Review 1：Inappropriate & derogatory comments made by the hotel owner, inconsistent hot water, not permitted to have a pizza delivered to the hotel (due to it being a "four star hotel", per owner).

Review 4：Almost everything. The valley itself and the area is wonderful, the Vila Dobra is at the end of Bovec, in a quiet area, the view is magical especially from the backside rooms with terrace. The house, the decorations, the ideas - all are superb and the food is simply fantastic. A hotel of high standard. I enjoyed every minute here.

Review 7：Design overshadows functionality to some extent. Little things that didn't work quite right - the wi-fi, the room air-conditioning. And dinner service was very slow. We waited more than 20 minutes just before bread and water even arrived. To give the benefit of the doubt, it seemed like they were short-staffed on this night.

Review 8：The Hotel Dobra Vila Bovec has a very cultivated sense of style and design. Everything in the hotel speaks to the owners' sense of taste, from the lobby decor (various knickknacks and books) to the artwork in the rooms and nice bath products. This part of Slovenia is quite gorgeous and serene too.

Review 10：Beautiful boutique Art Deco hotel . Lovely garden and terrace with stunning views across the mountains to enjoy anytime of day. Very good breakfast and would definitely recommend the tasting menu dinner, excellent value for a near Michelin star experience. Superb and personal service from the staff too.

Review 11：The Dobra Vila was an outstanding choice for us. Quiet, clean, pretty...a terrific breakfast buffet and a knockout view of the mountains. The staff is friendly, attentive, and thorough. The dinner offered in the evening for 36 Euro was really first rate. We hope to visit Slovenia again. Bovec was a great base, and we will certainly seek out this hotel again.

Review 12：Disappointing room had almost no view and little light from small high windows. Twin beds at opposite sides of room cannot be moved together so in no way is this suitable for a couple. Try to get double with balcony, that would be worth it.

Review 18：What didn't we like? It is fabulous from start to finish. Dinner is a steal and, by far, the best in Bovec. Mr Zaga and his staff are exceptional.

Review 28：The hotel is beautifully renovated post office in an amazing area with views over Julian Alps, I really liked the design and attention to details. The rooms all have a story and the numbers aren't like in normal hotels but go from 50 to 106 and 2030. Our room was 106 and had a beautiful terrace overlooking the Alps with sunbeds. The owner of the hotel is sooo nice, always smiling and helpful and everything is done with love. I loved how the flowers were everywhere and the hotel seems homey and friendly. I would really reccomend the stay here as its a beautiful jewel of small home-run hotels.

We were there in the off season, so some of the amenities were having maintenance which is understandable, but it is close to the outdoor attractions which was a plus and the hotel had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Review 38：Very poor room lighting (could not read a map without help from own torch) not helped by " 4 poster bed " canopy obscuring ceiling light. Restaurant menu is 3 or 4 course but there is only one , repeat one choice for each course. Shower ran from a very small, free standing Victorian type bath. Very claustrophobic with curtain drawn all around the bath. No bulb in light socket above washbasin

Review 39：A lot of thought has gone into the design of this hotel . It is very stylish with excellent decor and furniture. Beautiful mountain views from the bedroom and the balcony. Free car parking. Restaurant food was 1st class.

Review 40：Some very minor quibbles: Rooms at the front are next to one of the main roads into Bovec. Traffic is minimal, but if you're a light sleeper, you may get woken around 7am when it picks up. Some double-glazing would fix this easily. The flower room (50) feels a little dark, due to the wallpaper. The period style is great however. The bathroom is quite small, and the shower curtain feels cheap compared to the other fixtures - a glass door would be much classier. We didn't need anything from the minibar, but if we had been thirsty, it was extremely poorly stocked (no beer at all).

Review 41：Fantastic, friendly service from the two brothers who run this exceptional hotel. We really felt special. The building has an interesting if grim history, as it was the telephone exchange used by Mussolini and Hitler to communicate during WWII - but what a building! The art deco style has been lovingly restored. We had room 50, named after the 50 hairpin bends at the Vrsic pass, which we had driven to get to the hotel. Fantastic high ceiling and very roomy. Comfortable bed and nice furniture. We ended up eating dinner at the hotel two nights in a row, it was so good. The young chef is clearly ambitious, and the whole experience is wonderful. Breakfast was nothing short of fantastic - super-fresh fruit, homemade jams, great coffee, many small details like freshly baked mini cupcakes. We will definitely return!

Review 100：Matjaz was an outstanding, accommodating host for our one night stay in this beautiful, mountain inn. No detail was overlooked. The gardens and abundant floral arrangements were a taste of Provence in the foothills of the Julien Alps. The very tasteful decor was accented with fun, cheeky antique art posters. We happened to be the only guests and were fortunate to be treated as honored visitors by the chef and Matjaz, the manager. Our dinner was superb, equal to any we have experienced in major cities of the world. We asked to meet the chef and were surprised to see a very young man with the skills and sophistication of a much more seasoned professional. We highly recommend this Inn. In addition, Matjaz is kindly mailing a forgotten sport coat left behind in the wardrobe.

Review 107：We love this place, the people are so kind and friendly and create a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere- and they were so accommodating to our needs. The location at the end of the town with panoramic views of mountains, easy access to wonderful walking make this the perfect spot for one of the best places in the world!

Review 108：Plumbing. Toilet took 2hrs to fill with no fix offered. Difficult to regulate the room temp. Too cold then too hot. We were a dissorganised family regarding activities. A little better literature overview of what was available at the time of year. The best mountain/winter facilities I have stayed in had staff that had experienced what was on offer & could give 1st person accounts. I know it is difficult in a small business but I suggest making time to experience some of the activities your guests will experience. This can be done as a partnership with operators. Not a particularly homely bar though there were bars close by.

Lighting in rooms was so insufficient,that wasn´t possible to reed.Pendant light suggest office, not hotel room. TV set is so small sized, that next time I ´ll take telescope for watching. I don´t understand style of decoration,for me it is quite wild mixture of styles.
