Review 1：What a fantastic resort, exceptional customer service from ALL staff from reception, to cleaners and security staff. The apartment we had was very comfortable with a high spec and spotlessly clean. Loved the Jacuzzi. Staying here in December was great as it was very quiet which suited us, and the sun is still shining. Many thanks to all staff who were so professional and do such a great job.

Review 10：Such friendly and helpful staff-we were a group of 4 adults with 2 babies and the whole resort was very accommodating. Although our villa was about 20mins walk to the beach, we could get there in just a few minutes using the free hopper bus, or use the walk to get the little ones to sleep so we could enjoy a peaceful dinner! Standard of villa excellent, kept very clean, and spacious enough that we could all relax around the pool if we didn't fancy heading out.

Review 21：This is a high quality 5 Star resort renowned in Portugal as one of the best. You don't need a car if only a week as the circuit bus is on call from your villa. Restaurants were first class.

Review 22：We booked breakfast at additional cost of 15 Euro per person. Breakfast consisted of two choices; fried English or set plate of continental cold cuts. Guest services attitude was poor and generally unhelpful.

Review 27：My only complaint would be the difficulty getting sun loungers at the pool on a couple of days. About a dozen beds each day seemed to be reserved by a particular holiday company placing their bright blue towels on beds which would then remain empty for several hours. There were often several hours over the lunch period where people would disappear leaving empty beds that we could have used had there been some sort of "rule" encouraging people to vacate their beds if they were planning on being absent for this length of time. Perhaps some additional beds could be added for busier times?

Review 28：20 minutes from Faro airport. The circuit buses meant I did not need to drive and were very convenient. Although we were in a 2nd floor apartment we still had a pool to ourselves, which was very clean, though a little cold! The apartment was air conditioned making it very comfortable during the day and night. The resort felt very safe and secure with 24 hour patrols by officers on quad bikes. There was a good choice of places to eat at reasonable cost. The large communal pool was lovely, and with the resort card we received through booking direct meant we were given beach towels free of charge each day.

Review 29：We had a very enjoyable and relaxing 12 nights at Vale do Lobo. We were upgraded to a lovely three bedrooms villa 5 mins from the Praca. Our teenagers loved it - especially the nightlife!

Review 30：Beds could be more comfortable. We experienced a few teething problems expected with any new properties which the staff were fast to respond to resolve. (Hifi missing, no instructions for sound system, no bbq)

Review 31：Excellent facilities. Having a pool meant our eldest could play whilst the youngest was sleeping indoors in the shade whilst one of us could make lunch. Welcome pack a great find as we arrived after the supermarket closed.

Review 34：Can not fault this holiday. Appartment was amazing, so spacious. Maid came everyday. Golf,Tennis,Gym,Swimming. With Loyalty card for use of facilities. Supermarket on site was really good. Really reasonable too, euro very good rate at the moment though! Amazing fresh rolls every morning.

Review 35：The apartment is about a 20 min walk (not amble) from the centre which may be a problem for some guests although we quite liked it. There is a courtesy bus that will pick you up and take you down.

Review 36：The apartment was clean, well furnished, well equipped and luxurious. Some have a small plunge pool (we were one of the lucky few) which is great for the kids when they're bored.

Review 37：Great family holiday. The free shuttle bus was great and we used the Tennis club facilities and Gym. The new supermarket opened whilst we were there which was fabulous. Very safe for the children to go out by themselves.

Review 42：The supermarket was closed and had been for some weeks when I arrived. Vale do Lobo is quite isolated and you need a car if you need to leave the complex - I didn't have one so had to take a taxi to the nearest supermarket 30 Euro. Every time I needed to buy groceries it cost 30 Euro. The staff were only mildly apologetic and made no effort to accommodate or compensate guests for these extra costs or inconvenience. Had I known I would never have booked a predominantly self catering holiday in a resort that did not have a supermarket. It took all flexibility out of the holiday for me. I had to decide on Day 1 what I would eat for the rest of the week. In addition everything cost extra, even the use of the gym - a first for me!

Review 43：The Villa itself was excellent, well furnished, and luxurious but I had paid for an upgrade and the cost of the villa was 2.5k euro for a week solo occupancy so I did expect luxury

Review 44：We had some unexpected visitors in the early hours - a group of teenagers were splashing and playing in out pool on the 1st floor at 6am! The comotion woke me and my children, but I thought they were in another apartment. It wasn't until I opened the shutters that we found them in our pool! Security were excellent and escorted them off. VDL staff very apologetic and compensated us with a voucher

Review 46：If I was to complain about anything I would say the kitchen was slightly on the small side, however, the location of the apartment was ideal for easy access to excellent food and drink.

Review 57：All the staff at Vale Do Lobo, are fantastic, special thanks to Sonia at reception made as feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. The bus service was great, all the drivers very friendly. everywhere is so clean, we had a great apartment at Oceano, daily maid service, great facilities. We used the tennis club which was free to use, and also had a massage at the Royal Spa, all of which were superb. Vale Do Lobo, organised a driver to collect us from the airport, again faultless service. The beach at Praca and all the facilities there,were excellent, we even had live music at Breeze Bar. The location and the staff made this the perfect place to unwind, we are now planning our next visit. thank you

Review 58：Main pool not open. Only a couple of restaurants open at lunchtime. The rest opened at 6.30 / 7 which is a little late for a young family.

Review 63：Check in staff for the first 24 hours of our stay. My sister & I booked a couple of week day nights for an Autumn catch up. We chose an apartment with an hot tub. It took us 24 hours to convince the check in staff that there was a problem with the hot tub. This was unacceptable. A new staff member came on duty and resolved the issue immediately by giving us another apartment with an hot tub that worked efficiently. We were granted an extra night for the problems. However, this did not make up for the 24 hours of stress and upset.

Review 65：We had a great time staying at the resort. The apartment was excellent and so were the staff. From checking in, the staff on reception explained all amenities to us and called for security so we could follow in the car to show us where the apartment was. Upon arrival in the room, the staff made a great gesture with a bottle of bubbly awaiting for us for our wedding anniversary. Nothing was ever too much trouble and my wife was absolutely delighted with the surprise trip. My wife commented that all the staff were so happy, which is a credit to the resort and management.

Review 66：Discrepancies in taxi transfers to airport. Almacil taxi cost us 21 Euro on way in but resort taxi cost 36 Euro on way back - nearly double!

Review 68：The location was advertised as 0.4 kilometers from Vale de Lobo. Which is factual if you were staying at the resort, however the apartment location was a minimum walk of 20 minutes from the resort. On a positive the shuttle bus service was excellent, however my stay was in the off season, and therefore not busy, I therefore must wonder how the service would be in high season when it is busy

Even with some toys at hand! Good location to start your discovery of the Algarve. Excellent offer of quality restaurants in the surroundings (must do: Parilla Natural Steakhouse and their Passion Mojito).

Review 72：Driving in the facilities was like a maze, no signs to direct you to grocery, restaurants etc. Also, no beach towels were offered unless you went to the pool. I went to the Algarve for the Beaches and did pack the beach towels.

Review 85：Some staff were surly. The main pool needs a different system of letting people in and hogging loungers. A lot of loungers were not being used for hours as people had bagged them by putting towels on them and the loungers could have been used by others. It meant unless you went before 10:00am you couldn't use the pool until 4:00pm. Appartment was getting tired and was expensive for what it was - welcome pack was very basic! Beds were so hard, no clothes rack to hang washing out and pans were scratched and unusable.

Review 86：Clean, tidy resort. Liked the shuttle bus to get around. If you like a big resort with lots of choice of reataurants and bars then this is a great resort.

Altogether a wonderful relaxing holiday... we will be back again.
