Reviews for Siam Bayshore Resort & Spa
Review 1:The smelly klong.
Review 2:Room size, comfortable bed. Cleanliness, Superb breakfast and evening BBQ dinner on beachfront with band. Nice pools. Staff were very friendly and efficient.
Review 3:Air conditioning was leaking down on both beds in our suite the balcony was facing the pool area was good but we got all the noise for 16 hours a day from the go-cart track. The room it self was to old fashioned for that price nothing special.
Review 4:The noise from next door night club and strip was overbearing unless you stayed out all night and trashed yourself. The next room had TV up loud to cover the night club music. Did not get much sleep...
Review 5:The hotel was quite nice other than the points below.
Review 6:There is a stream running through the domain, that has a very disturbing smell - very noticeable at the large pool (not at the nice one near the sea).. The room doors are a bit flimsy and depending on where you are, thewind can be howling...
Review 7:Very good staff, nice swimming pool - in particular the one near the sea - but closes a bit early, nice Thai restaurant.
Review 8:One of The facility of bathroom was broken. No notice for that.
Review 9:Very closed to downtown, but quiet place. The room has a good atmosphere as resort place.
Review 10:Stayed in Ocean View rooms, the most expensive. However, the noise level is intolerable and continues throughout the night. If you are in the end rooms, when the noise finally stops at 4-5 a.m., a loud generator starts at 6 a.m. sending awful vibrations through the room. Another thing is, for some reason these rooms are always cold. For this reason I think these rooms are far too expensive.
Review 11:Great location, staff, breakfast, swimming pools.
Review 12:The noise until 5am from Walking Street is incredibly loud. After 3 nights Mived to rear of main building to actually sleep. The smell from the drain running through property is better than listening to music until 5am
Review 13:Moving from a sea view to garden view room.
Review 14:The smelly river along the path from lobby to rooms...
Review 15:Room service...good food but depand on chef of the day. Day one bigger portion, day two became half of day one portion...
Review 16:Huge Tree blocked our view of the sea area. Breakfast Room FREEZING had to sit outside A/c did not work well in bedroom
Review 17:Room with a small balcony overlooking the sea Great breakfast
Review 18:There is bad smell between the lobby and rooms ,WiFi is very bad , beds are not comfortable, unfriendly staff and you can't sleep because there are many mosquitos in the rooms. To sum up, this is the bad experience in Thailand hotels.
Review 19:The location is good because it is close to walking street.
Review 20:The smell of the sewer from main hotel lobby to the rooms at the back.
Review 21:The hotel itself is relaxing and location is good. Its far from the swimmable shore.
Review 22:There is a small bridge over a river of waste water you have to cross toget to the reception area - this stinks something awful
Review 23:The hotel is conveniently situated at the top end of walking street onthe beach and the rooms are amongst beautiful lush gardens
Review 24:near to entrance of walking street. which a bit noisy even past midnight
Review 25:Friendly staffs, Good breakfast 2 swimming pools in diff location and view which my kid enjoyed.
Review 26:Bit of a delay at Checkout (at 5am) which caused a bit on an issue as Ihad to be elsewhere, a 5 minute process took 30 minutes. On arrival Ialso changed my 'garden' room within 1 hr as housekeeping hadfailed to close the door so it was full off mosquito. The rooms in thecentral building were not quite as nice but still great.
Review 27:Central Location with nice resort feel about the place. Good, variedbreakfast, well appointed rooms.
Review 28:Your rooms floor in location of swimming pool side.
Review 29:Like your location and the space of overall hotel is very huge and you utilize every lart of hotel in a nice way.
Review 30:Everything about this hotel was excellent, from the staff at the reception/restaurant to the security guards, the breakfast was excellent, room was kept clean and best part was the hotel is right at the entrance/exit of walking street, there was no noise at all. We took an ocean view room which was an excellent choice worth paying the extra charge. Recommending this hotel to everyone looking for a peaceful stay with excellent service.
Review 31:The river cross the territory sometimes smells bad but that' not a big problem
Review 32:The best location in Pattaya. It's close to Ko Larn boats and wolking street. There is big and green territory very quiet. Personal are very frendly. Your guests are welcome! The hotel is also good for families.
Review 33:When I arrived it seemed to take so long to check in. I was told on arrival I would have to wait about 20minutes for my room to be ready. I was waiting for about 45 minutes and actually had to remind the staff that I was still waiting,
Review 34:The staff are very helpful. Great view of the pool from my balcony.
Review 35:Although it is next to the walking street, the beach/marina in front of the hotel is not nice, you have to go to the other side of the city to take a bath. I did not like the curtain of the bathroom.
Review 36:Room service 24 hours. Bed was comfy.
Review 37:The smell from the sewage whilst walking over the bridge to get access to apartments but not noticable within the hotel.
Review 38:The stafff, the room, location and the facilities were all excellent and made for a very enjoyable stay.
Review 39:The internet is so so poor. It needs upgrading, it has gradually got worse over the years I've been staying at the hotel.
Review 40:Loved the location. Loved the value for money.
Review 41:Check-In staff. Check-Out staff. Lobby area. Ants on the eating tables during breakfast and dinner. Low water pressure in shower, which runs out on the floor. Travel agent outside in the stair well, in the weather. A canal (creek) that smells awful, even near the pool area.
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:It has a city sewer running through the middle of the resort, and the smell is unbearable at times,as you walk to go for your dinner or breakfast.I found everything overpriced, even as your sitting next to the pool and order a drink with the lovely aroma of sewage filling the air.Its not acceptabil.
Review 44:The overall layout was fine, and the rooms, pool and food lovely.
Review 45:Something beyond your control and that was the flooding all over Pattya including the hotel. The manager promised me also no charge for the first night no electricity. But upon check out the lady wanted to charge me for all 3 nights. Also they wanted to add a fee for the person who brought e from Bangkok. But the other manager did help and straightened things out. Thank you.
Review 46:Its was close to the shopping street and the beach, and many other stores. perfect for me. Staff was friendly except one cashier lady on check out day.
Review 47:taxi prices
Review 48:Second time I have stayed here. And it's good If you want something a bit nicer then this is a good place. But it is a lot more expensive Right on walking street so if want quiet ask for the jungle side. Only bad thing was the price of the taxi they organised. But then again it's thailand if they can wrought you they will.
Review 49:The staff very very rude special the front desk they are very bad they the most badly ppl in all thailand its my 4 th time in this hotel and its all the same proplem the front desk staff
Review 50:Clean swimming pool
Review 51:Location is very bad, room had lot of insects and mosquitoes, the rooms are so far from reception. In between there is stinking canal. No transport
Review 52:The wifi was slow and the smell of the place outside was a bit rancid mainly because of the flooding they had before I arrived.
Review 53:The pool, the jungle feeling of the premises and the service with a smile.
Review 54:Room service food isn't collected till next day so local cats eating off plates
Review 55:Amazing location food and staff Two pools are great and beautiful room Lady at tour desk was super we booked all our tours threw her
Review 56:There is nothing that i don't like. It's just a perfect place for an awesome holiday in Pattaya.
Review 57:The best hotel that i have ever stayed in Pattaya. The staffs are so good and specially Nina from front office is the best. Willing to help at anytime we want.
Review 58:I would like to thank all the hotel staff and whose did my stay on forthree nights distinct and beautiful and very convenientSpecial thanks to the Mrs NANA she were very helpful Event helped me to recover my mobile phone when I forgotten in another hotel she used her personal mobile and contacted the hotel who lost in my mobile , did not ask for in return It's really an example of the employee Helpful and Honest I hope rewarded for her work and careful appreciation Sure I will chose your hotel in my next visit to Pattaya
Review 59:A shame that the noise of walking street carries through to the rooms into the early hours of the morning - we had ocean view
Review 60:Hotel is lovely and staff were exceptional.
Review 61:sometimes you would have the awfull smell of the drain which is floating next to the hotel.
Review 62:The rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was excellent Pool was clean and sufficient seats. Excellent location next to walking street with lots of bars and eating places
Review 63:A bit of confusion finding the room/ lobby but that's not really relevant.
Review 64:Set right next to Walking street top location. Right next to the pier to go to different islands. Pools both a decent size the one in the hotel was a little busy but the one at the front was quiet
Review 65:Travelling from the front door to lobby was really pathetic. Atleast you people should provide some ride from main entrance to lobby in electronic cars or whatever it is.
Review 66:Ambience & location was awsme
Review 67:A canal runs through the property and it stinks. Beware of garden rooms near the canal and prevailing winds.
Review 68:Fantastic location, great security and facilities.
Review 69:Bad smell from water canal crossing the property and not kept clean. terrible music noise at night from next door main entertainment street in Pattaya. staff at pool not particularly friendly and front office staff not efficient.
Review 70:Location
Review 71:Hotels that don't belong to a large chain of hotels, generally havepoor quality of staff. Guys who were handling the luggage we'regood. Reception desk was without a smile and dead. Most embarrassingwas that I was waiting for 20 mins for check out, when I went back andasked the status, they surprised me by saying that the carpet in theroom was burnt. Took me a full 20 mins of argument to talk to the guyswho came with me to the room, until the agm - Scander came andunderstood whom he was talking to. At the end of a good stay, it leftme with awful memories.
Review 72:Professional and actual Technical Scrub and Thai Massage.
Review 73:When booking try to go for the hotel rooms at the front of the hotel ( beach) as the rooms at the rear you have to walk over a bridge that has all the waste water running under it for the town. So not the best small. Apart from that a good hotel for a holiday.
Review 74:The staff are great and good location if you like night life.
Review 75:Staffs, Pool, Restaurant, Spa and i can tell there nothing that i don't like. I would like to thank Nina from front office to make our stay memorable and for the complimentary BBQ buffet dinner. it was awesome.
Review 76:the discharge sewer of south Pattaya flow across the hotel and just on the right side of the pool; the stench of sewage was intolerable, impossible to stay in the pool or even walk outside the room. Say that, the hotel itself is located in a good position; staff and service are a good level and very friendly and always available.
Review 77:The ONLY disappointment was the smelly stream that ran through the grounds! The smell was awful and occasionally wafted across the swimming pool. A team of maintenance staff came and cleaned out the channel the day before we left.
Review 78:The hotel was an oasis after the chaos and noise of Walking Street! The staff were wonderful, especially the staff at breakfast and the bar staff - particularly loved the two girls who worked in the Explorer Bar on an evening. The hotel grounds were really well-kept, the rooms were comfortable and the swimming pools were excellent.
Review 79:The walk to our room over the open sewer system, the smell was unbearable at times.
Review 80:The room view overlooking the nice pool, very quiet area we we're in, the layout of the fish pond and waterfalls fountains made a nice evening walk within our hotel.
Review 81:The ugly smell of of a dirty canal that affects the hotel and the pool, it is not nice to sit next to the pool. The outside pool with view on the beach is a misleading foto on website, it is a not a nice view at all ( depends on the location. Some of The hotel guests ( man)are not the kind of people i respect ( hanging around with prostitues)
Review 82:The comfort in the rooms and the friendliness of the reception and staff ( except pool manager)
Review 83:Need more hygiene toilets with water hose (shattaf)
Review 84:I was given a great room with a view and staff was friendly and courteous ... Of the four hotels I stayed in on this trip to Thailand, this scores high with me. I will surely be back to this hotel.
Review 85:I come with my wife,I booked a double bed via booking.com, but they gave me a twin bed, staffs were not friendly, they told me that it's because I hadn't confirmed yet, lol. Wifi in the room is weak, can't surf any webpage. A very bad smell canal flow thru the resort.
Review 86:Location is very near walking street and almost the pub in pattaya. Swimming pool is very nice.
Review 87:Location is close to the beach. Transport can be arranged in seconds with the help of the tourist or taxi desk available and can take you anyway you want to be.
Review 88:The room is a little dated and the bathroom seemed old. Very poor Wi-Fi. Staff little helpful for its price range.
Review 89:Great swimming pools, a big beautiful one inside and a smaller one (but 2.5 m deep) overseeing the beach. Nice decoration in common areas and amazing breakfast.
Review 90:There was muddy stream(?) in the hotle and it was smelly. Breakfast was good but there was a cackroach on the breakfast bar.
Review 91:Easy to get to the peir for Koh Larn and walking street.
Review 92:Great refurbished lobby, with interesting old furniture as features, with a very Asian feel...strong yellows, whites, orchids etc Premium room overlooking the sea very comfortable. Great location right at the end of Walking St. Also has lush gardens, tennis courts, and two swimming pools, one in the centre of the hotel and one right by the sea.
Review 93:The walk between the main building and the Pool. Maybe shower screens instead of curtains would be an improvement
Review 94:everything about this hotel is to like, from breakfast to bedtime. The staff are excellent as are the facilities.
Review 95:It would have been nice if the front pool and bar stayed open a little later than 6pm but it wasn't a big issue as the Buffet Dinner obviously commenced in that area at 6pm.
Review 96:Location was excellent at the start of walking street. Our ocean view room had a balcony with a lovely view of the beach, front swimming pool and walking street. Buffet breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed the Buffet Dinner and live music outside by the pool also.
Review 97:Not a good night sleep. Guests next door returned with ladies and were "negotiating" hourly rates very loudly. Informed the front desk but fell to deaf ears.
Review 98:Great resort, very convenient location, Helpful service staff, Breakfast is very good spread, nearby restaurants and stores, located beside the walking street so wonderful shopping experience
Review 99:The holel is not in its prime state and could benefit a remodeling to current better standards... ..The klong crossing the property was at its lowest level and the stench emanating from it was unbearable.. to not acceptable to us. Room aircon condensation issues..during entire stay. Had to keep temperatures too low for proper comfort.
Review 100:The Bayshore is ideally located for those wishing to cruise walking street and the Beach front zone. The property is vast and well kept, Great pool area for kids and tennis facilities are ideal.
Review 101:Rooms very ordinary not to the status of such resort. Exorbitant room rates for the rooms running down..front exit too far from lobby. Electric cart must
Review 102:Location. Just few metres from a hot spot...walking street. Breakfast lay out pretty good
Review 103:I would not bother with a bad review had it not been the inconvenienceof having walked all the way from my room to the front desk when ourkeys did not work. I noticed that some other guests had the same issuestoo. It was ridiculous. Also, having put us to the park view wing whichis a totally different building from the lobby, you have no choice butto walk through a relatively nice bridge until the very bad smell of thedrain or canal hits you in the nose. Luckily for us, our room was notclose to the smell or I would have kicked up a fuss. It is extremelyunfortunate as I think this hotel is a really nice and interestingresort hotel
Review 104:I was quite happy with the stay at first. It was a convenient locationand the breakfast buffet was quite good and some staff were verypleasant. My family liked the swimming pool a lot.
Review 105:Room had ants Towel was torn and both were different Service was horrible - at the entrance the gate keeper did not offer to pull my bags inspire of knowing the pathway was over 10 minutes
Review 106:Food and property
Review 107:Not have toilet shower.
Review 108:Good location near walking street but inside hotel is peacefully that' great!! Breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room were clean and quiet.
Review 109:There is nothing we did not like
Review 110:From the moment you walk in till the moment you leave you are treated like vip's, great hotel, great locations, we will be returning again in June. Well done to all the staff @ sbr and thank you
Review 111:The canal running through the property provided some unsavoury smells from time to time. Only a minor blemish. The local authorities are working on fixing the canal issue. The Gym was also in a very poor state. Two exercise bikes that were not working and only one treadmill.
Review 112:The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The pool area was also very good. Great location right on Walking Street, but far enough away from all the action.
Review 113:Lack of movie channels.
Review 114:Excellent staff! Wonderfully quiet room and tropical garden setting with view of the pool. Very clean and comfortable...loved the bed and pillow!
Review 115:The path from the rooms to the reception is very pleasant because of the trees but at a certain point there is a bridge over a narrow river that smells like sewage
Review 116:I had a room at the ground floor, looking at the pool
Review 117:Staff was not helpful upon our arrival. They probably need to be aware that guests may not easily understand what they are saying and that guest can be very tired after a long flight &road trip to Pattaya. Hence, staff should be more patient and helpful.
Review 118:The Internet service was intermittent and ever-changing and a total pain.
Review 119:Relaxing by the pool... watching the trees in the wind and devouring Thai noodles. Wonderful service. Especially the spa!
Review 120:Foul smell, Mosquitoes, insects near the room. The garden is not maintained and bushes are growing wild all over. I stayed at Room:132
Review 121:Swimming pool was big and clean
Review 122:Its a beautiful property located in the most happening area of the Pattaya Town. Great Staff at the Desk, has very nice rooms with good facilities in it, great spread on the buffet for breakfast, Has a beautiful garden and a fantastic pool to cool off. Overall this property offers good value for money and a nice place to stay when at Pattaya.
Review 123:Beach is not clean and to go to garden suite we pass a channel with dirty water and unpleasant smell
Review 124:Breakfast is excellent and staff are very friendly
Review 125:Open smelly drain running through the middle of the property. Bus loads of Chinese tourists at night time taking over the Walking Street and the pier. Beach full of rubbish. Mosquitoes but nothing repellent could not fix.
Review 126:Good swimming pool. Close to Walking Street bars and restaurants. Easy to get around on the Baht bus. Quiet Hotel.
Review 127:Too pricey to drink there at bar, went across the road
Review 128:It was a short stay to get away that is why the location was so good. Away from hustle & bustle but close enough to get into the same
Review 129:Really it was bad 2 nights start from check inn with poor hospitality and timing, rooms were old , unclean toilets, all rooms are the same , lots of insects and cockroach more and more
Review 130:Mosquitos and flys in the room, so many bites! Wi-Fi reception poor especially in end rooms. Service was slow.
Review 131:Good location Breakfast good and varied
Review 132:very low Internet speed, after cleaning the room disappeared towels, you should not charge regular customers (three years at your hotel) additional fee for an extra hour of stay (delayed flight)
Review 133:Wonderful hotel, friendly staff, good service.
Review 134:1. Too noisy, can not sleep well. 2. I paid money for ocean view, but can't see ocean due to blocked by one big tree. 3. Requested kingsize bed and higher level, but till i got there, they told me can not arrange same. I asked them that i have requested this long time in advance, but staff told me that they haven't confirmed yet. Very strange, i also didn't confirm that i will come to this hotel, but you will charge me one night money for fine, but hotel needn't to take any fine if they didn't confirm anything to guest.
Review 135:Only good thing is location, close to the pier.
Review 136:Everything. The hotel is in good location in proximity to Walking street and pier, but extremely overpriced for that. There are many nice guest houses and small hotels near the Walking street, with half price or triple less price for the room in the area, if someone wants to be close to the Walking street, means single and partying 24 hours. Otherwise, the hotel is a disaster. Very smelly, very bad and very scary, I call it "dungeon". The rooms in the Garden wing are very far away from the lobby, at least 5-10 min to walk, there is no sun coming to the room, unprotected wild trees around, with birds, cockroaches, flies and mosquitoes. The room is very dark at any time of the day. Stinking river on the grounds of the hotel, the bathroom is a scary movie from the dark ages, very dirty and one light-bulb, the towels being used and abused, so they are falling apart. Breakfast is stinks and cold
Review 137:Nothing. The hotel was booked 1 month before our stay due to misleading pictures on the Internet, and rich advertisement for the place. Still, when we were checking in, all the staffs were so busy, so they have let us wait for 10 minutes absolutely unattended. And most of the staff had a smirk-like expression on their faces. I only want to praise the wonderful lady from Reception Team, her name is Anastasia, she is a Russian speaking lady with the beautiful smile and so helpful. She was the only person trying to explain everything, and let us feel welcomed. We booked the hotel for 6 nights, stayed only one night, terminated our stay at the end to move to another hotel. If not for the warmly support of Ms. Anastasia, we would quit in the first half an hour we have walked in. And I really hope, the top management will take a notice of that, the rest of Thai staff were very unfriendly.
