Review 1：I did see what some reviewers discuss about views from rooms facing the interior . Windows do look into each other. If having a view is a concern, be sure to ask for room with exterior view.

Review 2：We arrived very early in the morning. We wanted to store our luggage there and explore Trondheim. Didn't expect our room to be ready until end of day. To our surprise, front desk staff told us our room was ready and we were welcome to occupy it then! Staff very friendly entire stay. Room, a suite, was exquisite. Gorgeous view, huge room and bathroom. Everthing spotlessly clean. Loved it. Wouldn't even consider another hotel in Trondheim.

Review 4：The staff were inconvenienced by Booking.com's listing advising that it was a family room when in fact it was anything but. However, we couldn't have been happier with their response to finding a solution for us.

Review 5：I excpected a lot more of the room (single-room with king-size bed). Through the window, I could se nothing but a big, black wall; it gave a sort of claustrophobic feeling to stay there. Very disappointing. Breakfast starting at 7 is a bit late on business trips; judging from the queue at 7:05, I guess many of the other guests agrees with me on that.

Review 11：The staff was skilled and friendly. The breakfast is justly famous, and the excellent hotel bar was open until late. You also can't beat the location: right in the middle of town and with very convenient public transport connections to the airport. My room was spacious, new and perfectly clean.

Review 28：There is nothing about the Scandic Bakklandet that I did not like. The staff is fantastic. The dining is superb. The location is excellent in relation to shopping, sight seeing, exploring local shops and restaurants, and transit access.

Review 32：If I had to pick one thing it would be the choice of food in the evening in the restaurant. Very small choice of courses and the same choice on the two consecutive nights we stayed there. You either had fish, a burger, pizza, steak or Caesar Salad. For such a central, well-reviewed hotel, I would have expected more choice. No one mentioned whether there was an a la carte menu or not, that was the only menu we were given. As we were tired we didn't want to go out somewhere else... Having said that, both the burger and the Caesar Salad were to die for, and huge portions!

Review 33：Loved the location, the great superior double room with river view on 4th floor (room 420), the room decor and layout, well, everything!!! Staff were extremely polite and helpful, whilst not intruding. Very clean room, comfortable bed, and loved the fact that you could open the windows!

Review 38：we are a family who like to take the stairs and we did find it a little disheartening that there were dust bunnies the size of cars in the stairs. But the good news is that they closed the stairs after the first night to mop! Yay! The parking was in a public lot and we found this very difficult to navigate. On our way out we had a difficult time finding th pay station and the hotel concierge was not able to aid in instructing us where to go. :(

Review 39：i found this place very comfortable. The concierge was super friendly and accommodating suggesting nice dinner spots and even allowing us to sit in the lobby to play cards. The breakfast was expansive and quite delicious. Even the pickiest of eaters would find something here. We stayed in the family room which was comfy and very cost effective though i might be getting a little old for a cot. ;)

Review 50：Staff at reception scruffy and unwelcoming Room not made up first day didn't expect to have to make my bed at four star hotel no selection of teas only apple raisin and cinnamon tea no tea spoons no attention to detail!.Crockery and cutlery had bits food left on it in breakfast room so had to check everything that I used . Twin room on the small side the hotel and staff had no heart a smile would have been nice I am half Norwegian its such a shame it could be really great place to stay so we wont be going back to that hotel and I am not a person who complains we were very disappointed!

Review 63：The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room had a wonderful view of the old warehouses and cathedral spire that is so characteristic of Trondheim. Good parking in the adjacent parking station. Room cosy but well designed. The bed was in the shape of a soccer ball and if you are a soccer fan ask for this room when you book.

Review 64：At the reception, we were given three different information from three different staff members (about the best way to reach the airport from the hotel and the possibility to have a taxi for 8 people). Very confusing!

Review 66：The attitude among the persons at the receptiondesk were nonchalant. The room was not properly clean out. The room for the breakfast was to small to host all tourists in July having breakfast at same time, around 9 AM.

Review 67：Excellent hotel, close to dining and shopping. The food in the hotel restaurant is very tasty and the breakfasts are terrific. Several different styles of eggs, pancakes, fresh made breads, sausages, bacon, cereals, fruits, cheeses, sliced meats, fresh honey on a honeycomb, fruits and pastries. Stayed two days and really looked forward to morning breakfast. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Hotel is beautifully decorated, rooms clean and modern. Hotel is also connected to a parking ramp. Highly recommend and would gladly stay again.

Review 86：Everything! We arrived early at 12 noon, not expecting to be able to check in, but were offered a choice of 2 rooms, both with views, for immediate check-in. Our room was very well furnished, clean and quiet with a view over the river and old wooden buildings. The hotel is located right on the river within easy walk of the old parts of town and main sights. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful.
