Review 1：Hotel clerk charged card before I checked in, still waiting for reimbursement for 3 days which shouldn't have been charged to credit card, hotel clerk said check in time is not the same as that advertised through booking.com; Hotel staff VERY unprofessional calling Red Roof Inn of Baton Rouge a "crackhead" hotel. I couldn't believe the way these people handled themselves and their behavior being "front desk" staff members. Hotel advertised wifi, WAS NOT available, hotel advertised pet friendly with no regards to stating extra charge per night for pets. Television was '90s version of television, cable WAS NOT hooked up to tv correctly.

Review 2：The furniture looked like something that was picked up off the side of the road. The curtains, bed comforter, and furniture did not match. The room was painted this weird textured white with no trim or art work. The bed was mildly comfortable. It seemed really thrown together. This seems like more of the type of hotel that sketchy junkies would stay at, rather than a couple looking for a nice, comfortable weekend together.

Review 4：Its a very unattractive place. All the rooms were at the back of the building. My daughter heard gun shots. She didn't want to stay but I had paid $53 already. The furniture was old. It was a roach in the refrigerator. Its was a nonsmoking room but smell like smoke.

Review 14：First room did not lock, so that caused us to have to switch to another room. The second room was full of gnats and roaches. There was no bottom sheet on bed either. Also, we booked and paid for a queen but only got a full. Then there was breakfast. At 8 am our FAMILY of 5 went eat. She would not fill the juice up so my children had to drink water with their meal. Nor would she go get more bread so that we could have toast. This caused us to just go home and not even continue our vacation. The bites on our bodies were horiffic.

Review 16：Horrible! Sheets not washed. Our feet were black from the dirt on the floor. Very unsafe. We all piled in one room and didn't use the other room we paid for because of the unsafe surroundings. All hotels close were booked so we had to stay.

Review 17：First room,door to bathroom had been busted in and wouldn't shut, front door wouldn't lock, filthy, carpet wet, trash under bed. Second room, blood on inside of front door, tub did NOT work, meaning water wouldn't come out of it, toilet wouldn't flush right, and people screamed cussed and yelled all night. Plus WiFi never worked.

Review 19：I booked 2 non smoking rooms and received 2 smoking rooms. The doors bed sheets floors telephone and all were nasty. The lady at the front traci was very rude when we were told by the manager that we would be moved to another room she refused and i told her the manager said that we were to be moved and she told me she didn't care what the manager said she wasn't going to move me.

Review 26：I have nothing i can say that i like about my stay. Our main trip was so my children could go swimming one whole day they close the pool because of strong chemicals. They could have done that at night. It enough the pool doesnt open til noon. The pillows are flat there are burn marks in the sheets. No stopper for the tub. Hardly give u towels. When maid comes to room u have to throw the trash and put the new bag in. To sum it up it was horrible i would pay more money to stay aomewhere else.

Review 27：Was in my booking that it had two queen beds, the beds were much smaller than that. Tight for four people. Saw one roach. Housekeeping woke us up at 8:30 every morning.

Review 35：That at check in the lights were out & they were out for five hours after check in. When I tried talking to the general manager about the situation she was very unprofessional & didn't handle the situation professional. They were very rude & jus walked away with no concerns. Being a manager she should've handle the situation but she didn't want to. It was nothing she could do about it but it was hours I missed at my room then I had to be somewhere for 8 had to fine somewhere else to get dress came that was the purpose of the room! I will never visit there again a simple apology & a discount of the room wouldve been fair

Review 36：The room was disgusting. The floor was filthy and looked like had not been cleaned in years. The comforters had rips and tears and we aren't even sure that the sheets were clean. There was only one working light and it was from a lamp that the bulb was hanging from. The room smelled old and dirty and musty. The bathroom was dirty and the tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned. We paid close to $100 to stay in a room that we would have been better off sleeping in our car on the side of the road.

Review 38：This place is a low budget extended stay motel. The room's furniture and bed are extremely worn. There were guests loitering around the parking lot and sitting by their doors. We ordered a non-smoking room. When I entered, I was knocked over by the smell of smoke. The dresser had cigarette burns on the top and the lamp had dirt caked around the base. Wife and I could not get out fast enough.

Review 42：Where do I start. The activity going on in the parking lot got me worried. People yelling to each other from one building to the next. Front desk person did not look or act like a professional. A lot of commotion over a female that they couldn't find. Unsavory men hanging around in the parking area n my grandson n I were approached by a guy who asked for $8 to be able to pay for their room. I refused n said I couldn't help him n he went n asked my grandson when he was unloading luggage. My grandson who was afraid gave him what he had which was $10. I didn't get into the room yet n when I finally got in there at first it looked okay. I went over to the office n spoke to the clerk. She calls security and he is not dressed in uniform. He looked worst than the guys hanging around in the parking lot. The room was worst n my grandchildren were scared n the room was dirty n they didn't want me to leave room again. Front door looked patched with gyp caulk n no chain on door, tub stained or dirty, no hangers, 2 bath towels, no face or washcloths. Stains on sheets, n to top it off, not even a trash can. After calming my grandchildren down I didn't sleep n loud talking outside. We didn't take a shower n all we did was brush our teeth. I asked if we could change our room or check out n money refunded. We were there for a few hours already trying to get another hotel but non available nearby. I had already driven all the way from Orlando n very tired n irritable. Did not want to deal with it. We moved to Motel 6 next door for the next night. Could not drive to Houston because no sleep. Would not ever stay there again. Traveler BEWARE!!!!

Review 49：We were in Louisiana for my nephews funeral, we had two rooms. Room one had a large hole in the carpet, the shower rod was so rusted along the wall it had holes in it, the blankets had large holes in them, there was no phone, or iron. Room two the blankets had large holes in them. And the refrigerator didn't work. Housekeeping was very rude we had asked for extra towels (we had 6 adults and one child) and were told they didn't have anything extra and so she wouldn't bring us two fresh towels unless we gave her the ones that were in our room. She had to bring them later,she said they didn't have any clean while she was doing her cleaning. The pool was very nasty and green in color. We had went to the office to get another key when we walked in the whole office smelled like marijuana, not sure why they have a security person as we never saw him leave the office. Both nights we stayed there were 7or 8 undercover officers speeding through the lot ,not sure why that was. Overall this place felt like a cheap ,seedy pay by the hour kinda place. There is no way I would ever recommend this hotel to anyone and I will never choose this place again if we ever visit Louisiana again.

We weren't sure if someone was staying there still, took a nap and left, or the room never got cleaned from the previous stay. We turned around and headed to the car.

Review 107：Location right off the interstate is what drew us to book there. The front desk clerk rolled her eyes as if our experience had happened before and gave our money back without argument.
