Reviews for Strandflickornas Havshotell
Review 1:The least expensive rooms are very (too?) small for two people--the antiques take up space that might be better used for a place to store suitcase.
Review 2:Wonderful location near the nature reserve. Sea view from the room and close walking distance to beach. Comfortable, historic furnishings. The outside garden was lovely. The availability of tea and cookies 24 hrs a day was a nice touch.
Review 3:the size of the room was very limited. The mattress was to soft in my opinion so after three nights I left the hotel with some pain on my back. Old fashioned room.
Review 4:Nice breakfast room
Review 5:Only issue was dinner. We were told is was from 5-7pm when we checked in at 2:30. At 3:30 when we asked to have dinner there, we were told they were full. This would have been good to know at check-in. Can be extremely windy as well, the first day is was almost impossible to even walk around.
Review 6:Location was fantastic, cost was actually less than shown on original booking.
Review 7:My daughter and I booked a double room, but had to sleep in a slightly larger than twin sized bed together. Verify 2 beds if that is what you require.
Review 8:Absolutely loved the decor and ambiance. Tea/coffee and cookies available all day in the breakfast room. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Each room decorated with a different theme. Cozy and friendly.
Review 9:Staff were extremely knowledgeable and had good recommendations. Great location. The outdoor dining space of the property was amazing and had great view.
Review 10:Not the biggest room. Poor selection of tv-channels. Be aware that on a Monday night in Lysekil during off season pretty much every restaurant is closed.
Review 11:Cosy and cute interior, great view from the top floor (balcony), located in a quiet part of town
Review 12:Pillows smelled dusty, causing an allergy attack. Summer duvet which they cheerfully supplemented with a duplicate. Room was tiny. TV was tiny as well, and only 4 basic channels. Windows were original, single glass and rather drafty. Some decorative effects were disturbing in a rather creepy way, dead peoples clothing placed around the room that did not contribute positively to the cozy setting that one would expect.
Review 13:Breakfast was lovely, great atmosphere, located in a quiet area, excellent shower, free parking across the street, friendly, accommodating staff. The room was reasonably warm.
Review 14:Town closed in off season. Should warn guests so they can put in dinner request before arrival.
Review 15:Very friendly staff. Good breakfast, seafood dinner amazing. Excellent location next to Nature Reserve for hiking.
Review 16:The rooms are fine for 1 person, but too small for two persons. Room is rather for sleeping than spending time during the day.
Review 17:The location is perfect a few steps away from Lysekil's promenade. The hotel is a boutique style place in an old wooden house. This is definitely the first choice in Lysekil.
Review 18:very clean room/bathroom
Review 19:-wifi is a little unstable or nonexisting in parts of the room
Review 20:freindly staff. cozy. very nice place to relax
Review 21:The location is excellent, very close to the sea. Nice, historical with many nice areas to have a break outside.
Review 22:Fantastic location and atmosphere. Beautiful surroundings and a unique old style hotel!
Review 23:The style end grace of the building combined with friendly staff.
Review 24:Beautiful old hotel in a superb location overlooking the coast
Review 25:Too small room for two and the pillow was smelling old! Bathroom shower flooded and there was no floor wiper to dry it.
Review 26:The friendly good service and the atmosphere and the location. Excellent fish soup and nice breakfast.
Review 27:Room was very cramped Given small size of room, far too many ornaments to knock into No easy chairs downstairs to relax in - no room in bedroom for these.
Review 28:Staff helpfulness Position Access to hot water, coffee etc all day Comfort of beds
Review 29:Squeaky floor boards in our room.
Review 30:Eclectic & period suited decor of hotel. Large deck with stunning view. Number of outdoor sitting areas. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent location near beach, ferries, national park, shops etc. Fantastic breakfast & availability of light dinners.
Review 31:Bathroom was a bit cramped but adequate. Stairs coming into buildingneed better support for the elderly and very poor for any withdisability. There might be a way to make better entry for those folk asthere are many bedrooms on the first floor once they get inside.
Review 32:They take maximum advantage of the hotel location on the rocks withvaried seating and tables in every nook, carnny, and perch. This, combined with the variety of bedrooms (we had two) makes for interest ina building with an interesting history. The breakfast was excellent andin light, airy surroundings but could be taken outside on a seasidecliff. We would recommend to family and friends and advise a two-daystay with side trips with a return there. We hope to return, and formultipl nights.
Review 33:Sloping ceiling above head - difficult not to bang your head when getting into and out of bed - even if you're small!
Review 34:Lovely atmosphere and our own balcony. Super staff.
Review 35:menu although very goo, was limited.
Review 36:The hotel is very quaint. My friend described it best by saying it was like walking into an Ingrid Bergman film. Excellent
Review 37:The location was excellent, right next to a large nature preserve. It was possible to go for walks along the coastline and explore beautiful rock formations. The views were outstanding. The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was very good.
Review 38:Some building work going on with some minimal impact on the experience
Review 39:Great location and very comfortable . Very good breakfast .Excellent staff , very helpful and friendly
Review 40:As a business traveler in winter season, I missed a gym. Spa facilities are only available if you book a specific spa stay.
Review 41:Quiet location by the sea, great Scandinavian breakfast
Review 42:The size of what was described as a double bed - exceptionally small - the only thing that marred an otherwise perfect stay
Review 43:Wonderful wam welcome, lovely decor, clean and nicely situated
Review 44:The breakfast area was overcrowded as the hotel was fully booked during my stay
Review 45:This is a boutique hotel with atmosphere and great surroundings. Great place to unwind. Had a quality dinner on site, but many nearby opportunities exist too.
Review 46:We liked everything!
Review 47:Picturesque older building on the seaside that is adjacent to a beautiful and accessible nature preserve. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fine full breakfast and excellent shrimp sandwiches and fish soup at their small restaurant in the evening. Comfortable outdoor seating areas with blankets, if needed. Very nice period furnishings in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Gorgeous view of sea and islands.
