Reviews for Ramada Cedar City

Review 1:It was hard to find due to the ramada sign was in a hard place to see. You could have put a ramada sign to cover the crytal inn big sign. Our bed was tilted to the head board we guess it had been broken.

Review 2:It was pet friendly.

Review 3:Was a little hard to find. Must of just been bought by Ramanda. Sign had different name on it with Ramanda under it.

Review 4:Beds were very comfortable. Also nice pillows. Room was a nice size. Seemed very clean. Breakfast was nice and good variety. Plenty of places to eat that were close.

Review 5:This was the fourth attempt at breakfast. The continental breakfast again was not great. The eggs were watered down and the eggs were sitting in water in the warmer. This was a complete turnoff.

Review 6:Location, staff and beds were great.

Review 7:The breakfast is horrible!!! And they need to be more organized in regards to the rooms bring cleaned prior to sending you off to your room to walk in and see it needs to be cleaned. Totally unhappy with these two issues. I have cancelled future reservations. I will be staying elsewhere

Review 8:I've stay at this property when it was Crystal Inn and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it! The beds are comfy.

Review 9:The bed sheets had hair weaves into them and stains on the pillowcases. I read lots of excellent and good reviews of this hotel, and they were all wrong! The pillows and beds were so uncomfortable. They've probably never ever been replaced. The tub had hair in it. The toilet moved when you'd sit on it. And we could hear the people above us peeing into their toilet.

Review 10:The lobby was big and looked clean.

Review 11:The bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. It was a little annoying that the clock was set wrong and I couldn't change it. The towel racks were broken. The room was outdated.

Review 12:The jetted tub. The size of the room.

Review 13:The place was a little run down for Ramada. They were disorganized and checking in took over 20 minutes. I didn't appreciate being called after 1000 pm by the front desk about the pet fee when i already had discussed it with them at check in and they had told me I could pay it in the morning.

Review 14:The woman at the front desk was friendly. The breakfast was good.

Review 15:There was ice in the parking lot and I had driven from southern California and did not have my slip resistent shoes handy so it was a bit treacherous.

Review 16:Wow, where do I start? They had decorated a very beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby, there's a sauna, pool, and hot-tub, including attached restaurant. The real amazement came when I entered my room and it was like a suite! There was a full bath, sofa, Direct TV, super fast free WiFi, comfy-comfy bed, etc. Charity at the front desk was one of the absolute nicest, best front desk person I have ever met! And by the way, I have stayed at many hotels in my life!!

Review 17:A man was in front of our room for two hours on the phone and smoking the front desk would not send anyone to ask him to leave after I had already asked him and he refused.

Review 18:The morning breakfast

Review 19:Lobby and exterior seemed a bit desolate and dicey. Almost drove away when I saw it , but since it was clear that there was a transfer of ownership so I decided to give it a chance. Turned out to be a nice clean room.

Review 20:Roommate clean and bed was comfortable. Nice pillows and linens.

Review 21:Toilet was broken in 109 we were moved to 111 which was fine.

Review 22:was old crystal inn property which got really run down and needs a lot of upgrades.whitch will probably happen soon. Coldnt find it in dark as no signs were lit up. The front of bldng was not lit up. Chk in procedures were not established or understood by staff. front desk was helpfull and apologetic but strggled with new procedures. Rate was fair for conditions. Could be very nice with upgrades which are sorely needed.

Review 23:Found out that Crystal Inn sold to Ramada Inn. A front door was laying against the inside of the entrance. Floor inside hotel dirty. No longer a good breakfast. Powdered eggs, machine ran out of waffle mix, one machine out of order. When I put in a mix, which when mix running out, the waffle came out black, not burnt but something on it. Management refunded $5, would rather have had edible breakfast. Bed was just raw mattress with a sheet on top, trash was still in wastebasket. Stayed when traveling for years, never again.

Review 24:Staff if pleasant

Review 25:We booked this hotel because it had a restaurant but upon arrival learned the restaurant had been closed for a year. We booked and paid for a King Bed but were given two Queens. The hotel is in transition to Ramada and it kinda run down. The hotel is a long way from most services.

Review 26:There is a Sinclair SERVICE station next door that has quality personnel.

Review 27:We didn't know it was in transition from being a Crystal Inn. It looked abandoned when we arrived and found out the restaurant had been closed for a year despite what was advertised. Our room was dusty and very stale smelling. When I told the front desk about the dust they said it hadn't been occupied in a long time. I guess they didn't think it was important to clean the room before putting a guest in it. The bed was hard and uncomfortable.

Review 28:The only positive thing I can say is they did have the restaurant open for breakfast.

Review 29:The hotel had been bought by Ramada a few days before our arrival and they were still working out the bugs. Much of the staff had left with the buyout and they initially did not have our room ready. However, the staff was still cleaning rooms at 8 pm and were able to get the room (a king) ready. It just meant check in took longer than it should have.

Review 30:Easy access to interstate. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Great price. Would stay again.

Review 31:The room seemed dirty & old with torn areas on beds. Noisy because late nite talkers outside. No lift for my elderly mother. But was able to get ground floor room. After a period of several minutes waiting All these things aren't terrible but added to not so good stay for a "ramada inn " expection.

Review 32:The desk clerk Zoe

Review 33:They are going thru a transition of ownership waited 30 min for computer to register the booking then they could not honour the King bed booking and offered no reduction for the inferior room. Also the state of the room was very average.Breakfast was average.

Review 34:Foyer and location

Review 35:The mattress is needed to be updated

Review 36:The breakfast was good and included in the price of the room and the comforters on the bed where really nice and so were the pillows it also had a coffee pot in the room and in the lobby and it was close to downtown and Cedar Breaks

Review 37:Staff was super-helpful, especially restaurant recommendation.. Housekeeping did a great job. Walking distance from the festival. Bed and pillows comfortable

Review 38:Room was very large. It was nicely decorated and had a large Flat Screen television. All furnishing were comfortable and in Great condition. Free breakfast buffet was First Rate!!!

Review 39:I'd only say that when people come and go, the doors closing do echo in the hallways. Voices are also somewhat audible through the walls/floors. That's pretty much par, though, not a huge issue.

Review 40:Enjoyed a very comfortable bed. The staff was outstanding. The included breakfast could have stood some eggs, but the cook explained the way they rotated things.

Review 41:We booked this hotel in part because it was advertised as having a restaurant in the hotel, which we thought would be great b/c we were arriving at dinner time. However, when we arrived we learned that the restaurant had not renewed the lease. They did have breakfast in the morning, but it was pretty gross.

Review 42:I liked the room and the fact that it had a microwave and fridge in the room.

Review 43:Breakfast ended at 9AM, The Crystal Inn in St George went into until 10 AM. The extra hour was great, after being up late to see the Shakespear Plays, and you are on vaction, who wants to get up early to eat breakfast. Other than than that, everything was great!!!

Review 44:Good location, close to I-15.

Review 45:The bathroom fan continuously in the "on" position was extremely annoying. We will not return to this property.

Review 46:Staff was great. Room was clean.

Review 47:Had to have breakfast before 9AM. No light on the ceiling in the room. Room keys stopped working halfway through our stay. Directed to a restaurant for dinner that had stopped serving before we even left the hotel by the front desk.

Review 48:After a long drive from Grand Canyon and through Bryce Canyon (we stopped in between) it was a great pleasure for the adults and the kids to jump in the swimming pool. Very comfortable beds, the breakfast is good enough and the staff is very nice. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

Review 49:breakfast can definitely be improved, some staff were not pleasant, pool should be more private

Review 50:vey comfrotanble bed and pillow, coonvenient and quiet location, quietness and conveneint room, some of the staff were friendly and helpful

Review 51:The hot tub is awkward and indoors. My son lost an item in the lobby restroom and the staff member told us there was no lost and found. We later found out there is and that was a little frustrating.

Review 52:Comfy beds, nice pool, overall a decent stay.

Review 53:Josh at breakfast was a Rock Star. I also appreciated the 'reading room' on the 2nd floor. I used it while my daughter was getting the grandchild to sleep.

Review 54:Going for a walk in the morning, we had to cross some busy roads before getting to residential areas that were nice to walk in.

Review 55:Variety of items available for breakfast. We loved the noon check-out time.

Review 56:The front desk people lost my reservation and some how made it my problem. The excerise room was joke. One working machine (TV doesn't even work).

Review 57:The pool.

Review 58:There are no blinds or net curtains so that you fully have to pull the curtains to have privacy on the ground floor. A simple thing to put right and save money. No orange juice at breakfast nor any staff to help. Breakfast very poor. I was kept awake by the sprinkler system coming on in the middle of the night - in the middle of a drought!!

Review 59:Hotel poorly maintained. In our 2-day stay we encountered multipleexamples of problems (dining area upholstery worn out and tables wobbly;plumbing in room not securely attached to wall, lock mechanism infitness area broken, water dispenser in fitness room overflowing, roomclock-phone display broken, etc.). Breakfast food was ok at best.

Review 60:Rooms were clean. Convenient for Shakespeare festival.

Review 61:Staff not interactive with guests. Staff roomed family with kids adjacent when they arrived at 1:30am. Noise level was rediculous. No elevator for second floor so moving items required too many trips. Kitchen non existance. Need to remove photo from brochure. Kitchen closed and being operated by janitor to prepare "free breakfast". Dining room was in crazy disarray. This was not as advertised

Review 62:Not much.

Review 63:The free breakfast was so-so. They didn't have eggs and it was a "hot breakfast".

Review 64:Very friendly staff. Convenient location to freeway, restaurants and other attractions. Older hotel but still clean.

Review 65:The breakfast was mediocre. Not much cereal selection . Eggs a bit rubbery. More variety would be better.

Review 66:The room was really clean , bed comfortable. Hotel was quiet .

Review 67:Older style

Review 68:The room was clean. Breakfast was great. The service was great lots of staff asking if we needed anything and clearing tables. Pool was nice. Outdoors however which was ok since it was summer but would've been bummed otherwise. I was surprised by the lower level being a motel style. Where you pull up to your door. But it was nice. We were traveling across country with our family with lots of bags. So less carrying.

Review 69:Reserved second-floor room but was not told that there was no elevator till arrival.

Review 70:The hot breakfast was fabulous: waffles, sausages, hash browns, two kinds of scrambled eggs, plus bagels, bread, doughnuts, yogurt, and many other items.

Review 71:The breakfast was poor with dirty plates, dishes and cutlery, all had to be wiped clean before use. The breakfast staff were unkempt and treated you as an inconvinience, they certainly don't enjoy their work ( at least you get that impression )

Review 72:There are no handicapped doors available anywhere on the grounds. Requested a handicapped room because my mother is legally blind was our room 160 would be, in fact it was not. Also requested the other two families rooms we travled with but next to ours. That didn't happen either. At check in the gentleman told me they were and showed me on a map. Once everyone checked in we were all split up in rooms 160, 259, and 122.

Review 73:The complementary break buffet was decent.

Review 74:only stayed one night and no problems arose in that time.

Review 75:just as title says it was comfy and the breakfast was a cut above what I was expecting for the price! Great stay.

Review 76:The fact that the second floor has no elevator. Should tell guests when we reserve a room.

Review 77:Locarno was convenient. Could not sleep well on the bed. Just ok for me.

Review 78:The bed, I have a sleep number bed so regular mattress wreck me.

Review 79:Friendly staff and convenience of the location to interstate 15. Outstanding breakfast! They just had a nice friendly chef take over the kitchen, wow! He did a good job of preparation not to mention he was Johnny on the spot if you had any requests.

Review 80:A DVD player is part of the TV/Satellite system and had an indecipherable 44 button remote. No instructions...A call to the front desk yielded a promise to find the instructions or a call back. Neither happened. HVAC had a problem.

Review 81:Very good breakfast facility. Big crystal sugar is something you don't see often. Nice exercise area.

Review 82:The cook responsible for the breakfast goes out if his way to make ordinary things very appealing and tasty. Adding Rosemary and garlic to the potatoes, spinach and cheese to the eggs were two special touches. They have a nice conference center, perfect for business meetings. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Review 83:rooms were "clean" on first sight, but not on touch. Furniture was covered with dust, refridgerator was moldy. Breakfast was a big surprise. Bread was old, dishes were dirty, we couldn't find any clean spoon. Dining room was dirty.

Review 84:good location, accomodation could be perfect if owners would hire the cleaning staff

Review 85:Breakfast ist ok, over average, porcelaindished, but still so much garbage...

Review 86:Very clean and big rooms, goof furnature, Aircondition modern and not too loud, many TV-channels, good Pool, Parking in front of the rooms, very nice staff.

Review 87:They transfered money immediately after the booking (2 months before the trip!) although it was a booking with a cancel free of charge

Review 88:A breakfast was good. A room was pretty clean and nice.

Review 89:Had slight problem with internet connection. Would have liked a bigger tv. But tv wasnt horrible.

Review 90:Very clean room. Staff was incredible. Size of room was nice.

Review 91:Breakfast was ok but plastic scrambled egg was awful

Review 92:It was clean and comfortable. Parking was available. Gym and pool facilities were good. Staff ready to please

Review 93:Coffee maker did not work in one room. Few healthy breakfast items (no non-fat milk). Staff messed up with Booking.com reservation not recognizing two rooms were booked which took a bit of time to streighten out with Booking.com Problem was with hotel not Booking.com

Review 94:Convenient, clean and good value with special deal offered through Booking.com ($63.99/night for king).

Review 95:My biggest was disappointment was the hotel did not have a restaurant as it had advertised on its website. Frustrating, as I had chosen this hotel because I didn't want to drive anywhere for dinner after I had arrived.

Review 96:Good location, clean rooms and friendly staff.

Review 97:Hard to connect to wi-fi. We spent over 20 minutes trying to get it to work.

Review 98:Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Nice location in a small, college town. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 99:The pillows were uncomfortable, but other than that we were happy with everything.

Review 100:The guy in charge of breakfast was friendly and kind. He was the best thing about Crystal Inn and Suites.

Review 101:Could be cleaner.

Review 102:Very pleased with our stay. Beds were comfy and staff was great. Kids loved the heated pool. Breakfast buffet was awesome. We got a great deal and would stay again if we are ever in the area and need a hotel.

Review 103:Room was dirty, lighting poor, front door didn't shut tight, you could see day-light coming thru on all sides. Hate the door opening to the outside. Noisy

Review 104:The extra bathroom counter in main room.

Review 105:My key didn't let me access the hall closest to my room, but thankfully someone was walking by and let me.

Review 106:The hotel was really nice. The bed was wonderful. The breakfast was superb.

Review 107:They seem to place travellers with pets in smoking rooms but will accommodate you with non smoking if you request.

Review 108:Spacious facility with good sized rooms Nice hot breakfast buffet

Review 109:Busload of kids on my floor, but they moved me to a new room as soon as I asked for assistance.

Review 110:Newer room, great accommodations, clean, great hot breakfast.

Review 111:The common areas were very dirty There was no elevator so we had to carry our heavy luggage to the 2nd floor The hotel is very dated and could do with being upgraded

Review 112:The bed was comfortable The staff were helpful

Review 113:After having such satisfaction with the motel, the breakfast was not good at all. Potatoes were cold & rubbery, and in general nothing looked appetizing. Very disappointed.

Review 114:Cleanliness, courtesy of staff, appearance of everything.

Review 115:We had one problem and that was the tv kept turning off and then coming back on. We mentioned it to the front desk but it wasn't dealt with.

Review 116:The location was good. Right next to the Frwy. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Review 117:Rooms are dated and the breakfast area was a bit sticky.

Review 118:Location was good and breakfast had a lot of choices. Staff was friendly and helpful.Good price for what you get. Many places to eat in the area and good shopping choices.

Review 119:The breakfast, the restaurant and pub is very old and in need of serious updating. Coffee machine kept breaking down and the coffee was terrible. No cream for coffee.

Review 120:Perfect location for site-seeing, easy access off the highway and close to restaurants. A little dated and could use an upgrade. If you are just using it to sleep and shower, it's perfect.

Review 121:Breakfast was poor and messy (no fruits, lack of variety) shocking compared to the rest of the hotel facilities.

Review 122:Location when on route to somewhere. Pool, pleasant room

Review 123:At check-in i discovered that they delete the reservation without any reason. They gave me a smoking room, that was really disgusting, but we didn't have any other choice. The day after i spoke with manager and he said that he never received my reservation from Booking.com but it's strange because 6 month before he checked my credit card, and i have proof of it. Moreover when i took the receipt i found my old address, only Booking.com had this not updated address. Stay away from this hotel.

Review 124:The plastic cups in the bathroom and restaurant cheapened the stay. Having china cups would have been much nicer, particularly as there were normal plates and dishes. Putting the coffee maker in the bathroom is very odd.

Review 125:It was easy to get to from route 15. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good.

Review 126:We had to endure loud fireworks until 1AM, due to some Mormon holiday, which we were not made aware of upon arrival. Left the next morning as tired as when we arrived.

Review 127:Breakfast bar has noticeably declined from previous visits - food selection was spotty from day to day over four days; hot food serving vessels had broken hinges; depleted items were not promptly refilled; a large group of young girls (30 ???) staying at the hotel all arrived for breakfast at the same time one morning for whom there was not adequate seating or food, complicating the meal for those patrons who were already there. Self service plates, bowls, and silverware were not conveniently located near the food. (We mentioned this to the staff, and they promptly moved the service-ware next to the food. The following morning everything had been moved back to the less-convenient location!) We have stayed here many times over the past 20 years - it has suddenly become somewhat dated. We visit Cedar City twice a year every year for the Utah Shakespeare Festival. In the future we will move to the newer facilities on the south end of town.

Review 128:Breakfast had limited choices, with tasteless steam table eggs and greasy sausages. Housekeepers did not clean room one day, and did not change the sheets during our 5 night stay, in spite of being asked to do so.

Review 129:Quiet, beds good. Location fairly good.

Review 130:The room was very noisy due to the fridge that buzzed extremely loudly and the airco. Also during weekdays breakfast ends at 9 which means you have to get up early on your holiday.

Review 131:Nice staff, clean, fridge and microwave in the room and hot breakfast with waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage and hash brown

Review 132:Breakfast ends to early, by 9:00 all cleaned up. We are on vacation.

Review 133:We had a good time, but were unable to use most of the facilities but we were happy with our stay. We did eat at the restaurant Bards and it was very good.

Review 134:TV needed to be reprogrammed. Faux was the only channel available I room 146..

Review 135:Good bed!

Review 136:door could not be closed properly

Review 137:great value, good breakfast, clean

Review 138:The staff was awesome and very friendly love the gentleman from Paris France very helpful and friendly.
