Reviews for Les Jardins D'Agadir
Review 1:We arrived to the hotel on Christmas Eve and left after New Years Eve. When we arrived, they asked to pay extra 300 Dirham per person for the New Years Eve dinner in cash. This money they just put into an envelop. Why we couldn't simply add to the main bill? I'm not sure that everybody had to pay this extra money and why it wasn't mentioned on the website? The "gala dinner" didn't have much extra what we had every other evening - only some extra decoration and extra starters - that was all and going into the restaurant that evening was a manic. Also that night between 11 & 12 pm you had to pay for alcoholic drinks. - On New Years Eve? - all inclusive plus payed extra 300 MAD. It's better if you take your own towels with you, they change their light grey old towels every day but it looks same like the beach towels.
Review 2:The room was very comfortable, with a little balcony. Most of the waiters were very friendly and helpful. The blocks are surrounded with lovely well kept gardens. Around the main pool could be very busy sometimes and often loud music, but this pool is very pleasant for a long swim. There is a smaller pool in the quiet area. The hotel has its own beach with sunbeds -only about 300 m away. We booked all inclusive, which was great. We had a lovely time and were very lucky with the weather.
Review 3:The website is incorrect in many ways. 1) they do not speak our language 0 they only speak French - with very little English/German or Arabic 2) not beachfront property-they have a small section roped off to the rear of the public beach and takes about 15 minutes to get there. 3) it is not all inclusive-drinks must be of the local type and only till 11 pm, then it costs you 4) activities go on all day, if you can understand French.
Review 4:the way the hotel is laid out
Review 5:We loved the decor of our morrocan style rooms. The food was varied and really good quality. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. A special mention to Nabil on the excursion desk. The entertainment team were super too. The gardens and pool areas are just stunning , the grounds are large enough that you are always guaranteed a peaceful corner.
Review 6:If you are an arrogant person and have got used to be served at first eye glance, don't book this lovely place - don't upset yourself and its friendly staff who are working hard to make your stay enjoyable. But if you are cool relaxed person who likes to enjoy lovely atmosphere and sophisticated architecture with Moroccan features, who can enjoy bird singing in the morning as you open the balcony and the look of flowers in the gardens, quiet morning swim or exercise on the grass under palm trees with a coach, or tennis, or a bit of dance in the evenings - this is the right place for you. Be ready to learn a bit of French or manage to have conversation in very little English. But its not a problem if you help it with gestures sometimes, people will do their best to understand you. And who told you that the whole world should speak English after all?? I enjoyed my stay 100%, even I would advise you to take your own towel (if you like it really white and soft like I do) and to buy insect repellent bracelet on Thomson aircraft (£6) as little flies are harmless but can be a bit annoying sometimes. Food was great, I tried absolutely everything. Meats/chicken can be a bit hard but at least you know for sure - chicken is not broiler! But fish, cooked vegetables, cakes, local speciality pies, fruits were delicious! If not sports 3 times a day, I would have come back 1,5 times bigger! But truly lovely hotel with friendly staff and beautiful spacious village-like area :-)
Review 7:This is a French charter company's hotel! The lobby's beautiful interior is destroyed by bad lighting and huge neon posters behind the reception. It is an "all inclusive" resort where food is served in a large canteen with horrible lighting. And sitting outside wasn't an option with our baby since everyone was smoking and there was not a non-smoking area. Our check-in was slow and the staff at the front desk were confused and not very helpful. Most of the staff does not speak any English - which led to a lot of confusion. Our pillows were very uncomfortable and after calling reception 6 times and even going there we still didn't get any new pillows.
Review 8:The gardens are beautiful and the location is good - with a 200 meter walk to the sea, although one should note that you have to leave the hotel to get to the beach. The hotel is really large with a kid pool area, water slides and more. The breakfast was good and the hidden snack bar at the pool was a gem - with good food in a less crowded (almost empty) area by the pool and gardens. The hotel has so much potential to be fantastic, but the major hiccups that made our stay less enjoyable were a big set back for our stay.
Review 9:Full buffet and full board package was very good value for money.
Review 10:Lack of communication and things to do brochures.
Review 11:Staff are very nice but the language barrier was there.
