Reviews for Art & Spa

Review 1:First of all it isn´t easy to find, since there is no big sign at the entrance (only a tiny 30x30cm black plaque. There is a big sign on the villa itself, but the trees in front of the building cover it pretty much. It used to be a different hotel, so they can´t decide, if the are a 5* or 4* hotel... on the outer signs, there are 5* printed... on the menu in the restaurant it´s 4* ?!... The Spa is a bit small with only 1 Sauna and 1 steam bath... both of which have quite a dangerous installment!! If you enter the steam batch you can get heavily burned, because they put valve, where the steam comes out right at your ankle height.. I almost burned myself... unbelievable... the same thing goes for the sauna, where my girlfriend got burned on some METAL (!! )cover that keep you from touching the heating rods (strange sauna model anyway!)...on top of that, the played a radio channel inside the sauna !!?? Had dinner in the restaurant, lights were way to bright for the night, and the waiter didn´t even know, what the 3 course menu was, which was promoted at the reception?!! seems the staff isn´t highly trained..hanging around at the bar talking to each other rather then welcoming us to a table... The pool/spa guy who was supposed to keep watch of the area let a bunch of obnoxious polish guests play water polo in the spa pool, without intervening??!! The bathroom in our room had a terrible showerhead!! You couldn´t fixate it and it was coming off over and over again !!

Review 2:The hotel lies quite lovely in a small park, no noise from the street. The 3 course menu in the restaurant was delicious, we had beef carpacio with truffels as starters, a creamy pumpkin soup and a great risotto with mushrooms and pork. Breakfast was also good with lots of selection and great fresh bread!!

Review 3:When we arrived at hotel we noticed that this is actually 5* hotel, therefore expectations were high. We were disapponited mostly by cleanliness at the room and in the dining area. Hotel bar was open only till 10pm.

Review 4:breakfast, wellness, location,

Review 5:No access to tennis court. Poor housekeeping, dirty sheets.

Review 6:Beautiful swimming pool. Beautiful breakfast. lovely staff. Lovely spacious room. Lovely toiletries.

Review 7:We felt some noise(maybe technical problem) in the room and we were hard to sleep so complained to the staff. But it wasn't solved. Breakfast and dinner(half board) were not valuable as 5 star hotel.

Review 8:Free spa and sauna were good.

Review 9:I didn't like that there was no iron, and the hair dryer was very poor, out from that this hotel is quite good.

Review 10:I liked the old feel of the property the friendly staff, the food at dinner was beautiful and well presented. The room was large and had a lovely old world feel. The swimming pool was pretty and was warm, the salt cave and sauna were both lovely.

Review 11:Breakfast too modest. Parking could be free. Cleaning ladies were strange. Wifi was moderate.

Review 12:Very ok, not a five star, rather a nice small boutique hotel. Not crowded and quiet. The pool and restaurant are great. Location is very good. Staff friendly and very nice. In general nice rest, but nothing special.

Review 13:just two saunas

Review 14:I highly recommend this hotel - very nice and polite stuff, good location, great breakfast. Our room was very spacious, clean, with a touch of history. We could check in sooner and let our car in front of the hotel after the check out.

Review 15:Restaurant understaffed. Some of the front desk staff have limited English (some excellent). They misunderstood (or made a mistake) with two of our reservations: spa (wrong date), New Year's Eve (lost reservation).

Review 16:Zero

Review 17:Staff had been referred to as rude in previous reviews. They are simply professional and really were excellent and very nice throughout our week long stay. The food in Zakopane is excellent, the food in the hotel is breathtaking and cheap. Easy to use wifi, big rooms (we had the cheapest option and were amazed at the size and silence). I stay in a LOT of hotels and this was one of the best.

Review 18:had prebooked a facial at the SPA, when I got there 2 weeks after - they didnt know which one I had booked, and when I told them - they werent able to give that treatment at the time. This should have been informed.

Review 19:staff very polite and helpful professional SPA area really nice

Review 20:The service is very good but not at 5 stars level; 4 stars should be more honest for this hotel because of some defects: room normal dimensions, blanket to cover the mattress too short, difficult entering/exit in bathtub, very bad wi-fi connection in my room

Review 21:Parking, position, silence, kindness of the staff. Overall is a very good hotel and the quality/price ratio is excellent

Review 22:Broken tiles in bathroom. Tatty, ripped bed clothes, towels and robe. Wifi was totally inadequate, and while it was obvious the hotel attempted to address this, whoever they hired didn't know much about wifi. Overall expected more from a 5*.

Review 23:Close walk to town. Nice pool, decent service. Buffet acceptable.

Review 24:Shame there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Review 25:The location is perfect! Right in between the bus/train stations and the main drag with all the entertainment/restaurants. Very relaxing, food is good, overall being in Zakopane is soothing for the soul. Spa is amazing! Overall, a perfect base from which to explore the area.

Review 26:A kettle in the room with tea and coffee making facilities would have been greatly appreciated.

Review 27:Stylish and luxurious. Friendly, English speaking staff. Good food and excellent facilities.

Review 28:The lounge/bar (Cafe 1920) was not open but this was a very minor problem as you could get room service.

Review 29:Great quiet position, a few minutes walk from the hectic main street. Beautiful room, excellent food in the restaurant & a good breakfast. You can easily walk to all the attractions in Zakopane - well worth visiting.

Review 30:Wifi connection was poor. The shower in our bathroom was loose and difficult.

Review 31:Dining experience in the hotel surpassed our expectation, returned the second night. Decor and theme of hotel was great.

Review 32:Furniture was awful Mattress was two single mattresses pushed together. Mattress was incredibly uncomfortable Shower was awful, floor got drenched as the glass only covered half the space and swung open. Breakfast order took three attempts before they got it right. Bathroom vent fan cover fell from wall when we initially opened the bathroom door and almost fell on my head. Walk to the room was very long through multiple stairways and around the pool, in a different building. Room smelled of chlorine. When we complained about the room we were greeted with blank stares and they asked if the service was good. Grossly over rated. NOT A FIVE STAY. Two and a half stars if lucky.

Review 33:Breakfast was OK. Service was reasonable. And the location was great

Review 34:The bathroom is very design but not very easy - it is more adapted for bath than shower.

Review 35:Very calm and comfortable room. Good restaurant with local and tasty food.

Review 36:A 5 star hotel with holes in the curtains and bedding in our room. The towels were old and fraying. We expected higher standard for 5 stars. A shame the outside bar and tables were not funtional.

Review 37:Staff helpful and very polite. We only had breakfast in the dining room which was adequate with a varied choice. The pool was enjoyable and relaxing.

Review 38:The quality of the services is not up to a 5 or even a 4 star hotel which is a pity because the hotel is very charming. With a little more attention and some small details the hotel could be perfect. one of the bed sheets were torn, there is no garbage in the room, the quality of the pillows is very bad. it would have been nice to have a small table and 2 chairs on the balcony to enjoy the view from the room. The staff does not speak english very well.

Review 39:The location is very good, close to the main street but in a very quiet area. The hotel's exterior is very charming and relaxing which is the nicest thing about the hotel. The pool and the spa area are nice as well. The breakfast was not bad, we asked for extra omelet, eggs, pancakes,... and they were delicious.

Review 40:Dated and drab room. Not the most comfortable bed. Requested to be moved from first room, too close to street and noise.

Review 41:Old world grande. Great restaurants. Wonderful pool and spa. Best setting. Excellent staff.

Review 42:If you want 3*+ - this is the one. But the price will be to expensive. I have no ideas how they got 5*. Nothing even close. Looks like there is no people. Would not recommend this hotel.

Review 43:Go to another restaurant! Expensive and long waiting.

Review 44:Very nice and luxury hotel, beautiful surrounding close to everything. Quite and very nive beds. Braekfast was also wonderful

Review 45:breakfast

Review 46:The location was great, easy to parking your car. The swimming pool and the accomodation was great.

Review 47:Clean and quiet

Review 48:The water in the swimming pool should be more warm

Review 49:Great location, very quite, nice view from the window, helpfull stuff

Review 50:Wellness, art, kind people, good massage, excellent meal, flowers everywhere

Review 51:every thing. location, facilities, rooms and above all, great staff.

Review 52:Nothing

Review 53:Everything, location, huge rooms, great pool and spa, short walk to centre

Review 54:ive stayed there a few times happy with the hotel no real bad points so easy to work to the town

Review 55:Housekeeping service forgot to replace several bathroom items

Review 56:Location, very polite staff, large room size, excellent restaurant!

Review 57:Quality rooms, great breakfast, very reasonable price for what is provided.

Review 58:Room was great; staff were happy to help

Review 59:the spa

Review 60:staff brilliant with a smile

Review 61:slowly internet connection

Review 62:location, parking, room, welness,

Review 63:Friendly atmosphere

Review 64:great staff very kind the lady at the reception..ready to help us. nice breakfast. nice pool and sauna..really a great experience

Review 65:The beautiful breakfast and setting.

Review 66:very convenient location, just a few steps from the bus station. Information center just across the street.

Review 67:Nothing really, if I was picky I'd say that staff were very polite but dry and not very approachable. It is splitting hair though

Review 68:Very spacious and well decorated. Relaxing stay and only short walk to the town centre

Review 69:Fantastic hotel. The location was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with a really comfortable bed and great bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Zakopane.

Review 70:-

Review 71:Very nice place near to the center but not that noisy. The room was clean and big enough for us. The staff was always helpful and very kind. The breakfast was good as well. We enjoyed it.

Review 72:Poor Wifi Signal, had to go to lobby to use it...But its not the end of the world..More pillows would be good also.

Review 73:Beautiful Place to Stay, Staff very accomadating to our needs, nice to come back after a full day to relax with a Pool, spa and sauna. Room was very nice and clean. I would stay again. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Review 74:We had upgraded our room when we booked but they tried to give us a standard room and didn't tell us. We worked it out and had to argue with them for the room we had booked. Very underhand. Staff were terrible - really unhelpful and unpleasant.

Review 75:Location was great and it is a lovely hotel. The pool is stunning and the rooms are good.

Review 76:For sure it is not 5* hotel but very strong 4*. Outside the hotel there is a nice area with plants (trees, ...) but inside you won't feel like in luxury 5* hotel. Breakfast is for sure good but also not a 5* standard.

Review 77:Location quite close to city center but the neighborhood is quiet so you want hear any noise from the street or city sounds. Staff is friendly and smiling.

Review 78:The beds were a little hard. I prefer a softer mattress.

Review 79:The staff was top notch! Friendly and attentive. One of the front desk guys recommended the perfect hiking trail and Paulina gave the perfect spa treatments! Perfect!

Review 80:Attentive staff, without any sense that they were imposing. Large rooms, nicely retro. Absolutely first-class dinner in the hotel restaurant, served with great grace. All in all superb.

Review 81:Potentially could be a first rate hotel, management need to have their finger on the pulse, behind the desk some of the staff attitude to guests from the old era a smile a hello does not cost, 3 days to get our TV fixed, holes in bathroom towels -- who ever is the owner get the details sorted and you have a first rate hotel.

Review 82:Great location a boutique feel to the hotel with good spa facilities & pleasant breakfast staff

Review 83:The hot tub is actually a cold tub as it is attached to the pool. Seeing as a hot tub was a requirement for our stay, we were disappointed, but luckily the room had a bathtub.

Review 84:Great staff, breakfast, location, pool.

Review 85:- In the 5 * hotel you do expect to have Wi-Fi working properly ( wasnt there, they should change internet supplier), needed to go out of the room! to be able to use Wi-Fi( sick!) -horrible towels and dressing-gowns, very used, old -tv very aged and small choice of channels, -their rooms are not 5* star hotel rooms, I could rate them as poor 4 *, -hotel has a huge potential , the building is beautiful but they need invest some money just to simply renovate this hotel inside to ba able to rate it as a 5 * hotel,

Review 86:- staff at the hotel very nice , friendly and helpful, they did care about their customers, -very good service in the hotel's restaurant, excellent food, - location very central, convinient -very good Spa facilities,

Review 87:The hotel was rather empty when we stayed which was a pity as it affected the atmosphere of places like the dining room (where we didn't want to be the only couple eating in the evening - although I'm sure the food would have been excellent). The 1920 bar would have been much better if it offered snacks of some sort rather than just drinks. The bathroom looked wonderful but, unfortunately, the shower was badly designed and water went everywhere when we used it!

Review 88:The décor was fantastic and also the setting of the hotel with lovely grounds and a swimming pool. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was beautifully located and set out. The staff were friendly and the factilities were very good.

Review 89:Towels could have been softer and better quality!

Review 90:Lovely clean hotel. Staff very attentive. Excellent location for walking holiday. We would highly recommend.

Review 91:Only one masseuse at spa, breakfast running out at 9am, sub-par beds/bedding, shower, rooms a bit dated.

Review 92:Location was unbeatable as you can easily walk to Krupowki street.

Review 93:Rooms a little old fashioned, small portable tv, no tea or coffee facilities in room, bed not as comfortable as in other hotels we,ve stayed in. Nice bathroom though!

Review 94:Good location, lovely building and grounds, fab swimming pool Breakfast very nice, lovely dining room

Review 95:The 370 zt facial - no details on prices were provided before the services were completed.

Review 96:The overall appearance, opulence and maintenance of the hotel was lovely. The indoor pool and sauna was wonderful and we enjoyed the spa services.

Review 97:The hotel staff can be a little formal but they are extremely helpful and courteous. I don't think it is a 5 star hotel as the rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable.

Review 98:Great value for money. It's within walking distance to the center of Zakopane. We used the spa and got an amazing massage from two lovely staff. They were so friendly and obliging.

Review 99:Expensive.

Review 100:The hotel is located between the downtown and bus terminal of Zakopane. Staff were very kind and the facility was comfortable to stay one night. The restaurant serving breakfast was also very sophisticated.

Review 101:some broken curtains in my room was giving a cheap effect to this hostel, too bad :(

Review 102:swimming pool sauna breakfast old style room decoration reception

Review 103:Rooms not really as luxurious as true 5 star hotel but still well presented.

Review 104:Nice hotel close to centre of town. Great sized room with two balconies. Good value for money, nice spa very reasonably priced treatments. Beautiful public rooms, very helpful staff.

Review 105:The spa was not poor but not very fancy either. A gym would add extra value.

Review 106:Very friendly staff and good value for money. The food was well over our expectations.

Review 107:the staff, the room wasnt 5 stars, had to mend the curtains, normaly when we stay in hotels you get tea ect in room, not this hotel and when we ask we had to pay for it, i could on but i am not going to this not a 5 star luckly to be a 3

Review 108:the food wasnt bad and the pool.

Review 109:No bin in room, jacuzzi didn't work, 10zt for any room service, poolfreezing, steam room dirty and tiles falling off, had to pay for carpark, very noisy wooden corridors, pigeons outside window everyday, dogbarked outside all day, no kettle or tea/coffee in room, spa levelstunk of gasoline!

Review 110:Breakfast, location

Review 111:They have a lovely pool but it was freezing cold. Most people could not enjoy it.

Review 112:We liked the carriage ride caravan in the snow organized by the hotel and the lovely Christmas eve dinner and decorations.

Review 113:It was generally unwelcoming/unfriendly The Hotel was dated and had noatmosphere The exaggerated marketing of its facilities in relation tothe Spa (one of the main reasons we booked and paid a premium for thishotel) The facilities were average at best (the steam room was the sizeof a small toilet!) At £200 a night it is vastly overpriced for what itis and the 5* rating is in my opinion wrong. It's at best a 3* We onlystayed for breakfast but what was offered was fairly average/standardand staff were not very attentive - they did not serve coffee atbreakfast (I would have thought this should be a pre-requisite for a 5*hotel). Having stayed in a lower standard of hotel in Zakopanepreviously for £40 a night there was not a huge amount of difference tobe honest!

Review 114:Shower,bath,

Review 115:Room, location,

Review 116:Breakfast wasn't what I expected

Review 117:Pool was ok

Review 118:nicely restored 1920' property, caring staff and gourmet cuisine, midtown but quiet location, beatiful spa

Review 119:Walls too thin in our room. Neighbours were not that loud but audible enough.

Review 120:Location Swimming pool Breakfast

Review 121:Very friendly staff Delicious breakfast Spacious, luxurious rooms

Review 122:The necessity to charge for parking.

Review 123:Large comfortable room with very nice pool/spa facilities. Location in Zakapone was perfect.

Review 124:The spa was amazing, room really big, and comfortable, only 2 min away from train station and 5 to 10 min walk to city center

Review 125:Parking charge.

Review 126:Spa, bedroom, bathroom, location. Breakfast, decor, peacefulness. Decent price for such a nice hotel

Review 127:nice spa, very good breakfast, location was good

Review 128:Very cosy and comfortable SPA facilities. Great massage !!!
