Reviews for Casa Ms. Brown

Review 1:Ms. Brown is a sweetheart! Helped us get some of the local flavor. Its a bit of a walk from the ocean front but more affordable. We loved our one night stay!

Review 2:When it gets dark, the coqui frogs get very loud, so better have your earplugs at hand for a good nights sleep.

Review 3:Nice, clean accomodation with hot water, AC and kitchen. Ms. Brown is a wonderful host. If she offers breakfast and coffee, be sure to say yes. It was delicious!

Review 4:Payment had to be cash. Staff is a bit unprofessional. Though it is walking distance from the "Malecón", it is not a fun walk. I would've rather stayed closer to all the activity and not depend as much on the car.

Review 5:Large apartment with one bedroom and bathroom, living areas and kitchen. Ms Brown is a lovely hostess.

Review 6:Nothing.

Review 7:Ms. Brown is the best host I ever met. She is lovely, give you transportation without hesitate, always looking to help. The room is big and comfortable, even have a kitchen with stove and fridge. The room have A/C. Highly recommended. I will love to stay again. Suggestion: Rent a Jeep during your trip.

Review 8:Quite loud with the stray dogs in the back all barking in the early morning... It would've been even nicer if there were basic amenities such as soap and shampoo.

Review 9:Nice to be very close to the restaurants in Esperanza. Great kitchen.

Review 10:The only down side was that the wifi was spotty and did not work in the bedroom, which was the only room that had air-conditioning.

Review 11:Jorge picked us up from the ferry and brought us to our room. He made sure we had everything we needed and was very responsive to our requests.

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:Really nice staff and apartment really cosy and comfortable. AC, Possibility to cook on your own (didn't stay long enough for that), 10min away from beach, ...

Review 14:The host of Casa Mrs. Brown was increadably helpfull. The appartement was perfect for 3, but could even be housed by 4 people. Very clean! Best location of the island! We had a blast!!

Review 15:Friendly, helpful owners. Clean, safe, comfortable, air conditioned, quiet apartment on the ground floor of private home Small kitchen, sitting area with futon that was actually comfortable, separate bedroom with a super comfortable King bed. 1/2 mile walk to beach and restaurants. Glad we didn't stay over a bar on the main street.

Review 16:no quilt on beds, we have to ask for it. we saw a big roach in the living room and beat it, which was a little uncomfort for us in the vacation.

Review 17:good location, friendly staff

Review 18:Esperanza is an awesome area, and I would recommend it. We stayed in the tiny guesthouse in the back and it was very nice. The location is wonderful, and the room was clean and comfortable. This is just a short walk to where the action is in Esperanza, which was nice.

Review 19:we booked a studio and got a "private" room, a 160cm bed for two persons (not couple), no table, no chair, no wifi - but a lot of private stuff. Hot water was only possible with an extension cord. The soap was halved, and everywhere was dust. And all this for $150 for one night.

Review 20:Ms Brown organised for us the boat trip to the bio Bay and gave us a ride to the ferry

Review 21:Nothing. Even wihtout a car you are a walking distance to some nice beaches, grocery and restaurants

Review 22:Mrs Brown is a great host, explaing us and our children the secrets of Vieques. The Apt was nice and cozy

Review 23:Wifi is a little weak.

Review 24:Ms Brown and her son George were so nice to us and even offer to drive us to the ferry at 4:30am. The house is within walking distance to the main street of Esperanza, close to many restaurants and the Sun Bay.

Review 25:Lack of cooking furnitures Over 3 appartments, they gave us probably the worst one while all the other were empty.

Review 26:It was great to stay in Esperanza, close to all beaches, restaurant, etc.. and at the same time being in a local neighbourhood, instead of a hotel full of tourists.

Review 27:If the weather were not windy, or if it was super-hot, the lack of AC would be a concern.

Review 28:Casa Ms Brown is so much nicer than the pictures on the Internet. The exterior is a bright white, and the interior was clean and fresh, with a large living-dining area, a very nicely sized bedroom, and a large bathroom. It's about two blocks from the beach and features free parking. The island winds and interior fans keep the place nice and cool, and it's within quick walking distance to many restaurants. Because it's not on the beach itself, it was very quiet - no late night parties nearby, like at the guest houses on the beach.
