Reviews for Sandmoen Bed & Breakfast
Review 1:On Monday I booked and paid for three cheap single rooms. But when we arrived they told ut that one of the rooms in there system was booked to the night after...?! We were therefore told that we had to pay more for one of the rooms. We/I refused to do that because I had done nothing wrong and had written proof of what I had paid for. Aften som discussion and a telephone to the boss, we were allowed to have one better room without paying anything extra. I think this is fair, bacause I had done nothing wrong. If their system has a problem in connection with booking.com, then that is their problem. I don't want to pay extra for that.
Review 2:Close to main roads, but still nice and quite quiet. A quite OK place, really.
Review 3:I have a rented car, that's why I like to stay away from busy city. This location is near the suburbs and it's only 5 mins drive to the nearest malls. Simple and no frills hotel. But the cafe is a lovely communal space that serves free water and coffee which are the most important to me. In the evening, the free waffles are an absolute bonus! The friendly staff just made this place so cozy. The breakfast is great! The Kaviar, crispy breads and the fish/shrimps are my favourite!
Review 4:The bathroom was in another building on the second floor, not ideal on a cold November night.
Review 5:The room was very nice; modern and cosy with a very comfortable bed!
Review 6:It is at a truck stop but it was surprisingly quiet.
Review 7:Location for getting in and out of Trondheim. Ability to make waffles late afternoon for a snack. Had a kitchnette!
Review 8:near of lorry park. noisy, sofa bed was uncomfortable. Building is not the proper one. feels like temporary building.
Review 9:Free and fast WiFi. Easy to find.
Review 10:The personnel could show some friendliness besides doing their routines
Review 11:This motell was first and foremost cheap and clean and offered good value for the money. Less than half the price compared to most hotells in Trondheim, and only 10 minutes drive there.
Review 12:Had to pay NOK 300 extra with dog. Consider this amound extremely high. After traveling in USA for many weeks, this hotel was very basic / simple and really expensive!
Review 13:Nothing special.
Review 14:Price was a bit high for what is basically a small motel B&B - perhaps because our visit coincided with all hotels being booked up with fishing conference attendees! Apart from the dining room(s), there are no other public facilities. Location adjacent to service station and lorry park (some noise).
Review 15:Easy to get to approaching Trondheim from the south, and free parking. Staff friendly and offered us free waffles and coffee (yummy!), which happens every afternoon for guests. Comfortable bedroom in the small but adequate 'apartment' (bedroom, lounge, bathroom/WC, kitchenette). Breakfast was fine.
Review 16:Nothing at all!

Review 23:Amazing staff, love this place
Review 24:Only one toilet and shower. Could be a problem when they have many guests.
Review 25:Price. Its the cheapest hotel/motel for miles around.

Review 33:nice breakfast and vaffels in the evening
Review 34:Hot room. Noisy
Review 35:Not much
Review 36:very poor toilet and shower facilities in the single rooms
Review 37:Location Excellent price-quality ratio Very clean Good service
Review 38:Quite a way from Trondheim, public transport doable but not easy.
Review 39:Clean and good value for money
Review 40:The room was dirty and run down and the motel website's picture grossly misrepresented the room. I would even say borderline false advertising! Overpriced horrible facilities. Unhelpful staff. I felt ripped off and would never stay there again!
Review 41:The wifi was good.
Review 42:Having to dress to go outside to use the toilet/shower, needing coins to pay for hot water.
Review 43:Good value. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Staff helpful.nice breakfast. Adjacent Kro restaurant excellent.
Review 44:There was a loud throbbing noise in the room all night that made it impossible to sleep, hence I could not stay here again.
Review 45:Easy to find, particularly for someone used to driving on the left side of the road instead of the right.
Review 46:no hotel in norway is value for money. curtains not heavy enough to block out light.
Review 47:clean comfortable. it had a kitchen which was ggod so I could cook a meal. staff pleasant.
Review 48:Far away from a regulare store, and not new rooms as the describsion says
Review 49:Close to the plase i was visiting my little brother (Melhus) Free wafles and coffie in the evening
Review 50:Facilities, they have kitchen in the rooms. There was free waffles for guest before 21.00 The breakfast was very delicious may be the best in Norway hotel that I have ever had.
Review 51:Shower is weird. There's no shower plate. The whole bathroom is bad.Small. Far from the city. Hotel is only convenient if you have a car andas a place to stay the night on your way to the city, airport orsomewhere else. It worked for us, that were going from the Atlantic Roadto Trondheim airport. The hotel is isolated in the middle of the road, between a gas station and a truck parking.
Review 52:Kitchen in the room. Great to cook your own stuff (Norway is expensiveand there's not Many places around. Free parking, although the wholecity is free if you travel on Saturday evening or Sunday. Free wafflesfrom 18h to 21h! Buffet Breakfast is good and convenient. Front deskstaff helped us with directions and recommendations on what to see inTrondheim (not much). Very comfortable bed.
Review 53:A very simple roadsite motel which was full of trucks and motor homes. Clean linens on the beds (two adjoining rooms) but the sofa looked rather old and scruffy. Did not use the shower as it really was just part of the toilet floor area and did not look inviting! I had the impression the motel was being run by very young staff. OK for one night on the way - we wanted to visit Trondheim for one day and this was a cheap stopover place. Don't expect anything fancy for the price.
Review 54:10 minute short drive into Trondheim. Breakfast was reasonable and coffee was hot. I cut my finger with a very sharp breadknife and the young staff member quickly got me a plaster. We needed to remind him however to remove the remaining bread and to clean the knife.... to avoid any contamination
Review 55:Easy access to internet. Very helpful friendly staff. Nice to be able to make waffles in afternoon for free. Child friendly - play area inside and colourful plates for children. Our room had small kitchen and fridge - rarity on our travels in Norway. Building designed like an Australian motel. Walking distance (2 mins) to eatery. Very easy access to E6. Short drive to City Syd (shopping mall) and other shops. Next to a truck parking area but double glazing on windows dulled the noise. Bathroom small but very functional. Long breakfast time starting early - 6am
Review 56:The hotel was clean and comfy. The lady at the reception was veryhelpful and friendly, though she was new and didn't fully master all ofthe routines yet. But this was no problem. The rooms are a bit tight for4 people, but it was ok for one night. Parking is also a bit tight.Trondheim is about 20 minutes drive or so.
Review 57:Good location, I checked in after the b&b was closed. No problem, thehave a sleeping nightwatch. Good breakfast also. Really fresh b&B. Myroom was a singel room, still it was a big and fresh room. Very goodvalue for money!!
Review 58:Having to go elsewhere for evening meal
Review 59:Friendliness of the staff, and the willingness of them to help.
Review 60:Enjoyed it very much
Review 61:Really Nice welcoming
Review 62:Truck and bus drievrs will park cars next to the building we stayed, so it gets noisy sometimes.
Review 63:Just one shared toilet and shower are in other building on the second floor. Very uncomfortable!!!
Review 64:A chair could be an advantage in the room. Soap in the shower could also be an advantage.
