Reviews for The Hotel Aria - Mountain View

Review 1:Nice room older sofa bed in room Bed was Big and confortable. Didn't hesitate to jump right in it. Would recommend scrubbing bubbles for the tub if you wanted to bathe but it looked way better in bathroom cleanliness than a lot of 3* places I've been. Microwave and refrigerator actually WAS COLD! GREAT QUIET SLICE OF PEACE AND HOME.BREAKFAST WAS GREAT! BUFFET STYLE French toast, no syrup, hash browns, yummy sausages, yogurt, 4 different juices, and I got down there late. Overall I give this place a 7 possibly 8 out of 10. Minuse found bottle caps under the bed. Vacccuming could have been a little more thorough made me feel good TV good privacy good just about everything . But that's how just me)

Review 2:Room is clean ,no smelling ,opening window for fresh air, clean linen. Warm ,sincere staff. Hot whirlpool. Not luxurious but this hotel met all my necessities and standards.(I did not need fancy tv,....) Among similar price hotel, I think this hotel is best choice. I stayed for 13 days.We will come back to this hotel coming January.

Review 3:Toilet flush loud sound.

Review 4:We changed 3 motel during 3week period. One motel was so dirty..... The other national brand inn had problem of overflowing of toilet and bad smell in the room. Finally I found this Aria hotel ! It was haven of rest ! We stayed this hotel for 2weeks. Clean ,no smell in the room. decent breakfast, whirlpool, trolly at the entrance. decent price. Sincere, thoughtful staff !!! Not luxurious hotel, but this hotel met all my necessaties and standards.

Review 5:The toilet was very loud, seemed to be a water waster, but not sure. The hallway rugs were very worn, holes in some places.

Review 6:Quiet, nice breakfast, great price.

Review 7:Nothing. It was better than I expected.

Review 8:Coksidering how expensive all accomodations are in the area, Aria is great value. It wont blow your mind, but at leadt you're not getting ripped off. All staff was super friendly, the wifi was good, and the free breakfast was appreciated. This hotel was a great little home base for when you have Work to do in silicon valley

Review 9:One day maid service never came to clean my room. When I asked at the front desk, they had no ideas or answers. They did provide me with towels and soap but I had to ask. Also, other guests were rude (I don't blame the hotel for that).

Review 10:Loved the breakfast, the pool, and the convenience of the parking.

Review 11:The hotel manager cancelled our noticed late night arrival, only a few hours before our arrival without timely notice to us, by falsely claiming that our credit card had been denied prior to our arrival. We think the reason is that he wanted to sell our room for a higher price. We protested and got a room. Also, WIFI is unsecured.

Review 12:Comfortable and well located with good free parking.

Review 13:Had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready (check in was at 3PM). I booked the room back in June, yet other people were able to check in before us, even though we had been waiting in line longer than them. The front desk didn't seem to care very much and blamed it on a bunch of concerts going on. As a result, we were late to our event. The room had a really bad odor and we had to ask for a full roll of toilet paper since the one they left in the bathroom was 90% gone. We also had to ask for towels and shampoo. Pretty ridiculous given how we had to wait an additional hour to check in.

Review 14:We were going to a concert the day of check out and it started at 1pm so we asked if we could get a late check out which they were very accommodating in doing so. We would stay here again.

Review 15:Someone came knocking at our door at 11:15 to kick us out. There was poor communication between the hotel and booking.com so the hotel did not have our reservation. We had to pull up the confirmation email and they did everything manually so and it took us over 30 minutes to check in.

Review 16:The price was very affordable especially considering it included breakfast. There are lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance.

Review 17:I reserved a King room and got 2 Queen beds. Not mentioned at the time of reservation but when arrived they required a $70 hold for incidentals. They first said they took cash but then told us no. Not even for the $70. The place seemed worn and dirty. The breakfast was terrible. Would not recomend.

Review 18:Nothing.

Review 19:They didn't have my reservation on file from Booking.com, I had to pull up my information to prove I had one. Then they tried to not give me a king room as I had booked. They did finally give me the room I had booked. I was near tears. Then later they refused to give my husband the key I left at the front desk specifically with his name on it. He was unable to get into the room to meet me when I got back later that night from my event.

Review 20:The hotel was comfortable and clean. The pool was very nice, though basic.

Review 21:Inadequate bedding--specifically no mattress pad on the bed, just sheets. Grunge in the tub/shower, and stained carpet. Overall impression: this hotel is lacking some basic cleanliness!

Review 22:Location was good for my itinerary. My room was quiet and the AC maintained a comfortable temperature in spite of the rest of the hotel being hot---halls and breakfast area were the worst.. There was ample parking convenient to all the hotel entrances.

Review 23:The TV in our room needed updating- grainy picture- but not a big deal since we didn't watch a lot of TV while we were there.

Review 24:While it wasn't a 5-star luxury location, our room was clean, comfortable & quiet. The facilities need updating/remodeling, but for what we paid, it suited our needs just fine. The wifi was really fast.

Review 25:I was told that I could check in by 3PM, and was not given a room until I demanded so @ 5:30 PM. EQually I have a 200$ pending charge where I was told I got the room for 130$.

Review 26:The breakfast was good, the pool was nice, as was the location

Review 27:The walkway to the back of hotel was mostly grass and hard to roll baggage. We had to walk through puddles to get to our room because the sprinklers were on and the walkway is mostly grass

Review 28:The pool was perfect! The bed was like sleepong on clouds the hotel staff were nice

Review 29:This hotel does not appear to have been maintained for several years. The carpet outside my door was worn down to the subfloor. The paint and decor are very dated. Overall this hotel is a dump. The only reason I stayed there was the location being close to my office in Mountain View. Considering the price I paid, I am very disappointed.

Review 30:The hallways were a little bit warm, but not too bad. Housekeeping turned off the AC in the room when they cleaned, which made the room warm when we returned. Housekeeping also threw away cups that I had on the table that I had coffee condiments in (did this two times), and once the coffee maker was not cleaned or supplies restocked. I prefer that they do not throw anything away, because I don't want them deciding what may or may not be of importance to me.

Review 31:Staff was very friendly, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was good. It's really nice to have the exercise facilities. The pool looked nice, even though we did not use it.

Review 32:The WIFI is impressive. I updated an iPhone apps (20MB) in less than 7 seconds! That's really important for business. WIFI is available everywhere even near the swimming pool. The room is nice and quiet.

Review 33:Breakfast was a little simple, but I was happy to not have to look/drive elsewhere to eat

Review 34:Iocation to Stanford U, for appointment, very clean, quiet, with fridge & coffee in rm! Also easy access!

Review 35:Do not spend money for the breakfast: really poor, I have purchase it in advance, I had breakfast on the first day and never again: big mistake. I have arranged my own breakfast in the room. Otherwise, just go around the corner to grab some food.

Review 36:Absolutely one of the best stay since I am traveling to the silicon valley (nearly past 10 years). Excellent Wi-Fi, my travel was for business, so connectivity top priority. Also impressed by the room service: really cleaning down to the bonds. Do not look around, just stay there and do not waste time looking for other accommodations. Staff and receptionist absolutely polite and helpful.

Review 37:The TV was very old, no HD capabilities, the bath fan made so much noise, I showered with the light off.

Review 38:The price was good, the hotel and room was clean

Review 39:For @ $200.00 a night, I think I could have done better elsewhere. I was pressed for time and wasn't able to check out and make arrangements with other hotels.

Review 40:The room was clean, roomy, king size bed was comfortable, pillows too small and soft, water pressure in shower was great, lots of light, free Wi-Fi, breakfast selections were just right but coffee too weak, should add Christian TV station.

Review 41:Tiny Gym room had 4 exercise equipments where only one oft hem was in working condition. There is no room for more then 2 people working out ( so tiny space).

Review 42:Great value for the price! I made last minute reservation and apparently the hotel was half full , they had a 50% off from a regular price. Otherwise a bit pricey ( if no sale price available). Rooms were very clean , although the hallway had specific oldish smell....Breakfast included and had choices for all diets... Great location , close to local shopping and restaurants if needed. Overall all I was very happy with the place.

Review 43:Hotel is quiet. Close to Stanford (prox 2 miles south). Easy to get in and out and easy access to main routes south of Palo Alto. Clean and everything worked.

Review 44:The bathroom lighting was grayish and that made it difficult to apply makeup. The hallway back door often left ajar seemed to defeat security measures, however we had no problems. Sadly, prices were inflated for a college reunion period but that seemed common for all hotels in the area.

Review 45:Fresh cookies were a nice welcoming treat. The hotel & its grounds seemed neat and clean. Internet service was excellent!

Review 46:Uncomfortable bed, screeching floors, smelly, dirty, noisy, exaggerated price given the conditions - you be charged at most $20-$60 for a similar room at a motel/hostel, not over $330 as was the case here.

Review 47:Location

Review 48:- Dated facility - Key card didn't always work - Cold water setting on faucet didn't work - Staff was not friendly nor accommodating (I asked for a higher room, but my request was ignored)

Review 49:- Location - Free Wi-Fi - Housekeeping services consistent

Review 50:Breakfast is a joke with disgusting reheated food. Room furniture/TV has an old and used look. Desk lamp was broken and never replaced. Roomservice cleaned only half of the room and left the bed completely unusable.

Review 51:WiFi was good.

Review 52:Didnt know about breakfast until I was leaving, too much light under door from hall, kept me awake. didnt get a receipt due to angry customer at front desk and I needed one for reimbursement from work.

Review 53:The girl at the front desk was so nice and compassionate, pillows were comfy and everything clean, shower head felt great, close to VA were I was going:-)

Review 54:room next to gym, so when men are on treadmill running, steps are very evident and loud during that time...

Review 55:functional, clean, polite and friendly staff

Review 56:The only thing I didn't like was the pricing on the room, it wasn't what I was expecting especially for the high price. The rooms look very simple nothing fancy. I think they should lower their price. I've stayed in other hotels much nicer than this at a lower rate. Overall the staff at the front desk was very polite.

Review 57:I stayed in four different hotels over the two weeks I was in the area and this one was the most expensive and the one most in need of an update or renovations. You can do much better for the money.

Review 58:At 1AM, when was vast asleep, the phone rang. It's a really loud phone exactly next to the bed and scared the hell out of me. The concierge asked me to 'turn down my television because I was bothering the neighbors'. I had no tv on and it was completely quiet in my room. I told this and... he didn't believe me! 'Well sir you room is the only one next to the one where I got a complaint from'. I think I should know if I have a television on or not, and I did NOT. Very weird, and very annoying as it took me a long time to get back to sleep. Awful experience.

Review 59:Breaktfast is good and this place has the best internet speed I have ever experienced in a hotel.

Review 60:The "fitness facility" was a small room with about four machines and that's it. I was not able to get a proper workout. They should be more forthcoming with information about the room.

Review 61:Clean quiet nice staff

Review 62:Early breakfest

Review 63:Easy to book...easy to get to...very friendly staff...clean...beds were comfortable...

Review 64:No drinking glasses in the room. No coffee maker in the room.

Review 65:Layout of hotel.

Review 66:N/A

Review 67:They where courteous, warm, and very attentive. The hotel was quiet, clean and felt very comfortable. Thank you Aria!

Review 68:The toiletries were terrible. The room wasn't too clean (rugs, tv control). The breakfast was terrible. Didn't eat it.

Review 69:The location was ok.

Review 70:not all aspects of the room were updated, like light switches, door knobs.

Review 71:large room, nice linens,

Review 72:A bug in my room, hard to avoid in California, but still a dissatisfier.

Review 73:Blueberry bagel with cream cheese for breakfast!

Review 74:I was on the third floor, it was quiet except there was some noise from another room-sounded like plumbing.

Review 75:good staff

Review 76:Forgot to do maid service one day.

Review 77:When I arrived to check-in they didn't find my reservation and the hotel was fully booked. I had to book somewhere else.

Review 78:You could hear noise of adjacent rooms. The towels were thin and just one bath towel per person.

Review 79:Great location. Good price for the location.

Review 80:parking is not big enough the $70 advance fee at check in is really stupid

Review 81:Room carpet was very dirty. Loud roofing repairs were done early Saturday morning during out stay.

Review 82:The breakfast is do bad with all frozen food, no fruit, yogurt , fresh food. the cleanness of the carpet room

Review 83:The location

Review 84:Room was ok for short stay. the only thing is I stayed in much better hotels with less price in new jersey. staff was good..

Review 85:Crowded breakfast area, mediocre food

Review 86:pretty plain.

Review 87:Affordable given higher early-week rates of other hotesl

Review 88:A little shop worn needs upkeep.

Review 89:Clean, quiet, cheaper than most hotels in the area

Review 90:The outside entrance locks didn't work, my keys kept having to be reset.

Review 91:Clean, good neighborhood

Review 92:all was good no compliants, they were very good accomadations

Review 93:Good Contental Breakfast and great staff

Review 94:Room wasn't cleaned in the three days we were there.

Review 95:Friendly staff, clean room. Hotel is a bit old-fashioned. Very good wi-fi!

Review 96:Price was not as quoted on booking.com

Review 97:Nice clean place with a friendly staff
