Review 1：Everything was great, even the night party from the nearby hotel that kept us partly awake. We enjoyed watching them singing and dancing outside in -1 C!!
Review 2：Pleased to have stayed in such a clean, warm and traditional house! We enjoyed the really "different" breakfast! Although the friendly owners didn't speak English, we were able to communicate! Ideal for those who have a car (secure private parking). If you don't, you have to take the frequent local bus service because it's 4-5 Km from the center of Smolyan city.

Review 5：The staff were very friendly and helpful, the owner even let us borrow his car for the day. The room was clean and extremely comfortable, we loved the old style charm.

Review 7：We chose this place for it's high mark in booking and we were not disappointed. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff and owner were friendly and the location is great if you are there for exploring the nature and villages and eco paths around Smolyan. A 15 minute bus ride will take you to the centre of the city, the bus stop is 5 minutes away. The location was quiet enough if you want to rest. Will definitely stay there again this spring.
Review 8：The hotel was really great. The atmosphere was very special, the food in the restaurant was delicious and the location was nice (in a very peaceful area). I would definitely recommend it. The owner of the hotel even bought me flowers for my birthday, which was such a nice gesture. I really loved it there.

The hotel room was new,modern, very clean, very inviting, and especially beautiful with the traditional Bulgarian architectural elements. Bathroom is newly done! Petko Takov's House is in a wonderful part of Smolyan-very quiet and relaxing. The hotel is close to Pamporovo and other attractions in the Rhodope Mountains which makes it easy to travel around the area and return to the hotel. Make sure to also eat at their tasty traditional "mehana" offering delicious Bulgarian food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Enjoy as much as we did!

However after the 1st night we were moved to a bigger room with no extra charge. - Very good breakfast and nice food in the restaurant.

Review 28：We had an absolutely amazing experience in this hotel. It is run by a family and you immediately feel at home. Rooms are large, traditionally styled, very clean, everything is brand new and super comfy. The atmosphere is quite romantic. As Petko had spare rooms, he immediately upgraded us and we got a room with jacuzzi. Don't miss the restaurant downstairs.
