Reviews for Tune Hotel klia2
Review 1:Did not appreciate staff member taking my phone to "put wifi password in" and going into my private photos on 3 occasions against my objections.
Review 2:Location was good and very comfortable room.
Review 3:It's quite noisy: not from the planes, but from other guests in the corridors. Not the hotel's fault but did mean I didn't get the sleep I was hoping for!
Review 4:Great location across from KLIA 2 so ideal for a one night stopover between flights Room was suitable for a one night stay - clean, good shower, etc.
Review 5:It's perfect if you fly out from KLIA 2 and want to be as close as possible to the airport...would come here again for this reason. Of course, it's an airport hotel, so don't expect too much in terms of comfort, space etc..
Review 6:The room was ok! The pictures are a bit misleading. There was some dust in the room so it wasn't the cleanest. Breakfast wasn't included. It would suit as an overnight stay for connecting flights.
Review 7:The hotel is located within walking distance from klia2, we had an unscheduled stop over in KUL so this was ideal for a late arrival and an early departure. They had a facility to checkin for an 'Air Asia' flight in reception.
Review 8:Nightmare to find from inside the terminal at KLIA2, plus a very minor point with the towels being wafer thin!
Review 9:Relatively clean & tidy, with very helpful staff
Review 10:The staff of the hotel do not allow to go with your baggage cart into the hotel lift, and they do not have alternative baggage transport, so you will carry all your stuff through long hotel corridors.
Review 11:You can put all your luggage on the free cart and go as far as the hotel entrance, also the opposite way - it is very convenient.
Review 12:Very confusingly/badly signed from the airport and a bit further away than we thought. Our room was not very well air conditioned, seemed to be stuck on 23 degrees.
Review 13:No frills, good value for what we needed - a bed for the night between flights.
Review 14:No Bar nor café as stated Poor and slow check in No leverage on late check out No meals or facilities on Site Noisy with people arriving at all hours Staff unfriendly and slow
Review 15:Location to Airport
Review 16:Arrived at 7 am after long flight and a 16 hr layover ahead of me and told couldn't check in until 2pm despite pre arranging early check in when booking. This is an airport hotel where rooms should be available at all times of the day. Very very disappointed and outraged. Never again.
Review 17:If you are expecting a good nights sleep think again, there was so much noise from other guests....kids up at 2am...people shouting to each other across hallway. No wake up call. Not even a complimentary bottle of water. Fan in room didn't work.
Review 18:Short close walk to hotel
Review 19:Well...where should I begin? 1) Parking is provided with hourly rate which is not reasonable to hotel customers since we will park overnight. The rate is RM2 per hour and RM36 per day. I will be happy if they at least gave some discount or rebate to hotel customers who drive there. I have to park along the road in front of the hotels and surprisingly a lot of the hotel customers did that too. 2) Unfriendly staff. When we reached the hotel and want to check in, the staff don't even smile, not to mention greetings. NONE!! Same when we return the card key, no THANK YOU of course and did I mentioned no smile? They keep chatting to each other, take the card key and that's it. You will not get more than that. It is because we are locals and we don't look classy or pretty enough? Maybe sounds bias but they seem to treat tourist better. Sorry if offended. 3) The price is much more expensive than other Tune Hotels I've ever been. Maybe because it is located in a prime area which is KLIA2. 4) I asked for airport view when I made my booking but I didn't get that during my stay. Maybe the rooms was fully booked but at night I saw that many rooms are dark which maybe people who stays in those rooms are sleeping all day or savings the electricity by not turning on the lights. Our room window are opposite with other rooms which people from higher rooms can see inside your rooms if you open the curtain considering we are girls. I am pretty sure people are not interested in peeping other people's room there. Okay. I think I better stop complaining now. *feeling sarcastic*
Review 20:The location besides KLIA2 is great since you can get anything and everything you need. Only 5 minutes walk and you already reached KLIA2.
Review 21:Bathroom was a bit grimey. No kettle. Booking.com price does not include tax, while others did. Would've been cheaper to book with other websites. Restaurants are only in main terminal. Only a 5 minute walk but when you're exhausted it's a bit of a pain.
Review 22:Excellent option if in transit - much better than uncomfortable chairs. Good air conditioning. Decent wifi (struggled with Skype though). Fan and air con. Two multicountry plugs in the wall. Short walk to the departure area. 7-11 just next door which only takes cash.
Review 23:Beds are too short - I am not especially tall. People down the hall were noisy alll night. Not ideal - but probably good enough for a few hours rest.
Review 24:Clean and well organised. Close enough to the main KLIA2 terminal and away from transport noise.
Review 25:Frustrated and short tempered staff. Very small rooms and no option for family to stay together. We had to book two rooms.
Review 26:Location moderately convenient, but difficult to locate for inexperienced traveller. Beds were very comfy.
Review 27:cleanliness of room is fine but the cleanliness of the toilet and shower is not very pleasant, and in the shower it is very hard for me to even place my mini travel pack shower gel as it drops every time i try to place them at the provided area
Review 28:convenient
Review 29:It was a very dirty place, it seems nobody take care of cleaning the floor and bathroom and room in general. We hope the inly clean stuff in the room were the sheets, at least we hope they were clean........
Review 30:Nothing really
Review 31:Didn't have a mini fridge so had to go to the 7eleven (which was downstairs near the foyer) for cold water.
Review 32:It is in walking distance from the airport. It was very clean. Great shower. Rooms are perfect for an overnight stay between flights.
Review 33:The check in time is at 1400hrs, I have to pay extra if I want to check in early. It doesn't make sense because basically customer will arrive early in the morning. No toiletries, I mean I paid $100 just for A DAY nd it doesn't worth the money because it's not a 5 star hotel though.
Review 34:Th bedroom was comfortable. There's a convenient store 24/7, near to the airport and the hotel is very clean! The WiFi works well.
Review 35:very expensive for hotels of such level aircon drops water right of the center of the room sink is leaking, water goes right on your feet sink's water mixer was broken, so I had to open it for water very carefully.
Review 36:Convenient place if you want to spent a night, while waiting for a next flight.
Review 37:The power cut.... Even though I caused it, you should be able to plug in a kettle! We need tea!
Review 38:Great place, right outside KLIA 2. Everything you need, except for tea.....
Review 39:Too expensive, no restaurants (need to go to the airport or 7/11 next doors)
Review 40:Great wifi, clean, superb location if you need to stay near the airport, quiet despite the fact that it's next to one of the busiest airports in Asia..
Review 41:English on front desk not great for international airport, given wrong information about storage which they do offer. 5ringetts a piece. Link from Airport little confusing and not thought out. Hallways very drab indeed in contrast to smart foyer.
Review 42:Obviously very well located. Room does the job.
Review 43:Hard to find the way from KLIA2 arrival hall for transit passengers.
Review 44:Efficient, comfortable and value for money. Staff helped us to move baggage to and fro from the room. The 24/7 seven/eleven shop had tasty snacks.
Review 45:Very noisy. You can here everything that is going on in the corridor on your floor. Poor state of rooms. Does not look like that the bed linings are very thoroughly cleaned
Review 46:It is attached to the airport
Review 47:Very handy when you have to spend a short night in between two flights. Easy access, fast check in, basic comfortable room, mini mart open in premises. Well thought.
Review 48:Hotel is ideal for overnight stay but probably wouldn't be suitable for longer stay.
Review 49:Ideal location if you need an overnight stay at KLIA2 between flights. KL express is handy and its just 30 mins to KL central and 5 mins to KLIA. Very good value.
Review 50:Everything else. The front desk doesn't seem to know anything, the customer support is horrible, the room is pretty shabby. I don't think the aircon works, I'm not sure if I'm suppose to pay extra for it after paying so much for a few hours.
Review 51:It's right beside KLIA 2, the bed is quite comfortable.
Review 52:Very basic hotel good for a one night stay but no more than that, fan didn't work in my room
Review 53:I liked how it was so close to the airport very convenient if you have a stop over in kl2, 7eleven is just there which was good
Review 54:It was a little difficult to find the first time since there are no signs in the airport. After asking a few people I found it.
Review 55:It was clean , comfortable and convenient . I liked the IKEA like decor. I plan on recommending it and staying there again myself.
Review 56:booking .com reports it as accepting Amex. The desk clerk just said no. The clerk seemed surprised when I asked for a receipt and kept me standing at the desk for 10 minutes while he served other people. I got the impression he was waiting for me to give up and go without it. As i had just walked the green mile with a very sore and swollen ankle to get there I didnt appreciate the wait. Instructions to find the hotel are non existent . I spoke to another aussie on the plane the next day who told me he had booked there but after taking forever to get there he was told they had no booking were full. so i guess some people like it . I certainly wont be going back. Also the lifts only worked intermittently and the desk staff were totally unconcerned about that. Usr the stairs was the helpfull suggestion.
Review 57:Clean room comfortable bed.
Review 58:Hard to find. Go to basement of KLIA2, dodge the buses and it is visible from terminal.
Review 59:very close to KLIA2. A 5 min walk. The best part is you have to pass NZ Curry House in the basement of KLIA2 which is good food and very cheap.
Review 60:Doors and walls are very thin, making it hard for a light sleeper like myself to rest properly. Even whilst wearing ear plugs I could clearly hear guests outside in the concrete corridor, opening and closing doors, as well as in their rooms. Floor was dirty and bed sheets were stained. Be prepared for queues at reception as they appear to run the operation light on staff.
Review 61:Location is within walking distance from KLIA2. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean.
Review 62:Bathroom was small and dirty
Review 63:Very close to airport. Really just 5 minutes away. Friendly staff. Even though next to airport, very calm with no engin noise
Review 64:An air purifier/freshener would be good as it was obvious the previous guest had been smoking in the bathroom
Review 65:I've stayed before and find Tune to be all I need for a rest between flights. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Review 66:It's noisy. And it's dirty.
Review 67:If and only if you are in transit at KLIA2, you close your eyes - both literally and figuratively - and sleep in this "hotel".
Review 68:The distance to the hotel from the airport was much longer than I expected. I arrived in KL at 11:00pm and my next flight was at 6:00am. I needed a place to rest and refresh between the flights. By the time I got to the hotel it was already after midnight. Upon entering the lobby a saw an enormous line of guests waiting for check-in. Another hour of waiting in line, and I finally got to a very filthy room with no amenities, no toiletries apart from the soap, dirty sheets that were not even changed after the previous guests and cockroaches all over the walls. After all this walking, searching for the hotel, waiting in line for check-in, I had only 2 hours at the hotel before going back to the airport to catch my next flight. Horrendous experience. Would never recommend it to anyone.
Review 69:There was nothing about this hotel that I liked. I booked it only because the Sama Sama Express had no availability for that night.
Review 70:The express rail link helps to link both KLIA and KLIA 2 terminals within minutes and Sepang Tune Hotel is an ideal place to take rest or to take a break when traveling long distance especially connecting flights in the wee hours.
Review 71:THERE IS NO WATER TO DRINK IN THE ROOM AND THAT IS BASIC, there is a Seven Eleven next to the hotel and they don´t accept credit card and dolars. And there is no cash machine, so you have to go to the airport to buy some drink.
Review 72:It´s perfect to stay just one night before taking another flight. In the Klia2 Mall Center (next to the hotel, 5 minutes walking) there are restaurants and supermarket.
Review 73:The bathroom had an unpleasant smell. The climate control was difficult to control so we were either hot or cold. The bathroom was in a state of disrepair: the soap dish was coming off the wall, the toilet seat was loose, the sink faucet was extremely loose and in danger of becoming disconnected, the sink drained very slowly, water started pouring out of the wall under the sink and running across the floor. There were tiny red ants on the bed and side tables. There was no phone to contact the front desk regarding anything much less the problems. If we had been scheduled to stay more than one night, we wouldn't have. Really just basic upkeep.
Review 74:Location and price
Review 75:Staff was very unflexible. We asked for room change, our room the bed was very small and it was dirty. Change was not possible because we already paid for the room. It was only possible to change if we made a new reservation and then paid again. We tried and gave up, tired from our travels we went to sleep. Overal poor service and cleaning even though it is not a expensive hotel you at least expect a clean room.
Review 76:Location directly at airport and price.
Review 77:Direction to the hotel from the airport is challenging if you are not at the right exit.
Review 78:Excellent location if you are in transit in KLIA 2 or you arrive early in the morning.
Review 79:dirty! humid! air-conditioning was a disgrace! No water and no breakfast. 7/11 only takes cash. So noisy in the corridor due to the air-conditioning ! Awful place.
Review 80:The easy access to klia2
Review 81:The power was shut off 20 minutes before check out time and the cleaning staff just barged in while my wife was in the shower. It would be better if there was some leeway and time for us to pack up.
Review 82:The location of the hotel is good for travelers who want a spot of luxury in between travel.
Review 83:A lot o noise (slapping doors and shouting) during the evening and night from people leaving and arriving. Hard bed. Leaking fountain, suddenly the water was not going down in the sink and then there was water coming out of the wall underneath the sink.
Review 84:Location, but some signing in the big area would be good. All looks new and fresh, airco on the room
Review 85:not clean! A bit disgusting 10 min to wait long queue at reception Bed too small if you are more than 1m70
Review 86:Close to klia2 (but of course not kuala lumpur msint terminal) Silent and calm
Review 87:There was no floor mat outside bathroom.
Review 88:Location,Very responsive staff, maintainance came to fix blocked sink and bathroom within five minutes. You can carry luggage trolley till hotel front, covered walkway.
Review 89:It could have been sign posted better with more signs inside the terminal (I saw just two and the route isn't obvious)
Review 90:Location was beside the terminal is very convenient if staying in KL only to connect
Review 91:Room was very small, very basic. 7-Eleven downstairs only takes cash (in the local currency), which is ridiculous for a shop catering to international guests on a layover.
Review 92:Great location, right next to the enormous shopping mall that's KLIA2. Nice to have a ceiling fan as an optional alternative to air conditioning. Hot & cold water dispenser was also appreciated.
Review 93:Just what you're looking for in an airport hotel. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, easy check in and check out, super close to the airport and easily walkable. You can even check in for your flight in the hotel reception. Not super flashy but for a night before or after a flight it's great.
Review 94:Need to provide at least toothpaste.
Review 95:very near to KLIA2. really easy to go to the airport. within walking distance only. the room is beautifully decorated and design.
Review 96:Very basic room, no thrills. It was a little pricey for what you get. Also you could hear people in the halls and it smelled in the rooms. No breakfast included either.
Review 97:The location was great for long layovers or early morning connections. It is less than a 5 minute walk from airport entrance.
Review 98:Room and bed were very small. Wasn't expecting a large room being a transit hotel, though a queen size bed would have been nice
Review 99:Excellent and friendly staff and efficient service
Review 100:No iron in d room.usage of money to use the iron is so unacceptable.moreover the machine cannot use new syiling. I try to change at the 7E but the bangla did not alowed
Review 101:Barest necessities, almost non-existence!! Bathroom only equipped with a small bar of soap and a small tube of shampoo. Doesn't even have glasses for gargling. No table to put your stuff ,hence I was literally living out of my luggage. For rm 200++ this is dismal.Bath towels thread bare. Also extension should be charged by smaller blocks since hotel caters to transit passengers. Charges for carpark is also exorbitant for hotel guests.
Review 102:Location is good if one is in transit and requires a bed to sleep.
Review 103:Unfortunately both Air Asia self checkin booths weren't working whenwe were hoping to use them
Review 104:Efficient checkin and checkout. Room was clean and we certainly got ourmoney's worth. 3 min walk from airport. Hotel provides airportarrival and departure board, as well as Air Asia self checkin.
Review 105:Restaurant/bar was closed for some reason. Since my last visit the hotel now charges for bags left with them before check in, which is not a good thing, and the receptionist was very offhand about it.
Review 106:Very convenient for the airport
Review 107:Would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea in the room but no electric jug, tea bags or sugar.
Review 108:So close to the airport - raining heavily when we got there and all undercover and a very short walk to get to the hotel.
Review 109:the beds are too small. I m not a tall person but had to spend the night with my feet hanging over the end. The counter staff were very rude and have no conflict resolution skills.
Review 110:location
Review 111:One of my bath towel got few hole anyway it fine for me as no time to change it bcos of our time constraint and it early in the morning which we don't have much time to rest.
Review 112:Near to my transfer flight for early check in.
Review 113:Pre-visit access is terrible. I tried changing my booking through B.com and that didn't work and so I tried to phone the hotel and they never answered the phone over 2 day period
Review 114:We like the convenience of being at the airport, especially one of us had only 3 hours instead of 6 because of AA flight issues
Review 115:Location Very close to air port But better to stay out side because no taxi there and you will take taxi from air port. No Fraser No phone
Review 116:Location Very close to air port Trolley available to air port
Review 117:No restaurant no bar no facilities
Review 118:1 minute by covered walkway from KLIA2 - 10/12 minutes from KLIA by walk to KLIA2 then 3 minutes to KLIA by express train.
Review 119:Definitely could get a better room with that sort of price in the city. No breakfast nor an electric kettle was provided. No complimentary mineral water for the hotel guest. Wall is dirty. Wifi extremely slow.
Review 120:Nothing except for the location which is near to KLIA2
Review 121:They dont have wakeup call service in airport hotel..!!!!!! Impossible to believe it. IS A MUST....
Review 122:Stop over in Klia?? Then Tune hotel very good solution.
Review 123:No restaurant - the old Tune at LCCT had a nice restaurant. Need to go back to the airport for a place to eat. Signage to the Tune from the terminal is not good.
Review 124:Close to the terminal - best place (only place) to stay for overnight.
Review 125:THE ROOM IS VERY COZY N SMALL.... U CAN BARELY MOVE INSIDE THE ROOM, JUST SIT ON UR BED ..........
Review 126:STAFF IS GOOD, ITS NEAR TO THE AIRPORT IS VERY CONVENIENCE FOR THE EARLY FLIGHT PASSENGER
Review 127:Room was too small for 2 people. Toilet was also small. The elevator was not really working well. Sometimes the housekeeping ajummas ignore the "do not disturb" sign. Better lock all your bags and stuffs before leaving your room.
Review 128:Staffs was excellent. Bed was comfortable.
Review 129:Very slow and long queues to check in and I arrived at 11pm as well, no coffee or tea facilities although they charge enough, the last thing you want to do in the morning is look for a cup of coffee, management should look into this.
Review 130:Location when you arrive from a long flight and just need a rest.
Review 131:None - very basic and no character, but this is normal in an airport hotel.
Review 132:A standard airport hotel - great for late arrivals with early connections and on time to get into KL city. Adequate facilities, good 7-11 shop downstairs for a beer/essentials. Efficient staff good value. But why would you spend more than 1 night there???
Review 133:The first room we got smelt strongly of cigarette smoke, the room they changed us to was better. The 7/11 in the lobby didn't accept card, only cash which for an airport hotel seemed strange as travellers on a short stop over wouldn't have cash.
Review 134:Easy walk to the airport for an early flight.
Review 135:No water in the room. Everywhere you stay in Asia at this price provides a bottle of water. Think it is very very poor not to give you water.
Review 136:Good transit hotel. 7 / 11 adjacent to reception - snack and drinks bAir Asia have it sewn up.
Review 137:No face towel or tissue which are part of the basic facilities A kettle to bail water or bag of coffee or tea with creamer will be nice.
Review 138:Close to the airport for just a transfer for overnight stay.
Review 139:Bed shorter than normal - feet overhang the end (wife who is 5' 6" complained) Only two pillows (one each - some people need more than one pillow) and no room service personnel (no phone in room so have to go downstairs to ask reception) to request (unsucessfully) for more pillows. Aircon is not cold and noisy (surprising for a new hotel) Towels are very very thin Poor noise insulation (none - can hear people as they walk down the long corridor)) Price is equivalent to a good downtown hotel. Certainly not "budget". Its association with AirAsia should not be associated with "budget" travel. Would not stay here again even if I have to travel further to get to a hotel.
Review 140:location quick checkin
Review 141:1. No flexibility in terms of booking changes 2. the tel no. shown on the website was not been attended.
Review 142:It is near to the airport, its walking distance
Review 143:It was a little confusing at first trying to find where the hotel was. Also the onsite cafe/bar only had 2 curry puffs and a sandwich for sale when we went in at 4pm and nothing is made fresh on site.
Review 144:Good Air conditioning and Ceiling Fan, Great Location just outside KLIA2 via a walkway.
