random and thrown together (4 plates, 3 spoons, 6 glasses, 1 knife). A pity to see a potentially very nice apartment so little taken care of.

Review 21：Although the flat has been renovated, some bad planning is evident -E.G. there is no dining table at all, even though the room descriptionin booking.com says so. Also there was no clothes rack of cloth hangingline as promised. The flat and floor was cold, although it was June, andthere was only 1 electric heater in the living room and none in thebedroom. Only 1 teaspoon in cutlery. The outside of the building and thepassage leading to the apt. Is in dilapidated condition, like a hauntedhouse. Also, the address given in booking.com is that of Alesund hostel(where the reception is) and not the appt, which is further down theroad in Kipervikgata 32.
Review 22：The apartment condition was excellent, and for the price offered itdelivers max bang for the buck ! The kitchen was brand new with allartifacts as promised, and a generous assortment of cooking utensils.Rooms were very airy - as it is a refurbished old apartment, thecielings are high and gives feeling of space. My toddler also loved tobe in the flat. The bedroom had a double bed, and not 2 single beds likein many other apartments or studios. The recliner was very comfortable.
