Less than one hour from Lisbon on the Troia Peninsula, the 1200-acre Troia Resort has luxurious apartments with kitchen facilities, LCD TVs and panoramic ocean, marina or estuary views.
Each apartment’s well-equipped kitchen has a ceramic stove, an oven and a 4-seater dining table. The apartments feature a living room with a sofa and fireplace, as well as an equipped kitchen. Some apartments include access to a private pool.

Review 1：Nice kitchen but poorly equipped for actual cooking. 20 euro more of kitchen gadgets would make the difference. Colander, cheese grater, citrus juicer, spatula ,etc.

Review 3：Paid almost €400 for 2 nights for September which was a bit high considering that it wasn't busy also, room wasn't cleaned during our stay!

Review 5：Also, even during soviet times hotel staff would never clean the apartment while guests were inside. In Troia reaidence, despite my request, cleaning staff just couldn't come 40 minutes later!!!!

Review 6：Th location of the property is amazing, but .... Sleeping with ants is not tha great even when you are right next to the coast. Seriously, if you are paying 150 euros/night, your accommodations ahouldng be filled with ants at anytime.

Review 7：We were told that we were going to have garden view and in the end we did not. The staff asked us to go next morning and talk to the manager. They should have provided a solution upfront.

Review 9：Lack of wifi in the apartments was a surprise as I tend to see this as 'the norm'. The terrace was lovely but did not afford as much privacy between neighbouring apartments as desirable.

Review 10：The apartment was of a good standard and we particularly enjoyed the generous outside terrace. It was well furnished throughout and had fabulous sea views. The kitchen was well stocked although some condiments (basics like salt, pepper & oil, washing powder & washing up liquid for example) would have been a good addition to minimise waste. I do not tend to stay on 'resorts' however we are keen to return to this beautiful area of Portugal. The local beaches are fabulous and the access from Lisbon is really easy.

Review 11：There no stocks in the apartment, dish / washing soap etc. You need to take everything with you. No beach towels as well, only bath towels are provided. The small grocery store is fairly expensive for most items and the sizes are too large for a week's stay. Underground parking for the apartments are small and has a lot of support beams.

Review 13：Apartment had ants. For a price tag like this and overall luxury goal, its very disapointing. They should not put the appartments for rent untill problem is solved. They allow us to change but for a short stay it was too much hassle. They didnt allow guest to use the spa facilities of the chain, not even with a extra payment, strange....

Review 15：There is no daily housekeeping for the apartment, they do every other day or every third day. There is only 1 ATM/cash machine for the entire resort and it ran out of money early in the morning. Many of the hotel and restaurant staff do not speak English or have limited English so there was a considerable amount of misinformation given to us which led to a lot of frustration. No beach/pool towels are provided for people who stay in the apartments. Our assigned parking space in the garage was tiny so using the car was difficult. There was no information given to us about the restaurant options/hours, wifi passcodes, apartment amenities. They do provide a small pamphlet on how to work the major appliances.

Review 16：The location is beautiful and the apartment was spacious and clean.

Review 17：The underground parking is weird - the lights are on a timer and it's nearly impossible to get them to turn back on again (jumping up and down, waving your arms, running around does't work), leaving you in complete and utter darkness - there are no lights anywhere. Thankfully each time we were left in darkness, I was able to use the torch on my iphone to find the switch. But surely the switches should be illuminated so you know where they are? When the wifi worked, it was great, but it only worked about 40% of the time.

Review 18：The apartment was massive and looked pretty new. The view was amazing. Could easily have stayed longer.

Review 19：The beach it is located on is incredibly busy at the weekends, but a walk along the beach offers a much more private setting. Can be quite pricey in the area for supermarket and eating out, so need to plan ahead.

Review 20：All the facilities that you would need in a holiday apartment, clean and new building. Nice modern layout with contemporary fittings. Located on the beach with private parking. Would definitely stay longer.

Review 29：I booked an apartment with a Hot Tub, but the hot tub wasn't working. We paid more 30 euros for this extra utility but we didn't make any use of it. We also faced a problem with the heating. When we arrived to the apartment it was extremely cold and we called the reception who said that a person would come straight away but we waited for 2 hours. You should try to provide a better service for the price that your clients pay.

Review 33：The studios WC have a complete transparent window to the bedroom, living and dining area, making the studios only suitable for one couple without kids. At least on the studio I've stayed the fridge didn't had freezer.

Review 35：The washing machine was broken and the reception staff failed to mention it at the start. The shower in the bathroom came off the wall. There was an ant infestation in the bathroom. The reception staff was slow at dealing with these issues. In general the reception staff was not very well trained at the level expected for the price of the stay. There should be a fidelity squeme to get discounts when booking the next stay. A card or ponts squeme for example.

Review 36：The location and facilities were excellent. The apartment was a good size and well equiped. There was peace and quiet. The beach was just a few meters away.

Review 37：Ferries operate through the night and can be a little noisy. Very much a resort. Not much choice of restaurants. Some of the buildings spoil the appearance of Troia. Doesn't have a pool. You can use the beach club but pay extra, which was disappointing.

Review 40：The apartment was great, very spacious, modern and clean. Really good location, minutes from the beach and from the marina. It is very quite and even on busy times, it never feels crowded. This is definitely the best place to go with kids. It has all the structure a family needs. We have 2 babies and even on the beach you have everything you need close by. The beach is just out of the world. Really long white sand beach, just beautiful.

Review 68：Unfortunately the A/C was not working. Also the jacuzzi heater was not working and water has not been renovated. Instead was chlorinated. Considering it's a small apartment, I don't think that's acceptable. And being a Flat, rented for small periods, how come there is no dishwasher tablets, and nothing to wash plates or cutlery if necessary? There are 5* hotels nearby that provide all that in their residential suites.

Review 71：The location is ideal: 2 minutes from indoor and outdoor hotel pools, 4 minutes from fabulous beaches. The apartment was super clean and safe for toddlers, with kids TV too for some down time. We loved the restaurant in the Design Hotel and A Escola near Comporta, too.

Review 72：Maintenance to the properties seems to be on the back burner. The appartements were finished in 2008, but they are already in need of maintenance, which does not seem to be carried out structurally.

Review 77：The Troia Resort was one of the best hotels I stayed for vacation. We had an apartment on the beach side (building 61). The location is perfect for relaxing. the apartment is luxurious equipped and really spacy. You have all what you need to stay for weeks, fully equipped kitchen, living and bedroom, nice bath! We really enjoyed the environment of the Troia resort, you can walk alone on the beach for miles, the landscape is picturesque. We stayed there mid October, so there weren't that many people around.

Review 82：Only small details really. We arrived late due to a delay of the airplane. At the time it was already dark and it was not easy to find the reception to check in. There weren't any signs either. So be prepared and check the map before you go . Some of the personel did not speak English. Geared up with a small translation pocket book I personally did not mind, but some people might take offence to that.

Review 87：perfect location i.e. walk distance to the beach of white sand ... and if you walk for a few minutes from the crowded part there is almost deserted beach; very nice and clean small city which was really free from beggars and sellers of cheap china products. There was very limited places for dinner (only two restaurants) but we had the rental car and really enjoyed local restaurants in the nearby fishing village

Appartment renters can use the pool of a hotel which is not really close and over-crowded. We ended up never using it. The reception was friendly but totally incompetent, giving us incomplete and confusing information very slowly....

Review 106：Very good appartment which is part of a resort, modern design, wellequipped, overlooking the Marina, with fantastic view from bedroom,in a duplex.Nice beach with interesting landscape, sandbanks, lot's of birds. The peninsula is a natural reserve, with the resort being implanted at the tip that points to Setubal. The view of the Setubal bay is interesting, industrial. An interesting contract with the beach, was boasts clean water and very nice dunes. Setubal is only a ferry drive away, both for pedestrians on a fast and frequent ferry and for cars on an hourly ferry boat. A good town for an excursion and interesting other locations are within easy reach by car.

Review 111：It was not clear that you had to find the central reception to check inand it was only thanks to to the Police that we found this out Th4ere isonly one supermarket which didn't open until 10.00am and closed at 6pm.Not good when lots of the facilities on the resort are closed as it waslow season and you need something for breakfast or dinner. Nowhere inthe bathroom to hang wet towels. No launderette so if you need to dosome washing tough! Not quite what we expected.
