Reviews for Value Suites Penrith

Review 1:The fact i didn't realise it backed onto the train line. I could hear the trains as well as goods trains even with window closed. Bathroom consisted of a tiny sink, toilet and shower.

Review 2:Secure parking although if you didn't shut the pedestrian gate manually it then stayed open allowing for theft from parked vehicles. At night the front auto doors opened by motion and not by swipe card.

Review 3:Location of microwave. (Over the sink) Step from living area to kitchen. Maintenance and Cleaning of fridge. Unofficial smoking area outside side door.

Review 4:Carpet in the hallway, before very noisy. Comfortable furniture and fittings.

Review 5:Excellent location in quick reach of Penrith, close to a pub with great food and with good facilities including comfortable and well appointed room, secure parking, shared laundry.

Review 6:The room had a double bed, not king size as stated in the booking. Very uncomfortable mattress and pillow (only one on each side and only one spare in the cupboard). Tea/Coffee facilities extremely basic. Water pressure in shower was terrible.

Review 7:Secure parking was really handy. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and tidy.

Review 8:Needed to put a towel across the gap between the front door and the floor to block out the hall light at night which shone right in my face but that worked so no big problem. Also hit my head on the microwave several times whilst washing dishes. Concern that the microwave being so high could be a risk if someone spills a hot liquid trying to lift a dish out of the microwave - I have done this in the past elsewhere and had severe burns.

Review 9:Friendly staff, clean rooms, good air conditioning, handy location

Review 10:Laundry charges excessive. Room very basic and on the small side for lengthy stays. No bedside cupboards, only tables. Nothing to put cases on and only one wardrobe. Bathroom extremely small and only mirror cupboard on wall.

Review 11:New building so everything was new. Property was secure. Room facilities adequate. Had a room opposite side to train line so noise was minimal.

Review 12:We had a lot of difficulty leaving as the gate sensor is not under the label on the concrete. This was a bit of a worry with the office unattended until 9am.

Review 13:Clean.

Review 14:Advertised as "serviced apartment" but no cooking facilities (a microwave does NOT equal a kitchen). Frustrating, as couldn't cook anything at all - defeated the whole purpose of staying in a serviced apartment. Essentially same facilities as a normal hotel room. No stove-top, not even an electric fry-pan, staff unapologetic and unhelpful about this. Extremely disappointing...

Review 15:New, clean and neat, staff friendly.

Review 16:The only problem with this property is the lack of insulation/soundproofing - especially in the bathrooms - can hear showers and toilets flushing (very annoying!) - apparently they are aware of this because tvs volumes are locked so you can't turn them up!!! Train line is a huge problem if you're on the western side - sound proofing would have helped!!!

Review 17:Noisy railway line (I'm a railfan too). The wifi information not given until day before leaving. The small gate very hard to close. Not much to dislike really

Review 18:Friendliness of staff. Cleanliness. Location. Room cleaned and serviced everyday. Fantastic service by everyone there.

Review 19:Probably only thing I didn't like but we knew this when we booked was the noise of the trains. I come from a quiet town with no noise in the night time. No other complaints at all.

Review 20:Very neat, clean. Comfortable bed. Secure parking

Review 21:Noise of shower, bathroom next door, train right outside, single old blanket on bed ,will not recommend to others, funky smell out side window, unsmiling staff.

Review 22:Clean,

Review 23:Windows need double-glazing on railway line. Pillows need replacing, 3 pillows foe 2 people is inadequate. Aircon needs replacing. Toilet paper is the cheapest they could find, almost as thin as the towels. Cheapest coffee they could find. Security reminds one of a gulag. The need to phone at the entrance to gain entry is ridiculous - at least invest in an intercom. Surroundings are austere, grow some trees, especially to buffer the rail line..

Review 24:Located close to friends.

Review 25:People will complain about the noise from the trains- but the owner did mention that they were going to install double glazing windows. It didn't bother me at all. I think they have to hurry up and get their fire alarms fixed, I was a bit wary that my room alarm had no batteries and was hanging from the roof, and apparently the whole building was the same, waiting for repairs.

Review 26:As a guest performer at The Joan Sutherland, this was such a convenient, clean, friendly and safe sanctuary to escape to between shows. The online booking system was very efficient and the courtesy call before my arrival to make sure I could find the suites was very personal. Justine was friendly and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Rooms were impeccable and for the cheap price, I wasn't expecting it to get serviced every day--- but it was! As a solo traveller the security gates & swipe access always made me feel safe, and there was excellent private parking.

Review 27:The noise of the train going past my window, the sound of the person snoring and then vomiting in the room next to me.

Review 28:The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, distance to station.

Review 29:Room smelt a bit funny, maybe just the cleaning products. They did let us in very early when we arrived, at 11:00 so smell may not have cleared.

Review 30:Emu Plains location was excellent. Near great family friendly Irish pub with excellent food (O'Donoghues). Near great healthy cafe for breakfast and awesome coffee. All within 2 min walk. Very quiet safe and secure location. Not far to Penrith town centre (5 min drive), but far enough. Staff are friendly and helpful, they rate as some of the best I have met. All people including staff at pub and cafe very friendly town. Would stay again nice and new.

Review 31:The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Loved the kitchenette- well appointed and stocked. Plenty of bench space. Staff were very pleasant and efficient.

Review 32:No hot plate in kitchen. Bizarre floor step in middle of kitchen. Overhead microwave shelf dangerous over sink.

Review 33:Clean room, friendly staff, easy access to railway statio.

Review 34:U can hear noise from other room it was separated with a door in the middle. I requested for a quiet room upon booking but was not provided as such. Our room was close to the railway n u can hear the train pass by.

Review 35:Water saving shower head has very poor pressure so longer shower needed especially if washing hair. Beds a bit too hard.

Review 36:Nice and new. Good to have second queen bed to suit adult child. Toaster and microwave nice extras. Gated access and carpark adds to sense of security. Convenient drive to Penrith Panthers

Review 37:The only thing that I would say was disappointing was the train tracks right outside the window, and the noise every 15mins

Review 38:The Apartment's are in a good location they are close to shops restaurants and sporting fixtures.

Review 39:We travel to Penrith every second weekend. We have previously been paying 3 times more a night in one Penriths largest Motels. I will be booking this motel from now on without a doubt. There was train noise but no where near as bad as a night club! The motel room had everything we needed and staff were very helpful. Car parking no issues and was secured parking something we did not get at the other motel either. Spacious room and total value for money!

Review 40:Loved it all!

Review 41:We stayed here the night before The Little bug dash. We were running mate and rang the office to be greeted with a lovely lady that was extremely kind. The room was so very clean and the beds were honestly so comfy and I'm a bit of a bed snob. My daughter really enjoyed the room and we will be back next year!

Review 42:The hotel was only 20 metres from a train track and the trains kept going past ALL night, especially LONG NOISY goods trains. I was put in a room on the train track side of the hotel which as far as I could tell, had no additional sound proofing. It certainly wasn't worth what I paid for the room.

Review 43:The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly.

Review 44:The only thing that was a little annoying was how close to the train line

Review 45:The whole place is very clean and modern, close enough to town and shops, very affordable and love the freebie lollies at the counter :)

Review 46:Not such a bad thing although the shower pressure was not great.. Nothing that could be fixed as per regulations for the water saving shower heads although was happy to get into my own shower..

Review 47:Loved everything!!!! Will definitely be going back

Review 48:The train noise, not being able to turn the volume up on the TV, no smoking area, weak shower pressure, too many rules in a noisy train line location, could not even watch TV because they preset your volume to a low max.

Review 49:The place looked nice but was a horrible experience otherwise .... Right on the train line, unable to open the window more than 2 inches, stuffy airless box.

Review 50:It was expensive for what we got, no extra pillows or blankets, had to have heater on all night as no blanket on bed? Toiletries were poorest price paid compared to other places we've stayed. Located next to trains that you could hear and this wasn't mentioned on website

Review 51:Clean, Modern, Friendly staff. Had a few concerns after reading reviews in regard to distance from train line. Staff were more than happy to accommodate our request for a room on the quieter side of the building, even upgraded our room to afford us this request. Although I'm not sure it would have made a difference which side we had stayed on as we only heard 1 train over the duration of a weekend and it was hardly enough to wake either of us had we been sleeping. Very comfortable bed, spacious room, decent shower. There were also umbrellas free to loan in the foyer which absolutely came in handy during our stay.

Review 52:the bathroom was small especially the shower and the walls seemed paper thin as you could hear a lot of noise

Review 53:the room was clean and the bed was comfortable

Review 54:The location was a bit inconvenient for Blue Mountains visiting, and it was really on the outskirts of Penrith

Review 55:Room was brand new and clean, friendly staff, free parking. No complaints about the room

Review 56:only draw back was the noise we could hear water everytime someone upstairs used the toilet/shower.

Review 57:we enjoyed our stay comfortable modern room lovely staff .train line very close but was not really a problem for us.

Review 58:Premises back onto Western Railway Line - didn't bother us, but some might rue trains passing. Range of utensils basic and 'just adequate'. Some microwave food dishes would have been beneficial. No Room Directory evident.

Review 59:Location was close to Emu Park Railway Station, Irish Pub and several good quality Food Outlets. Premises were clean (with a new feel); staff were friendly and efficient; handicapped parking close to entry points - and just across the River from Penrith CBD. Room was modest size, but with adequate furnishings to allow very flexible usage. One key-card for all access points, and good security, both internal and external.

Review 60:The water pressure in the shower wasn't very good

Review 61:the room was beautiful, the bed was comfy and the customer service of the lady in the reception area was amazing!

Review 62:The bed was very, very uncomfortable. There were only two towels, no hairdryer so I could not wash my hair . The motel is right beside the rail line so you can here trains when they go by.

Review 63:Staff were very courteous on arrival. Different person on departure was the opposite. Being new, cleanliness was not an issue. The room was nicely furnished and very clean.

Review 64:Entry to premises confusing, Sleepless night due to room backing onto the railway track, Felt like a back packers facility, Due to location the cost is quiet high.

Review 65:Cleanliness and facilities are great. Some confusion on entry to premises which was off putting.

Review 66:Too close to railway line - trains passed just metres away throughout night. Noise echoed in corridors and main entrance alarm sounded twice. Cleaners also seemed to have used my toilet and eaten my ham on last day!

Review 67:Soft biggish pillows and a firm bed.

Review 68:Wine glasses and salad bowl would be useful additions. Sink in the wrong spot kept hitting head on microwave directly above.

Review 69:Comfortable, clean. Good pressure in the shower

Review 70:Could not sleep due to the many trains that passed no more than ten metres from my window. They moved me to another room the next morning but why a hotel was ever built that close to train tracks boggles the mind.

Review 71:Staff were helpful and moved me to a less noisy room

Review 72:reception works to strict office hours, there is no elevator and no biscuits in the room when we arrived after 3 hours driving ... also didn't appreciate being woken at a quarter to six in the morning by someone trying to open the connecting door which is alarmed. Some stickers might avoid this.

Review 73:neat clean and new rooms

Review 74:How it is situated right next to the train line you can hear the trains very loud in the morning and also the bathroom and room wasn't very big for the price I paid for it

Review 75:The staff where friendly and the place was clean

Review 76:room was right by the train station, so had continous noise every half hour to an hour. Lucky was a overnite !

Review 77:Close to shops and train station, handy with the pub down the road.

Review 78:The access to enter the property to check in is ridiculous. To have to telephone to be let through the front gate is madness. The location next to the railway line is a definite neagtive. People slamming doors & yelling out at all hours was disgraceful. Never again ! 0 out of 10

Review 79:Only the new nature of the building and furniture saved this from getting a zero.

Review 80:Justine who runs Value Suites Emu Plains could not assist us enough. Nothing was too much to ask for. We had to keep extending and she reworked her bookings several times not to displace us again. Our special needs son was well embraced and our situation was treated with the upmost respect. Justine certainly deserves recognition for her outstanding customer service. Thank you Justine and Value Suites for coming to our rescue.

Review 81:Shower - not much water flow. Train tracks right outside window, although only heard about 6 trains and not in the middle of night and otherwise was beautifully quiet.

Review 82:Very clean, modern and large room. Very friendly staff. Felt safe with the security systems. Bed very comfortable.

Review 83:The building is about 50 mtrs or less from busy, noisy train line. The noise from other users was very loud. The room had no armchair or sofa.

Review 84:The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Review 85:Great location with station very close. Easy walk into Penrith City centre and river walk close by. Nice and quiet with good security. Would definitely stay again.

Review 86:Noisy air conditioner

Review 87:Friendly helpful Manager and well maintained property. Although close to train line our Room was at front of property and wasn't affected by noise.

Review 88:Some child friendly crockery & cutlery would have been good. Shower head was also a bit difficult for the children.

Review 89:Staff were totally helpful, very friendly & obliging. Premises all clean & new, good value, good security.

Review 90:The hot water in our bathroom took a little while to come through but otherwise it was all good.

Review 91:Just how quiet it was and very comfortable....needed somewhere that was not costly but neat and tidy....conveniently located close to shops, railway station and just a short drive to Westfields Penrith....spent most of our night out but it was so relaxing to come back to. Would definitely come stay again.....

Review 92:Smoke alarm went off in the building multiple times. TV volume was limited - hard to hear. Reception closes at 5pm. There seem to be a few semi-permanent residents in the hotel.

Review 93:The rooms were clean and new, comfy beds. Good basic kitchen facilities. Secure and safe.

Review 94:The moment we arrived the friendly greeting was enough to know we were in good hands. Our room was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Very impressed!

Review 95:The front gate. The key needs to be able to be operated from your vehicle. You get wet if it's raining. Post up the driveway would work well.

Review 96:Was good for what we needed and where we had to go each day

Review 97:chastised for not knowing, apparently like many other visitors, that we were supposed to ring ahead to have the electric gate opened on arrival.Fortunately, someone was in the carpark, to whom I called for help.More than frustrating, as it was pouring rain

Review 98:easy, smooth,

Review 99:The train noise

Review 100:I'm not used to trains running past my window an I would have thought someone at some stage would have seen the train line and installed double pain windows rather than single pain that rattled so loud you can hear them in the shower with the water running And the tv volume only goes up to 6 so you can't hear that over the trains either Nice place but won't be back

Review 101:First arrive to large locked security gates ,could not see how to get in , no sighn ,no entry box, they expect you to just know how to. getting out is the same ,you must read there info inside to learn the way to get out. air con is a cheaper brand that does not keep up on a very hot day. bathroom fan although new, sounds like a bus engine running , but i still think it was a nice stay.

Review 102:Its a very nice building , its all new , i had a family room for four , the room was a good size for us the decor was done nice ,it had a nice kitchen , bathroom size was just ok, carpark was secure

Review 103:We were looking for a low cost convenient location while attending an event in Penrith area. Value Suites was not our intended choice, as an accidental typo brought up their site instead of the one we'd been considering. It was a fortunate accident. This is a brand new location, with excellent parking, service and amenities. We were very pleased. We made the effort to collect the keys before 5pm, as requested, and were rewarded with excellent service on arrival and simple, easy access when we returned much later that evening.

Review 104:Great location as we were playing Futsal Nationals. Clean and staff friendly. Would recommend.

Review 105:The rail line at my window day and night. Clickety clack

Review 106:nothing

Review 107:Location

Review 108:Hearing the other guest's bathroom activities. Faulty lamps. Uncomfortable bed. Dirty sheets.

Review 109:Friendly staff. Warm welcome.

Review 110:The stairs lol

Review 111:It was quiet and clean.

Review 112:Strange smell in room and noisy airconditioner

Review 113:Location good

Review 114:Sounds echoed thoughout building

Review 115:It was cheap and convenient. Close to food places and off the road.

Review 116:The comfortable bed.

Review 117:Incredibly quiet and peaceful, amazingly comfortable bed and the most privacy I've had in a room since ever.

Review 118:Quick and easy service

Review 119:Very clean and simple with everything you need in this type of accommodation.

Review 120:Very close to train station and shops.

Review 121:Location was great for what we needed to do and close to shops. Staff were great.

Review 122:right next to train tracks

Review 123:clean and affordable

Review 124:No pool but honestly didn't really matter

Review 125:Very comfortable it was 43 degrees out but the apartment was very cool

Review 126:Convinient location to warrimoo
