Reviews for Ababor Suites

Review 1:Nothing bad! Would suggest that kitchen be checked before arrival for adequate dishes and pans. (they provided what I needed quickly, someone had moved to another unit). 2 towels per person is nice. (bring you own, I didn't know 1 was normal for 4 days. Everything was very clean, good storage in bedroom. I think we had the smallest unit.

Review 2:Loved the location, right on the beach You will need a Jeep or factor in cost of using a local driver. (I rented a Jeep). Wanda is nice, she has a little dog Mandy that is super sweet and not a pest at all:). It is on a quiet road, easy to get back into Isabella II for grocery, buy what you need nothing is there, get charcoal if you want to grill. Main Grocery has good prices. If the Farmers Market is open that is very best option for fresh veggie and friut, it comes from the mainland so if busy or holiday this may not be an option. Fish market is amazing for catch of the day. Does not take long to drive to Esperanza. If you want to be in the bar/dining scene daily you should stay over there, if you want to chill and enjoy real island life at it's finest, stay here!

Review 3:There is a sense of times are changing when in an island town you see everything fenced in and barbed wire on their high school property. I did not like seeing the police driving by in the local towns dressed in bullet proof vests, which occurred a lot. It looks like they are trying to crack down on a difficult situation and perhaps that is why tourism is down.

Review 4:It was great! Beach was sunny and protected by a "corral reef barrier" that created a nice tidal area to kayak in. Area was quiet. You can experience all kinds of beaches and surfs on this island so you won't get bored. The beaches are some of the most pristine in the Caribbean! Just beautiful with right amount of shade. Renting a jeep is a must, which we had planned for, and once we got there decided we needed to keep it. It was fun to go jogging there, but lots of wild horses on streets. They did not seem to be skittish, but just steer clear of them, especially when driving at night. The restaurants have great food, not one bad meal! Bio bay is a must to see at night! The island itself, including the beaches, was quiet and empty.

Review 5:the beach with a small reef that was quiet

Review 6:Sweet suite: private, steps to a reef-protected beach. The manager, Wanda, is stellar.
