Reviews for Hotel Vue
Review 1:Nothing....
Review 2:The bed was comfortable and the staff super nice. Breakfast was the best. Upon leaving both my wife and I said we couldn’t think of one thing wrong with the place, it was that well run. Oh and yes the view from the Restaurant is looking due north up the river.
Review 3:Bathroom was a little small and the bathroom openned into the foyer of the room which at times got in the way. The shower walls could of been a little cleaner it had some black mold in small areas. The shower area needed a soap diah & a towel holder also.
Review 4:Location, view was great staff extremely friendly. Overall this is a great hotel and we would stay again.
Review 5:Not a big deal - but - a shower curtain would be nice to have in the ROLL-IN SHOWER STALL - - just for those who feel the need of it.
Review 6:Friendliness of staff - clean, well-run establishment - one of the NICEST hotels in which I have stayed in YEARS.
Review 7:No napkins on the dining table.
Review 8:Price, cleanliness, view, friendly staff, full complimentary breakfast....not continental. Smell fresh. No pets. And lounge/restaurant beautifully decorated.
Review 9:Good experience, didnt like idea of pets being allowed to stay because we had neighbor with dog that barked periodically
Review 10:View,it was clean, easy to book, a wonderful experience
Review 11:The bar being closed due to a private party.
Review 12:Staff was friendly and very cordial. The facility was clean which is a must for me. Already making plans to return.
Review 13:My goodness...where do I start? I selected this hotel based on the picof the lobby and it being dog friendly. It is clear they sell roomsbased on the picture of the lobby (which is lovely). We brought oursmall and old 12 lb. Dog and when we arrived, the front desk was almostoffended and said they "do not have a pet friendly policy eventhough they advertise as such but they will accept our dog."Because we had the dog, we were relegated to a "barracks" asignificant distance away from the main hotel with no covered walkway tothe hotel. Note the following:*Almost non-existent handicapped access behind the building and not readily visible which created significant hardship for our elderly guest.*VERY poor security to the building. It is supposed to have "key only" access but someone had taped over the mechanism with duck tape so it would not lock. Anyone and everyone could access the building.*Rooms had no fire sprinklers*AC/Heat unit was VERY noisy*Toilet needed repair (would not flush properly) and was not sufficiently clean when we arrived.*Tile work in the bath incomplete*Shower head needed repair*The exhaust vent for the bath was very noisy and on the same switch as the light. This meant that if you wanted light in the bath you had to endure the noise.*No soap dish so residue and water all over the counter in bathroom*Microwave in the room was placed on top of the mini fridge but was too big so it was unstable.*The coffee maker in the room was obsolete and they did not have the right kind of filter for it. I managed to get some from the front desk but was told, "gee, we don't use that type of coffee maker anymore." No one thought to offer us an updated coffee maker at that time.*Beds ok, but bring your own pillow*and last but not least....I was washing my hands and looked down and there was a bug on my arm. I totally freaked out...
Review 14:The restaurant staff provided extraordinary service and attention. The housekeeping staff was very friendly. The front desk, not somuch. Additionally, it was convenient to have a microwave and minifridge in the room.
Review 15:Everything was first class. Room was very clean. Clerks were very helpful. Enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast was very good. Thank you. Billy & Linda Hull
Review 16:The receptionist was most disinterested in us when we arrived, the room safe didn't work even after an hours work by maintenance staff, the room wasn't cleaned properly or the bed made on our second night. No apology was really given. Not good at all
Review 17:The best thing about this hotel was the building
Review 18:I made 2 calls to this motel and talked to the manager 2 times. Both times the manager was rude and insulting. The first time I called was to ensure that pets were accepted. She told me we would only be allowed to stay in the old part; and if we wanted to cancel just cancel. That was not on the web site. She told me they couldn't put it on the web site because it wouldn't fit. The 2nd time I called was because they had charged our credit card twice. The room smelled but, I went out and purchased cleaner to make it OK.
Review 19:I loved the view of the Mississippi. Even though it was not from our room. The staff were very friendly except for the manager.
Review 20:the breakfast was quite disappointing, arrived 30 mn before the end and there was nothing left, however the breakfast staff was really nice.
Review 21:Amazing location, the rooms are very big and very comfortable, and the views on the river are great.
Review 22:Aircon noisey and broken. Toilet broken.Staff did attempt to fix toilet by regrout. Offered room change if unable to fix.. ( we should have moved as room was either so noisey or a hotbox and a/c not fixed.) WiFi very slow and cuts off.
Review 23:Staff and town sights.
Review 24:Pet travelers are relegated to an annex building that has not been renovated. Pet charge is an unexpected $75 per night. All this and you still pay full price for a dumb of a room. Non of this is noted in the web site booking process.
Review 25:No ATM in the lobby.
Review 26:Bed was extra comfy!!!! Be sure to get the hot breakfast it was great and the waitress was the nicest lady! She told us some really nice places to visit!
Review 27:services in both restaurant for breakfast and bar when it opened for the afternoon was terrible. in the bar, server forgot our appetizer order while in the restaurant, service to the table for coffee or juice order was nonexistent. Even when filling others for refills around us.
Review 28:location
Review 29:Nothing. Everything was excellent.
Review 30:The location and view from the hotel are superior. The hotel facilities are extraordinary. The suite was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good on a beautiful and luxurious setting. The staff was courteous, helpful and proactive.
Review 31:We arrived tto be met by children playing bat and ball in the corridor. The room smelt terrible there was do mine else's good in the fridge and the hotel is under refurbishment so the restaurant was closed off however you could get a bar Snack It said it was near town but it was a 2 mile walk. We did make a vompliaint so they came and sprayed the room as they had no there's free and all this did was make the carpet wet. We checked out in the morning and said we did not agree for the full price to be charged as we only got half the facilities we were told to go back at 11 to see the manager which ee did and we were told them that it was the other manger ed had to see or speak to on Monday. My advice there are plenty of b&bs in town
Review 32:The view from the bar window of the mississippi
Review 33:This property had a restaurant inside so that when it started raining, there was no need to leave. The room was great! The water in the shower stayed hot. The fridge was so cold it actually froze my coca~cola. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Review 34:Nothing, it was all great from the time we walked in to the hoteluntil we left.
Review 35:Just as the name says, the View from my room was awesome. The roomoverlooked the Mississippi Bridge and the sight was breath taking atnight. My wife couldn't believe what I paid for our room when I toldher, she thought it was more than I told her.
Review 36:Overpriced for a one night stay. Staff was initially unable to locate my reservation and gave me a contact number to the reconcile the issue myself. Fortunately the facility had free WiFi and I was able to connect with my booking site. They contacted the hotel and found my reservation.
Review 37:Family friendly hotel with warm staff. Spacious, clean room.
Review 38:There was a notable difference in cleanliness between cleaning crews. It was wonderful coming in from being out and about on Friday with everything being perfectly clean and ordered. On Saturday, I didn't get all my towels again, was missing a bath mat, and my trash wasn't taken out. There was a marked difference from one day to the other.
Review 39:overall it was great experience and was a wonderful stay.
Review 40:Pool closes at ten. The security guard must think he's on prison duty. Came out yelling!
Review 41:The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great!
Review 42:My dead but didn't lock and the maid came in without knocking after we checked in. Thankfully, I was done pumping already. When I asked about some romantic things to do in the area, I was just referred to the visiting center.
Review 43:The view from our suite was great and lots of pillows! Nicely updated.
Review 44:We loved everything!
Review 45:The view of the river was excellent from our room. The room itself was as nice as I've ever experienced in years of traveling for business. The staff was wonderful. Spend a little more and get a room overlooking the pool and the river.
Review 46:Room was slightly damp/stuffy upon arrival, but once we got the air conditioning going, it was fine. A very minor and insignificant complaint. All else was wonderful!
Review 47:The view was incredible and the rooms/property are absolutely perfect, especially given the price! The included breakfast was great! Pool was nice also.
Review 48:People parting at the pool at mid night my room overlooked the pool call to front desk they said they would take care of.had to call again And start getting loud with the person to get anything done
Review 49:Room I was in with the jacuzzi bath
Review 50:Clean rooms, comfortable beds, a beautiful view of the Mississippi River, courteous staff and all at an affordable rate. The Vue is our hotel of choice in the Natchez area.
Review 51:The hotel décor was impressive, the staff friendly, the bar and restaurant was fun and delicious. The breakfast service was outstanding and the food perfect to start our day. The location was right on the highway and the view of the Mississippi from the bluffs was impressive. Most of all the price was affordable!!
Review 52:My daughter was taking me as a Mother's Day gift only to find that the room AC wasn't working and the lounge and restaurant had been reserved. I wish we had had prior notice for we would have booked another hotel.
Review 53:Bathroom door wouldn't stay closed. Commode was loose. Whirlpool was too small and insufficient jets. Restaurant menu was limited. Exterior door locks did not work.
Review 54:The view of the MS River from the dining area.
Review 55:Pool had not yet been prepared for use - had algae and debris in both full-size & hot tub.
Review 56:Attention to detail in all phases - staff, amenities, pricing of rooms.
Review 57:Check in was at 3pm but we had to wait another hour because the room was not ready. We weren't able to use the pool because "there was no one there to clean it!"
Review 58:There was nothing i didn't like about your hotel.
Review 59:I loved the fact that my room had an amazing view and plenty of room for me too work. Not to mention that the bed were amazingly comfortable.
Review 60:The music played in the breakfast area was too loud. There was no direction about what to do for breakfast...you just had to figure it out for yourself. You sit down and are served your plate of hot (and pretty tasty) food, from a server who seemed overly and not particularly sincerely cheerful.
Review 61:The mattress was good, things were clean, the shower had great water pressure, the room furnishings were in good condition. The full hot breakfast was nice.
Review 62:The room was brilliant and the view of the Mississippi was mind blowing. Thank you for turning on a great sunset too. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 63:The little man serving breakfast was a bit odd - he just slapped a meal down in front of everyone, no options offered, and if you asked for something else like juice - the response was a grunt. The food itself was OK though.
Review 64:The view, comfortable room, laundry.
Review 65:Front desk employee poor attitude when we arrived because our room was not ready and she chose not to look for another room for us but in fact had us sit at the pool for almost 2 hrs and never came out to say it was ready even though she was out for a smoke twice
Review 66:Location - new condition of room and hotel and very good breakfast and the view was beautiful on the Mississippi - we did have dirty towels in our bathroom after room was cleaned from previous guests that overstayed.
Review 67:Had a prob with WIFI but that's not the Hotel fault.
Review 68:Loved the View and everything around, can't wait to go back again. The people at D.Q. And Ruby Tuesday and at the Vue Hotel where very nice.
Review 69:Mix up at check-in was not handled too well, they first said they could not give us another room even though the first room looked like it was occupied and not ready for a new assignment.
Review 70:View was great in the first room but it was not ready for reassignment. The second room on the first floor had no view. Breakfast was good and did have a great view of the river.
Review 71:The restaurant was closed but reasonable food available in bar. The breakfast was served as a plate of eggs, bacon etc, with no choice. Unfortunately the cable supplying wifi and TV was down for most of our stay (not the fault of the hotel)!
Review 72:Very comfortable. Good location, quiet, modern
Review 73:Chair should have been fixed that day not left Offer to move us should have happened right away breakfast was served with out a choice at all
Review 74:Location clean comfortable
Review 75:The restaurant didn't have much to offer.
Review 76:Our first impression was great. The lobby was beautiful walking in. The free continental breakfast was excellent. Our room was beautiful with a nice view of the Mississippi River.
Review 77:No mat in shower, wife fell, but luckily didn't hurt herself. Mattress ready for refresh.
Review 78:Hotel was clean and staff were very pleasant. The free breakfast was a full meal, not just fast food. No real choices however. The rooms could use some updating - looked more 1960's, but got a reasonable price.
Review 79:Marilyn was extremely helpful to us as we booked through Booking.com but when we arrived, they were full...Marilyn went out of her way to accommodate us and was very helpful and sympathetic toward us.
Review 80:One thing only: a massive overdose of salt in our otherwise excellent room service dinner.
Review 81:The view from our room of the Mississippi, the room itself, the staff, the hotel decor and the location.
Review 82:Breakfast was not very good, cold when served. No cereal or toast options.
Review 83:Location is very good we had views over the river, tho slightly restricted. Beds are so comfortable you will want to hibernate. Staff are so very pleasant and friendly
Review 84:The tub floor was slippery and as a senior citizens that was a potential problem for us.
Review 85:Staff was friendly and accommodating in everything aspect of our stay. Ms. Lane was outstanding, always friendly and doing all she could to make our stay the best. The room was as advertised and more...excellent in decor and comfort. The location was very convenient to Natchez and directly across the street from the Welcome Center. Could not have asked for more!
Review 86:The price was a little more than I usually pay, however, well worth it for the exceptional stay.
Review 87:Great location for Natchez Balloon Race!! The staff was exceptionally accommodating. My experience was above my expectations.
Review 88:The hot tub was not clean I saw green mold and it was not even hot, warm at best.... the pool was clean but very cold. I booked this hotel for the hot tub and was not happy at all.
Review 89:I liked the hotel in so many ways...
Review 90:Breakfast was awful. Tailored to American tastes. No English tea. Didn't stay for second breakfast.
Review 91:Location and spacious room with good view of bridge. Laundry facilities and pool.
Review 92:Ate in an empty restaurant. Twenty minutes after ordering was then told my choice dish was not available!!! No choice at breakfast, a cooked and truly awful fried plate of food presented. Will never come back.
Review 93:The view from the hotel
Review 94:Cheap furniture, wires to Tv showing Glassware in room, not plastic ware, for water and coffee Front door of hotel dirty, entryway needed cleaning Soap smelled and felt like Lava, shampoo used No flat screen tv Towels old and unraveling Looks like they took old Ramada Inn, cleaned it, and reused everything. Hotel restaurant/bar not opened. THE "new" Vue is a hoax. Pay extra $25 bucks and stay at Natchez. Very disappointed at Vue. :)
Review 95:Staff friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable Allowed early check-in Pool area seemed clean Fridge/microwave Breakfast okay
Review 96:The air nor the telephone nor the overhead light worked. We checked in on Sunday afternoon and were told nothing could even be looked at until Monday morning.
Review 97:The location was perfect and the pool was very clean and enjoyable. The breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent.
Review 98:Overall feeling of decline. Old TV and rooms smell like cigarette. Very old carpets throughout.
Review 99:Dining room very nice. Loved the white, starched, tablecloths and service. Good shower.
Review 100:The bed sheets were worn-but clean. The room had a somewhat "musty" smell at first, but this went away after a little while. General room décor was a little outdated.
Review 101:The hotel staff were friendly and courteous. The location was very good and close to many attractions. The continental breakfast was excellent.
Review 102:The room smelled like they had cleaned the carpets and didn't give it time to dry - very damp smell - other than that the room was great.
Review 103:The restaurant was great - very reasonable prices and food was delicious...staff was amazing!
Review 104:A plate of biscuit and gravy is not an ideal breakfast for everyone. We found wet and dirty towels in our room from former guests not removed by the cleaning staff.
Review 105:The view. They up-graded us to the suite. Nice and friendly staff
Review 106:As soon as you walked into the lobby there was an overwhelming musty or mold smell and the room was even worse. The elevator was in need of maintenance and the powdered eggs served every morning were awful. Housekeeping forgot to place towels in our room and we were told that we could come down to the desk and pick up our own towels. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
Review 107:The view of the river was the only thing going for this hotel and the pool was nice.
Review 108:Very quite and a nice view from window. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our breakfast and server, nice not to have a cereal, roll and serving buffet. Would stay again in back in Natchez. Thanks
Review 109:The only thing that we did not like, and it was minor, is that the towels were stained and had tears in them. While they worked the same, this did not go with the overall image of the hotel.
Review 110:Loved this place! The room was spacious, had a king bed, sofa, chair desk, frige, microwave, all you could want. The included breakfast was top notch! The swimming pool was clean and overlooked the river. Room had a great view. Could not believe that I got all this for just $99 a night. We will come back.
Review 111:Driveway leading up to the property was full of potholes. Outside of property looked bad. Lady who checked us in very unfriendly. Hallways and elevator smelled very bad. No towels or toiletries in the room. When we called down for more, we were told they didn't think they had any towels but if she found some we would have to come get them. Outside doors did not lock. No security lights of any kind in parking lot. Breakfast waiter was beyond rude. They tried to overcharge us when we checked out then refused to call the manager because it was early on Sunday and they didn't want to bother them. My recommendation, there are a lot of nicer hotels for same or better money.
Review 112:The view of the river.
