Reviews for Quality Inn Auburn Hills

Review 1:I couldn't use this stay towards earning points with choice priviledges.

Review 2:I thought the ease of booking and the price was amazing. I was unable to use my choice rewards as points for this stay because of how I booked but because of the overall value, I'm okay with that.

Review 3:Staff was friendly, patient, professional. Rooms were nicer, larger than I anticipated. A member of our party had an issue and it was resolved immediately and appropriately.

Review 4:I was woken up at 8am to a slight knock on the door before I could get up someone was barging in, it was house keeping trying to come into the room, luckily we had the other lock placed across so the door wouldn't open all the way. The house keeper still proceeded to try and come in once again at 10, when check out wasn't until 12, we were all asleep bc it was New Year's Day (rough night) and I wasn't pleased with the 2 quiet knocks then barging in. No announcement or anything, just knocked 2 times and opened the door. She did this TWICE. Not pleased at all.

Review 5:Fancy looking Inside, the rooms are clean, and front staff was friendly!

Review 6:Nothing to complain about.

Review 7:Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was very comfortable and clean. Easily accessible to freeway, shopping and many restaurants.

Review 8:Would be nice to have an indoor pool.

Review 9:Located near businesses I needed to visit. Quiet. Had heater with ability to have on at all times (so it wouldn't loudly cycle between on and off).

Review 10:Not so much a complaint as it is a comment, but the breakfast was quite bland and consisted of mostly "processed" stuff....

Review 11:Friendly staff. Close proximity to the Great Lakes Crossing outlet mall.

Review 12:There was nothing I did not like about this hotel

Review 13:The staff at this hotel went above and beyond. They were all extremely friendly. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Review 14:Very friendly and welcoming staff. Helped locate a restaurant for dinner, and printed off directions. Learned we were staying to shop at Great Lakes crossing, and offered a voucher for discounts there. Also called up to the room to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Room was clean, bed very comfortable. Nice bonus that breakfast was also included.

Review 15:The juice was really watered down, and the TV couldn't accept input from our laptop to watch dvds

Review 16:The staff is really personable, each room has temp control, and when the toilet leaked the front desk manager came up to mop it up herself and then offered us a new room.

Review 17:Extremely friendly staff- very accomdating for my daughter and I as we came early. They got us in our room at 12:30 p.m., while check in isn't technically until 3:00.

Review 18:This is my second time here and I was very pleased. Pontiac is my home town and the hotel was central so I could visit family within minutes. I am looking forward to my next visit. Oh! The lady at the front desk gave me the best customer service ever, I don't recall her name but she told me she is from Grand Rapids. The staff in charge of breakfast was very nice and offered to remove plates as we finished breakfast. I never had that type of service before . The customer service alone makes me want to come back .

Review 19:Didn't like the closeness to a lower grade hotel in behind. It's one of the first things you see and gives a bad first impression.

Review 20:Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful.

Review 21:Our rooms were not ready on time. Check in was at 3 pm. We arrived at 4 pm and got one room at 4:30 and one room at 5:00 pm. We used the pool while we waited.

Review 22:Really liked how the staff apologized for not having our room ready in time. They really seemed to empathize with us. They made up for their tardiness.

Review 23:The staff in the breakfast room kept getting in the way of guests trying to get their food. One was loud and rude. She stepped on my husband's foot. She asked people to leave and rushing others out.

Review 24:The bed was comfortable

Review 25:The staff!!! So very friendly, kind, and helpful!! Very clean throughout hotel and our room. Good breakfast. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

Review 26:Our stay was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. From the pool people, breakfast women, the women who cleaned rooms and the people checking us in. This motel made our stay ( my grandson and myself) very enjoyable. They helped with directions for dinner and directions to the zoo in Royal Oak. I cannot compliment them enough.

Review 27:The only complaint was children from the neighboring hotel kept coming into the pool area , asking to be let in and one guest opened the gate and the area was flooded with about 20 kids. No oversight from this hotel and pool towels were never stocked.

Review 28:Bobby , the check in gentleman, was extremely gracious. Hotel was clean, well staffed with a wonderful breakfast. The overall feeling of this hotel is 5 star and guests are treated as such.

Review 29:Paper thin walls so we were kept awake by neighboring guests. Breakfast choice is limited to mostly processed junk food - gets monotonous for a whole week. Difficult to find as the hotel sign is way back off the road.

Review 30:Nice comfortable beds, clean room with plenty of towels. Heated swimming pool was great in the warm weather.

Review 31:Wifi was intemittant at times. Breakfast seating was insufficient at peak times and the food provided was of average quality.

Review 32:Plenty of parking available. Pool was clean. Rooms were spacious. Staff were friendly.

Review 33:Nothing, our room was very clean, towels were plentiful. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Review 34:Miranda (front desk) was extremely helpful to us. She was interested in our stay. I took my 17 year old Granddaughter and her best friend to a concert at the Palace and we also went to the Detroit Zoo. Miranda was very helpful in directions and attractions in the area.

Review 35:Broken pop machine on the 3rd floor.

Review 36:clean, spacious room. Coffee maker in the room- very important. Didn't wake up early enough for breakfast so can't comment on that. Great location, very quiet and conveniently located to where I had to be- the DTE energy music theater. Very kind, helpful staff. Overall, great property.

Review 37:When we went down to breakfast on the 2nd morning of our stay there was no more coffee or orange juice, but it was a busy morning and we didn't arrive at breakfast till 9:30.

Review 38:We enjoyed everything about our stay. The comfy beds, the quiet location and the heated swimming pool. The staff was helpful and very friendly.

Review 39:Had no negatives.

Review 40:Check in smooth and easy thanks to Bobby! He recommended a restaurant for dinner and the fastest route to our concert venue. Super experience.

Review 41:Had water draining on floor in bathroom - don't know where from.

Review 42:Liked the proximity to Great Lakes Crossing but staff not very knowlelgeable about where to eat in the area. Loved the daily cookies in the afternoon!

Review 43:Everything was great from check in to check out,it went smooth. The bed was so comfortable I mean really comfortable but I just need a firm bed. This hotels is minutea away from The mall and a 10 min drive from Dte music. Will stay here again.

Review 44:Wish they had a shuttle to the Palace. $20.00 parking at the Palace is too much.

Review 45:Staff was the friendliest I have ever scene. Air conditioner wasn't working, they had it up & running right away.

Review 46:The weather kept messing with the WiFi but that's okay cause the front desk handled it in a timely fashion.

Review 47:The staff was super helpful and friendly and took care of me with my card situation. The room was super comphy and clean, and the breakfast was pretty good for a hotel breakfast. Will continue to stay there!!!

Review 48:There was nothing to dislike

Review 49:The staff were the best we experienced in all our travels over the years. They were friendly, willing and capable. We were there for 5 days and never experienced anyone without a smile.

Review 50:Scrambled eggs werenot real and salty . So we had the hardboil ,and they were good

Review 51:comfortable bed staff all smiles and talked greetings goodmorning, cleans

Review 52:Sure would be nice if the breakfast had a few more choices.

Review 53:This is our second time staying here. We were happy the first time, and happy with our stay this second time. Very clean, up to date.

Review 54:Only complaint is the location. The drive entrance to the hotel is easy to miss without a visible sign at the roadway.

Review 55:Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast lady was a hoot! She loves her job and it shows! We were in town for a concert at the Palace and decided tI stay an additional night at the hotel. Booking went smoothly. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, would definitely consider staying again!

Review 56:The only thing wrong (but not a major issue at all!) was there was a petrified french fry on the floor next to the bed. Probably went unnoticed under bedskirt.

Review 57:We enjoyed a great breakfast. The staff person was energetic, pleasant and very helpful. This hotel is reasonably priced and not far from Great Lakes Crossings.

Review 58:The room comfort, location, and customer service was great! Especially loved the beds and the continental breakfast was surprisingly more than I expected. Will be back again soon

Review 59:The Parking was not good. I had to park around back. Even then it was hard to find a place to park.

Review 60:The room and the 12:00 check out. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 61:The hotel was very clean, perfect location... Quick easy drive to the palace! The staff was probably the most friendly staff I've ever encountered!

Review 62:Every employee we encountered was friendly and professional. The entire hotel was very clean and well maintained and the free breakfast was very good. What a bargain!

Review 63:I liked that for the cost..the location was perfect..my room was clean ...the staff at the desk for check in were friendly...I got exactly what I booked online....the continental breakfast was great and a staff member went out of her way to help me get things to take food to the room. thank u!!

Review 64:Issues related to it being an older hotel: I heard popping/cracking noises from walls/furniture all night from room adjusting to temps as heater turned on and off. Heater and fridge made noises all night turning on and off. Thin walls...can hear lots from neighbors. (All the above may have been just my particular room) Did not sleep much at all during my 2-night stay.

Review 65:Location Staff

Review 66:We liked it all. I guess the fact that this was an older Motel but there was great effort to make it clean and comfortable was appreciated.

Review 67:The person manning the desk ( Bobby) was especially helpful. We came for April service and he immediately expressed sympathy to us. After having a chance to settle in he called to make sure we had everything we needed and we were comfortable. He was helpful in locating restaurants. On a trip that was a sad for us, he was a ray of sunshine.

Review 68:Staff - especially Bobby - all others were wonderful but we didn't get their names! Everyone was so friendly and helpful - will definitely be back!

Review 69:Your place was a bit difficult to find at first. I expected it to be more visible from the street. No harm done, just turned around and found it on the way back.

Review 70:The staff was friendly and very helpful. At check out I wondered aloud about the make of the mattresses, because the beds were so comfortable. The girl at the desk made a point of finding out for us right away.

Review 71:A better sign to show the entrance from Opdyke Rd. You can see the hotel but the driveway to it can be difficult at night.

Review 72:The staff were very approachable, friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and very clean. Having a small frig was good. The breakfast was good and convenient. Great location for shopping and not far from highway.

Review 73:Can't say I didn't like anything it was all fantastic

Review 74:They are super friendly and professional... I would recommend this hotel. Beds are comfy, clean, my experience was amazing Thank you!!!

Review 75:nothing bad to say

Review 76:front desk very friendly, maintenance man very nice, grounds inside and out clean. Nothing bad to say here everything was excellent stayed here to see a concert at DTE only 10 minutes away

Review 77:Our sink did not drain. Brushed teeth and shaved in the shower.

Review 78:Beds were good, pillows good.. Good breakfast. My wife and I were very impressed with the front desk gal and how is handled my comment about the faulty sink. I was not looking for, nor did I request a concession for that problem. She offered to no charge our stay . I declined and she insisted . She is good for your hotel . We will stay at your facility in the future

Review 79:Nice comfy bed and pillows and it was also great having the fridge in the room. The staff was also very courteous! I would definitely stay there again!

Review 80:I was travelling with my Motorcycle and the staff was very accomodating, holding on to my luggage a couple of hours after checkout so that I didn't need to carry it with me to do my riders course. Also the breakfast was great with a big selection of items. The hotel had a little sitting area outside with a couple of picnic benches located on a pond. Very scenic.

Review 81:The guest names I entered on the page where not the names that the hotel had in their system. My colleagues had problems finding their reservation. Also the reservation from Booking.com doesnt contain the local reservation number.

Review 82:The hot food at the breakfast bar was bad. The "cheese omelet" was rubbery and inedible. Oatmeal was pasty. "Ham" was obviously way over-processed and dried out. Very unappetizing. Although, the "make it yourself" waffles were tasty, and the fruit was fresh. Would find a breakfast joint someplace else.

Review 83:The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure. They had a shuttle to and from The Palace for the Queen concert. They dropped us off at a nice local bar before and after the concert, and ran the shuttle until 1am. It was worth the $10/person to not drive and battle the parking at either venue. Staff was very helpful and printed alternate directions home as construction had us detoured through parts unknown. I would stay there again.

Review 84:This hotel reflects the caring attitude of all the dedicated people who work there. The cleanliness of both the rooms and the beautiful grounds was outstanding. Best of all was the wonderful Charmaine, the breakfast lady, who cheerfully welcomes everyone as if they were a guests in her own home. This was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience for my adult daughter and I on our annual shopping vacation.
