Reviews for Manna
Review 1:I did not know that there is no elevator and my room was at the third floor and I had back operation so it was difficult for me
Review 2:Every thing was perfect and clean the breakfast was very nice and quantities excellent
Review 3:Design over comfort partly. In-room bath, you have to like that. Some staff a bit inattentive.
Review 4:Wonderful elegent old villa, excellent location, big room, great manager!
Review 5:There is no elevator in the hotel and if you are in second or third floor, you have a lot of very steep stairs which can be very tiring
Review 6:Good service, good and helpful staff, nice rooms
Review 7:Sound insulation isn't great and we were disturbed both nights of our stay by other guests returning. The breakfast although of good quality is fixed and I would have preferred more choice.
Review 8:Good quality of food
Review 9:Minor point, but there's quite some stairs. If you are not used to Dutch stairs, request a room on the first floor
Review 10:Fantastic rooms with beautiful interior and a personal touch. The staff is very friendly and speaks English perfectly. they go out of their way to accommodate your wishes and ensure you have the best possible stay. Both breakfast and dinner were some of the best we had in a while. Highly recommended!
Review 11:Even though it is a non smoking hotel, our room smelt strongly of smoke. We had a small balcony but we're so close to a busy road we couldn't sleep with the door open. However the air conditioning was excellent.
Review 12:Cool design hotel, fantastic huge breakfast included, good location near the station. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!
Review 13:Lovely room with small outside area which was excellent as weather was very good. Very helpful friendly staff and breakfast is excellent. Would stay here again.
Review 14:Some street noise in our room, but nothing too bad.
Review 15:The breakfast was outstanding. The design of the rooms and the hotel was really cool and modern. Great dinner at the restaurant too. Very nice, attentive service and nice amenities like complimentary juice, water and wifi in the room.
Review 16:No parking facilities, however we knew this before we booked!
Review 17:Excellent breakfast, well catered for my husband's gluten free diet! Professional staff, offering good customer service.
Review 18:Attention to detail. Really amazing staff. Travel every day, but this is one of the best hotels ever. Especially all the staff, fantastic. Amazing suites and a personal breakfast! Amazing.
Review 19:if you like to sleep with windows open, make sure you have a room at the back of the building. Too much traffic at front. Still: great place! Close acces to running tracks around the Waal River :)
Review 20:Location, styling, comfort, staff, suprisingly spacious, fireplace
Review 21:Not being able to stay a few more Nights.
Review 22:Everything the staff were each and everyone all wonderful, room was very cosy and comfortable and the food was superb.
Review 23:No on site parking (although paid parking available nearby). Stairs become harder to climb after dining downstairs.
Review 24:Beautifully decorated, modern hotel. Very comfortable bed, nice bath and shower. Superb restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Close to city centre.
Review 25:The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! I travel for my work to a lot of Hotels, but this was one of the nicest places! The dinner and breakfast where wonderful. Never have been to a place where even the smallest details (Hotel/dinner and breakfast) where thought of and are perfect!
Review 26:It was a bit dark in the room for my liking. The Nespresso machine didn't work and I'm not sure that I would ever use a bath tub located in the middle of the room, but that is just my opinion.
Review 27:It is nice for frequent travelers like me to come across unique hotels like Manna for a change of pace. I liked the decor, the space, the idea of free juice, water and Nespresso. The bed was very comfortable and the neighborhood was nice and quiet.
Review 28:The friendly welcome, the professional staffs, the clean and amazing rooms, the restaurant. The breakfast is limited (not a buffet) but excellent of quality and quantity. Really all details are 100%, best value for money I've seen in a long time.
Review 29:If disabled, this is hard work they need to look into a chair lift to start with as an example. This would help.
Review 30:Staff, most helpful, rooms 10/10 as with the food 10/10. Point to note 'NO LIFT' If disabled, this is hard work they need to look into a chair lift to start with as an example. This would help.
Review 31:Great location. Very cool rooms. Very friendly staff
Review 32:Amazing restaurant! One of the best culinary experiences of my life

Review 37:No elevator
Review 38:I liked the breakfast, free wifi, location of the Hotel. Very friendly staff.
Review 39:alleen het kussen vond ik te zacht
Review 40:Zeer smaakvol ingerichte kamer, zeer goed en vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk ontbijt!!!
Review 41:There was no towel hanger in bath room.
Review 42:Staff attitude, services
Review 43:No parking, no lift, understaffed
Review 44:Great food, beautiful rooms
Review 45:Nice fire place and bath
Review 46:Service Food Comfort
Review 47:On a big road - traffic (not a big bother)
Review 48:Room Food Service Close to city centre
Review 49:Hotel style, comfort and location
Review 50:Surly, unhelpful breakfast staff.
Review 51:Attractive hotel, good breakfast.
Review 52:With over 100 stays in Hotels a year I'am not very much in grading them, just to much work. But this is different. What a nice surprise was this! Beautiful interior, well thought thrugh. Excellent restaurant and very friendly staff.
Review 53:as a very minor item, we would have appreciated to be able to make tea in the room (Nespresso was available however)and soem more space to put toiletries.
Review 54:Fantastic hotel at good location and excellent restaurant. Breakfast was superb! We felt pampered during our stay here and would certainly come again!
Review 55:There isn't an elevator which to us wasn't a problem. Perhaps if you are older it might be. The staff insists on them carrying your luggage upstairs :)
Review 56:The atmosphere, the design, the breakfast was scrumptious!! The coffee, the room, it was all fantastic. We only stayed for the one night, but definitely coming back for a weekend.
Review 57:Just the fact I can't live in it!
Review 58:Staff, design, décor and food is simply remarkable! Highly recommend breakfast. Simply the best hotel I've ever experienced.
Review 59:Very, Very nice place, very attentive staff, fantastic food and excellent quality rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and even spent about 20 minutes helping me to park my car on a cold damp night. I would recommend this hotel for a nice winter romantic getaway for any ages, will try to return soon
Review 60:Nothing
Review 61:It is the second time I stayed and I am not disappointed : everything is excellent Thank you to all the staff for their friendliness and to the chef for the superb breakfast
Review 62:I think they should go over the room to show you how everything works,we had a hard time turning on the fireplace and never did get thefurnace turned on, shower hot water was just warm, sink washot...couldn't figure that one out, we stayed two nights and I feelthey should of left more soap and essentials..
Review 63:I thought the staff was very thoughtful and made you feel very welcome.
Review 64:Probably the only downside are the tipical steep&narrow dutch stairs
Review 65:Fantastic hotel. Spacious room (charity studio) with a modern design (yet warm & cozy) great view to the city and super comfortable bed. All atention to details you can think about. Staff was even better thatn the hotel itself: helpful and super firendly. Breakfast was fantastic, although as vegetarian my choices were limited. The second day already they customized a veg-breafast for me. I prefer to stay at small hotels rather than big chains (I travel often) so it was a great discovery: Superb hotel!! Manna goes right to the top3 list.
Review 66:In this price range I would expect a table in the restaurant to be kept available for hotel guests, which was not the case. Another disappointment was the 3% surcharge for using Amex.
Review 67:Beautiful hotel in a nice, central part of town. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. Food is great, especially breakfast!
Review 68:A few minor points can be raised. First, it was surprising that thestaf could not provide us with common "english breakfasttea". Second, beware that the hotel does not have an elevator, soyou need to be able to climb a few stairs. Third, at the back of thehotel are a few noisy bars, but when closing the windows, this noisewas not noticeable anymore.
Review 69:Manna is perfectly situated in down-town Nijmegen. The interior has beentastefully designed and combines modern and classic elements. The roomsare very comfortable. The breakfast is super, and is served at yourtable, containing sufficient items to allow you to skip lunch. The roomis equipped with a iMac for watching tv, listening to the radio andusing internet.
Review 70:Stairway is too narrow, but the room is a unique modern design make up for this flaw.
Review 71:good Location! Very good service. Breakfast was great! Bar design is very modern, like! I will stay next to Nijmegen this hotel
Review 72:Nothing!
Review 73:The hotel personnel were happy, relaxed and very friendly, which created an excellent ambience to our arrival and stay. The restaurant for dinner was excellent and breakfast was superb, Room was quirky and tastefully decorated with a high quality finish, A lovely patio area for relaxing was a great addition to an already lovely room.
Review 74:The service at Manna was outstanding. The best I have experienced in Holland. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday night and the food was top class. However the highlight had to be the breakfast, a smorgesboord of great food and fresh juice. Excellent
Review 75:It just wasn't as comfortable as we hoped. Everything looks nice, but for example when you want to get ready for a shower you realize there is no place to hang your towel or put fresh clothes, or put your soap / shampoo. We had to put everything on the ground. Also, the blanket on the bed felt like it had some sort of plastic bag inside of it. It made a lot of noise and felt uncomfortable. So because of the bad experience of the bathroom and waking up a couple of times at night because of the uncomfortable bed it made us feel like money not well spent.
Review 76:Design of the hotel looks really nice. Staff is more than friendly and really made us feel at home. Food is excellent.
Review 77:I liked everything. You do have to walk a few flights of stairs to get to your room, but that is the norm for the Netherlands ( and most of us Americans can use the exercise)
Review 78:The hotel is beautiful and has a very cool artsy ,but also comfortable vibe. They have imacs and 50inch plasma tvs in the guest rooms. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are VERY helpful. It was one of the best hotels I have been to in Europe.
Review 79:Double glased windows let the street noise to the room. Roof windowabove bed allows little draft to your neck when sleeping.
Review 80:Great staff. Nice, unique and individual hotel concept. Free internetand drinks in the room. Super good breakfast. Spacious room.
Review 81:I wish there was an elevator.
Review 82:Hotel is located at a convenient location, staff members are very nice, very good breakfast and a mac computer provided in the room.
Review 83:An additional and insisted charging of breakfast while already paid for.I elaborate on that: basically I am fine with paying for a 2 personsroom/stay with 2 persons breakfast included booked as such throughbooking.com while checking in there alone. I also indicated at check-inin the evening that still 2 persons could make use of this total bookingdepending on the dynamics of the weekend. Then at check-out the next dayI was being charged additional in full for a breakfast when I invited along old friend of mine to meet me up in the morning for breakfasttogether with me at the hotel. That feels awkward and somewhatincorrect. The staff insisted I had to pay additional in full though wewere only the 2 of us and my booking was included a 2 persons breakfast. The reason for the additional charge according the staff: because thefriend did not spend the night in my room but only joined me in themorning we apparently were doing something wrong according the staff. That almost feels like 'big brother'. I genuinely don't mindthe costs so much. The basic principle though and even more the littlefeeling of intrusion on a privacy level still feels awkward. That leftme with a somewhat bitter after taste of a perfectly wonderful weekendin Nijmegen.
Review 84:The quality and comfort was very good. Breakfast is wonderful and thewhole concept feels well thought, well matched and luxurious. I hadthe pleasure before of dining in the restaurant and it is also reallynice. The seats are a bit uncomfortable hard plastic but that is theonly short coming I think of a wonderful hotel and restaurant. Alsogreat location.
Review 85:Nothing. Apart from the fact that it is in a town that I can't imagine needing to visit much again and therefore would not be able to stay at Manna again :(
Review 86:Loved everything about this hotel. The service was beyond expectations; they remembered my name, my food preferences and couldn't do enough to help. The room itself was bliss - loved the technology luxuries (although I didn;t manage to work all of it out. Bed had amazingly comfortable sheets.Extras like free drinks in the room were a lovely bonus. Breakfast and restaurant food was perfect and not overly priced. I could have stayed in this little haven for much longer.
Review 87:Extremely cold bathroom, floor flooded after (careful) shower..., no place to hang the wet towels.
Review 88:Excellent breakfast (served until 12.00!!!) super friendly staff, beautiful design, outstanding value for money.
Review 89:Open shower and toilet. Very narrow and noisy stairs.
Review 90:It has the best modern designed rooms. So clean.
