Reviews for Dar Al Manar
Review 1:We had a great deal of difficulty locating the property. The owner had to come meet us at the main highway and lead us to the riad.
Review 2:The ambiance of the owner and staff plus beautiful grounds around the property.
Review 3:Nothing at all.
Review 4:Mme Fatima sent me directions, as other visitors had found this hotel hard to find. That she translated them into English for me was typical of the thoughtfulness and care for one's comfort that marked my visit. The room was very pretty, very comfortable, with a tray of mint tea to sooth travel nerves. Delicious dinner and good breakfast. Very quiet, surrounded by fields and garden, a rarity for Azenmoor or El Jadida. . But most special was the reception, the helpfulness, the thoughtfulness.
Review 5:That we only stayed one night and forgot to ask her in advance to have her cook prepare a dinner for us.
Review 6:Off the beaten path but only a few minutes drive from El Jadida, this place is a haven of peacefulness and serenity with a large garden and open views all the way to the ocean. The spacious house is beautifully and very tastefully appointed with different color schemes in every room and a large and comfortable living room. The hostess was gracious, welcoming and very helpful. She made us feel at home immediately. We will be back for sure!
Review 7:Sheets felt damp and the room needed aired.
Review 8:Lovely garden, view and tranquillity. Meal was excellent.
Review 9:Peace and Cortesy
Review 10:Exquisite in every way. Absolute gem of a place run by the most gracious people. Will without doubt recommend.
Review 11:Nothing really, fantastic place!
Review 12:The house is very beautifully and each room is decorated with taste. Our room was large and clean, and also offered great privacy. Dinner (including wine!) and breakfast were delicious. Fatima (the owner) is lovely and also gave us good advices about what to visit in the surroundings.
Review 13:Very difficult to find, called the owner who kindly came to lead us to the hotel. Ensure you inform them in advance if you will be late to arrive at night, as its not 24 hours reception hotel. You need your own car to stay here.
Review 14:Very nice property, with nice view، and clean and wide rooms.
Review 15:Extremely tranquil and relaxing. Far more refined and sophisticated than the photos suggest--thoroughly recommended. Ideally situated for golf at Pullman or Mazagan.
Review 16:difficult to find from the map on website - owner came to meet us after we phoned.
Review 17:Beautiful setting a bit out of town so tranquil. Recommend pre-booking dinner. Lovely breakfast, lovely owner. Lots of space as all rooms have a sitting area, but a lovely lounge and breakfast room that looks like it should be in a house decor magazine. Plenty of room for kids to run around in the grass.
Review 18:Very difficult to find after dusk. Potholed road to location not lit. Badly signposted with paint on wall.
Review 19:Style, room size, exquisite breakfast, b&b atmosphere made our stay a memorable one.
Review 20:No curtains , muslin cloth . Electric shutters , grills on other 2windows . power cut . Electric shutter down could not open had to go onhands and knees underneath . Luckily for us we had left the shutter openabout a foot. We are late 50s and 60s having to get in out under shutter. The could not move it . There were 3 other empty rooms we were notofferd on . albeit I was on strong meds for chest infection from thedoctor the day before. We were shocked woold never have accepted this ina large hotel . We accept any one can have electric fault . However itmust have a way to escape . if there had been a fire we would have neverhave got out had the shutter been all the way down . Which we had doneearlier . it would fail all fire tests. Second night we were nervous.Left the shutter up more so if same thing happened we could get out . Sowe would have light in room and could be seen getting changed with lighton . Got up just after 7am for long journey . Only to be looking at theyoung gardener , (peaping tom) on hands and knees looking into our room.We were shocked and watched him . We were furious, when we told Fatimashe said "why didn't you shout at him". To be honest allour 6 hotels and Riads were fine . This was a bad 2 day experience . Weknow other people have given good responses however this was ours . Wehave a B&B there is no way we would have ever let our guests go onhands and knees into there rooms . We would have given them a roomstrigth away and if we had not got one we would given them our room .Your guest are the most important thing to make it happy for them . Notwhat we endured there . We paid the full amount with no discount forthis not good experience .
Review 21:TranquilLovely house Good evening meal cooked by maid.
Review 22:Fatima is just great and she was built a wonderful house. This is the perfect base for exploring El Jadida and the nearby beaches. The rooms are very large, all has taste, breakfast and dinner (optional) are as good as it gets. A must.
Review 23:nothing
Review 24:really a beautiful place, where every detail is perfect. The location is wonderful, though a little difficult to find. Good sleep, good relaxation, and also El Jadida is surely worth a visit.
Review 25:We can not think of something. All was very good.
Review 26:Hospitality and welcome by the owner, Fatima made us feel very good. Beautiful house and garden. A real place to relax. Marjo en Tom
Review 27:Hard to find first time. From the roundabout on the from El Jadida and the motorway take the road to Azzemour. After about 100 meters turn right at a horticultural nursery (pepiniere) follow the lane to the right parallel to the motorway, up a little hill then turn left down a track (signed). It's the second gate on the left.
Review 28:Super friendly - Fatima and her staff willing to go the extra mile, lovely rooms in gorgeous house and gardens, excellent food. All in all the best place we stayed in Morocco. A little bit higher than average price but way, way worth it.
Review 29:The Dar is a little hard to find, as other reviewers have noted. If you use Google Maps, the directions are accurate from El Jadida or Casablanca (not true of everything in Morocco). Not recommended if you will not have a car, as it is a bit outside of town.
Review 30:This was a lovely spot for our last night in Morocco - close to the sea and about 1.25 hours from the Casablanca airport. Fatima and Pascal were lovely hosts and have a beautifully decorated home. We were only here one night, so didn't have much of a chance to explore the grounds or enjoy the view, but we did take dinner here and had a delicious dinner. Beds were comfortable and warm, bathrooms had lovely big towels. They served us breakfast early as we had to leave for the airport, and it was a good selection. Recommended.
Review 31:Absolutely beautiful accommodation with an excellent view and privacy.
Review 32:Very nice dinner
