Reviews for Hotel - Grand Cafe Atlanta
Review 1:I was confused about tax which I think it was already charged and wasn't expect another thanks.
Review 2:The location is very good and I really like this place and nice breakfast.
Review 3:We should have received advice to drive straight to the nearby underground parking garage. It was a busy market and we could not drive to the hotel.
Review 4:Location
Review 5:The mattress was a little too soft :)
Review 6:Location, food, atmosphere, history... Everything you could want is just around the corner!! The rooms do allow you to bring work along as well, and are very quiet, despite the central location.
Review 7:Getting a decent Wi Fi connection could at times be troublesome. This is only really due to streaming and not to browsing. So a very minor "what didn't you like"
Review 8:No social interaction. It almost seemed empty. I did not spend a lot of time there though. Could have used a little more plugs for my devices.
Review 9:The location is excellenet, the staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms were cleaned properly every day.
Review 10:The room and the hotel in general could use some cleaning. Soundproofing could be better, especially since bars around the hotel play loud music till very late.
Review 11:Location was good, right in the very center of Nijmegen.
Review 12:bedroom not very nice, very dark and decor left a lot to be desired, toilet also not very nice

Review 15:nothing.
Review 16:The room was comparatively cheap, so not really complaining, but the single room small, mine had a fire escape between the bedroom and the bathroom!! Others would have to run through my space if a fire!! Room v basic, had to borrow a hair drier, and iron, which actually never arrived although promised. Lights quite low, one bulb broken, hard to do my computing at night. Wifi ok ish, had bit of trouble getting on each time. Average breakfast.
Review 17:Location is amazing, could not be more central, very clean, nice staff. Modern bathroom, ok toiletries for a cheap hotel. Tiny lift but neede, d as stairs v steep. Free wifi. Rooms above the cafe, average food.
Review 18:Food at the restaurant. Peper sauce with the steak was without taste The room was cold and it stayed cold. Bathroom was so small that I had no space for my legs when in the toilet
Review 19:We stayed three nights here in September and were very happy with the hotel as a base for visiting Nijmegen and Arnhem. Attached to the hotel is an outside bar/restaurant which was very handy although we didn't eat here. Breakfast was OK but nothing special.
Review 20:The hotel was expensive relative to its services. The wifi signal was very weak, also breakfast was modest. When I left the room for a whole day, I found it with very bad odour from the Toilete when came back n .
Review 21:People are friendly and the place was clean.
Review 22:Steep narrow steps but mainly used the lift.
Review 23:The location was good as central for everything. The hotel room was very clean and loved the double walk in shower. Breakfast good and a good value for money place to stay.
Review 24:No tea making facilities Extractor didn't work in bathroom with no ventilation so very smelly even on arrival No double glazing on windows so was kept awake all night by people in the street outside Poor soundproofing on front door/ walls so heard slamming doors /voices all night from other residents Staff on arrival unhelpful, too busy running bar/restaurant When checking out weren't even asked if we had enjoyed our stay or if there had been any concerns
Review 25:Breakfast was ok if you were early
Review 26:Atmosphere, location, the bar.

Review 41:Can't blame them too much; the Netherlands doesn't normally get very hot. But there is no AC.
Review 42:Wonderful people; good food in the cafe below.
Review 43:Hotel staffs were not cordial & lacked warmth unlike Amsterdam.
Review 44:Great location, very friendly staff, good food, very relaxing.
Review 45:Very polite staff, great location, great coffee!
Review 46:Toilet located across corridor not exactly en suit, but could be a holland thing got used to it in the end
Review 47:Location, staff, food
Review 48:Noise, cold
Review 49:The hallways are to narrow.
Review 50:Simple, clean and friendly. Ideal location to explore Nijmegen
Review 51:Perfect place to stay in nijmegen
Review 52:Not all bedrooms have a bathroom en-suite. We were given rooms withbathrooms across a common corridor. This was not made clear whenbooking. Bar and restaurant closed at 9pm!!
Review 53:When we had a problem with the rooms the staff did their best to re-allocate us. Excellent breakfast and perfect location.
Review 54:Very noisy. Bathroom in another room, located across the hallway (had the separate key to lock and unlock the door to hallway, but no key for bathroom), so could not leave any of my items to the bathroom. No air-conditioning. Could not leave the window opened either, because there was some kind of roof-top and emergency staircase located right next to my window.
Review 55:Very good location.
Review 56:The internet connection wasn't very strong or reliable (I was staying on the 2nd floor of the hotel). However, it was much better in the cafe/restaurant and staff were very happy for me to sit there and answer emails.
Review 57:Great location and very friendly staff who were only too happy to help. Also, excellent breakfast.
Review 58:Unable to get close to the hotel as the city centre is closed to traffic so had to walk with luggage through the street from a car park to the hotel. Accidentally left behind a gents watch in the hotel and this has not been 'found' or returned. The staff must have picked this up when cleaning!!!!! Very disappointing.
Review 59:Breakfast. Staff spoke English. Middle of town centre.
Review 60:carpets in rooms are a bit worn and give impression of not being clean as a result, they are clean however, just old.
Review 61:simple hotel, good location, good for the price, staff very friendly and helpful, good breakfast
Review 62:they have to paint the inside of the hotel and put some new carpets on the floor
Review 63:the bathroom. the surrounding evendo it is in the weekend quiet noisy.
Review 64:Room itself is somewhat outdated. Steep narrow stairs to rooms (although a lift is available)
Review 65:Nicely luxureous redecorated bathroom. Good breakfast in Grand Cafe. Good view on Market place
Review 66:Nijmegan's sentrum town square *where the hotel was located* was challenging to reach. This town has many twisty turny tiny lanes with pop up barriers to restrict traffic to those that live here. We had a GPS unit which is updated but it didnt have the knowledge of these barriers. So be patient and use google street view to plan a route to the hotel. The only other problem, minor really, was the glasses in the bathroom had not been replaced from the last guest who had obviously used LOTS of toothpaste. But the staff was very happy to provide fresh clean glasses lickety split.
Review 67:Nijmegan was such a lovely town and this grand elegant old lady of a hotel was charming and had that old world character in it's decor. The room we had was completely modern and had a generous walk in shower, free wi-fi and a really good mattress. This hotel was on a lovely old european town square and the underground parking was only a block away. Also the hotel was 2 min walk from the remains of Charlemagne's castle, the hotel gave us 2 free entrance tickets to a great casino with affordable fancy food and we were very close to the beautiful and historic St Stephens church. Dont pass up a chance to go down into the crypt in the church, it is respectful and peaceful.
Review 68:location is very good and the staff is very nice.
Review 69:A smile would have been good. Noisy at night until very late
