Review 1：A little hard to find from the bus station but once you get there, it's ok.
Review 2：Breakfast was not bad. Location was near the Askla Hill. The hotel staff were quite friendly and helpful and provided directions on where to go and what to see.
Review 3：The only negative is that do not have lift, problem to carry heavy luggage up and down the narrow spiral staircase. Those are the drawbacks of typical old apartment !

Review 6：The beds were very comfortable and don't be fooled by the name "hostel" as we were provided with bed linen and towels! Very grateful for that. Wifi is very strong as well. Best part of the stay: free buffet breakfast which served very delicious slices of salmon amongst others.

Review 11：1. the toilet paper only rolls out one square at a time 2. the hot water runs out quickly 3. one of our hunk beds doesn't have a ladder. they actually expected us to climb up from the end of the bunk! ridiculous! 4.the shower drainage was overflooding, and water wasnt draining fast enough. Management's attitude was rude and unfriendly and didnt want to help us fix the drainage at first! service was terrible and our stay was the worst experience ever! i do not recommend other visitors to stay at this hostel.

Review 14：Our room had a kitchenette (cooktop and sink) but this was out of order and we weren't offered any compensation for this.
Review 15：Great location just a short walk to the harbour and right next to the steps to walk up Aksla hill. Public (paid) carpark is close by if you're driving. Well-equipped kitchen in the basement for cooking, also a good place to meet other travellers. Bed in the 4 person room was very comfortable and the shower was good too. I didn't actually eat the breakfast but I heard from others that it was more than sufficient. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

Review 22：We where there only for one night. To be honest we didn't know thatthere was a music fest that weekend so we booked the only room leftavailable in all Alesund. It was a room for 6 people. I sent them anemail requesting them to put us in a smaller room and to reduce theprice if posible. To our surprise they did just that but instead ofstaying in the Hostel we stayed in a newly renovated apartment a blockfrom the Hostel. Very friendly people received us.

The flat smelt terrible but it was roomy and the bathroom was new. The host at the hostel was very kind and didn't charge for the second night even though we left for a better hotel. When in Auldesund, don't go cheap. We got a luxury room for a few dollars more!

There is a lovely park opposite the hostel with a play area for young children. The facilities (kitchen, rooms, etc) are clean and adequate. Breakfast was very good.

Review 105：The office opens after 4pm. Between 10am and 4pm there is nobody in the office to help the guests. I mean it is OK they don't check in for the guests. But there should have somebody to help the traveler to store up the luggage at least.
Review 106：Cheking in starts only at 4 pm, and the reception may be closed untilthen - inconvenient when you arrive earlier. However, we were lucky thatthe receptionist arrived earlier and kindly checked us in before theofficial check-in time.

Review 110：The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave an excellent suggestion for one of the best coastal walks of our stay in Norway. Room was pleasant and clean. They allowed us to keep our luggage there and use the lounge area until our boat left at midnight on the day of our departure.
