Reviews for Hôtel Les Acteurs
Review 1:The Hotel is very very close to the city centre, 2 minutes walking to go to the Cathedral. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Safe area, safe city in general.
Review 2:They had some difficulties with english, so the hotel charged double - the hotel and the booking.com, because there were misunderstanding in communication.
Review 3:The room for 1 person, there's only a window fronting to the wall so when there's no light on, the room is completely dark day and night.
Review 4:Good location and security
Review 5:A little bit tiny shower room. Absence of refrigerator in the room.
Review 6:Friendly staff, Russian speaking. Good location, near historical center. Good value for money.
Review 7:The bathroom is very small and the wifi didn't work well on the 3rd floor. But for two nights it was ok.
Review 8:The staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the homelike atmosphere. The rooms are quiet and clean.
Review 9:Single-room (nr. 16) for 52 euro (tax included) on 4th floor: 1) small 2) smelly (through shaft) 3) no window (well: one looking into a shaft/blind wall 4) overpriced: 30 euros instead of 52 would have been a reasonable price for this room, just to lay your head at night. I arrived early, saw some doubles being cleaned in the morning through open doors, they looked okay, spacious and light: just avoid single room number 16, or negotiate the price down to 30/35 euros...
Review 10:Nice man at the incheck-desk. TV okay. Room with shower.
Review 11:I’ve never had smaller room in my life it was big barely 6sqm with bathroom offhand ‘bathroom’ 1sqm looked more like small WC room was very dark and with a window which gets light through the light tunnel how it looks like in general this can be only bed&breakfast but not a hotel how it shows in booking.com internet connection was very bad, all the time was breaking down during the night somebody was snoring so stong that I was not able to asleep long time, absolutely not sound-proofed even mont a little bit in the room got so warm during the night and I woke up all in sweat and wasn’t able to asleep next 2 hours because window is just handoff this hotel i absolutely don’t suggest!!!
Review 12:staff is very friendly and I was allowed to check-in 2h earlier then regular check-in time location is good in the city center and close to one of train stops it is clean
Review 13:The "value deal" room was dark, cramped and facing the elevator; definitley not acceptable; fortunately, for a small extra a much better room was available, on a higher foor with a clear view
Review 14:Location, bright and quiet room,
Review 15:Small room and tiny bathroom. The rooms window opens op on to a narrow air shaft, that's closed up at the top, so there can't get any fresh air into the room.
Review 16:Excellent location, close to city centre and opera house.
Review 17:En suite facilities were awful. The room had a partition box in corner with a sliding door acting as en suite facilities.Would not recommend this hotel.
Review 18:location
Review 19:WC and shower very small and to closed from the top; the are at 90cm from the bed. the hotel is too noisy night late. The room door does not close properly, parking is in a catastrophic building....
Review 20:Breakfast place
Review 21:Very correct breakfast for 7 euros. Close to all stores and restaurants, not far from the river Meuse and museum/aquarium. All around quite good.
Review 22:Opening my window to see a wall with sprinklers on less than a metre away. No sign of fire exit signs and I would have had to climb up the pipes and break through a skylight to get out? Flimsy bed, very basic shower/toilet.
Review 23:Location good - a 10 minute walk to the centre
Review 24:Room was quite noisy. Walls and windows could do with more soundproofing. It's also a long walk from the main train station, though that's the fault of the station's location!
Review 25:Very handy for the bars of the Carre district. Staff were always smiling and friendly.
Review 26:The bathroom was separated from the room with some walls not tall enough and dysfunctional sliding door.
Review 27:Great location and quite cheap
Review 28:speaks only french
Review 29:Excellent approach of all staff there.
Review 30:Very friendly staff and perfect location. Basic but perfectly fine room
Review 31:very small, but it was a room for 1, so to be expected, no window, but again ... value for money
Review 32:location, staff very friendly, small price ...
Review 33:None
Review 34:Staffs are nice and polite
Review 35:Wi-fi is not as fast and stable as it should be.
Review 36:Friendly personnel, surprisingly speak Russian. Private parking nearby, spacious room.
Review 37:Tiny room without window.
Review 38:OK location, and single rooms don't come much cheaper than this these days - so all in all not bad!
Review 39:Centrale ligging + de private parking
Review 40:Nothing to really make it special.
Review 41:Location.
Review 42:The rooms are very basic, no room in toilet and shower area, plus very bad beds.
Review 43:Best location
Review 44:Excellent attention by the personnel
Review 45:the room had no window
Review 46:the location is excellent and the staff friendly
Review 47:En-suite
Review 48:Very friendly staff
Review 49:very thin walls in my room window and fresh air wasn't available
Review 50:pleasant staff good breakfast every time hot water clin rooms
Review 51:Staff were willong to help and able to answet our questions. Guillaume and Laetitia Brummer, Cape Town.
Review 52:I heard another guest coughing the whole night and even him turning in his bed. I would recommend to do something about noise isolation.
Review 53:Small room, very small bathroom. All's a little bit old too...
Review 54:Good location, friendly staff
Review 55:Hostel standard presentation and room.
Review 56:Staff, breakfast
Review 57:During the weekend the street is very noisy. We did not sleep well.
Review 58:The room was OK. Breakfast was good, staff friendly.
Review 59:situation, friendliness of staff, quality of breakfast, good parking
Review 60:Isolated rooms with low air flow Sheets were made of paper/plastic material
Review 61:Nice location Friendly staff
Review 62:The facilites are old.
Review 63:Staff are nice and helpful.
Review 64:The staff at the hotel make the stay wonderful!
Review 65:Some staff extremely unhelpful. Single room ridiculously tiny- shower unusable - not a good value
Review 66:Location was great-
Review 67:Small size of the room and bathroom in it The way in which the bathroom was placed in the room The thin walls Poor locks on the doors Smell in the room as if people had smoked there Limited number of electricity connections in the room
Review 68:Location Kind service! Free and available WIFI Reasonably priced parking
Review 69:The single is a very small (even by Euro standards) and basic roomwithout any amenities and no window view, but this is still very fairfor the price and location.
Review 70:Staff was very helpful with some special requests I needed. Also veryfriendly and hospitable, made sure I was satisfied at every turn.
Review 71:I had a non-smoking room, however - perhaps because of a poor ventilation - I felt the smoke. I heard all the noise during the night (people climbing the stair, locking the doors, people walking in rooms around) too good, so it was difficult to sleep.
Review 72:Nice personnel, good location.
Review 73:The staff was very friendly, however they couldn't speak english ou any other language beyond french, except for the young italian guy who worked there. The location isn't very good if you're travelling alone, at least by night. However it ain't far away from the centre.
Review 74:The room was really nice and comfortable. It had everything I needed, nice individual bathroom, tv with 20 channels, heater, light, nice bed, really good for a 2-star hotel.
Review 75:the toilet/shower was in our room but had no ceiling so it was like having an odd stall in the room. The room reeked of smoke even though we had requested a non-smoking room. The website said parking was availble but when we checked in, it was full and we had to spend about an hour in the car searching for street parking or pay 25 euros to park it in a garage.
Review 76:the friendliness of the staff
Review 77:the door would not lock (key did not work well), the room smelled of smoke, not all lights worked, it was cold
Review 78:the hotel is near the center, which is very convenient for people who want to do sightseeing, walk in the center or enjoy the nightlife. the room was very clean
Review 79:Nothing
Review 80:Excellent pastries for breakfast, for sure among the very best one can find anywhere. Very friendly personnel Practical hotel, with everything working, including the wifi
Review 81:The bathroom and toilet is very Spartan. My toilet was dirty on arrival. Cleaning can improve
Review 82:Good location, close to bar streets. This is a guesthouse style accommodation with personal interaction with reception/manager.Morning breakfast was very good value with enough variety.
Review 83:The area was extremely grotty. Breakfast was poor and the outlook was appalling!
Review 84:The staff tried to be helpful. The location, provided one got off the train at Liege Jonfosse, was quite good.
Review 85:only one thing was not so good - in the webpage there is information, that my room had "window on the wall". That is only partially true - the window was not for a wall, but it was looking for a tiny (1m X 2m) court between the building's walls. The court had a roof! so in practise it means that there is NO window in the room as there is not possible to get fresh air from outside, and if someone is smoking in the room below or above in the same condignation it is possible to suffocate because of the smoke. Generally I don't like city of Liege so much, is rather dark and dirty
Review 86:clean, tiny room, wifi, tv, 24h reception, nice breakfest, kind staff
Review 87:Receptionist can not speak English at all (but very friendly which was very good) Very noisy outside whole night. Room was too warm since no air-conditioner/electric fan.
Review 88:Room was very clean. Location was perfect for sightseeing.
Review 89:The rooms are very noisy. Television and bathroom in the neighbouring rooms seemed freighteningly near.
Review 90:Although the hotel is very low-key, thanks to the friendly staff it nevertheless gets a personal touch.
Review 91:The first room I was given was completely awful, without windows! Andwith a very poor illumination. The bed was really small andunconfortable and the bathroom was separated just with a cortain. I hadto ask to be moved to another room and this one had a window, but the noother improvements.
Review 92:The location of the hotel is the only good thing
Review 93:The bathroom is really small. I'm a small person and it was not comfortable for me to take a shower there. Imagine how difficult it will be for tall person. Anyway, the room was too expensive for what they offer.
Review 94:The localization is good.
Review 95:I didn't like the fact that only one of the receptionists was speaking English. They didn't recommend us any place we could eat properly... they said that everything in the center is nice - and it isn't!!
Review 96:I liked the location and the building... the hotel was also clean.
Review 97:It was very basic but spotlessly clean. Perfect for cheap weekend break for Christmas markets. Good self serve breakfast €7. 24hour reception. Small and friendly.
Review 98:I was warned that my room looked out onto a wall, but I mistakenlyassumed this was an outdoor wall. So I did not like that I could notopen the window and get fresh air in the morning after taking a showerin the tiny bath that steamed up the room. Also, breakfast was okay butwith no hot items it certainly wasnt worth 9Euros.
Review 99:The location was very good - close to the old town and shoppingdistrict. There was a parking garage on the same block, and a fabulouspasta restaurant (punto pasta) on the same block as well. Free wifi wasgreat, but unfortunately it was only in the lobbby.
Review 100:The bed was a little hard for me and I would have preferred an extra blanket.
Review 101:Location is very good: near the city centre and train station. Room was ok, nothing too fancy but just what you expect for the price.
Review 102:Central location, visited Liege en route back to Ireland from S. E. France to see my daughter who is attending college there. Hotel well located for one night stay. Basic but clean and good value
Review 103:WiFi not working through the entire stay. A problem. No one told me thatthe hotel is not staffed on Sunday afternoon: I thought that I waslocked inside.
Review 104:Location, location, location. Cost.
Review 105:Couldn't get the wifi connection in my room, or in the breakfast room, staff unable to help with that. No soap in room except shower gel sachet, no water glass in room, OK if you have a short stay reason to be in Liege, as I didb but probably for the price anther hotel would be better.
Review 106:Good quiet location just 5 mins walk from the centre of town. Free parking in street from 6.30pm to 8am.
Review 107:However, the staff did not speak much English, mainly French and a bit Flemish. Although it was written on the reservation that a one-person room is with a window facing a wall, I didn't expect that it be blocked by a wall. Therefore, there was no air in the room and no air conditioning, and the lumination was poor. I had to switch to a bigger room to avoid depression.
Review 108:The location was quite near the center, and the price was ok. The staff was nice and tried to accomodate to my needs very much. They let me use the phone within Belgium and helped me change to a better room for a small addition in price.
Review 109:The bathroom includes a toilet, a very small washbasin and a good warmshower but is as big as a walk-in closet; just too small for my taste(taking account of the price)
Review 110:The hotel is located near a railway station (‘Liège Jonfosse’) and a busstop, just beyond the city center with its places of entertainment. Myroom was clean, neat and quiet, though there was only a little bitnatural light inside. The hotel staff was friendly.
Review 111:For me the room was more than adequate, but some might find the roomssmall, and there were only two hangers on two coat hooks so that mightbe a problem for some.
Review 112:Excellent location and reasonably priced. I would definitely staythere again.
Review 113:Wi-fi only on ground floor; only some staff speak english
Review 114:Tiny but comfy rooms, walking distance to everywhere, markets &restaurants nearby, easy to get to bus stops and train station.
Review 115:joke!! better spend 20E more for a real hotel this place is worst i ve ever seen, rooms are small, nothing in there, staff hahah its not staff 60 years old couple they dont speak englisch at all... no point to save 20E better go somewhere else
Review 116:the room (especially the bathroom) were a bit too small
Review 117:breakfast kindness of the manager the terrace
Review 118:crab still in the toilet after i checked in?
Review 119:location,staffs
Review 120:Nice Hotel
Review 121:Friendly staff, albeit non english speaking
Review 122:Room was tiny for the price and very dark (no natural light)
Review 123:Good location, close to the old city centre and 5 minutes' walk from Jonfosse station
Review 124:Strange noises in the wall - perhaps the heating pipes expanding and contracting.
Review 125:Very good location - walking distance to the center.
Review 126:good location
Review 127:Breakfast was poor.
Review 128:Excellent location in the city centre.
Review 129:Very good hotel for the price. Staff friendly and efficient, rooms clean, everything worked, nice quiet location. Would definitely recommend!
Review 130:Language was never an issue with the staff even thought they did not speak English. They were very friendly and helpful.
