Review 1:Great location walking distance to downtown; very nice and helpful staff; greatly appreciated the late check-out after running a marathon; good free breakfast; easy access to I-10; ample free parking.
Review 2:We asked for a non smoking room. As soon as we walked in the room it smelled like cigarettes and smoke. Asked if we could have a room on the 1st floor we got the 6th floor. We alsofound two cigarette butts in the room. Found gum on the floor from a previous people that stayed in the room.
Review 3:The floor I stayed on was full of really loud teenagers running back and forth banging on doors. I was hoping for a romantic night but it was inturepted when one of them pulled the alarm & it went off for over an hour at 1 am.

Review 5:Staff was rude in the casino. Telephone wouldn't work in the room. Room was very outdated. Not even a flat screen tv. Charged my card a extra $50 for deposit and I have to wait 10 days to get it back. And after being there for 6 hours...still couldn't get anything drink or eat bc it was for vip only on New Year's Eve. The bar in the hotel didn't even open at all after we were told by the staff it opens at 4pm. The entire experience at this hotel was terrible and we will never go back.
Review 6:The room was horrible. It wasn't cleaned. The toilet, microwave,and refrigerator were disgusting. There was old food on the end tables, scuff marks and hand prints on the wall, a dried red substance on the vents of the ac unit, as well as mold on the vents and in the bathroom. To put the icing on the cake there were roaches crawling in the refrigerator, coming out of the armoire where the tv was, in the bathroom, and crawling up the walls and across the floor. We were moved to another room which exhibited the exact problems!! Upon checkout,the $50 deposit was credited to my husband's card. He was told it would be credited back within 7 to 10 days. Never had that happen before.

Review 10:Room had broken AC, no other rooms available for our first night. Maintenance man tried his best to fix it but at 11:30pm decided the AC was dangerous to run and the room needed a new AC. We were promptly transferred to another and much better room for the second and third nights. We were treated fairly and as a frequent business traveler I appreciate this.

Review 14:I travel with a service dog and was treated extremely poorly she is completely certified even through the Department of Defense but everywhere I went they treat me like crap and actually violated some of my civil rights I also was not up to my cleaning standards and it still had the coffee stuff that was made in the coffee maker by the previous person that was in there and they didn't leave coffee or anything so they never checked it it was also extremely dusty on top of everything the walls have paint missing it was an embarrassment to that establishment

Review 16:Friday morning there was an alarm asking everyone to vacate the hotel. We were told not to use the elevators use the stairway . My husband i did whats we were told to do. Our room was on the 10th floor my husband needs a lung transplant . It was very hard for him to walk 10 flights of stairs. When we got to the lobby i asked what was the emergency and was told it was only a test. Well that should have been told to the guess. This was horrible to make us fush down the stairs with my husband with his medical problem.

Review 18:It was not clean, there were no blankets for the beds and the hotel shuttle for the airport only runs after 7:00 am on Sunday's. One of the reasons I booked the hotel was for the free shuttle. We also had to call for the shuttle when we got in and it took about half hour.

Review 20:I was in town for the Texas AM/LSU game with some friends, so we didn't hang out in the hotel room all that much. The rooms were not bad for the price, maybe a little worn, but not too bad. The breakfast is not the best in the world, but hey, it comes with the room. I really enjoyed the friendly staff all through the hotel and casino. Everyone was more than helpful and very outgoing. Also like the location, just a very short walk over to 3rd street where you will find many bars/grills for whatever mood you're in; we visited a few but enjoyed Schlittz & Giggles, Lucy's Bar & Restaurant, both had really good food and great staff as well.
Review 21:Room was dirty! Outdated. Wallpaper falling off walls in hall. No toiletries! Valet parking very understaffed. Breakfast buffet was not stocked. Empty coffee and bacon. Casino was outdated.

Review 34:Maid left room door open after cleaning in the morning found door wide open when we returned about 4pm. House keeper offered us a measly 30 dollar voucher to spend in a restaurant on site. As this was our last day in B R we had decided to go out on the town for the evening but to get value for the vouchers we had to spend the evening in the hotel. There was no manager on duty at the time nor the next morning when we checked out. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone other than an addicted gambler.

Review 36:Roaches were rampant in the room. Wouldn't stay here again if it were free. Even worse, when you could get waited on by front desk (they stood around talking to each other for several minutes before waiting on me), they were totally uninterested.

When Ichecked later in the evening if a room had come available, I was told nowithout the supervisor even checking the computer. I had to ask her todo so since she had been gone from the front desk for awhile. How couldshe possibly know since she'd obviously been gone. The front desksupervisor is racist against light skin people. I will never go back tosuch an establishment

Horrible service. Never had worse service.

Review 51:Front desk staff was unprofessional, uncaring & somewhat rude. I reserved a King suite bed & was reduced to a double. I asked if there would be a reduction in my rate, I was told no & had to settle for that. Parking on weekends is insufficient and valet parking is non-existent. Front desk staff said that parking was not there problem and you would have to park wherever. Pretty insulting considering the room rates & the fact that this is a so called hotel casino.

Review 56:Room cleanliness was horrible!! In our first room we notice we had a trail of ants in our room after being bitten twice. There was some foot left on the floor by the bed skirting. They switched us to a new room, but this room had a lot of shavings in the bathroom sink and the covers in this room smelled horrible. The front desk did give me back half of my money.
Review 57:The bartenders really worked hard to keep up with the flow of guest that were coming in. Only three bartenders was available. They had to take care of the bar and the dinning room area. They did an amazing job.
Review 58:The rooms and bathrooms need to be updated. The bathroom had like black mold or something on the ceiling and the room was so musty smelling. After staying one night I got sick with bad soar throat (not saying it was the room, can't really prove that) and bad headaches. The bar staff was not very friendly and they were dismissive of customers. Also there was something in on the bed sheet of one of the beds.

We were told that we had to buy one for USD 15. This sort of attitude made me realized to never stay again at this hotel nor to recommend it to anyone.

The hair dryer was soooo slow it took me over 30 minutes to dry my hair which is chin-length. There was also hair in the bathtub and bathroom floor checking in!

Review 80:We wished the room had a fridge, breakfast items weren't replenished frequently enough (we ended up not eating much because a lot was gone), we happened to be there when the air went out in the atrium and there were problems with the sewer (luckily left that day but felt bad for people checking in), felt bad that the smoking area was where people had to walk past to get to the entrance from the parking lot (pool was right there too-a bit awkward).

Review 84:The customer service is horrible. I overheard a housekeeping talking really negative to another housekeeper over the walkie talkie. They didn't bother to turn the walkie talky down. The breakfast buffet staff were slow with refilling the food and had an attitude when greeting guests. Some of the check in staff took their time checking you in often times talking in the phone as if you not even standing there. This hotel has went down and need to do wayyy better.

Review 86:Was not told upfront that pool was closed. Had my grandson with me and we were very disappointed. Found hair in the shower. Very noisy. Valet parking was awful. Brought us the wrong car. That is very scary, could get your car stolen. You guys need to do a better job.

Review 95:I didn't like that there were crumbs on the floor in the room and the staff at the breakfast buffet didn't seem too friendly when asked for anything. The line was backed up several times because no one would restock the food. Every time I got up to get some more coffee or food, someone would come and take away my drink and utensils (about 3 times) and someone actually seated me in that spot. The only other complaint I have is the hotel parking. There was never an open spot in the evening and sometimes during the day. Plus I had no help with my bags. I probably won't stay here again. The staff could have been more friendly - they didnt seem to want to be at work.

Review 97:I paid $123.00 a night for a Deluxe King Room and what got was a king size bed in a small room! I went to celebrate my birthday weekend thinking that since it's a hotel with a casino connected to it that the room would be gorgeous for $123.00 a night! Check in and went to the room to find a small bathroom with old looking toilet and shower that hasn't been updated. So I got out for dinner and I wanted to do vaulted parking but there was no one there. I called the front desk to ask about valet parking and she informed me that it was only one person and they left at 9:00 pm for a family emergency and valet usually stop at 11:00 pm. So I had to ride around the small gated parking lot until a spot became available. Woke up the next morning to watch some tv before I check out and everyone on the screen were green like the Incredible Hulk! This was not a LCD TV that they put on their website about having I their rooms. Check out and had some breakfast at their buffet then left. I honestly don't do reviews on place I been but I felt like I was cheated out of my money! I will NEVER go back to that hotel.
Review 98:The bed was the only thing I like about my stay! It was comfortable and I had a good night rest in it.

Review 101:Not enough dining choices in the area. It's unfortunate there is a casino attached because it did draw an unwanted population but it is far enough away from the rooms that you don't hear any noise or really have to be around ppl who weren't staying as guests.
Review 102:The staff is incredible. Very courteous and informative. It's very clean and the rooms were actually impressive. Nice sheets, comfortable bed. Shower had nice pressure. The breakfast was immaculate! Eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, toast, muffins, bagels, coffee, orange juice, tea, etc. They even provide handy to-go cups for your coffee and being that we were traveling from SC to Texas we needed it and didn't have to make an extra stop! Also the rooms were very quiet and I did not hear any disturbances at night.

Review 105:It's not good for a business trip. Valet took much to long...I spent more time waiting to park and waiting to get my car than anything else that I did while there. After calling down and asking for the luggage trolly, I waited about 20 minutes before I just carried it all down myself (suitcase, garment bag, laptop case, tote & purse).

Review 112:So much confusion among staff on room reservations. First I had a reservation then I didn't. It changed from one day to the next. Ended up paying a higher rate because someone on staff cancelled my reservation. The train that comes through blowing its horn at 5AM sucked. The food wasn't that good for the Gala this year. Many people walked out when they saw what was being served. Lastly, I was there for four days, my room wasn't cleaned and apparantly you have to tell them to clean your room if you are staying more than one night.

Review 125:Advertised draft beer 2.50 and oysters at 5:00. Sat outside restaurant 15 min to find out they did not have any draft beer. Went out on street to find place to eat. Came back to hotel bar. Advertised beer for 3.00 out of it. Would not give you a bud light for that price. Adveritsement says close at 12. Bar full and beverage manager decides to close at 11. Refused to serve 4 people at 11. I complained to desk and they brought security in. Way out of line. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL OR CASINO. CASINO WAS SO SMOKY. WORST
