Reviews for La Maison Des Epices

Review 1:The bathroom didn't have a door, just a tent...not very practical!

Review 2:Imane, the girl who welcomed us in the riad, was delicious and careful. She helped us to find a nice place to have dinner when we arrived and prepared us a great breakfast in the morning. The Riad is bright and carefully furnished.

Review 3:The place is hard to find in the maze of El Jadida. The room was small. (Not with regards to the hotel, but be aware: there is not much to do in El Jadida)

Review 4:The hostess, Imane, was extremely helpful and understands western tourists. The room was clean and the riad was comfortable. Good breakfast.

Review 5:A little tricky to find, but well worth the effort.

Review 6:A beautiful riad with comfortable, well presented rooms and a warm welcome. Our host, Emane, was fantastic; she was very helpful, spoke very good English and served up a delicious breakfast.

Review 7:Might expect more for the money. Location was not what was shown on the booking.com map. No AC, but luckily it was not a hot night and a very small room.

Review 8:Incredibly slow wifi Left outside for 30 minutes in the evening in the dark with staff gone to get another customer! Kids throwing rocks at us!!! Poor breakfast Small room Expensive compared to other riads throughout morocco

Review 9:Nil

Review 10:It was not clear where we could leave our car on arrival.

Review 11:The riad is very nice. Staff was really kind and helpful, We stayed only one night, but we would have liked to stay one more. We had lunch at riad and it was great.

Review 12:Parking was difficult. Katrina was helpful but we had to move the car at night to an overnight location. Still, parking was only a 5 minute walk.

Review 13:Karima was a wonderful host. She met us at the car and was ready with advice and answers. The riad was warm and inviting. Breakfast was homemade and delicious.

Review 14:A bit difficult to find

Review 15:Location is beautiful and so close to the Cité Portugaise. It is a bit difficult to find, but it is a beautiful spacious riad. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was delicious.

Review 16:old city is not worth visiting, zero attraction for visitors, though corniche looked pleasant enough. Location of the riad is dreadful. The room was small and short of light and air.

Review 17:the manager was lovely - calm and pleasant though she didn't speak much English. Loved the scented candles, fire-pit with floating candles etc. Portuguese city was all closed up when we went around 9pm and we couldn't find any place to eat in the old town. saw Portuguese city next morning - good on the ramarts but I wouldnt detour to El Jadida just for this.

Review 18:Miss picks you up at the main street to find Riad in small streets

Review 19:The house is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated and large. Karima is a knowledgeable, gracious and helpful hostess.

Review 20:No air conditioning in the room, a bit more expensive than other Riads I've stayed during my trip through Morocco

Review 21:staff is great: the lady helped me orienting myself in the city, gave tips on where to eat, how to visit other cities and beaches, and even brought me to the bus station and helped me buying the bus ticket. Location is good, relatively easy to find (follow the signs to the Bordeaux hotel) and close to the Portuguese city. Riad is very new and clean, shower was good

Review 22:No door on toilets but this comes as part of arabic experience ;)

Review 23:Everything was excellent. Most comfy mattress we have slept on so far in any riads or hotels in Morroco. Quality showers. Posh and v. nice. Excellent service.

Review 24:It was a little hard to find at first, but once I was in the right street, the riad's own signage was excellent. A couple more signs off the main square at key turning points would be helpful.

Review 25:Wonderful oasis! The house and rooms are lovely and quiet, decorated in a very lovely personal style. And the hosts are so friendly and helpful. I felt like family, even though I stayed just one night. The breakfast was also excelent.
