Reviews for Auberge Ayouze
Review 1:Brilliant little hotel in an amazing location in the Ourika Valley with stunning views from the terraces. Really friendly and helpful (and multilingual!) owner. I'd recommend having dinner here too- excellent tajines (best I had in Morocco). And a woodburning stove in the dining room- perfect place to sit in the evening and meet other guests.
Review 2:An excellent host and a beautiful scenic place just outside Ait Ben Haddou, away from the very touristy center, to us a big plus. We walked from here to Ksar along the river, wonderful. We loved the pancakes at breakfast and also the bread was warm and fresh. WiFi good, also in the room. Parking in front of the door. Watched some beautiful shooting stars from the roof terras at night. We ended up staying two nights more then planned and made day trips to Ksar, flint and Ourzazate from here because it was such a nice place to stay.
Review 3:Rooms are a little bit basic.
Review 4:Good food, nice view from the balcony and kind staff. Also the location is nice because it's not in the center of Aït Ben Haddou but a little bit outside of all the touristy hassle.
Review 5:- Location, overlooking Ait Ben Haddou 3km away and (part of) the Ksar; fantastic experience was taking a 45-60' walk across country side, river, plateau to reach the Ksar from a backroad - Friendliness of staff; after dinner we were invited to play Berber music with a staff member - Super quiet place almost monastic, sleep quality - Rooms have a small outdoor terrace - Value
Review 6:Heating was not in the price.
Review 7:Location - regarding to the Ait Ben Haddou, it is ok, and the view from their terrace is unforgattable! Staff - friendly, easy-going, straight, helpful. Good service
Review 8:Location-The hotel is 3 kilometers from the kashba and inconvenient if you do not have your transport. Yet it is an easy walk to the kashba about 35-40 minutes. There are semi-steep steps to get up to the hotel, but the staff is glad to assist with luggage.
Review 9:Hotel has beautiful, impeccably well-maintained rooms. Our room was designed and tastefully decorated in a traditional Berber style. We booked a double bed with an en suite bathroom and private balcony overlooking the desert and the landscape. The Auberge is decorated in typical Morrocan style, but what makes this place special are the tastefully built rooms situated on one level in a small central courtyard. The room itself is decorated in a tasteful and thoughtful Berber style with wooden beams in the ceiling, lovely furniture and nice room layout. The room itself is not large, but enough room for two people and luggage. The bathroom is a nice size and has a window with a view and the door that opens to the private balcony with a tile table and chairs. Hot water was plentiful and everything worked; electricity, toilet, sink and shower. Soap, bedding/sheets and towels were included with the room plus wifi internet, safe parking and a Moroccan breakfast. The room, linens, bath, shower were very clean. The entire room was well taken care of and maintained. Positives and Points to Consider– Building is perched above the street level. Parking is safe and convenient down at street level along the side of the building. Once inside the building our room was down a hall on the first level. Wifi connection was good. The breakfast was served in the large event room downstairs. The breakfast was lovely and presentation was exquisite in all Moroccan style. The only down side is the room itself is too large, perhaps used for large events which made the room chilly and inviting. Perhaps the owner would consider a different place to serve breakfast that would allow the guests to enjoy the view and the landscaping. The owner and his assistant were very cordial and made us feel very welcome. The owner prepares the breakfast himself and takes great pride in his hotel.
Review 10:Arriving at the guest house after an exhausting drive was a real pleasure. There was a lovely terrace area with great views over the valley and the kasbah, coupled with the most welcoming of staff. The food was the best Moroccan food that we are over our 16 day trip- and we were lucky enough to have all staff performing music for us and sharing jokes. We even had a man session with them ourselves!
Review 11:The room was very very dusty. I understand it is the desert but other places we stayed nearby were not so dusty.
Review 12:The owners are extremely friendly and the food is delicious! Make sure you have dinner there as options are limited in town.
Review 13:The boss of the Aubergue was too standoffish. We couldn't enter the Aubergue till 4p.m. It is charged an extra 5% (not mentioned in the previous info about the aubergue) if you pay with credit card. We were supposed to have a climatized room but there wasn't any air conditioning inside.
Review 14:The staff of the Aubergue was very nice and very friendly. At night we had a tea and chat some hours with them. They were really hospitable and gave us very good advices to keep on with our trip.
Review 15:Very nice and friendly people. Everything fine. :)
Review 16:access road makes you feel like your tires were square-shaped a lot of annoying flies
Review 17:very calm and peaceful place great view
Review 18:laid back, quiet place, in the next village from aid benhadou. nice staff, basic but well designed rooms. great value for your money!

Review 20:Quiet and peaceful! You'd be amazed by the lovely view from the terrace.
Review 21:A door in the bathroom instead of a courtain would have been nice. But I loved it anyway. Totally recommend it.
Review 22:I absolutely loved staying here. Nice friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, they provide entertainment with dinner, the best dinner by the way. They make you feel very welcome.
Review 23:Extremely hospitable host, very chilled, relaxed place with wonderful views
Review 24:not bad at all, a normal place to stay for a night
