Review 2：The owners are very warm, most welcoming and helpful making you feel you are THEIR guests! The whole ambiance of Casa Vale Del Rei is so comfortable and relaxing you cannot fail to enjoy. Superb!

Review 8：Geraldine and Robin,the owners were wonderfully delightful. Their breakfasts and coffee were freshly made and delicious. The farmhouse is located on top of a hill and has a beautiful sweeping view. The rooms, linens and general hospitality from the hosts were the best. We were given advice on day trips and went to a private beach with golden sand and very few people. The generosity of our hosts was unsurpassed...they loaned us beach towels, coolers, ice packs, beach umbrellas and even provided us with lunch makings. Our five days were pure heaven. We would go back in a minute!
Review 9：The house is beautiful, very tastefully decorated with beautiful gardens which are perfect for reading a book or relaxing by the pool. The quality and presentation of the breakfast was exceptional and the freshly baked cakes and ripe fruits left out for the guests in the afternoon a wonderful touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Review 11：Casa del rei is a lovely house situated in a very pretty and relaxing place. The room was really nice, clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Also Geraldine and her husband make you feel at home and can give you great tips about the area. You could feel what this place means to them and they did everything to make us feel happy. The breakfast is excellent with fresh fruit, juice, nice bread and even a fabulous cooked English breakfast. In the afternoon you could help yourself with freshly baked cake and fruit as well as tee, which we liked a lot. We would love to go back to casa del rei!

Wonderful location for peace and quiet but close enough to Tavira to eat out etc.Geraldine is a fab hostess who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and appreciate the location. Review 30：Basic quality of construction makes the bedrooms noisy. Every door opened or closed along the corridor can be noticed. You have to be in the mood for this type of concept as there may be sometimes some lack of privacy...

Review 32：An absolute sanctuary! The owners make you feel very special. Excellent surroundings; cosy, romantic. Fabulous breakfast. To be recommened without any hesitation. The owner, Geraldine, even prepared a little picnic for husband and myself for the beach at no extra cost and gave us a parsol, beach towels if needed. She also booked a lovely restaurant for us, "Bistrot'o Porto" in Tavira. Well worth going to too. A really incredible place!
Review 33：The location in an orange grove off the N125 is superb and while just a mile or so from the beaches at Lota and Mata Rota you feel you are in the countryside. The breakfasts prepared by Robin and served by his wife Geraldine are out of this world -in a word - superb.

Review 40：Very friendly copple in a beautiful place outside Tavira. The rooms were very comfortable with good bathroom. A planchet in the fridge, tea to make and fruit or cake. Beaufifull garden with lots of space for quiet breakfast. Lots of fruit and fresh made eggs. We traveled around Alentejo and Algarve and slept in 12 different beds, but these beds here in Casa Vale Del Rei were the best.

Fridge space for lunch stuff if you want to take iteasy at he pool for the day. Nice restaurant 5 mins walk. Tavira 5 mindrive. Lots of other beaches within 10/15 min drive. Manta Rotabeach good if you don't want to get the boat across and you canborrow a parasol from the casa

Review 48：The approach to Casa Vale Del Rei is a narrow, dusty road. One wonders.But then you drive through past the orange groves and through the narrowgate and find a small hotel (or large house) with multiple gardens,patios, a lovely pool, welcoming hosts, warm and responsive staff,fabulous breakfast - all in this little unassuming oasis. It is tranquiland pretty and warm. Close to the town but away from tourists. We spenttime reading by the pool but also took advantage of the easy access tothe beach (just 8 minutes away. We came for one night and enjoyed it somuch that on our return trip from Spain we came back for 2 more days.Local restaurants offer fresh fish at reasonable prices. This is aperfect place for r&R. Guests at the hotel were from England, France,Switzerland, usa, Germany and we all agreed that this was a great placeto stay in Portugal.
Review 49：Geraldine and Robin have made their accomodation a flexible option if you want to have the best elements of a hotel with the flexibility to feel at home and be able to have your own space. The breakfast is perfect. The location is just outside Tavira which makes it feel special as it is set right in the middle of an orange grove but close enough to get to the town and beaches. i will definitely revisit.

Review 55：It was extremely friendly and homely. There are lots of seating areas in the garden which felt secluded. The pool is small but well kept. There are lots of ponds and many frogs in a very attractive garden surrounded by orange trees. We were allocated a shelf in the fridge and told to help ourselves to fruit, wine, tea & coffee and cake in the afternoons. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very efficient and friendly. The owners are very helpful and gave us maps of the area and lots of information. We recommend Casa Vale Del Rei and plan to return.

Wonderful owners, excellent breakfast, big bedroom, free parking, and a swimming pool which was very welcome as there was a heatwave happening. We didn't want to leave and were recommending it later in our trip to fellow travellors headed in that direction.

The garden area was lovely for coffee/tea & our special breakfasts. You have a choice of tables in the garden/pool area and a wonderful breakfast is served. Review 61：Situated in an elevated tranquil position surrounded by orange groves, the views of sea and rolling countryside are enhanced by the intoxicating scent of orange blossom. The parking facilities are good and you are led through the fantastic gardens to your room which has enormous comfortable bed and plenty of hanging space and drawers. The ensuite is modern and pristine. There is a comfortable lounge with satellite tv and cd.You have access to a fridge and freezer for your own snacks and drinks with plates and utensils provided should perhaps you wish to make a light lunch. You are not pressured to leave the premises during the day with ample quiet spots in the gardens or round the beautiful pool to chill or read. Cakes are provided for guests usually at 4.00pm to go with your tea or coffee along with advice of good restaurants for dinner. Breakfast is amazing with fresh prepared fruit platters and eggs from the farm on top of the next hill, finished with fresh warm bread and homemade marmalade, normally served in the garden providing a glorious start to every day. A car is essential here and the local roads are not too busy and in good condition.
