Review 2：Modern and clean hostel located in a historical building with some splendid views. Convenient location close to the bus stop and supermarket. Parking in front of the hostel.

Review 7：Beds are a bit hard, and it's maybe too quiet. The only place you can get WiFi is in the common area. The location of Sao Roque is pretty far from Madalena and there are few options around for restaurants or bars. That said, you need a car for exploring Pico properly anyway!

Review 14：Facilities of São Roque are limited. Sometimes the ferry will not call at São Roque without or at a very short notice. Pico airport prone to cancellations due to weather-conditions.
Review 15：Very special atmosphere. Clean. Free PC and wi-fi. I was given a whole 6-bed room for myself. Kitchen facilities. Great staff that gives good advice. Thanks to this fact a taxi at 05:00 AM to the trailhead of Pico (€25). Good location, 3-hour walk back from the trailhead. Another walk starts just outside the hostel.
Review 16：The ceiling/floor are wooden and very thin. Everything is vibrating when someone walks, and everything can be heard through, which is annoying if your room is above the dining room. The mattresses are the cheapest possible ones: they're too soft and I could feel the springs (or whatever it was that) in it. The cushions are extremely hard and thick.
Review 17：The house used to be a monastery. The style is fantastic and the way how they make it into a hostel is great. All the thick walls are still there. The hostel is eaeily accessibile by car and has a great parking space. The staff was also helpful.

One of reception workers was really good, offered information about what to see and where to go. Breakfast was "eat as much as you can"
