Reviews for Holidaypark Klein Strand

Review 1:Slow to check in.. confusing where the office/reception actually is. One person working who was in no hurry at all. Had to wait a while, not good after long drive. No towels supplied, couldn't shower as didn't bring any. No toilet paper supplied in caravan either but plenty available from toilet block.

Review 2:Excellent location. Superb value for money off season for a group of travelers who need accommodation for the night. Very clean. Excellently equipped kitchen in caravan..Good location just off motorway and good facilities. Check out 11am. good if you've had a late night.

Review 3:The toilet water is leaking to my room and causing it all wet. The counter is not open that early. Take some time for checking out

Review 4:Price is fair. The overall is fine.

Review 5:Price may be cheaper considering the location and property tipe.

Review 6:Had a luxury tent - very nice place to stay - wooden inside. Has all necessary facilities.

Review 7:No wifi even though it was advertised. Lake was out of bounds too. Not much for older children to do. People living on the site were racist and wouldn't give you the time of day

Review 8:Stayed in the Deluxe tent, which the kids throughly enjoyed. fully equipped for a self catering holiday.

Review 9:The lake was out of use due to it making visitors sick. We were not advised of this prior to our arrival and even on arrival only discovered this by seeing the lake and beach deserted. Asked for money off our stay as we had booked this location for the last 3 nights of our 3 week travels and had hoped for 3 days relaxing at the lake with the children. Eventually agreed free tickets to local water park obsess by manager, which was a good day out. Children's pool and play area was a bit rough around the edges and needed down repair work. Chalet was fine for sleeping on. Not a lot else to do so went to Oostende beach and bridge for days out.

Review 10:There were no problems, a great place to stay.

Review 11:It was a convenient place for us, at a good price. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we arrived.

Review 12:The deluxe tent we reserved had not been cleaned so we could not stay there.

Review 13:Location was good and the manager was very apologetic about the deluxe tent not being cleaned and ready for us upon arrival. He offered us a more expensive unit for the same price but we chose not to take it.

Review 14:Accommodation very basic, but comfortable, clean and good for the price paid.

Review 15:Excellent location for travelling into Brugge, easy to catch the bus. Pirate restaurant excellent with good service. The children loved the playground on site and we could relax and have a drink in the bar with full view of them. Water slides great fun and we enjoyed the waterski show on Sunday evening. Lots going on and more restaurants in Jubekke which is 5 minutes walk away.

Review 16:No air conditioning. We didn't get the cabin in the photos that's for sure. When we asked the young girls on reception said that was all they had. Stiff huh. A new cabin was available as we passed it everyday. Did I mention "no air conditioning". Wobbly front steps and decaying patio. The actual water park was full of pent up teenagers so we didn't use it. Most of the town was shut.

Review 17:The Tea Room 'Kom Eil Foo' just up the road. They saved our first day otherwise we were out of there. The area was beautiful with bus access to Brugge or Ostende. Brugge took you to other places. We had a car.

Review 18:The supermarket on site is great for snacks but not for evening meals.

Review 19:Great park, we felt really safe letting our kids have some freedom. The park is clean and the line ups short even in July. The waterpark is great and worth the extra money. The restaurants are good value for money .

Review 20:"Checking In" and "Checking Out" was extremely hard. The man didn't speak very good english & when I asked if I was able to pay in full up front he told me no, I had to pay the next morning. When "Checking Out" came around, the office didn't open until 9am & there was a line up of customers waiting to check out. It was very frustrating. We missed out ferry from Calais to Dover & were very lucky to have got the next one. It was extremely disappointing.

Review 21:The location was good. The cabin was good. And the facilities seemed ok too.

Review 22:Nothing bad to put down here.

Review 23:Very surprised at how clean the site was. Stayed in a chalet/mobile home which was clean and had everything in it. Will defiantly book again.

Review 24:The bedding wasn't great the duvet and duvet cover didn't fit at all, and the pillows are small and square this may be a local thing tho, we didn't get a wifi password but I didn't ask for it so my fault I guess

Review 25:The campsite is easy to find and well located to reach all the sites in Belgium, lovely quiet site the chalet was spotlessly clean.

Review 26:Beds could havd been more comfortable and Reception opened a bit late for our hoped for early start.

Review 27:Suited our needs perfectly. Managed time in Bruges too.

Review 28:The wifi was out of order the night we stayed and the office shut at 6:00 pm which was a bit disappointing as we checked in at 5:00 pm. There should definitely be some staff or phone available in the tent in order to contact in case of any emergency. As our heater wasn't working properly through the night and we didn't have anyone to assist. Also there was no television as promised in the booking.

Review 29:We were 5 adults (family) staying in a big tent which was very comfortable. Very good hygiene and the kitchen was equipped as shown in the pictures

Review 30:DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOCUMENTS at the reception as they asked for my driving licence as safety that we wont leave without paying, but they never gave it back to us. After one person said they will post it to me as they have them, the other person said they gave them back to me and i must have dropped them somwhere.however Its been a month now and im still waiting, if you do take peoples documents you should make sure you give them back as im on holliday and cant use my car till ill get my replacement driving licence..there was no towels so we couldn't have a shower but the water was changing from hot to cold in seconds anyway, floors where very dirty and dusty.

Review 31:First i thought i love this and we defenetly will go back for longer stay but then it changed.

Review 32:Arriving after 6 is trouble some, need to call the staff. The toilet is very small, but bathroom is OK.

Review 33:The room was very clean, kitchen facility was ready in operation. Enough room for 6 people. Lots of parking spaces. WIFI was good. Nice warm blanket.

Review 34:The staff was very friendly and happy to give us tips for touring the area. The cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the heating was turned on before we arrived. The location is quiet and a short distance from the highway.

Review 35:The apartment was really dirty. It looks like it was never cleaned under the beds, which is very complicated for me, as my son likes to hide under beds. There was food (tomato sauce) on the ceiling of the bedroom. The dishes were also dirty. I took more than one hour cleaning the apartment. The apartment was very cold. Only with a long arm shirt, a pullover and a fleece jacket my son had his hands warm. For us, adults, it was also very cold. When I left, the manager told me there were extra heaters available. The location of the chale at the picture is ok, but our chale was not so nice located. From the window of our chale I had to look at the garbage of the front neighbor every day.

Review 36:The kitchen had everything necessary for cooking. The chale had a good size and it was comfortable considering space (although the restroom was very small in my opinion). There are supermarkets close to the chale and it takes only 15 minutes by car to go to Bruges. And the parking places in Bruges are very cheap.

Review 37:pretty cold in the cabin, only two small heaters in the main living area. A couple extra blankets we brought came in handy :)

Review 38:Friendly staff, close to Brugge

Review 39:All good!

Review 40:Undisputable price-performance ratio!well furnished,clean and comfortable.you wouldn't expect that excellence for such a price!I definitely recommend it!

Review 41:The chalet is really small. It is a minimalist approach to lodging, so if you plan to spend time in the room, go somewhere else.

Review 42:If you're staying at Klein Strand, you're clearly trying to save some money. The location and facilities make it easy to do that if you plan ahead. It's a short trip to Bruges, and the kitchen facilities made it easy to eat breakfast and dinner there, then just grab lunch somewhere or get frites and waffles throughout the day. The "chalets" are small, but big enough that the kids to feel at home. (But probably not for more than a couple days). We were there in December and the chalet and the water were as warm as we could have wanted. If you end up with some tume to kill, there is a great little playground for small children. The service was good and the staff was friendly and knew the area really well.

Review 43:Unit was cold on arrival...the original heating had been reduced to just one heater!

Review 44:Were able to cater for the size of our party and is reasonably close to Brugges.

Review 45:no toaster Had to drive back from Calais because I was not given back my passport. Partly my fault for forgetting you had it.

Review 46:Accommodation was nice, clean and warm. Staff were pleasant.

Review 47:We travelled in a party and had three static units. Given it was December, it was very cold and frosty, whilst ours and one more were very warm with central heating, one of our party only had one small convector heater for the whole unit, it was very cold and as we arrived late could not get any more heating, next day they were only given one more fan heater. Given they paid the same money check you have a unit with heating.

Review 48:internet was only 5 hours, then cut off, and only one device can connect.

Review 49:it was a small house for my family, and private. great value for the money spent

Review 50:It was a very nice and well cleaned bungalow. The bed was comfortable and there was a small TV, closet, shower, WC,.. everything was clean and properly disposed. It is just a 10 min drive from Brugges.

Review 51:Most things were closed or open strange hours, but local chippy and pizza van rescued us!

Review 52:The cleanliness of the cabin was excellent. Central location for Brugge and the beach.

Review 53:Wifi connection is not that good.

Review 54:We stopped over for 1 night whilst en route to Netherlands, reasonable price, wifi wasn't great but if that's the only grumble it can't of been that bad!

Review 55:The shop could be better supplied.

Review 56:Accomodation very clean and spacious. It was quiet at night. Great facilities for kids. Overall good and worth coming back.

Review 57:only a minor thing,but there wasn't a toaster,

Review 58:1st visit,was impressed,Site was quiet,good children,s activities,chalet well equipped for our needs,staff very helpful.Would visit again.

Review 59:We booked a chalet, it was a static caravan which was really damp, my clothes and the beds felt damp constantly and it smelled of damp. The play area near the Chinese was horrible and things were broken so couldn't be used. The noise of the motorway was really loud from our caravan.

Review 60:The paddling pool and playground next to the dolphin bar were great and clean the kids loved it. The pirate bar was lovely and the staff in there were really lovely and helpful, the play gym in there is great too. The welcome box for the kitchenette and the tea and coffee box were really nice touches.

Review 61:The property we stayed in was advertised as free wifi but we couldn't get it in our chalet and had to go to the bar area after getting a pass code.

Review 62:The site was in an excellent position to visit Brugge, only a short drive away. The site was clean and tidy and very helpful staff.

Review 63:Poor wifi signal in tent, low level drone of traffic noise from major motorway close to campsite. Nothing major though!

Review 64:Tent was great with excellent facilities - very exciting for the children, set-up, lake, facilities, very close to Brugges and not far from Calais.

Review 65:Poor wifi but this wasn't a real issue. The young lady hiring the bikes was a bit grumpy but the other members of staff were very helpful.

Review 66:Good value for money. Excellent location. Comfortable beds! Most of the staff members were helpful.

Review 67:WIFI totally useless! Given the free code from reception and showing strong signal..but could not download anything, even standing right outside reception. Chalet pretty small for 6 people...has 6 beds but no where to put luggage, clothes etc. for those 6 people.

Review 68:Great modern chalet, very clean and well equipped. Nicely spaced chalets ours was at the back of the site, so nice and quiet. Good cooking facilities. Beds pretty comfy for 'caravan' beds. Great facilities at the campsite, lake and slides great fun, market one night onsite, small shop and a few takeaways,

Review 69:Didn't get a chance to try the lake but the swimming area was small compared to the area reserved for water-skiing. The site is right alongside the motorway but it's behind trees so no noise problem. For the price we could have had a hotel but without the self-catering facilities which help to keep the whole holiday price reasonable.

Review 70:Rented a chalet which was reasonably well equipped and clean. An easy cycle from Bruges city centre if you take your bikes. The Chinese restaurant on-site was good.

Review 71:Internet very weak, sometimes does not work

Review 72:houses very clean, kind and very helpful customer service, very cool place to hang out with the family, Very recommendable

Review 73:Lack of restaurants on location. There were 2 snackbars and one chinese restaurant. We arrived late in the chinese restaurant but were told kitchen was still open. We ordered some food that was way too salty and the cola had no bubbles. We wanted to order more drinks but none of the staff noticed us. That was quite a pity because the interior was very beautiful.

Review 74:The rooms were clean, most kitchen utilities were available, possible to eat outside at picknick bench/table outside. Perfect for young children, playground and swimming pool for children. Supermarkets in neighbourhood.

Review 75:No oven or toaster even though chalet was advertised as fully equipped. Shop not open

Review 76:Chalet was very clean, comfy beds. Bar staff were friendly

Review 77:It was heated in the caravan, things we weren't expecting were provided, beds were comfortable and had a good powerful shower

Review 78:Very private and clean

Review 79:Because of time of year there was no shop open on site

Review 80:The Wifi didn't work during our stay - not sure if this was a camp-wide issue or just the code we were given

Review 81:Price

Review 82:Very complicated to find

Review 83:Poor internet access

Review 84:Location

Review 85:Everything was excellent a great value for money.

Review 86:Horrible site.

Review 87:Close to Bruges.

Review 88:WIFI did not work. Mobile homes were comfortable, but a bit old and the toilet was a bit smelly.

Review 89:Good central location

Review 90:Could do with some utensils in the kitchen and the TV was very far too little.

Review 91:Clean enough, parking was ok and secure.

Review 92:Internet reception poor No fan Neighbors had big loud dogs

Review 93:The accommodation generally

Review 94:The chalet accommodations were very nice and the abundance of activities kept the kids entertained.

Review 95:Quite little beds in the chalet

Review 96:Modern facilities, beautiful area

Review 97:Good location, friendly people

Review 98:Couldn't get the wi-fi at the chalet we were in

Review 99:It was quiet at night

Review 100:Nothing.

Review 101:We only stayed for 1 night as a stopover but the chalet was excellent and there was plenty to do on the campsite.

Review 102:Near to Bruges .. very clean and quite place

Review 103:noise from highway nearby during the night

Review 104:Cabin was in the sun with no shade and no fan

Review 105:Location well set out park Self contained cabin close to Supermarket

Review 106:Alot of condensation in the static caravan.

Review 107:Nice local village with good pub. Then a bus ride to Bruges.

Review 108:very clean. Surprised to see towels and toiletries provided

Review 109:Rundown smelly corridors

Review 110:Location children liked it and liked pool although I had to pay extra which was not advised at booking.

Review 111:no facilities

Review 112:accommodation

Review 113:Bed very uncomfortable & WiFi not working. Found broken glass on the beach area.

Review 114:Chalet clean & helpful staff.
